Every time I've been here it's been great. The bouncer Peter makes every experience amazing. You couldn't feel safer knowing that Peter is on shift, you will be looked after and anything you need, he will solve. Could not recommend any more, you will get home safe and Peter will make sure of it.

I bought a ribeye here the other week and although I was quite close to closing, the food came out quickly, fresh, delicious and with a smile. Has to be the best steak I’ve had in Worthing, and for a good price. Even the salad was great. Don’t waste your money at miller and carter

Absolutely love eating here! My favourite is the halloumi burger in a brioche bun..its never over cooked as some tend to do with halloumi..would highly recommend ..service is A rate. And who doesn't want to sit overlooking the sea!

It was my first time there. I was hoping to see some musicians "jam" but due to a lack of musicians it turned into karaoke, which was fun to watch. The food was great, the wine was great and the service (kudos to the new lady: Eden) was delightful. I look forward to returning.

Monday night meals are now solved. While lots of other restaurants are closed, you can get some of the best Turkish food in Worthing, either in the bar, or if the weather is good out on the terrace looking out at the sea. You may know Escape as the late night bar - it’s open later than anywhere else in town every day, but their secret is the excellent, super-fresh, really high quality food. We had friendly and helpful guidance through the menu. The steaks and lamb come on sizzling hot rocks that allow you to continue to cut and cook your food for quite a while so you can have your steak exactly as you like it. Don’t touch the rock! Deserts are good too, but you probably will need to take food home with you- particularly if you also have one of the great range of starters. My advice: share a starter. Alternatively, a shared mixed starter makes a pretty good small plate meal in itself. But then you miss out on the very good mains. It’s open all week, so you can work your way around the menu over time. Also: check out the cocktails- sometimes there’s a deal so it’s worth getting two. In summary, an unexpected gem for food that you might have thought was just a late night bar. Turns out it’s both!

Fantastic fish -- sea bass, prawns and whitebait were all outstanding! The prix fixe lunch special (two courses for 15 quid) is an amazing deal, especially considering the waterfront location.

Massive fish filled with mainly sides. Lots of chips and salad and four pieces of what we ordered as a mix grill. We ordered 7 meals costing almost £100. The meat and chicken portions were a joke! Which explains why the waiter insisted we paid for the order before we even had the food. When the food arrived and saw the size of the food and complained they said it’s too late now we u have paid nothing we can do! Don’t fall for the meal deal. It’s full of chips and salad only. Not worth the money at all

Steak on the hot stone was fantastic and the guy running the place was very friendly.

I was wondering why so few people were in there. The front door was so stiff that I thought it was locked. It took ages to pour a Guinness and my companion said the the there was sick in two of the ladies cubicles and no loo paper. The gents seemed good. I was a bit embarrassed to have suggested it

What a fabulous place. Great food, brilliant service, thoroughly enjoyable experience. We shared halloumi and garlic bread starters followed by a ribeye steak for my partner and I had the falafel & hummus, both served with a lovely salad and fries. The steak comes on a 'hot stone', quite a spectacle, and the diner cooks the meat to their taste at the table. The falafel was crispy on the outside & soft on the inside, the hummus creamy, both delicious and such a large portion I took half home for lunch the next day! This was our first visit but definitely not our last. Food, 2 pints of Moretti and 2 coffees, £60, worth every penny :)

Really lovely food, good portion sizes, and the actual venue itself is really cool. The bar area is funky with swinging chairs and decorations around the room, then the actual restaurant area is very calm and comfy. We came in as a big group of 15 and I can’t fault the service we had. Big shout out to Toni, she was absolutely stellar, one of the best nights of service I’ve had. Everyone was really pleased with their food, drinks, and service overall so no complaints from us!

Good food and booze, despite being very busy 😋

First and Foremost the staff were outstanding, going above and beyond to cater to your needs. The food was absolutely delicious, and the salad was freshly made and everything else was mouthwatering. Not to forget the ambience of where the restaurant is placed overlooking the beach. Cocktails were on point!

bald chub of a bouncer out front, who clearly suffers from little man’s syndrome was extremely rude. Refused us entry and threatened to hit me for asking for an explanation. Disgusting behaviour. Would like to be contacted with security company’s information as shouldn’t be working in the industry.

I hired Escapes back area for mine and my twin brothers 21st Birthday party, and we were very impressed. The communication was excellent from the staff, and the staff on the night were on it! The space was large enough for all of our guests (Roughly 60!). We had spoken about 2 specialty cocktails for our night, and they did not disappoint, they specially crafted to drinks , perfect for me and my brother, and they were delicious! All of our guests complimented us on the drinks, the service, and the space itself! They allowed us to store our 2 cakes and cater for ourselves as well. The only thing I would say, is the Space got rather hot, due to there not being much ventilation (it was the middle of August after all, and there was air con, and they did bring in fans for us) and our guests all dancing and enjoying themselves, but we were aloud to pop into the main bar or outside to chill out if needed, despite the wet weather that evening! All in all, I would highly recommend this venue, as the staff and management team are brilliant, and it’s the perfect space for any occasion!

Michael made our visit special and engadged with my 3 year old neice making her visit fun. Overall the escape bar I would rate higher then 5 stars if I could

Was out on my first child free night staff was happy to take the money till I was refused drink was no explanation just told no! All other bar staff was shock and said I did nothing wrong I walk away on my own, but this brown hair boy like was so rude! Too many dogs in such a small crowded space that serves food. Wine is overpriced. Staff were polite and quick to serve

We booked the dome outside for four of us. You only get two hour slots. We would have preferred three hours because two hours is not long enough to have a three course meal with cocktails etc. Nevertheless we had a great time in a warm and sturdy dome which was surprisingly soundproof despite very strong gales outside. We all had steaks on the hot stone and all were first class. Really good value and happy service. Thank you!

Just wanted to thank and praise The Escape Bar & Grill last night for hosting my daughter's 21st birthday party. The venue was excellent, the food spot on and the DJ certainly got the room jumping! The whole experience was pain-free and all the staff including security and bar were brilliant, they looked after us all perfectly. Thank you very much 😊 Thoroughly recommend for a party 🥳

Love this place! Really well run, very welcoming and in a perfect spot to look at the sea or people watch!

Brilliant food and cocktails along the seafront. I had the hunters chicken burger with a white Russian cocktail. The bar staff were friendly and the service was quick. Definitely recommend if you are looking for an interesting place to eat.

Having only decided to go out last minute, we chose escape. It did not let us down. I had the Porterhouse steak served on black stone. Allowing me to cook to medium rare how I like. The percentage of sirloin to fillet was superb and the quality was too. My girlfriend had a rump steak in the same way. Both came with a choice of fries or steak cut chips, dressed salad and three sauces, all of which were tasty. All washed done with a porn star for my girlfriend and a glass of malbec for myself, served at perfect temperature. I also asked for a small portion of wings that were not as a starter on the menu, but they also accommodated this for me. Nothing seemed too much. We were served by Michael. A true credit to the venue. Knowledgeable, polite and professional, but able to have a laugh as well. We hope you get recognition for this and your hard work. A hidden gem of a place. We will definitely be returning.

Had a lovely meal whilst sitting on a swing chair with a lovely view. Staff are really helpful and friendly and care. I had a cheeseburger and it was very delicious and well presented. The food is handmade. Cocktails are made really well. I would recommend for a place to sit on a nice hot day. Thank you for a lovely experience escape team !

We didn’t eat or drink here but we were chased by an unknown man this morning down Worthing Sea Front and the owner of this bar was brilliant. He saw us in the alleyway hiding behind his bar and then he escorted us away, to where our family member was picking us up. Lovely gentlemen and so grateful he was there to help and make sure we were picked up safely. *incident reported to the Police*

This places is pretty cool drinks are expensive but I feel prices reflect with what is going on in the current world e.g inflation.... The staff are actually really cool nice bunch friendly people and was make conversation jokes they just seem like a good bunch of people to be fair and highly recommend to come and grab a drink here!

My son in law booked one of the outdoor domes for my daughters 40th birthday on Thursday 12th May for our party of 6. He booked it a couple of weeks in advance so you can imagine his dismay when on Monday 9th May he received an email from the restaurant claiming that due to changes in management they were taking down the domes and cancelling our booking. I thought it odd that they didn't offer us a table in the restaurant instead. On the evening of the 12th when we drove pasted to our hastily booked alternative venue , we found out why. To our astonishment we saw saw the dome still up and a party of dinners enjoying a meal. How totally unprofessional they knew it was a special occasion ,I wouldn't recommend you rely on this bunch as you may be let down as we were.

The advertisement doesn’t actually show what this place is really like! The Dome is covered in seagull poo which, when sitting inside, makes it look like it’s raining! The terrace is a mecca for smokers who crowd around outside the dome, so that their noise, smoke and smell wafts inside the dome. Not pleasant. The menu offered rump and fillet steak, but there was no fillet and only 3 rumps left and we needed 4. There were also no baked potatoes which we wanted, so we had to have chips. The hot stone it’s delivered on is definitely style over substance. There’s nowhere to cut the enormous steaks which arrived and so they continue to cook. Initially we had to wait 45 minutes for a drink and one hour for the food, but without the side salad! Luckily we had a lovely waitress called Viv (?) who was delightful and couldn’t apologise enough. We obviously were not their target audience, being well over 20, and non smokers who enjoy good food. The concept is a good one, but work needs to be done to make it acceptable to the more discerning punter!

What a lovely surprise this was!! Went out with my family for a dinner here and was way beyond our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious and I'd highly recommend the steak, they bring it on a hot plate so you can enjoy it to perfection. We also got to sit in one of the bubbles out the front which made the experience even more special. Thank you.

We were warmly welcomed by Eamonn the Superviser at Bar and Grill in Worthing. A beautiful trendy place with 2 giant causy bubbles at the entrance and a romantic bench on a swing. Eamonn was so kind, helping me out with my mobility being my "loo guide" holding my arm gently, warming the bubble up, telling my husband were the nearest disable parking bay was. Once inside causy the bubble, we had lovely drinks and a pleasant meal. We ask for some salsa sauce to add on and Eamonn cells back with salsa and sweet chilli sauce. The whole experience at ESCAPE Bar and Grill was a real little escape and we look forward to returning on our next trip in Worthing. Thank you Eamonn for your kindness and great service! Xxx

Fabulous experience with family over from Oz in our own bubble. Our server couldn't do enough for us (thank you so much) and the food was really good with cook your own steaks on a hot stone with various dipping sauces. Yummy!

Very friendly staff but I ruined my Christmas day. Came without a reservation, they let me wait 2 hours after my aperitif and order a bottle of wine to tell me that there was no more seafood and that I had to settle for a piece of beef that was too hard that I couldn't eat and leave everything. Why promise me a Christmas meal and then a plate of seafood? And not immediately ask the chef what was left in the kitchen? The worst and most expensive Christmas meal I have ever had.Otherwise the staff is very nice I din't regret leaving a 10 pound tip
