this is the best fish & chip bar by far,I had a small cod with chips and it was a big size for the small portion,the batter is lovely & crispy,not oily at all,I could of eaten more it's that good,if your thinking of ordering from here,or have never tried,I 1000% recommend trying,you certainly will not be disappointed,so glad I've found a fish & chip bar that delivers excellent quality food

have ordered from here for years with no issues and we travel by car to collect. something has changed, as today we ordered 2 cod and chips and 1 chicken burger and chips. the chips were not edible and the chicken burger has drastically changed in regards to quality. maybe the potatoes used were sub standard and not to the usual high quality chips, the chicken burger was nowhere near the same quality. such a shame as you were our go-to takeaway shop.

I have used this place about 6/7 times over the past 3 months when passing by,and I have to say its very good the fish is crispy and the chips 🍟 are the same. All cooked to order excellent value 👌.

Booked in advance for a particular time and it was spot on. Fish was tasty and hot, good portion and not greasy. Well packaged in a box. Chips are the best in the local area and a good size potion. Definitely recommend Equinox.

This is the best fish & chips I've ever had,the batter on the fish was so crispy,and not oily at all,big portions too,I used to order from here a while back,but then they didn't deliver to my area being to far,had a look again as I was craving fish & chips and they said they deliver,I enjoyed every mouthful,and will be 100% ordering again soon.

Have used Equinox before and if was great, O dear what happened to the Quality, just had cod and chips,Disgusting, fish totally overcooked, chips dry and hard,mushy peas were mostly water,I'm sorry I won't be using you again

Everything was perfect except that they did not read the notes - I requested contact-free delivery with the bell bring rung and the bag being left on the doorstep - the man waited to hand the bag directly to me from very close to the door.

Lamb Donna wrap, perfect proportion of meat to salad. Chicken, Donna meat and chips cooked to perfection. Well worth the money. Arrived well packed and hot

As a self employed guy who works away alot all around the country i give credit where its due when it comes to food but the food we had was terrible .... The chips were hard like they had been cooked a few times,the pitta bread was hard and crispy and the dogga meat wasn't the nicest also I asked for a mixed kebab but he would only sell separate kebabs and wanted double the price ....disappointing really all round.These takeaways should always remember that Customer is King !!!!!

Donna Kebab was freshly carved with a fresh salad. Excellent flavour. Chicken was well cooked with beautiful chips. An excellent meal.

Genuinely the best fish and chips around. Have ordered multiple times and they are consistently fantastic. Order through Just Eat and delivery time is speedy and food is piping hot every time. Chips are fresh and crispy and portion size Is very generous. Fish is amazing, fresh, cripsy and cooked to order. Best curry sauce around! Battered sausage is not the best it's absolutely fine however everything else is so good it doesn't matter!

We have been using Equinox for a few years and I can honestly say it's the best in Town. Generous size portions, fish cooked to perfection in non soggy batter. Chips are perfect, no grease to be seen. Staff are friendly and efficient as are the delivery drivers and if it slightly goes over the time you asked for you get a text to apologise for the delay which is very rare. Well done Equinox, just perfect!

The sausage in batter just tasted of fish so I suggest if you don't eat fish like myself do not order a sausage in batter

Perfect fish, dry chips albeit a bit flavourless, in my opinion as good as you are going to get, shame it's not cooked in beef dripping but that's just a personal thing, recommended!

Ordered fish and chips through one of the apps. First time from Equinox. Initially I was very pleased because the courier was so friendly and the food was piping hot. Fish was lovely but I soon noticed that although the chips were piping hot they did not seem fresh like they had been sitting there for a while? Therefore we didn't eat all of the chips. A little disappointing.

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips. Great quality batter, great quality food, all really tasty. It isn't cheap but I don't care, it's worth it. I do always wonder why they don't always have large fish when I go but I always enjoy it. Definitely worth a visit, don't not go because the parade of shops doesn't look great, it's worth the visit.

Really good - the cod was moist and flavoursome, the batter was just the right thickness and perfectly crisp, the chips were great.

Usually I am hesitant to order fish and chips online because I think its much better fresh. However the cod, chips and curry sauce were unreal! The cod was lovely and crispy (not soggy at all like other places can be.) Just a perfect meal. Would highly recommend!

Ok. So was really pleasantly surprised by this place. Just being blunt, my daughter has special needs and can't eat alot of foods we all take for granted and I didn't fancy giving her, her boring puree food last night. So went here. Was going to get a cod bites portion and some chips. When mentioned it was for our daughter they suggested the kids menu which had the same thing we wanted but cheaper and as a whole meal. There was 5 cod strips and a portion of chips and a carton of drink. The cod was battered and cooked fresh on the spot and was cooked perfectly. The chips were also done fresh and were nice. My daughter ate as much as she could and she was very happy. Next time we will order again as a whole family.

Your better off ordering directly to them and picking it up directly cheaper than Just eat

After reading the review we were excited to try, but was very disappointed :( I asked for 3x salt and vinegar the chips came without any. The curry sauce was like water, and my sausage in batter. Everything else was okay.

Equinox fish bar ( hackbridge ) is the best in shell I say the whole of London as I have tried many fish shops in by the seaside and this fish shop is just Devine in quality and quantity there cod is mouth watering and there chips is just so crispy and crunchy I know that they cut and blanch the chips to order every single time I have been there customer for over many years my family love it it’s just incredible and tasty at the same time a fab treat for a Friday or any day of the week they are still serving us even in this hard covid 19 times so I would like to say thank you to all the staff and team who are providing us fresh food day in day out 5 stars all around ****** 😊
