Time on Google maps was wrong, but since been adjusted

have ordered from here for years with no issues and we travel by car to collect. something has changed, as today we ordered 2 cod and chips and 1 chicken burger and chips. the chips were not edible and the chicken burger has drastically changed in regards to quality. maybe the potatoes used were sub standard and not to the usual high quality chips, the chicken burger was nowhere near the same quality. such a shame as you were our go-to takeaway shop.

I have used this place about 6/7 times over the past 3 months when passing by,and I have to say its very good the fish is crispy and the chips 🍟 are the same. All cooked to order excellent value 👌.

Have used Equinox before and if was great, O dear what happened to the Quality, just had cod and chips,Disgusting, fish totally overcooked, chips dry and hard,mushy peas were mostly water,I'm sorry I won't be using you again

As a self employed guy who works away alot all around the country i give credit where its due when it comes to food but the food we had was terrible .... The chips were hard like they had been cooked a few times,the pitta bread was hard and crispy and the dogga meat wasn't the nicest also I asked for a mixed kebab but he would only sell separate kebabs and wanted double the price ....disappointing really all round.These takeaways should always remember that Customer is King !!!!!

Genuinely the best fish and chips around. Have ordered multiple times and they are consistently fantastic. Order through Just Eat and delivery time is speedy and food is piping hot every time. Chips are fresh and crispy and portion size Is very generous. Fish is amazing, fresh, cripsy and cooked to order. Best curry sauce around! Battered sausage is not the best it's absolutely fine however everything else is so good it doesn't matter!

Freshly made our chicken burgers, fried haddock and chips! The haddock one is really good. And I would say the portion is huge. A very good deal.

We have been using Equinox for a few years and I can honestly say it's the best in Town. Generous size portions, fish cooked to perfection in non soggy batter. Chips are perfect, no grease to be seen. Staff are friendly and efficient as are the delivery drivers and if it slightly goes over the time you asked for you get a text to apologise for the delay which is very rare. Well done Equinox, just perfect!

Ordered fish and chips through one of the apps. First time from Equinox. Initially I was very pleased because the courier was so friendly and the food was piping hot. Fish was lovely but I soon noticed that although the chips were piping hot they did not seem fresh like they had been sitting there for a while? Therefore we didn't eat all of the chips. A little disappointing.

This is essentially the best Fish and Chip Shop in the whole of the UK, fresh, crispy and absolutely mint, plus team are really spot on, just don't go anywhere else, superb !

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips. Great quality batter, great quality food, all really tasty. It isn't cheap but I don't care, it's worth it. I do always wonder why they don't always have large fish when I go but I always enjoy it. Definitely worth a visit, don't not go because the parade of shops doesn't look great, it's worth the visit.

Ok. So was really pleasantly surprised by this place. Just being blunt, my daughter has special needs and can't eat alot of foods we all take for granted and I didn't fancy giving her, her boring puree food last night. So went here. Was going to get a cod bites portion and some chips. When mentioned it was for our daughter they suggested the kids menu which had the same thing we wanted but cheaper and as a whole meal. There was 5 cod strips and a portion of chips and a carton of drink. The cod was battered and cooked fresh on the spot and was cooked perfectly. The chips were also done fresh and were nice. My daughter ate as much as she could and she was very happy. Next time we will order again as a whole family.

Your better off ordering directly to them and picking it up directly cheaper than Just eat

Equinox fish bar ( hackbridge ) is the best in shell I say the whole of London as I have tried many fish shops in by the seaside and this fish shop is just Devine in quality and quantity there cod is mouth watering and there chips is just so crispy and crunchy I know that they cut and blanch the chips to order every single time I have been there customer for over many years my family love it it’s just incredible and tasty at the same time a fab treat for a Friday or any day of the week they are still serving us even in this hard covid 19 times so I would like to say thank you to all the staff and team who are providing us fresh food day in day out 5 stars all around ****** 😊

Love this fish & chip shop- local to me and always tasty fish and chips with generous portions (they also provide the all important lemon wedges!). The only reason I won’t give them 5* is because they are quite expensive! You could share a large portion easily though.

Lovely light batter, plenty of chips and crispy gherkins and pickled onions. Staff very friendly. We have previously used another local fish bar but found this one to be as good, if not better than our usual. We will back. Highly recommend.

After reading all the great reviews and being stuck in self isolation, I decided to order from here via justeat.com. The food came on time and the portions were huge. Unfortunately I had no choice but to order a minimum of £15 delivery which was annoying because I only wanted fish and chips. The food was piping hot when it arrived and there was lots leftover due to how generous the ‘large’ cod and chips was. The chips were great and the cod was good - though personally I’ve had tastier batter. I also ordered a veggie spring roll and phoned up the branch when I thought I had been given meat. He reassured me it looked like that but was in fact shredded bean sprouts. All in all, a great takeaway that serves lovely food. My only disappointment is the minimum charge of delivery which I find a tad too high.

We have never set foot in the place, we use it for delivery's. Cannot speak too highly about the food. We've been using it for a couple of years now and it never disappoints and the portions are huge. Fish and chips as it should be.

Friendly bunch of guys, freshly fried crispy fish with fresh lemon and yummy chips. Portion size was bigger than expected too. Everything fried is halal. Will come again!

Well the fish was good even though without salt. Good thick English chips. Shame we didn't get tissues. Eating and driving don't go together well specially without tissues.

Nice large crispy cod - chips nicely cooked and crispy but potatoes not fully peeled properly leaving a bit to be desired - good portion of mushy peas but could be a little hotter. Friendly accommodating staff - will deliver for a little extra.

I wanted a fish and chip supper but couldn't be bothered to go out so I ordered a delivery (online) from this Fish Bar. I received a prompt email confirming my order and giving me an approximate delivery time and shortly afterwards a text adjusting the timing - 10 minutes later than the original estimate! In the event my doorbell rang half an hour earlier than the ETA. Excellent service therefore. The food was well package and still hot and was delicious. The batter at one end of the fish was a little thick but it was very tasty and not at all greasy. It was the first time I'd ordered from this Fish Bar but I'll definitely use it again. The delivery man was very polite and friendly too.

I always have sausage and chips and they are always delicious. The portions of chips are very large, so my partner and I usually share one portion. Would recommend!

Used to have problems with this place!! Now one of the best fish & chip shops locally. We usually phone to order our Haddock as its always cooked to order. Sometimes the batter is a bit thick but always tasty. Good sized portions, friendly polite staff.

Always use this chippie now! The portions are huge and well cooked. We have to remember not to order so much as we can't always eat it but the dog appreciates the leftover chips. The staff are very friendly.

Always may go to in the area of Hackbridge Wallington Mitcham. Fresh on Friday Saturdays not sure about weekdays as I haven't had any fish and chips throughout the week.
