What a gem beautifully cooked breakfast . Great service friendly staff. It was lovely to find a traditional cafe. Nothing was too much effort . Couldn’t take a photo of the food as we had finished it all. Bacon was delicious. A complicated order and all came perfectly delivered. Very good value for money.

Good old fashioned service, straightforward honest food, sensible prices, love it.

My husband and I were visiting the area on Sunday, Googled where to have a English breakfast and this gem came up! We arrived at 11am, the cafe was busy. When we saw the Sunday lunches coming out, we had to try one. We both had the lamb and all the trimmings. It was all fresh ingredients and the best Sunday roast we had in a long time! We cannot wait to return when we visit Boscombe again.

I had an incredible experience at the English Rose Cafe! The English breakfast was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The staff were exceptionally kind and bright, adding a wonderful touch to the overall atmosphere. I also tried the vegetarian breakfast, and it was a fantastic substitute, offering a delicious and satisfying meal for vegetarians. The combination of great food, friendly staff, and a cheerful atmosphere makes this cafe a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Superb Roast Lamb lunch, beautifully cooked vegetables and a pudding to die for apple and fresh raspberry crumble with the smoothest of hot custard, the service was excellent and friendly. I will certainly return as soon as possible. Two courses and a cappuccino for £ 15. DELICIOUS 😋

From the outside it looks a bit run down and a strong breeze may knock it over. However as I was always taught never judge a book by it's cover. For this cafe had superb Service The food was of good quality. Including the sausage. Which I always think makes a big difference. So it was excellent value for money. Will definitely be going back.

Superb as always. Best roast lamb and roasties in Boscombe. Always highly recommended. Also GREAT breakfasts with proper sausages, healthy eggs and fried bread you can eat without having a heart attack. This jewel of a cafe is a real find!

Very nice place, you can be 100% sure that food will be 10/10. Biff, chicken, pork, lamb, kidney and bacon for all stomach sizes.

I have been before and enjoyed, thoroughly enjoyed their Full English Breakfast. The fried bread is amazing and everything is cooked beautifully. I've promised myself many times that I would try the roast dinner. Today, I did. The roast pork with all the (5 fresh) vegetables and super crispy roast potatoes, fluffy on the inside, was sooooo delicious. I had a portion of wonderfully cheesy (homemade, as is all if it) cauliflower cheese (Just £1 a portion. What a bargain and worth much more). This made it even better. Now I'm torn between roast dinners and their breakfasts. Thank you Pauline (the amazing chef), I'll be back!

Went here yesterday with my wife and daughter and it was a lovely cafe friendly staff and breakfast was top class i would highly recommend this place and very cheaply priced as well would definitely be going there again

Amazing food as usual, I’ve been coming to this cafe for years, I had the mega breakfast, it was amazing, food was piping hot as always and I had a cup of tea and that was lovely and hot, I definitely would recommend and the prices are so reasonable, such a friendly cafe and lovely and warm inside.

Great little cafe serving an amazing breakfast. There was a young girl running as waitress and handled everyone wonderfully and efficiently. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Highly recommend for brekkie. A*

Some of the cakes were too sweet, the cook is a little heavy-handed with sugar. The price of the full afternoon tea is a bit steep, and it's actually more advantageous to order each item separately. You'd expect a discount when taking a full menu, not the opposite.

This was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised at how good our breakfast was. The service was excellent and the food was first class. Very competitive prices and our waitress was polite and friendly. We'll worth a visit.

I went with a friend and we both had an excellent, value for money, delicious meal. It's a really great place. I hope it stays like this, as good things often don't last.

We all had different meals, which included roast lamb, steak pie & a breakfast, all of which were lovely. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone if you want a great meal. Thank you we will be back.

Been using this cafe for years, even when it was opposite the crescent,always been exceptional food, at least twice a week I'm here breakfast dinner or just a decent coffee, can't praise this place enough

We visited the English Rose yesterday for Sunday lunch, it was great value for money. There were 6 of use that had lunch, you can choose from a great selection of meats in 3 sizes, small, medium and large. I had a large lamb, there was lots of roasted potatoes, 5 different vegetables and a great portion of lamb. I added yorkshire puddings to my lunch for an extra charge but well worth the price. After the lunch I had apple and raspberry crumble with ice cream which was delicious, you could have custard if you want it. Was great value, friendly service and food was excellent. Well worth a visit.

The English Rose captures the essence of a traditional English cafe (in this instance definitely pronounced 'kaf') - the decor, atmosphere, clientele, menu and service down to every detail. It feels like stepping into another world if you are not from England or frequent modern cafes inspired by TV chefs serving smashed avocado and crumbled feta on artisan seeded sourdough. Situated on a very busy road in the heart of Boscombe, I've travelled past it countless times over the past few years wondering what it's like inside. Today I gave it a chance and wasn't disappointed trying a ham and cheese omelette served with chips and peas - a bargain at £6.50! Fluffy, gooey and delicious with crispy, hot chips. Best of all is the people watching - I could of easily stayed for hours. Make sure you visit.

I was given a recommendation to this place by a friend. I can say that it exceeded his praises. Although I arrived at a busy time of day the lovely lady serving greeted me with a smile and took my order . The roast beef arrived in short order and I can honestly say it was the best tssting roasts I have had in Bournemouth. The portions were fair for the price and will return and I will bring others.

Went here for breakfast and it was fantastic! I was absolutely ravenous, went for the 'mega breakfast' and was not disappointed. Very nice service from the friendly staff and owner. I will definitely go back next time I visit Bournemouth. Highly recommended!

Dont let the outside put you off this place, they do an Amazing breakfast, best egg I've had done to perfection, really friendly staff, prices really good, I've not tried the roasts or other meals but they looked amazing so will be coming back to give then ago.

Eat here if you fancy eating off old greasy plates and using dirty cutlery. Found a small piece of bacon underneath a pile of baked beans in my “veggie breakfast.” Disgusting. Very well hidden. This experience eating here has genuinely put me off eating out. Thankyou for putting meat in my vegetarian meal.

The english rose is my favourite cafe in Boscombe. The food is always excellent and very tasty, the staff are lovely who are always very welcoming and friendly. Breakfasts and roasts are amazing! So if you want to support a family run, local business and your looking for somewhere that is serving great quality food at fair prices then pop along to the English Rose opposite the con club and boscombe bus station. This place is amazing The food is awesome and you won't find more reasonable price. The staff is impeccable and fantastic. You can get breakfast, roast, salad, sandwiches, homelettes. I loved this little cafe. It is a good old fashioned English cafe and offers the kind of roadside fare you would expect from that type of establishment. However, the quality and quantity of the food is great and is improved equally by the friendliest of service. What also gives credit to the cafe is the fact that it is used by the local residents..... I don't think you can get a better credit than that!

The bacon, egg & hash brown sandwich is the best sandwich iv ever eaten in my life. Highly recommended visiting just to get one and experience it

I use this cafe at least twice per week, it's unbelievable value and always fantastic food, Sundays I have been known to have to queue that speaks volumes, it's certainly the best cafe in Boscombe and Bournemouth highly recommended

As soon as I entered I could smell the smoke of whatever radioactive food they cook, and the smoke was actually visible too. When I asked about it I was told that basically “this has been their way past 10 years”. I don’t know what kind of establishment this is and how people can settle for this level of service/experience.

I called ahead a few days before to ask about parking etc. The lady helped and then suggested i book a table which i did because she said they get busy. I turned up at 12pm thinking they would forget but no the table was reserved ! The food was great ( full english ) and the service was 10/10. Really friendly busy place.Next time im down that way ill be coming back for sure. Highly reccomended. 10/10 all the way through.

After a beautiful morning in the park, my friend and I stumbled upon The English Rose Cafe. The smell of the fresh scones immediately caught our attention. We ordered the vegetarian English breakfast, pot of Early Gray Tea, and a warm scone. Best breakfast we’ve had in a while!! Decorated with floral pillows and delicate tea plates, the atmosphere is uniquely comforting. We can’t wait to come back to this lovely spot!0
