We had a great breakfast that hit just the spot. Good choice on the menu, nice and cosy inside and staff were really friendly. Will definitely come back on our next trip

We called in for a breakfast after reading very positive reviews and was not dissapointed we were warmly welcomed by the owner and promptly given the menu we both chose a breakfast each and 2 flat white coffee, we didn't wait too long before getting our food it was presented very well and tasted great the only thing that was not totally satisfactory was the coffee I found it too milky and quite weak but overall we were pleased.

I visited this cafe with 7 other friends.we were looking for a hearty but quick breakfast before our trains back to London. Straight away the service was so accommodating and friendly, as a group we are not the easiest to cater for as many of us like to adapt the menu to our preferences! But every enquiry was met with a smile and positive attitude by Lyn (I believe this is the owner’s name, apologies if not!)The price was extremely reasonable and once we were ready Lyn was very kind in ordering us two cabs to the station.Would recommend visiting Cafe Erte to all!

Tuve una fiesta de Navidad aquí. Servicio absolutamente increíble, gente amable dirigiendo el espectáculo. La comida es para morirse. Increíble cena asada, el plato de sopa estaba delicioso y el budín? ! Bien. El pastel de chocolate y naranja es para morirse. ¡No puedo esperar para volver y comer el pastel! Oh my god where do I start from. Staff was amazing, place reminded me for the old times where you visit your grandma and you feel cosy and loved. Food was amazing. Massive portions for the money. Visited Bournemouth for a christmas do and if we ever go back we will definitely visit again. Thank you so much.

Friends/work colleagues xmas meal. About 24 of us had a lovely meal enjoyed by everyone,we had three courses all lovely homemade food no one went home hungry. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Well worth going highly recommended it.

Been here more than once and what a fantastic place for lunch. Anita the chef and Linda run a lovely welcoming relaxing cafe and the food is just superb!! Everything is freshly cooked, tasty, delicious and hot. Today another Sunday roast which just has to be the best in Bournemouth. If you are looking for a great place for breakfast or lunch there is no need to look any further. 5 stars

Staying in Bournemouth for the weekend we found this Café by accident, after a night out we were looking for breakfast locally, the 1920’s Art Deco feel is inviting and staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is freshly cooked, tasty and great value for money. We definitely recommend and will certainly return again.

I only work around the corner and have been past a few times but one day I just fancied something hot without walking too far. The medium breakfast definitely hit the spot that day. I forgive the poached eggs as I can understand the faff and time it takes. Nice quality sausages and bacon, so this was good value for sure. A cheeky all day breakfast for lunch :-)

I don't normally leave reviews but this is just a lovely establishment with proper home cooked food and great service. Couldn't fault it. Also reasonable prices. Thank you, we'll be back soon.

We discovered this place when we were in Bournemouth last week ...we went for breakfast there twice on our last two days...food was amazing great value for money and the staff were very warm and welcoming. ..even if our 1 and half year was running around the place they made us feel very welcome they even took the time out to have a conversation with us ...I wish we found it sooner, we loved the food and so did the kids x

Helen and Anita work so hard to make this place a success. Went for Sunday breakfast with a large group of friends and they cooked incredibly well with the changes and dietary requirements of everyone. Vegan, vegetarian no problem even 3 choices of sausages for vegetarians. If you are in town give it a go!

8 of us went for late breakfast. Staff very helpful and attentive. Good menu choice . Very nice Coffee. Had the Medium English Breakfast and was able to change some of the items with no problems. Very tasty bacon, scrambled eggs perfect.. An enjoyable 1st visit. Will definitely return.

We were given a recommendation for this cafe as the best place for English breakfast in town. The food was by far the best English breakfast of all time. Large portions, tasty food, high value prices and very friendly service and a relaxing and artsy art deco ambiance with many other happy customers. Ten out of ten stars!

Looking for somewhere near the Premier Inn to have breakfast, we found this great little cafe just round the corner! Run by two lovely ladies, we enjoyed a great breakfast before we set off. Next time we're in Bournemouth, we'll be sure to call in.

Staff very welcoming and friendly. Good variety of cold/hot drinks. Roast pork dinner was amazing. It came with all the trimmings. Very accommodating for dietary requirements. Good value money. Would highly Recommend to go there.

Beautifully decorated independent art deco cafe. Went in today for a very reasonably priced roast with huge amounts of lovely fresh veg. This place is owner run and they're very warm and friendly. We got the last table but they said you can book, it's not a huge place so it might be a good idea.

Very pleasant sunday lunch experience. Fairly price, friendly staff, tasty food 👍 I'm quite an awkward eater and they were very accommodating of my needs. Check them out on Instagram for some of their dishes.

After reading the reviews on trip advisor, we decided to have breakfast here, the cafe decoration was amazing , a retro look which gave you the feel of being in your living room at that time, very attentive staff and lovely salmon.

Having never ventured to this Cafe Bar before I wasn’t sure what to expect but suffice to say, what a find.

25 friends got together at Cafe Erte for a 3 course Xmas meal. The food was beautiful all fresh nothing frozen and so much to eat. turkey,potatoes,parsnips,pigs in blanket and Yorkshire pud serverd on the hot plates then came out all the veg carrots, swede,Brussels,cabbage,leeks in a sauce which were lovely and more roast spuds followed by chocolate and orange cake that's definitely on my wish list next time I go. The staff were all very lovely and friendly lovely atmosphere and decor. I hear the breakfasts are worth having as well

I can thoroughly recommend this charming cafe located just outside Bournemouth centre. The style is Art Deco, the staff welcoming and friendly, and the food is freshly cooked to a high standard. The breakfasts are excellent value, as is Sunday lunch. Well worth tracking down.

Wow what a breakfast. My husband ( who has a very healthy appetite) asked for the large Cafe Erte breakfast and as you can see what a whopper and really tasty, you could tell that everything had been cooked freshly and fab buttery mushrooms. I had the small version with best black pudding I had tasted in a long time. Thank you and we will be back.

Menu was varied and had lots of traditional favourites .... I had the medium all day breakfast... well cooked with good quality ingredients. I’ll certainly be returning soon !

Took my daughters here whilst on holiday in Bournemouth. The thought and care taken to produce an historically accurate venue is worth seeing, let alone the generous breakfasts! Definitely should be on your list if visiting and I’ll be there again when next in Bournemouth. We need more independent cafe/restaurants like this and they need patronising by visitors not just locals.

I work round the corner from Cafe Erte, so pop in regularly. The food is excellent, the 3 cheese and ham ploughman's is to die for (be hungry as it's very big!). I'v tried some of the breakfasts and they are lovely too.

What a find, we've walked past it a 1000 times, we went in for breakfast, the staff are very friendly and the food was top notch, we had poached eggs and tgey were prefect, it was all cooked to order and it arrived very quickly; the cafe has a real nice feel, it's a bit of a hidden gem and we will definitely return. It's only a short walk away and it looks like we could have found our new local. Really nice happy staff

Went for Sunday Lunch - it truly was the best Sunday Lunch I have had for a long time. The plates were hot, the Yorkshire pudding was homemade and was hot unlike some restaurants I’ve been to - they are normally burnt and barely warm. The beef was tender and served with leeks in white sauce, fresh carrots, white cabbage and because we cannot eat broccoli she cooked us peas. Gravy in a gravy boat so you can have as much or as little as you like. Dessert rhubarb pie with custard. Absolutely delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough. First class. Already booked to go again in 2 weeks.

Came here by chance because the pizzeria opposite wasn’t open at lunchtime. We were very hungry and thankful that there was somewhere else to eat. The food was nice and it was lovely to sit outside in the sun.

Just had lovely roast dinner in Cafe Erté. The meat was beautifully tender and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The cafe is run by two very friendly ladies who go out of their way to make sure you have an excellent meal.

Recently had a family birthday celebration at Cafe Erte and could not be more happy with our experience. The food was delicious and catered well for the vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters as well as the young children in our party. The staff are very welcoming, friendly & accommodating, Nothing was too much trouble and we had a lovely dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. The Art Deco decor is a bonus! This is a little gem which deserves to do well & I would recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food away from the bigger more well known chains. I look forward to a return visit when I'm next in Bournemouth.

I visited Cafe Erte last week for a family birthday dinner. It was my first visit and I will definitely be back. The staff team were very friendly and accommodating making sure the vegetarians and children in our group were catered for just as well as the meat eaters. Nothing was too much trouble and staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was as enjoyable as it was. Won’t hesitate to recommend to anyone I know visiting the area.

Friendly staff and superb decor and atmosphere

Started coming to Café Erte at Christmas. Wow what a little Gem of a place. Friendly Owner and great well known dishes from yummy breakfast to tasty lunch time sandwiches or afternoon tea and cake,, traditional old time favourites in the evening plus some scrumptious Tapas too. Such reasonable prices and always met with a friendly welcome.

The thing I remember the most about this place is the friendliness of the staff. Each one was smiling and saying hello quite often. There is a wide choice of food throught the day and night. We just had some snacks and really enjoyed them. This is the first time I have had a bolognaise sauce on a jacket potato, and it was awesome. Everything is reasonably priced, so I'm looking forward to going back especially to try a breakfast.

I have often driven passed and looked in this quaint little bistro , decor is very Art Deco , two lovely ladies that own that own it I believe , I’m a a manger of a very well known hotel and have worked with many chefs and this cafes food is out of this world , everything is cooked on site fresh , I’m often very wary of ordering anything like chilli as it’s quite a tricky dish to get right , but my goodness , it was delicious, my husband had a panini with a salad and homemade coleslaw , omg ! I will definitely be going back , and prices are very reasonable ! I would be very proud if I was the owner , the service and food , everything about it was perfect ! Ladies everyone I know has been told , well done !

We had a excellent meal here on a Saturday evening a couple of weeks ago. There were four of us, we each had different dishes and were all very pleased with the quality freshness and great value. It was the first time I had been to Cafe Erte, it had a bistro feel about it, and the service was friendly and attentive. We had a couple of bottles of the house red which was fine and good value at £12.95 each. We plan to return for one of their breakfasts soon.

Have visited here twice now, once for Sunday lunch in December and once for breakfast last weekend. The Art Deco ambiance made the place feel very welcoming, as did the staff. The food exceeded our expectations, having first gone in for an impromptu roast after a pint or two at the excellent All Hail Ale micro-pub just across the road. On our next visit the Erté full English breakfast (sampled sober last Saturday morning), was enormous, great value, with well cooked, quality ingredients, and lovingly presented. I have not tried any of their specials or weekend evening tapas dishes yet but look forward to doing that soon. Keep up the great work Cafe Erté!

My other half and I booked a table for 4 on Saturday so that we could catch up with our friends and we had a really excellent dinner and really good wine.
