Engineer in Camden

Stopped by for a drink but decided to have a bite to eat. Food was delish, calamari perfectly cooked. Staff were attentive and personable. Couldn’t ask for more.

Unfriendly service and bad food. There were six of us on an evening beginning of the week. They were unfriendly staff who don’t like their jobs and we ordered 6 different dishes which which were all below standard.

Great pub, food,service atmosphere excellent. Only downside was the disabled toilet - wet floor, dirty and the door was stiff and impossible to close. This definitely needs improvement, especially the door ! Shame as it's such a nice venue.

Me and my wife went for our anniversary dinner and it was great. We had put a note on the booking and the team treated us to a little celebration drink

Been in here before , was eating later , so had a snack , will love to return for a Sunday Lunch. Nice place choice of eating outside or inside .

We have lived in Primrose Hill for over 30 years and often had a pint of two in the Engineers, followed by a few share plates. Tonight was our wedding anniversary so we thought we'd eat there. It is the first time in my lifetime that I had the service charge removed, service complete pants! We were told they were short staffed but there was plenty of staff floating around doing nothing. No heaters working in the garden, we tried 4, no staff helped. We had to ask for the table to be cleaned, clean serviettes, then for red sauce/mayonnaise (which didn't arrive) We had to call staff constantly for our requests, no acceptable. Do yourselves a favour and go to The Albert Princess of Wales Landsdown.... Overall the food was 7/10 of which is top end prices. Engineers may be spend more on staff training than uniforms! Very unsatisfied customers!

Fun, lively spot with great food! The goats cheese salad was amazing as was the sticky toffee pudding. Bella was our server and she was great.

Great food and friendly service, we came as part of a larger group and had lunch as a team of 12 the food was fresh and tasty, and the Lamb in particular was very good! Service was attentive, but not overbearing would definitely recommend for a quick drink or bite to eat.

Really enjoyed our visit here, the food was amazing and the service was equally good! Would highly recommend to anyone if you’re ever in the area!

A stunning pub with a lovely outdoor area and friendly staff but unfortunately the most disappointing shredded duck salad I’ve been served …unfortunately it wasn’t shredded but chopped up fat + raw looking skin …it literally looked like scrap ends-waiting to show it to a staff member whilst feeling queezey we paid on the bar and left , a real disappointment following past visits and the high praise here on twitter

Came for my girlfriend’s birthday and the food really stood out! Table service was really on point and attentive but not over bearing!

I came here with my mum and our dog and had such a lovely lunch. The staff are very friendly and accommodating- they moved our booking outside as the sun was shining and doted on our dog which we loved! We enjoyed a delicious lunch of several small plates- the miso chicken skewers are a must have!! Will be going back soon

Brunel Bar | Trivia Night | 11 April 2024 My partner and I hosted a Charity Trivia Fundraiser for around 40 people at The Engineer in the Brunel Bar last night and it was a great success. I reached out to numerous pubs in the Primrose Hill and The Engineer was the most helpful. The team at The Engineer set up the room perfectly and were very helpful throughout the entire event. Ruby was fantastic! We can't thank The Engineer team enough for having us! Thank you.

Visited with a group of about 12, and we all really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service! The beer and wine list was extensive and the chap behind the bar was happy to offer a couple of tasters before we made our choices. Whilst the weather wasn’t up to much on this occasion, I look forward to returning to try out their beer garden later in the year.

We had a meal at The Engineer a few months ago but have only just had the chance to write a review . Went with family and two small Grandchildren . We were given a lovely quite table indoors. The meal was fab and really enjoyed by all..I had the Cod which was cooked to perfection . We will definitely return next time we come to London . The staff were lovely and looked after us well.

We our Christmas party here on the 14/12/2023 and I honestly say it was the worst experience and Christmas party I ever attended, we booked the Brunel room upstairs which was bear, cold and had zero Christmas feel about it no decorations not even a Christmas cracker or Christmas song being played the food was poor and was mainly salad with veg stick and dips, again had zero festive feel about it we paid paid £40 a head for circa 60 people and found this most disappointing.

Ya es la segunda vez que visitamos este sitio por recomendación de mi hija, que lleva viviendo muchos años en Londres. Siempre esta igual. Muy bueno. Muy buena atención, comida de Pub riquísima, buenos vinos, buen ambiente. Recomendable todo y el pan relleno de queso, espectacular. También los pescados. Siguiente visita a Londres, siguiente vista a este lugar.

Excited to visit after reading earlier reviews. However despite a promising start-warm welcome at the bar and order taken promptly the evening went downhill. ‘Gourmet’ burger and chips was like fast food put on a plate-no sides and not well presented. Fish and chips salty. We were not offered deserts or drinks. To be fair the bartender could not have handled it better when we told him but by then our birthday celebration was done there. I can see similar feedback in September 2023 with a response from the Engineer-things are not resolved. You only get one chance at a first impression and this experience fell short for us. Your staff need some training and to stop gossiping at the food counter ignoring their patrons.

Great spot for drinks with friends! Weather was absolutely horrendous; thunder, lightening, you name it but sat outside in the beer garden under the canopy at the back, with the heaters and stayed perfectly dry and cosy. Great to know about with the winter months approaching. Lovely staff too. Will be back!

I love that place, for the food, cooked well, excellent ingredients, the staff and the cozy location! next time I would like to try their Sunday roast

We keep going back as the atmosphere food and service is great. Tonight 25 September I had fish and chips - boring? NO - quite extraordinarily good. Better than the best I have had from seaside to town. My partner had the wild boar sausages - consistently excellent. Thank you. We will be back.

Great gastro-pub for drinks and lunch on wkends before or after canal/and/or/park walks ! Good mix between pub classics and restaurant food

Magical. Unlike Starvin' Marvin below Stumbled upon this gem bordering the Grand Union Canal. Attention to detail from the moment we set foot inside with a warm welcome from the bar staff and then the host! Unusual for a London pub. They even ensured we had a table in the garden upon asking (we waited for a few mins at the bar and were told we would be priority for a table should one come up). Before we had even sat down our drinks were delivered to the table. Classy. The food was delicious; full of flavours and clearly made by skilled chefs. The garden was warmly lit, dare I say it romantic, my date was suitably impressed! We will be back. As for Marvin below, don't listen to a miserable grouch who bangs on about the good old days. The time for living is now and the Enginer is vivacious and full of fun times ready to be had.

Never has a pub been so destroyed as this one. Ever since the bully boy brewery took it back. Rubbish food terrible atmosphere arrogant staff living completely off reputation of its predecessors.

Great pub with great food and great drinks. We came to the pub on Saturday and we were shown to a nice table, large enough for the six of us. Had some great beers which was recommended to us by Tom, I think he was an assistant manager but I feel that he would be on track to become a great manager in the next 2-3 years. We stayed longer than expected so had to have some food. Tom, the assistant manager, again served us and recommended a shredded duck salad, which I'm sure would be fine for some southern fairies but we were from 'up north' so we had steaks instead, again some training to become a manager needed there but I'm sure he'll get the hang of it soon. Over all a great visit and we will return again when we are next in London. Tom, assistant manager - keep doing what you are doing and learn from the other managers around you and I'm sure you'll be a general manager soon.

Fantastic meal and fantastic service. My wild boar sausage was immaculately presented and looked prominent on the table. I couldn’t stop looking at my wife’s glazed celeriac. Delightful. Hyman Jnr was well serviced by the attentive staff. Five stars and will definitely return!

Such a wonderful experience! Went for a family lunch, the service was impeccable even if they were visibly very busy! The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were good too! I will be back for sure, the outside area is so nice. I want to particularly mention that the team that served us was super friendly and very helpful especially with my many allergies, they took it very seriously I felt at home! Thank you guys x

We had a fantastic experience in the Engineer when visiting friends and family in August. Food was really good, the Velvet Devil wine was superb and the Apple and Gooseberry crumble was the only thing that made my little man stand to attention all holiday! My wife loved it! He was so quiet when eating it! We definitely plan to return on our next visit to the capital. We had great weather and the staff kept the drinks flowing while we were lapping up the sunshine in the beautiful beer garden. Top marks all round!

I didn't want to go back home,two nights was definitely not enough...it's a place to clear ur mind and listen to beach sound and nature....

I felt I had to write a review further to a fabulous work event held at The Engineer yesterday afternoon - buffet and drinks in their beautiful garden - for a group of 45 people. The whole event was superbly overseen by Tom, the manager, providing a high level of personal attention, great communication and flexibility from start to finish. He happily made a number of changes to the buffet menu to accommodate the varied needs of our guests. Plenty of friendly staff were on hand on the day, serving the buffet bang on time, and the drinks swiftly. And the quality of the buffet itself was fantastic. The venue is a gem and I can't thank you enough for making the afternoon such a success. I'm sure you'll be seeing us again soon! :)

The food took ages to come out we were waiting almost an hour for mains! We had to call the staff to clear our tables when they should’ve been doing this anyway. When I finally got my food which was roast pork belly, the Yorkshire pudding was burnt and the pork chewy. It wasn’t a great meal to be honest. Also the waiter completely forgot to write down my dads starter so when me and my aunts starter came out we had to wait ages for his only to turn out his wasn’t even ordered. Won’t be returning again unfortunately.

. As locals, we used to visit this pub frequently. It used to be known for it's excellent food, Not now!First of all, the staff were lovely. Couldnt have been more solicitous. However - the fish and chips failed in every way. The portion of fish was skimpy and tasteless, the very dry peas were just frozen peas, mashed with a fork, and a bit of mint added. The' triple cooked chips we sent back. Another portion came, a bit browner but just as flaccid as the first serve. Nothing was seasoned.There is an outside space which looks pleasant, but Mitchell and Butler who I believe are the chain that own this pub -should be made aware of the lack of care in the kitchen as far as we're concerned.

I went to lunch with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful time! the atmosphere is lovely, clean, the food is wonderful! Chef Marcelo is super attentive and went to our table to find out if everything was as we expected! we were amazed!

We made a booking online for 6pm on a Sunday without any issue. We arrived and was told that they'd sold out of roast dinners. A little disappointed, but but surprised as it was quite late. The server gave us the lunch menu and then also the dinner menu so we had lots to choose from. We were asked what we were drinking after shortly sitting down. We asked for a bottle of wine and our server took the order. 10-15 minutes later we hadn't been given any drinks and another server asked if they could assist. We told them we'd already ordered and described the server. Minutes later we were told that there wasn't a record of our order and would we like to order again. By this point we both saw red. We were unhappy that we had been forgotten about. We knew there were another 6-7 pubs in the area we could go to. As we meet e or original server came up to us and apologised for the oversight but by then we were adamant we were leaving. However, despite this poor service, this is a lovely pub where we've spent many a night in the garden enjoy the atmosphere and the usually top notch service. Having worked in hospitality all my life, I know that things can go wrong. The staff were very apologetic and very polite and sincere. O can't fault them for that. I will continue to return but will be looking for a new venue for our friends get together next month as I don't want a repeat of what happened tonight. But the good certainly outweighs the bad .considering other visits which is why I'll still score the Engineer 5/5

My family and I had such a great time at The Engineer, the food is fresh and tasty, the staffs are very kind. Plus the place is child friendly as well.

What an amazing Sunday!We had the roast which was fabulous and an amazing wine to go along with it.I saw as well that the team was talking with customer about track and trace too which I found very efficient.I will come back again

Great pub. Really nice interior, staff were friendly even though it was really busy. Food was amazing, yes its a bit more expensive than a weatherspoons, but you really can taste it. Really can. Had the steak, I love my steak and the chief seems to know their stuff. Cooked just right. Starters were good and all the sides. Everyone like the food. Will be going again. Oh and you can go to Primrose Hill for your food coma after.

While I was walking in primerose hill we walked past this pub next the canal and the smell iof Sunday roast was so good that we stopped and ask for a couple of seats.After registering we went in.Such a nice traditionall pub and the staff was so friendly.The roasts were good and great atmosphere

Family meal that utterly disappointed. The service was dreadful, even rude, and the food bland, poorly cooked. Front of house and chef need changing. This used to be such a great pub. What a shame.

The Engineer in Primrose Hill used to be a favourite some years ago. So we returned as a family for a father’s day, but from start to finish our experience was dreadful. The host, also the manager was rude and quite angry at me when I asked if another more child friendly table might be available to accommodate a pram/high chair, & my baby bump. something I requested when booking weeks earlier. The main courses were wrong and came out an hour after we arrived, (an impossible delay with two young kids to keep seated). No apology for the delay or error was offered. The food wasn’t great. Bland meat & very fishy kids fish. Then - as a finale, we were given the wrong bill which we paid only to be chased outside like bill skippers to be escorted back in to settle it. The manager agreed to remove the wrong mains from the bill but this was little consolation. Terrible customer service, bland food, an awful all round experience. I noticed he was busy entertaining his friends as we left. I’d never recommend or re-visit The Engineer again. Anywhere else would have be better.

We went for a family Fathers Day meal and we were all very disappointed. The service was very slow, the food was average to poor and not worth the price and even the coffee was mediocre to poor. The decor is tired too. I have been to this pub so many times over the years, but won't be going back!

We booked a table for a friend's birthday after reading many good reviews but we were quite disappointed with our overall experience. The service was slow, our starters took 30mins to arrive and another 40mins for mains. All four of us ordered their Sunday roasts, pork belly and beef. They came cold, roast potatoes were burnt and hard, pork belly was dry. Would not recommend ordering. They also told us there was no lamb available but the table behind us who arrived later managed to order lamb, where did it suddenly come from? Also don't order mojito, it had no taste of anything and the hot chocolate was more like hot milk. Won't be recommending this pub to friend's.

We came here before lockdown. Staff was rude and disinterested. Kept ignoring us and chatting to their mates. Food was mediocre. We really wanted to love the place as it is so local to us and we are trying to support local businesses. Plenty of other decent pubs nearby.

Excellent stay! Very clean, breathtaking view, welcoming owner. We will stay there again. It would be amazing if the splash pool could be heated for a winter stay as well. We went there with kids, but also an excellent place for a romantic getaway or four two couples. Very close to George and wilderness and an interesting road in and out. Lovely trails with amazing views.

La ubicación de esta propiedad es absolutamente fabulosa, con solo los sonidos de la naturaleza y el paisaje. La casa perfectamente diseñada y amueblada con estilo. El camino a la propiedad fue muy interesante, a través de hermosos bosques. El lugar es perfectamente seguro y protegido.Me hubiera encantado quedarme más tiempo! ! !

Acabo de tener una comida maravillosa en el ingeniero. ¡Fue tan agradable estar fuera de nuevo y tener comida deliciosa preparada para mí! Parecía que tenían el equilibrio perfecto entre tomar las medidas adecuadas de Covid, pero permitiéndonos sentirnos cómodos y sin restricciones. Si desea una comida relajada y deliciosa en un hermoso jardín amurallado, le recomiendo visitar este lugar mientras el clima aún es tan agradable.

En primer lugar, el personal fue amable y atento.La comida estaba bien. Tarifa de pub ligeramente superior a la media. Los puerros que venían con el bacalao tenían arena a través de ellos, lo cual no era genial.Debo decir que no sentí que se hubiera hecho mucho en términos de controles Covid, lo mínimo en el mejor de los casos. Un pub muy querido y establecido desde hace mucho tiempo, en una ubicación privilegiada en Primrose Hill, cerca de Camden Town y el canal. Everything was 1st class. The host is very friendly. The views are awesome! The house is very neat, spacious and yet simple in design.

It was half empty at lunch time, on a Sunday.All other pubs in the area were full so we'd thought we would give this place a chance.Initial thoughts. Pretentious, too cool to acknowledge us when we walked in. Had to get someones attention to be seated for food.Although it claims to be, it is not very dog friendly. We were seated at a sticky, grubby table with our tiny dog. Before we could get him to settle and sleep on our coat which we laid on top of the bench, a rather rude man came marching over and shouted at us in a jobsworth manner to keep the dog on the floor for hygiene reasons!Don't make me laugh! This is a grubby little pub, not the classy establishment it desperately wants to be! This would be more believable if the table was clean to begin with. Clearly this man is not cut out for the service industry.There are plenty of other establishments in the area to spend my money. So we got up and left. The York and Albany welcomed us warmly and had no issue with us having our little dog sit on one of their plush armchairs next to us while we dined.

I couldn't get comfy on either the (over) high leather benches or the hard traditional wooden dining chairs. However, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the Aspalls was the best I have tasted anywhere. It was just a quick pit stop for a drink on the way to a reserved table nearby but the food and bar snacks being brought past our table seemed very nice and we would try them on another visit if we hadn't made alternative arrangements. Good 'proper' pub in a nice location.

Please could you bring back the Doom bar bitter. It is the most popular bitter in the U.K. and I am sure you will sell lots.

We had our last dinner in London with the whole family here and the menu offered are interesting selection of dishes. I ordered the barramundi with peas and chorizo sauce, it was delightful. Overall, the dishes were tasty and reasonably priced, highly recommended.

Acabo de almorzar el domingo aquí con un amigo (muy buena comida, precios razonables y un servicio encantador). El chef salió a saludarnos y comprobar que ya teníamos todo lo suficientemente rápido. He leído algunas críticas mixtas aquí, pero para mí fue perfecto y un domingo realmente frío comiendo buena comida en un hermoso lugar.

Otimo atendimento, funcionarios atenciosos sempre a disposicao para atender bem, otimas bebidas, cerveja bem gelada, comida excelente com um menu cheio de vatiedades. Gostei muito.

Having booked a table, I was trying to get some clarity about their policy regarding the different menus and pre-ordering. I was respectful, but when I pointed out that there seemed to be a lack of willingness to understand my queery, the colleague got defensive, even after I had cancelled the booking, having got nowhere. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect the kind of customer service where they bow and scrape (on fact I don't like it), but this conversation was leaving a distinct feeling of being unwelcome. I even received an email to say my booking was declined as if to rub it in. This restaurant is popular, but this conversation leaves an impression of not caring about new customers.

Bellissima serata in un pub tipico londinese, starter e Sunday roast buonissimi, il personale è un team di ragazzi giovani molto professionali cortesi e disponili, che sono riusciti a rendere questa esperienza davvero speciale, consiglio vivamente di farci un salto !

We came here for a pre-lunch drink on a Sunday and regretted not having booked to eat as the food looked amazing! The very charming barman took a lot of trouble to create the most delicious Bloody Mary, with wonderful touches, such as a sprig of rosemary. Have been coming to this lovely pub for years and it never disappoints.

Had a great Sunday roast on the 29th of December. We really enjoyed the food. The staff where very friendly and helpful. Lovely all round. We Will he back

Este pub ha ido cuesta abajo. Mi compañía tuvo tres almuerzos de Navidad aquí. Cada vez tuvimos que esperar más de 2 horas. Fuimos los primeros en el pub pero no tenían algunos de los artículos en el menú. Sin personal suficiente y, en general, han dejado caer sus estándares.

Appalling service. Started upon arrival where the bar staff couldn’t direct us to our table - because it wasn’t their job - that we needed to wait for one of the waiters. The food service was very poor. Drinks arrived after the food. The waitress rolled her eyes when we asked for a pudding menu, despite having waited sometime since the plates where cleared. Needless to say she didn’t bring them and instead walked off and ignored the request.

Lovely peaceful spot with sea views. Window from the kitchen opens wide to the balcony with a breakfast bar the other side. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely dinner on Friday ( 8th Nov ) The food & puddings was delicious! The staff are friendly. We had a wonderful time . We will be back! Highly recommend. 🤩

Came here a couple of years ago and it was excellent. Now the food has gone down in quality. It's no longer a gastropub, just a pub that does expensive food (more expensive than Brown's for example). The waiter was excellent though - very attentive and fast.

Visited Camden for the day as we were going to a concert and found this pub near the venue. It's a great pub with very friendly staff especially the barman Alex who was very helpful, it has a very nice beer garden and we will definitely be going back again.

Nos detuvimos en el pub de ingenieros después de un paseo por el canal y encontramos una verdadera joya escondida. Alex lo recibió de inmediato y no pudo hacer lo suficiente para asegurarse de que nuestra visita fuera buena. Tuve una cerveza y mi compañero tenía una cerveza de verdad. Ambos sabían absolutamente divinos y se notaba que las tuberías se limpiaban regularmente, una pinta bien crujiente. Pasamos una hora más o menos en el jardín, que es de bastante buen tamaño y sería una hermosa trampa para el sol en los meses de verano. Mientras nos relajábamos disfrutando del ambiente, Alex se tomó el tiempo para preguntarnos sobre nuestro día y lo que nos trajo a la zona. Es la hospitalidad excepcional como esta lo que realmente hace un lugar. ¡Volveremos! ¡Bien hecho el ingeniero!

Was in Primrose Hill for the view, a short walk down is The Engineer. We were a group 3, ordered 2 x roast lamb and 1 x rig eye steak. Food was presented nicely and tasted very well, enjoyed by all.

An example of how ‘destination pubs’ get lulled into complacency and become ‘bad food destination pubs’. The most awful Sunday roast we have had in a long time. Arrived cold with a spoonful of peas as the only green vegetables on the plate and a couple small sad looking ‘roast’ potatoes that were half cooked. All for nearly £20. Ordering extra roasties was a futile exercise as ended up with more sad looking half cooked roasties that no one wanted. Save your money. Don’t bother. At least not for a roast.

This pub is a London institution and a must-visit when in beautiful Primrose Hill. It's attractive inside (amazing wooden floor) and out (gorgeous garden with plenty of tables). Food is consistently delicious - watermelon and feta salad on a hot day hit the spot.

Nice open pub with a good selection of drinks and nice outdoor space in the back. Staff was extremely friendly, but the food was average and the price a little high.

We called in for a drink and a snack, 3 drinks and 3 bowls of chips ordered that came to just over £24 pounds and had to complain after waiting 50 minutes for our food, the people on the nearest 2 tables both admitting ordering way after us but got served long before us ..

Después de almorzar decentemente hace un par de semanas en el Engineer with friends, mi esposa y yo decidimos aprovechar el cupón del 25% que nos dieron anoche y reservamos una mesa unos días antes.

Mi esposo y yo solíamos venir todo el tiempo, y él visitaba con frecuencia los eventos de trabajo en el piso de arriba. Servicio siempre encantador y comida deliciosa.

Não tenho costume de fazer avaliações, exceto quando encontro locais diferenciados. Fui com minha esposa, e foi uma experiencia muito agradável. Pelo local imaginei que iria pagar caro, mas pelo contrario. Deu para perceber o cuidado no preparo dos pratos, tudo muito gostoso, e barato. Pessoal é muito simpático, faço questão de voltar.

Durante un día, yo y mi otra mitad decidimos parar en el pub. Había un ambiente agradable y algunas personas felices. Pedí el domingo asado que venía con un increíble pudin de Yorkshire, papas bien asadas y una carne tierna y bonita, mi compañero pidió una hamburguesa vegana con papas fritas crujientes. Para rematar la comida teníamos pasteles de manzana. . . . . mmmmm. . . . sabroso.

4 pm en un tranquilo sábado por la tarde. Una pareja a mi lado pide un tablero de queso "un mínimo de una hora de espera, señora"

When I lived in London I would dine at the engineer often. The staff were incredibly eclectic and attentive. Service was excellent and the two girls that owned it had a great eye for detail. the food was always great and in 5"years of going I never once had a bad meal. How things have changed. The food was dreadfully bland and looked like it was from a packet. The staff were pleasant but lacked the attentiveness of previous visits. I won't be returning.

Friendly service, nice atmosphere and good food. Worth a visit but book as it gets busy. A great venue for locals and visitors, nice buzz but not too busy.

Clearly a local favorite. Alex was a friendly host. We enjoyed the roast chicken and Aspall's on tap. Was the first time we (Californians) had Yorkshire pudding—delicious.

We came here for a Christmas lunch in a reserved room upstairs. I had fish and chips which was excellent. There’s also a reasonable choice of vegetarian food. It’s a nice friendly atmosphere and the staff were very busy but still made time to be friendly.

Local Camden Pub, very friendly service and great food do not miss the.Sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Good service,nice ambience & lovely food enjoyed by the whole party of people. If I had to criticise anything,it was a little bit too dark on the tables where we were eating but I would definitely go back. Nice relaxed and friendly place.

nice atmosphere, both inside and at the backyard. The food was just fine! I don't imagine that anybody would leave disappointed from this place!! And the smiling staff just adds to the experience.

This is quiet at lunchtimes in the week so you’ll get pretty good service in this quirky pub. The fish & chips were decent enough but the draft cider was out of stock. We were recommended an American canned craft cider which was frankly undrinkable and should be taken off sale. Unacceptable.

I went to meet friends for a Sunday roast, however the beef was rock hard like leather, the vegetables were like rock. Extremely bad so had to tell the waiter we don’t want to eat it. My friend said he was starving and felt forced to eat it. Never going there again

My wife and I visited Engineer with friends who suggested it. We thought they had eaten there before and we trusted there choice. I was very disappointed. It was a noisy old fashioned pub. If you lived 100 yds from it you would say ‘ can’t be bothered cooking let’s pop in for a quick meal’ I certainly wouldn’t travel to get there. The fish and chips were very fresh and tasty. And we all enjoyed our main courses. But a night out needs more than just good food. You need friendly staff nice surroundings etc. It felt ‘studenty’ if you know what I mean. Anyway in conclusion if you live close pop in, it’s not expensive.

Comimos en la terraza y no pudo ser mejor la experiencia. Ambiente super agradable, comida deliciosa y bastante rápidos en servir, aún estando a tope. La única pega es el precio, que se suben un poco a la parra, pero compensan con todo lo demás.
