Emmy's Pitta in Coventry

The menu looked pretty good but there was a lot of shady individuals sat outside and we didn't feel comfortable going in. Pretty sure it was an Albanian gang. Shame.

Fantastic fresh food and very reasonable

I've taken food as take-out and as delivery order while studying in the area and I have to say that the food is below average for someone that knows how exactly original greek food tastes like. The meat and other ingredients are nowhere near the quality that you find in a greek store and their delivery service is tragic, there's no tracking option and exceeds the delivery period that says on uber eats due to the fact that it's a person from the store that delivers and not a delivery person from the company probably because they don't want to pay an extra salary (Typical behaviour for a greek store, just like the ones on the islands during the seasonal summer period) 🤣 The icing on the cake however was the fact that last time I went I saw the guy touching everything with his bare hands (god knows what he had touched before), it might be a thing for brits not to wear gloves or use utensils in the kitchen but as a greek employer this is simply unacceptable taking into consideration how many pathogens are transmitted from HANDS alone. I was so disgusted that I threw most of the food away and never stepping foot in there.

Had chicken gyros. Was AMAZING. great price in pitta £6.50. it was packed with no where to sit on a Saturday afternoon so had it to go. Would 100% return if in the area again.

An hour delay. Phone up and was told we will get some extras, nothing like this happen. Food was fresh but a way off the real Greek cuisine. Mayo not yogurt used in souse. It's not tsatsiki. No we're near. Just random kebab with more veggies. Quite fresh. Meat was bland and oversalted. A way too much for piece for size of your hand. Not recommend.

My daughter, and mrs. Have been here before and said it was good. First time going tonight had the mixed gyro’s. Fantastic food and people were great. Definitely coming back if you haven’t tried get down there and enjoy

Nice place but waited 20 mins for 1 chicken pitta and did not taste nice

Ordered through uber eats - took an hour and a half for food to arrive cold. Ordered 4xchucken and halloumi pitta, halloumi was missing in 2 out of 4, all 4 lacked tzatziki which was stated as an ingredient. Way too salty, otherwise no spices/other flavour. Meat quality way below average, barely cooked, dangly and blue, chewy and disgusting. Had to scrape off. Inedible. Also ordered pitta with tzatziki, when we first saw the pitiful little tzatziki smaller than a fingernail we couldn't help but laugh. Pistacchio cake and baklava seemed substandard as well. Worst greek we've had in our lives by far, never again. Leaves awful aftertaste too.

Beautiful gyros, souvlaki and greek salad! This is now mine and my wife's go to place for a quick treat. Alpha beer too!

Only 1 star as I couldn’t rate it any less. Absolutely shocking service, food never arrived after nearly two hours and I was charged for it in full. Called the restaurant multiple times to find out where the food was and they kept telling me ‘it’s on the way’. On the 10th call, I asked for a refund to which they refused to refund the money and have now blocked my number. Don’t waste your money

After waiting for almost 2 hours, unsurprisingly we got completely cold food.

Never been into the shop but I came across them on ubereats and it was by far the best choice I’ve made. The service by far impeccable, food is always to order and standard is 10/10 and I’m very fussy with how I like my food (it has to be hot on arrival) nothing crazy. You get what you ask for and they are amazing about it. Thank you for catering for our needs, giving you 5 stars isn’t enough❤️ it’s so hard to find good food let alone service in Coventry

The food is good, just a shame about the awful delivery service. Took nearly 2 hours to arrive (after being given an initial estimate of 40 minutes). It arrived cold, especially the fries which were pretty much room temperature. However, the food tastes amazing and is very good value. A lot of people complain about the delivery... maybe start using Uber Eats drivers instead of your own if you can't keep up with demand?

For the second time no food! Called the restaurant and they advised it was on the way, they obviously then clicked "arrived" on Just Eat, but, alas!, no food. Shocking service. This is the second time they have done this. Can't believe I ordered a second time.

Ordered at work after hearing this place being praised by two people so it was highly recommended. Food was late, almost double the time expected, the driver would not get out of the car to deliver and by the time we started eating it was lukewarm and not all that tasty. It was by no means bad, just not something I would think of ordering again.

A comida é ótima por um preço justo, o atendimento é muito bom, o local é limpo. Sinceramente, vale super a pena, um dos melhores de Coventry. O molho que bem na pitta é super refrescante, delicioso.

Emmys seems to have really gone down hill. The last two orders from here have been over an hour late. The food both times has been cold and soggy and calls to the restaurant do nothing. To top things off the delivery driver was sat outside chatting to his passenger for a good 10 mins before delivering the food. I cannot recommend this place any longer. Its a shame as this was my go to takeaway.

Literally just ate here. I love Greek/Cypriot food & this is extremely high quality! Mixed Gyros was absolutely beyond flavoursome & tasty, the Loukaniko which is something I hadn't tried was very tasty too, like a German Sausage with actual meat, herbs & spices. Forgot to order the chocolate pistachio (I presume cake which looks ace)...so another reason to revisit in the next day or two 😂😁👌🇬🇷 YAMAS!!!

I thought I left my headphones here and I sent a message to the restaurant through the google maps chat at 1:30 AM so that they might look in the morning, I received a message literally 1 minute later saying that he would have a look before they opened tomorrow. It turns out the person I came with accidentally packed them in their bag. The staff were nice and I was very impressed with the environment, food quality and price. In my opinion, the chicken pita souvlaki is better here than in restaurants I went to in Greece (where the chunks of chicken were often quite tough, here it is sliced and of good quality). I’ll definitely visit again.

Took 1 hour and 40 minutes for delivery and had to call for this to happen. Good food but really bad delivery service.

Absolutely amazing, got food from here and let me tell you one of best spots you can find around. Warm, seasoned, grilled to perfection, juice and full of flavor.. was cooked fresh and quick.. well done to you guys, whatever you are doing, you are doing amazing. Decent tasting pork gyros; was surprised there was no seasoning/salt on the chips however. The price is excellent; and the service was extremely quick. Looking forward to popping back soon and trying something else on the menu.

I think this is one of the best coffees in the town and around West Midlands. I recommend it from the bottom of my heart to people who want to enjoy a non burnt and tasty coffee. I have been there for more than 20times and every time I was welcomed as a member of the family not only as a customer. From the entrance you can see that the business respects itself by the hygiene level and by the professionalism of the staff. Who ever wants to go, believe me you will never find a better experience around Coventry as at Emmy's Pitta. 💙💙💙

Ordered food at 7:40 arrived at 9:20. Called the restaurant twice, obviously happens to a lot of orders as when they picked up they though I was someone else and when I said what order I’m calling for they hung up. Overall food was nice, probably would be better with sauces, but unfortunately they forgot about them. The pistachio cake was really nice.

Not sure where the reviews are coming from, but this has to be the worst chicken souvlaki in the world! Chicken is on a stick, pre assembled and obviously bought frozen. It's cooked to a state of charcoal, hopefully because its not cooked from frozen and with the exception of the two slices of tomato and salad, everything else was, well crap. Really unacceptable that something like this is regarded as a 4.5. Awful!

This place is just outside the city centre, on the way to the railway station. It's open late and always seems busy. We found out why! really good food and a good choice of drinks including Greek wine and beer. It looks onto Greyfriars Green so is quite a nice place to eat outside. Staff were friendly and attentive.and overall it was great value - one of the best cheap eats in Coventry.

Ordered a takeaway from here for the first time and was very impressed. The presentation, portion size and taste was spot on. I had the mixed platter and the variety was great. Will definitely be coming back here.

We went to this place after trying other cuisines in Coventry. it is in a quiet area near the train station. Being vegetarians, there were still many options and we had great wraps as well as pita bread and hummus. They also have this greek soft drink in a can in 3 flavours and the grape one was outstanding.

Some of the most delicious Greek food I’ve ever had, spotted this place on the way to the station, and it stuck out like a sore thumb in Coventry. Such amazing food and kind service! Definitely recommend !!! 10/10

The venue itself is pretty decent however as there are people smoking outside, indoor seating arrangements will smell of cigarettes Food serve time was pretty quick and reasonable for the price I would go again and try out other items

We had always really enjoyed Emmy’s Pita, but unfortunately we got delivered some mouldy tiramisu today (as an alternative to baklawa, which is what I had initially ordered). When I called the restaurant to let them know they claimed this is what tiramisu is meant to be like…’creamy’. After convincing them about the mouldy item, they said they’d write a note so I could order something else in future…but after seeing the mouldy food it took our appetite away and we did not enjoy our meal, and it cost over 29 pounds 😭 Safe to say we will not be ordering from here again. We have visited Emmys Pitta few times and every time food is great! Staff absolutely amazing and atmosphere is lovely :) Last time we took share for two meal and it was so good! We took leftovers home and are them next day for lunch and it still tasted great! My son had pitta with halloumi and he really enjoyed it

Had a lovely pork gyros portion at this cute little spot in Coventry. My partner is quite fussy about food but he loved every bit of this. Would highly recommend.

The food is amazing. I ordered from them few times now, and everything was always great. But the Tzatziki sauce, out of the world, incredibly taste, I recommend buying the big pot for £5. One of the best places in Coventry in my opinion.

Great services and food, would come back

Food is good but customer service and delivery are awful. Been there once and they forgot my order and after I remembered them they bring it and manage it to make it wrong and keep asking to accept it ( I asked Pork skepasti and I got chicken one, and after 4 times going back and forward they added some pork. For delivery today I received the order in over 1,5 hours ( 40 min later than the timing provided) so I end up starving for couple of hours as my break was gone once I received the order and I already had client on. And obviously by the time I had another break the food was cold … and not even a sorry for that

After arriving late into Coventry we ordered take away from Emmy's. The gyros were delicious, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend

It is a very small place but they do have seating outside, the service is amazing and the food tasted like I was back in Greece! Everything from the gyros wrap to the feta cheese salad was perfected and I would like to ask, where is that exotic Fanta from? I loved it.

It was the second time I visited this restaurant and noticed substantial improvements. Food was better quality. Crispy, tasty, not as salty as the first time. Trying to maintain a balance of ingredients in the pitta is very important. No need to stuff it with tzatziki. It is supposed to give a flavour only. Meat was good. No Greek beers! Service was better, although it took nearly half an hour to prepare two pitta kebabs! Why? The young lady who took our order was polite. Attention has to be drawn to the atmosphere to make it more relaxed, welcoming, enjoyable. This depends on the way you manage the restaurant. Eg, the continuous open-close of the door and the draft caused does not help. I will go back again. If they continue improving themselves they will soon be in my favourites list. Best of luck guys!

Delicious food and friendly staff

Ordered delivery food and was over an hour before I rang to find they had not even started preparing. To give the excuse that it was busy in the restaurant sounds stupid as surely you prepare the food in the order it comes in. Poor

Very very good 👌 After searching the area for quick, cheap, but delicious, eats the reviews of Emmys didn’t lie. Excellent food, made quick and big portions, what’s not to love?? We ordered the mixed Skepasti and the Chicken pitta gyro with a side of chips for takeaway. The Skepasti was delicious and great value for money. Very delicious and filling! The chips are also great - with a mixed herb seasoning. Food cooked fast and tbh a side of chips wasn’t needed but they were great, so hey ho! The chicken pitta gyro is also a great portion size and little cheaper than than the Skepasti. Juicy and flavoursome - would also get this again!! Tbh I want to eat the whole menu after eating here. The staff seemed great and you can sit inside, or outside, if you like too. Cheap eats and very rewarding. 5 star!

Hopeless, order taking 2 hours - you call 2 or 3 times and every time they lie to you and say it is on the way - 30 minutes later, NOTHING. Needless to say that’s the very last time we are ordering from them.

after a long walk in the War Memorial Park this is probably the 1st restaurant you will see if you walk into city centre! very friendly staff and food was on point too! 6.5£ for a souvlaki is very reasonable, I had the Gyros and it was very succulent! the Greek salad was very good too, 7.5£ seemed a bit but it’s actually a very filling portion! looked like mostly native Greek people there which is an indication that it’s definitely good ☺️

We ordered ‘Emmys Pitta as a takeaway and even though it arrived 40 mins late, it was well worth the wait and we would re order in a heartbeat! From someone who has visited Greece many times, this food was 100% authentic and was absolutley delicious. The chef must be Greek! Portion sizes huge and reasonably priced for what you are given. This place has acheived both quantity and quality.. Meat cooked to perfection and eveything seasoned generously. Will definitely be returning soon for more tasty food!

Great tasting food for a good price.

Wasn't happy food arrived 25minutes late. Upon ringing was told it has been very busy, poor customer service with that poor excuse. Once ypu get good at making excuses you can't get good at anything else. Food was tasty, bit on the cold side.

Solid food, nice servers, and decent outdoor seating when not over run with massive groups. The mixed grill skepasti was very good, and after hard pressing from the girl I caved and got the mythos beer and she wasn’t lying it was refreshing not heavy at all.

Food arrived stone cold waited far too long for food to be delivered items were missing and not worth the money portions very small.

Ordered food after an hour and twenty minutes the food had not arrived. I called to chase it up and was told it was on the way. After another twenty minutes the food had still not arrived. I called back and was told it’s not been started to be cooked yet. They can push it to the front now if I want them to start making it. I couldn’t really tell you if the food is good or bad because it never arrived. Just eat? More like imagine you ate!

Best takeaway we have had in a long time. Arrived quickly, very warm, fresh and most importantly so so tasty! Will be ordering again!

We ordered food at 4:30 PM, called the restaurant at 6 PM, they said that the food is on its way. Called again at 7 PM, suddenly they said that they don't see the order on the system and then they said it just appeared on the system right now. Still haven't arrived at 7:30 PM.

Gorgeous, tasty food that actually made me feel like I was back in Greece 😍 Beautiful taste…portions are huge. 😊
