Went here today with my friend. We both had a scone, pot of tea and a latte 😋. It was delicious really big scones which they heated up for us, with butter and raspberry jam 😋 yum 😋 yum 😋 Always a warm welcome from the staff. I would highly recommend this cafe. You can sit outside at the back of cafe with beautiful views.

I was shown quickly to a table and told the waitress that all I wanted was a bowl of soup. The soup arrived quite promptly, and it was home-made and tasty. I'd go back.

I'm very surprised to read the latest reviews on this establishment, as we found our overall experience here very good indeed! The sign outside and above the main entrance is "J.G.Ross". Our first visit here. Welcomed by helpful, enthusiastic and a polite member of staff, who said she'd be with us in a minute. The place was busy. She showed us through the back of the building, where there's a spacious, warm and well lit conservatory. High chairs available. A fine choice on the menu for our lite lunch, which, when it arrived (quickly) was very good. I had a small soup of the day, sweet potato/red pepper, and a sweet chilli chicken panini (under £8), overlooking the North Sea. The toilets were clean and tidy too. We'll definitely be back.

Visited Emmas this afternoon for lunch and I am saddened to say that we were left disappointed. We visited at 2pm, appreciate that this is past peak lunch time however we were informed there was no lettuce or cucumber left so salads were unavailable. Ordered a panini which was cold with solid slices of plastic cheese in the middle, my sister ordered a 'famous JR Ross pie' which she was warned would have to be microwaved due to no fresh ones bring available, when it arrived it was cold in the middle and incredibly dry. Chips were chewy and lukewarm, clearly just reheated. No condiments available on the table and noted crockery wan't even properly cleaned. Finally when it came to the bill it came to a hefty total of nearly £20. Emmas has certainly changed over the years, won't be returning soon. Save your money folks x

Used to come here quite a lot ten years ago when I visited Buckie. Really gone downhill. Friends that live here have stopped coming. Shame, as the have a beautiful conservatory at the back overlooking the sea. Not so friendly as it was either.

Not the first time, have dined in this excellent little diner. Breakfast this time. The staff are efficient in all respects, start to finish. The food delivery is timely and well presented and off course tasty. Great little diner.

I used to come to Emma’s quite regularly with my mother. They do have a great little play table for the kids and toys! However, the quality of the food has really gone down. You used to get what you paid for and the plates were always full! Don’t get me wrong, everything is homemade. I’m unsure if they have changed the chef or what but it doesn’t offer the same great value you used to get. Also, sometimes the staff look like they hate being there. Always monotone and unhappy looking, it’s off putting..

Had lunch here with a friend. Quick, friendly service. Big bowl of Cullen Skink made by Amanda to die for along with crusty bread at a very reasonable price. We were so full up we hadn't room for anything else!! I will definitely be back.

Went here for lunch, ordered paninis, what we received were slightly toasted French bread definitely not like any panini I'd had before although the filling was very tasty. The tea is like warm water absolutely no taste of tea. All in all very disappointing.

No eye contact made as we entered. We were handed a couple of menus and then sat being ignored while two other groups came in and were served. We got up and left, unnoticed.

Paid a visit last week and ended up sitting freezing in a very cold conservatory. Then the food came. Cold macaroni, and a chicken curry brimming with chicken, but where was the curry sauce. Never again....

Both days in Buckie and I had lunch in Emma's, really bright airy place, always busy, however no bother to get a table and be served in good time. Great choice on menu and specials board, well cooked and presented food. Friendly attentive staff.

£12 for a sausage sandwich (2 sausages likely cheap frozen ones), a fried egg sandwich (1 egg), beans on toast (cheap catering beans) 2 coffees and a juice. I don't mind paying if food is good but food wasn't good so I did mind paying....

I thought I would give this place a try, but was not impressed. I simple lunch of soup and sandwich and a soft drink, left me little change out of my tenner. On reflection, I would have been better at the chipper across the road at half the price.

Always a pleasant place to eat, Emmas has changed since my last visit to Buckie. It now seems to be staffed by bad tempered and angry school dinner ladies who regard serving customers a great imposition! The food has deteriorated quick drastically and it now seems quite expensive. There are several cafes nearby where the staff are friendly and the food is keenly priced and much better quality. I remember what this place was like until quite recently and it is a great pity!

It's been a few years since I came in here and I presume there has been a change of staff, if not management since. I ordered the "Full Scottish Breakfast" which was priced similarly to other "full" breakfasts elsewhere and listed a comprehensive set of ingredients. What I actually got was ONE rasher of bacon, ONE small (and cheap tasting) sausage, ONE (broken) fried egg, ONE piece of black pudding, HALF a tomato (yes! HALF) and a small spoonful of cheap tasting baked beans. There was also a cup of coffee and a doorstep of badly toasted bread with an inadequate portion of butter. The Tattie scone promised on the menu and the marmalade I'd hoped for were both "unavailable" with no alternative offered or price reduction to compensate. The cafe also seems to be used by a number of people of consider it to be their personal club and resent "strangers" patronising it. Won't be back

They bring a cold can of drink and a hot glass to put it in. Then we get 2 plates of food brought to the table, no cutlery, and then 5 minutes later, the next two plates of food, and then, finally the cutlery. My cousin found a short dark hair in the food - under a pile of mac cheese - and we get told "We've all got light hair here, that's a dark hair" - as if that is an explanation ? - no attempt at even a basic apology, just the insinuation that you are lying, got told couldn;t have a refund as we had already paid [?!] - unbelievably bad

Stopped here for lunch when driving through Buckie, contrary to other reviews i've read on trip advisor, I didnt have any issues with the service? Ok, we didn't get asked for our order as soon as we sat down, which meant we had time to read the menu first :) waitress was friendly, the food was good, and I wouldn't call it pricey? Each to their own I guess, would be happy to stop here for a bite to eat if I am ever passing through Buckie again.

Have been to Emmas in the past and the food and service was excellent but unfortunatly the service now is terrible. I was told to sit any where by waitress and given menu. After waiting 10 mins for waitress I decided to find someone 3 girls were leaning against counter talking so after telling them it would be their fault if Emmas closed because of customers leaving without being served I then left and will not return

Ashers have a takeaway section plus a separate counter for the adjoining sit in restaurant in the downstairs part of the St Giles Shopping Centre. There is a good selection of hot and cold light lunch options plus soup, cakes, and filled sandwiches/ rolls, and the usual hot and cold drinks. Prices are what you would expect from this type of establishment. Service was quick and friendly from Jane and I had an enjoyable snack.

Oh dear, customer service attitude the worst I’ve ever experienced. What I requested, 1 sit down coffee in a cup and 2 coffees in take away cups became quite the task. Somehow it was my fault things got mixed up, and whilst I quite easily and calmly tried to explain the order (again) things behind the counter escalated to the point where the girl serving actually asked me if I wanted the coffees or not? We are over from Australia and just not used to bad attitude within the service industry. You wouldn’t last long at all with that attitude. On a positive note once I was dealt with and the banging of cups and jugs all over with, the attitude quite obviously changed so the following customers had a different service …. But I do wonder if this was for my benefit? Do better please.

Just okay. The fish was nice and crispy, but the chips were horrible. It was almost as if they were fried, then sat for a while, then dropped into the fryer again to heat them up.

I visited Miller's cafe in Decora,Elgin, on April 11th after shopping in Decora's lovely garden center. My friend and I regularly visit Decora and we love to try out Millers cake and scone selection on sale. We were both delighted on this occassion to buy a scone we had not seen before. The scone was Peach and Apricot. We found the scones to be absolutly delicious. Very light and full of the fruity flavour. Well done Miller's cafe for these delicious fruity scones. Our cuppachino coffee was very nice too.
