Great little stop for a breakfast on way home. Right on the main road, easy parking, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Portions were huge. Nice clean toilets and baby changing facilities. Will definitely visit again when in the area. Thanks

If you like half mashed potato with no seasoning like the rest of all the meals. Then come to emlyn cafe! Then be told that the microwaved Yorkshire puddings are fine because I've been here before. Save yourself money and your taste buds the hassle of the offensively bad food.

A little gem of a traditional breakfast cafe. Nothing fancy but ideal for a standard breakfast unless you are starving then go for the huge breakfast and you won't be able to move for a few hours. Service was very prompt, but lacked a smile and any enthusiasm but you can't have everything.

A lovely breakfast, whatever size appetite you have. From the big Emlyn breakfast to feed the hungriest of appetites to the average persons appetite with 2 sizes in-between prices from £7 to £12 good value

Visiting cefnllaethdre caravan and camping for the museum of power and to have this place around the corner fab even got a licensed bar 👍

What a hidden gem, infact I want to keep it to myself. Happy friendly staff, great breakfast so good we headed back the next day for Sunday lunch....with all the trimmings and an apple crumble with custard to die for. Clearly popular with the locals, I can see why. Thank you for sharing with us visitors, we will definitely be back when in the area. So good I forgot photos!

We sat in the rear of the cafe as we had dogs with us, the rear room is as large as some cafes so it wasn’t cramped, service didn’t take long and the food was fantastic. We had large breakfasts and drinks, couldn’t fault it. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area, prices are very reasonable

A good roadside cafe offering a good truck stop style service, with breakfasts and other basic meals all day. Carer for food not on the menu, tea and coffee at a fair price. Servings are large, so you won't leave hungry. Definitely a good put stop diner

Good honest cafe food with a tempting roast dinner every day.

Rian and her team at Emlyn Cafe pulled out all the stops, and delivered a sit down lunch for our Radio Society's AGM (VMARS) at the Internal Firepower Musem at Tany-y-Groes, delivered on time, food hot and delicious with Beef,Turkey, Veg lasagne, and Veg sausage available, followed by scrumptious Trifle and Apple Pie and Trifle, Almond cake for our GF colleagues, overall I now know why i rocked up for seconds, all diners very satisfied, so as you pass by for your trip into cardigan, plan to stop for your Breakfast or Lunch, you will not be dissapointed. Thank you Emlyn Cafe and Rian/team, we will certainly use you again!!

3 x Roast beef dinners + 1 pint of larger shandy & 2 glasses of water (tap) £39 This was unfortunately more like a school dinner and a bad one at that. Sliced processed beef, a hard (really hard) cube of stuffing, watery cabbage, tasteless carrots, boiled potatoes and ‘gravy-‘ It wouldn’t be so bad if it cost £7 each (max) and that would be pushing it but £12! I don’t know why they can’t produce a decent hone-cooked roast for this price. Felt so disappointed. Have previously had breakfast there which was fine but I wouldn’t recommend the carvery. Staff were nice

Only stopped off for a sausage sandwich and a coffee, as I walked into the next room as it was a Sunday they were dishing up huge Sunday roasts ! If I hadn't already ordered I'd have gone for the roast it looked lovely. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Also really enjoyed my sandwich 😊👍

I would describe this as being similar to a transport cafe but in a village hall from the 70's!! Decor, fixtures & fittings were very dated but didn't seem to matter as very popular with locals when we visited for Sat' morning breakfast. It was very busy but the service was good and the food was all ok. NB: Food rating is only 1.

Great Cafe for traditional British/Welsh food, served in a simple style without frills, and at a very good price. Staff are helpful and friendly. Nice view over Cardigan bay in the distance, (but with a main road in front of the Cafe). The Cafe specialises in home delivery to local peeps who are looking for an alternative to local authority 'meals on wheels'.

Had a lovely beef cooked dinner freshly cooked well worth the money very clean establishment my hubby only complaint the bacon was a little too crispy for his taste

Food was very greasy. Got husbands order wrong and just scraped of the beans and then put tomatoes on. Good job he wasn't allergic. Very slow at getting drinks. Tables left for a while not cleared until new customers arrived.

It's like stepping back into the past. I have visited this cafe many times over the years, and it's hardly changed. Always good food, always good service.

Stopped here from breakfast on our way past. Seated straight away and food arrived quickly. Seems like a small family business. Staff were friendly and breakfast was great. Plenty of space inside and parking was easy just of a main A road. Would visit again when in the are next.

If you want somewhere trendy your in the wrong place. if you want huge portions of good food at good prices, helpful friendly staff & atmosphere your in the right place.

A warm welcome from the staff, service was great and the breakfast was very tasty, plenty of parking, wheelchair accessible, the table we had was facing the see.

I went there for there st David's day celebration they served crawl it was delicious, I didn't understand anything that was being said as it was all in welsh but had a fantastic time the choir we brilliant lovely voices would highly recommend a visit as the food is really lush.

Very polite staff, and the food was excellent

Passed this place quite a few times but finally called in today. Wish i hadn't. Ordered the big breakfast with a cup of tea. The breakfast consisted of bacon which was the best part of the breakfast and well cooked, sausage which were cheap rubbish but cooked ok, fried eggs which Gordon Ramsey would have a seizure if he saw them. The eggs were overcooked and rubbery and hard. The fried potatos were ok, the grilled tomato mushy and soggy , the beans were ok, the toast was unfortunately not toasted so was soft and covered in the cheapest mank margerine spread, the mushrooms were nice, the fried bread greasy and soft. The cost was 8 quid plus 1 pound 20 extra for a cup of tea. Ive eaten far better for 2 quid less locally. Overall it was very poor quality food, poorly cooked in a tired and greasy environment that was straight out of the eighties. The food also took quite a longtime to arrive. Definitely won't be back here.

The food was hot and served up fairly quickly. Toilets were clean and modern.

Unfortunately we didn’t find this gem of a cafe until the day before we were due to go home. Situated on the main Aberystwyth to Cardigan road with ample parking and a varied menu, you could easily miss this if you are driving too fast. Lots of brunch options, and a general feeling that the staff would do their best to accommodate any requirement. We will happily go back if we are ever in the area again.

Lovely food nearly every time, bacon was abit crispy on last visit I tend to only really go for the big or all day breakfast, the big one is great value in my opinion Definitely worth a visit

So glad I booked Sunday lunch here for 15th May, it was probably, based on quality, portion size, value, and helpful staff, the best I have ever had. I keep laughing at the previous two reviews about it on here, did they really eat here? On arrival, shown to our table, was feeling good vibes as was busy with locals, always a good sign. What we particularly liked was its a sort of carvery, but your table number is shouted out, and off you walk to the counter where you are faced with a lovely lady asking if you want Lamb, beef, turkey, pork, or mix and match, you can even have all 4 meats. And as important, you have the counter to yourself, no tripping over each other at this gem. Mate and I decided on Lamb and Beef, no scrimping here on portion sizes! She then plates up for you with what you want, from superb Roasties, creamy mash, to lots of different veg, parsnips especially were stunning, then asks if you want gravy on. We certainly did want it on, then she said she would also bring more gravy to our table as soon as we were sitting down. Gravy was that good, I nearly drank it from the boat. My mate said I could never finish it off, I cleared the plate. Trouble with that was, I had no room for dessert, especially after seeing the size of those being brought out to various tables. Superb is what springs to mind, you cannot be disappointed with it, and I think I have left a lot more reviews on tripadvisor than some others on here! They open around 9pm in week until 3pm, I did have a big breakfast midweek, and could not fault it, even the eggs are cooked to how you would want them. It is suitable for families too, kids meals are reasonable price. The milkshakes etc look so good, and again, good value, great size. But the £11 Sunday lunch, as well as the fantastic smiling staff, are the real stars of this popular, yet spacious cafe, its a meal I will never forget. Thanks Emlyn Cafe, I will be back one day when next in the area, if you want, you can open an Emlyn Two in my home town Chorley, you would do a roaring trade serving food as good and generous as that.

Went for Sunday lunch with the oldies 👩‍🦳👨‍🦳. Great service-home cooked food-clean and tidy Cafe. First class👌👌. Highly recommended 👍👍.

Worst Sunday roast dinner I have ever had, especially on mother day, cabbage, carrots, and mashed sweed was very sloppy and soggy, had two small roast potatoes (cold), stuffing was small and stodgy, thin cuts of beef no flavour and gravey was like water. Well overpriced at £11 a plate and child's £7 for poor quality food. Avoid Sunday roast.

Table booked for family meal on mothering Sunday. Roast dinner option only available, no other options for child menu. Soggy watery vegetables carrots, swede and cabbage. Two small cold roast potatoes, 1 small parsnip, gravy like water. Meat cut very thin,lamb option available at a supplement of £1.00. Only good thing about this meal was the mash potato. And all this for the bargain price of £11.00 per adult, child was charged at £7.00. Absolutely extortionate prace for the quality of the dinner! WORST SUNDAY ROAST THAT I HAVE EVER HAD!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!

Had Sunday Lunch here, lamb. The lamb was cut really thin and was very fatty also no peas, terrible frozen cheap yorkshire puddings. The rest of the dinner was okay but for 11.50 overpriced. The place itself is very basic, I felt I was in a community hall. Not my choice. Sorry

Great place! Tasty home cooked food. They also serve the local community with meals on wheels. I have to say also, they make the best home made chips, not those tasteless frozen ones! Friendly staff, very clean and tidy. Highly recommended

Not met with a welcome, or even an acknowledgement. Not even bothered to stay as they really didn't want to come and ask us what we wanted, plus only one other person in the place so not rushed off their feet. Shall not pop in there again what a shame.

Very basic surroundings but great food

This is a lovely little eaterie. Beautifully prepared traditional cuisine. I had ham eggs and sweet potato fries. Extremely accommodating and friendly staff. The Mocha I drank there also nice. Yvonne runs this café with the utmost professionality and fantastic customer service skills. A wonderful and relaxing meal. I normally live on protein shake so evidently this food is special. It's good, old fashioned humble food, with the addition of contemporary favourites such as sweet potato fries. I look forward to eating here again when I am in the area. A winning lunchtime experience.

A group of us visited here on 20 th August for an evening meal . The food was great value for money in a truly welcoming environment . Have visited here on numerous occasions but the whole establishment has had a face lift since lockdown and now is most appealing on the eye . Highly recommended for a wonderful tasty meal at very reasonable prices.

Traditional cafe, we had full/big breakfast and Childs size portion. Service perfect and food obs cooked fresh. Bacon was to die for! Deffo recommend and only annoyed as we only found it on our last day, or would have been there many more times. Also had decafe tea which is a big plus for me! And the cream in top is v v reasonably priced. Goes to show don’t get yer head turned by fancy interiors etc!! Deffo recommend an absolute find!!

Called in today when passing a couple of minutes before closing time ,needing a light late lunch .No problem at all and we had soup and jacket potato , ample portion , well served.Well spaced tables and clean .Thank you .

First time visiting this area. We popped in for some breakfast. Food was great quality and lovley tasting. Everything was super clean and tidy. Covid restrictions in place well with socail distanced tables and hand santizing. Waitress we had named Carol was very friendly and accomidating. Highly recommend for a nice breakfast.

Repeat visitor - just love this place, came yesterday for a full English breakfast (5 STARS) ... here again today for a jacket potato! Massive packets, plenty of filling, and never disappoints! This is one out of favourite places to eat. Has just recently been refurbished and is looking a million times better :-)
