I visited with my mother and my 2 young kids. Kids loved their breakfast baps which seemed to be made with oven bottom muffins which were tasty. I had scrambled eggs on some very hard crunchy sourdough toast with some extra beans and tomato from the add on breakfast menu. My tomato was a quartered salad tomato still fridge cold whereas I would have expected this to be a sliced and cooked / hot tomato. My mum’s poached eggs on sourdough toast was on undercooked toast barely more than bread so wonder if the toaster was turned up when mine was cooked! Didn’t seem to be any salt on the tables just pepper. Cakes were okay but waitress / server didn’t know what one of them was when I asked which I thought was unusual in the current allergy climate. She seemed new and a bit lacking in confidence. Scenery was beautiful and was quite quiet. Think more could be done with the deli but I would visit again.

5 star venue Stopped whilst out on a walk, really friendly and genuine owner and staff. Coffee was really good and the creamy mushrooms on toast with a poached egg to top it was delicious, service was excellent. Absolutely worth knowing when planning a walk, cycling nearby, or simply to meet friends for a bite to eat, coffee and a chat.

One of the best Sunday roast dinners that I have had in years. The publican was very kind and accommodating. Had a very nice and relaxing time. Thank you.

Met with family for lunch last week here and didn’t even know it existed! The pub itself is a real cosy and cute pub and decorated beautifully for Christmas! The staff were all absolutely lovely and very attentive. The food was amazing! I had a starter of chicken pate and Chicken Burger for main and both tasted great. I was far too full to even look at the dessert menu but I’m sure the puddings would also have been fantastic! I really want to give this pub an excellent review as I had a lovely time and would definitely visit again but the smell is just overwhelming 😕 A very old building smell that has resulted in me having to put my coat in the washing machine it was that bad.

I am a regular at The Sun Kislingbury. There was eight coming for Sunday Dinner hoping for a nice meal. We booked a few days before. Sadly the food was cold and our meal looked nothing like the pictures in the previous review. Not quite sure if we had yorkshires definitely no cauliflower cheese. All very disappointing, though the staff tried there best. Unfortunately pork dinner served with a very small amount of pork. Trio of meats only had two meats available. I think The Sun is a great pub if you are not a regulars.
