We booked a table at this restaurant online and had all the expected emails (including one a couple of days before asking us to confirm that we were definitely going). However on arrival we discovered that the restaurant had closed and there was now something else in it's place. I was told that the restaurant had closed over a month ago! All their online booking seems still to be in place, including the emails telling me that I was successfully checked in at the restaurant and the one asking for feedback on my experience! Very misleading. Also very disappointing given that we'd travelled a long way and desperately needed Gluten Free food and there was nothing else suitable in the area that we could find. What a disaster!

Cancelled reservation for birthday meal a few hours before the table was booked for. No explanation, no response to answer phone message or email. Highly likely the restaurant is actually closed permanently.

Recently opened, initially pop-up, but may stay a while longer, according to owner/chef. Met up with some friends who were visiting from NYC. We really enjoyed all of the small plates which we shared. Tender meats, particularly the flat iron steak, crunchy and delicious vegetables, loved the kale and smoked sweet potato. The restaurant was quite empty, which was a surprise, having read good reviews on various platforms before booking. I'm glad I still had room for dessert, we shared three of them initially and they were all sublime. An additional rum 'n' raisin ice cream to finish left me resolute that I will return here again and introduce other friends and family to this lovely new restaurant on Brick Lane.

Wonderful food and a lovely atmosphere. We went with someone with a gluten allergy and the food was ideal for this, the majority was already gf and that that wasn’t could be adapted. Would highly recommend.

Excellent food, wine selection and service. You really can't fault anything... Small plates offer opportunities for a wide variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. This place will be very busy in the weeks to come. Try it.

I hadn't heard of Ember but we booked on first table and gave it a try. The chef and staff were really lovely and made us feel very comfortable. The menu is made up of gorgeous small plates, we ended up ordering most of them and were very impressed by all of the choices, doing exceptionally well for both veg and meat options. The waiter said they opened a month ago, so I really hope they stay open as we were very impressed all around, It may not look great from outside but it was very impressive overall and well worth this review!!

Service itself was great though they were a person down so it wasn't quick by any stretch. Food and drinks were good, veggie dishes by far the best. It's a nice place it was just a shame that there was such a wait between things.

We stumbled across this special place by chance. Everything in the room was thoughtfully done. The space is intimate, the service friendly and warm. We were very impressed with the food which was all high quality, times just right, and it all made for a beautiful dinner occasion. Go now, before they get too busy. A secret find.

This place was an absolute treat. Not the typical kind of place you would find on brick lane and the food was incredible. I recommend the pork belly and harissa cauliflower. The puddings were great too. The chef and staff gave it a friendly and welcoming vibe.

It was a lovely experience which I would not expect to be found in Brick lane, the restaurant is newly opened, and you can tell that from the exterior decoration they kept from the last shop. Food-wise it got a good selection of everything, for starters, we tried the sourdough and croquettes. And for the main, we have the cauliflower, kale, quail and pork belly. My favourite is definitely with the sourdough, which it was so simple yet so delicious, nothing beats a warm slice of bread with quality salt and butter. The other one that I liked is the cauliflower, which it has harissa spice added on top gives it another dimension that I never thought could be such a good match. The rest of the foods are above average but nothing exceeded our expectation. The wine that we got recommended was only so-so as well. Still, the attention of the services and the smiles on both the restaurant manager and the chef was nothing but genuine. Will definitely go back one day when I start missing the sourdough again :) Photo credit to my friend Ivy who took all these beautiful photos!

A tantalising European, Mediterranean cuisine experience for a reasonably priced menu in an off the beaten track location in the famous brick lane. Graham Beck Prosecco tasted more like champagne. Smooth and a good start to the meal. A short but punchy drinks and wine list to trial. You will not be disappointed. Artichoke and beetroot starter was fantastic and what a lovely combo in flavours with the goats curd that just completed the dish. Grilled sea bass was devine and not to be missed. Highly recommend. Lamb cutlets were beautifully marinated, cooked and super delicious. A lovely touch with chimichurri. Buttermilk chicken melted in your mouth and just so wonderfully delightful with the tasty slaw. All dishes were perfectly presented and the likes of Michelin top chefs. Another key addition is the well known chef named Craig Ian McAlphine who founded this newly formed project. Chilled and cool ambience together with the friendliest service of the Ember chef and crew. A must try if you’re in London. Too good to miss.

A great new pop up restaurant on Brick Lane. Craig, the head chef, and his team look after you very well. The restaurant serves small plates, so a great chance to dry different things. The lamb chops were fantastic as were the cod cheeks. The place has an excellent selection of cocktails as well as a small but very interesting wine list, with many of the wines from South Africa. An excellent spot and well worth a visit.

Beautiful new spot in Brick Lane, with casual vibe and great yet fair priced food and wines. The service is attentive and laid-back, and Craig, the Chef, is one of those chefs that will like to guide you through the menu and have a chat with you. Overall a fantastic experience, highly recommended.

Went there with my date for dinner and exceeded the expectations. Food was fantastic. We shared the hake, salmon and the quail, plus a bottle of their Spanish organic white, which was a good recommendation. Service was attentive and after the dinner we had a chat with with the Chef, who explained us about the dishes and its new project. Will definitely come back.

A very cozy vibe with easily the best service I've experienced in London. Such a nice, warm and welcoming staff. The food was very tasty and very filling! Carefully while ordering the chocolate mousse...it's really meant to be shared. Would be back here for sure

thats the headline. and i can understand that youre not going to stop till you get one. this is a natural human response to the beerskis. this is what found me down the lebanese express grill on brick lane. the second you arrive you knowwwww for sureskis its gonna take a while for scran. but youre invested. so hey ho lets ruddy go. however there still exists a realm of bossman obfuscation which is beyond even your drunkest ideations. the order is a normal one , and youre sitting pretty, chilling, chewing the phat with your pals. and then, the chill sets innnn. and all of a sudden, the local entourage of dealers rocks up. fair play you think, they get first dibs. theyre powerful people. then the string of this category of bloke keeps coming and youre sat by the till wondering if your time in the sunshine will ever materialise. perhaps, as you feared 15 mins ago, the bossman, so in charge, so on top of his worldly duty, has forgotten you. but this would seem bizarre given its legit his job and you dont wanna karen it up. well yeh thats what gwarned. you ask for your scran, get given some and only once youre home do you realise its the wrong thing. am i bitter? well obviously i am but really im normally quite pleasant

Extremely disappointing experience. Have visited a few times and previously enjoyed but this visit will probably be my last. The Sunday Roast was not very flavourful at all however the service was the crux. Honourable mention to ponytail guy who was pleasant until the end where he became very obnoxious and rude as they 'didn't accept card payments' despite having paid previously with card and could see the customer ahead of us paying with a card. Overall, mid-level roast and uncomfortable service, won't be revisiting!
