E'Lupo's in Rotherham

Never seen so many staff nibbling food 🤔

We came here for a 60th birthday last night. The birthday girl had had such a fun experience for her 50th birthday at E’lupo’s she wanted to come back to do it all over again. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case. After the average meal and the singer finished up, there was no atmosphere, music was turned off and the staff seemed to be impatient and waiting for us to leave for the last hour and a half. Previously, the experience here was something really special. The staff were welcoming, happy, dancing with us, music was on till close and the party atmosphere was really great allowing people from different tables to interact post meal. Safe to say, this time, she was pretty disappointed. Had she known this was the case now, we would have not booked a minibus from Sheffield and 40 seats just to come for an average sit down meal. When booking, it was mentioned about the previous experience and how excited she was to go back, it should have been made clear that this experience would no longer be the same.

Great food, service and atmosphere

Excellent food and great staff. We all really enjoyed the evening and will be returning soon.

Tonight was our first visit for a few years due to our days off always falling on closed days but it’s definitely been worth the wait and really nice to see it’s still doing well. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, great service and really tasty hot food!! We Will Definitely Recommend and Be Back Soon!

Went in here for the first time, the best Italian food in South Yorkshire. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We will come again

No parking wouldn't go there again I would like to add although it was a disaster for me it was only due to the lack of parking I spent most of my evening trying to park I didn't get chance to sample the food although I was told by others that it was excellent

We came here last week for the first time to celebrate my birthday as a family. The food was nice and really well priced. We had a lovely evening however left extremely disappointed with the service. The chair I was sat on had something significantly sharpe sticking out of it which had ruined my jeans as there is now a big hole in them. When making the staff aware of this we didn’t get an apology we just got told ‘thanks for letting us know’.

This place never fails to impress, always the highest of standards. Lovely food this evening and a service second to none. Thank you.

Lovely lovely little Italian restaurant I will definitely be going again. The price was great and the staff were lovely! The pasta I had was also AMAZING. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that a few people in our group got pizza and they said it wasn't great, one was also very burned. However, everyone who got pasta was very happy so... just get pasta?

Went for a meal last night March 26th with my husband, first time we have been. Staff were so lovely polite and friendly and welcoming. Food was so lovely and fresh and tasted so nice. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back again. 😊👍

Great food, well priced and relaxed atmosphere. The smell from the open kitchen was amazing. My wife had the seafood Rissotto which tasted great and the rice was perfectly cooked. I had the Carne Calzone with added chillis, beautiful and the fact that the staff checked I was happy with red chillis as they had no green ones was a customer service dream. Decent price for the drinks too Well done to all the team.

One of the weirdest nights out ever! Arrived and our table had been given away, so had to wait for 20 minutes to be seated. The bar area is tiny so there was no real place to wait for a drink. People were leaving tables and ordering drinks directly at the bar which was odd for a serviced restaurant. We were finally seated and it took forever for someone to take an order, even though we had promoted staff several times. Then the place turned into what can only be described as a working man's club. A singer appeared and was a typical female club singer and started singing typical club/karaoke hits. This is an Italian restaurant not a club! This really ruined the atmosphere as everyone had to shout to be heard over the singing. When orders were actually taken the food came out fairly quickly. Unfortunately the food whilst being okay was sub-par Italian cuisine with random salad garnishes, etc. typical of 90's dining. Whilst we expected trattoria style cuisine this was nowhere near as good quality. We are quickly, paid and left with haste. We won't be coming back. Poor service, poor food, run down building. Even the sign was hanging off the outside of the shop front. Avoid!!

Thank you for the most amazing dining experience ive had in a long time. The customer service was excellent and the food was out of this world and cooked to perfection. We all really enjoyed our visit and we are looking forward to our next visit 👍🏻

A lovely simple restaurant. Always good food and great atmosphere. Good prices too. Make sure you book in advance and plan ahead for weekend nights as it’s popular.

Summary of multiple visits... I've tried something different off the menu each time, and have all been excellent! Portion sizes have also been generous.

Food and service were very good and we were well looked after. Would have been better with real linen tablecloths though. Only one criticism was being told that an element of the dish has been unavailable for a while is not good especially when not informed when ordering, especially something the Chef could make, but on the whole an enjoyable evening.

Absolutely Amazing, the food was delicious, the staff were so friendly really made you feel at home.

Brilliant night, brilliant staff and most amazing food

Great food and good service, however the singer was boring no interaction with guests you could have just put music on and saved your money, no Christmas atmosphere, people was leaving around 9pm, please can you get rid of the plastic table cloths it makes the place cheap you don’t get this in Italy restaurants.

My boyfriend and I came here for a date night and loved everything! We felt so welcomed by David and the team and couldn’t have been more impressed with the food and service. We both had the pollo capri which was delicious. The menu had so many options which we will definitely be coming back to try. We have already booked in for next month we loved it that much! Thankyou so much for the delicious food and excellent service!

Visited for a small birthday celebration. The food was out of this world. Mushroom stuffed with pate starter outstanding. Steak with gorgonzola absolutely gorgeous and perfectly cooked. I will be back when back in the area

A nice evening, albeit slower than average service but this is a small kitchen and all freshly cooked to order. Parking not so ample outside

We had had a great Friday night birthday celebration, we all thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine, service and the entertainment! I loved the special touches too, the antipasta, the birthday cake and the lemoncello shot. We will be booking again for our next special night.

Enjoyed our meal Steak , others in party ,pizza , and felt the portion was a little small and left hungry . a small cosy place but felt when full would be a little much ..staff friendly would go again .

Lovely hidden gem. Smelt fantastic from outside, cosy and warm inside with a nice atmosphere and helpful, polite staff. Food was delicious and in good sized portions, full of flavour and chicken was very moist. Arrived promptly. Well priced and wonderful to have a great independent place locally. Will definetly return and support - I advise you give it a go!

Visited September 2nd 2023, drinks had to be returned to bar as Becks was undrinkable, pre orded food, had to request cutlery, starter crockery was still on table when mains arrived....well some mains never arrived!!!!! This place is over subscribed.... kitchen and staff unable to keep up with orders. Disappointed 😞

Top quality meals to suit every budget, can't really fault anything at all. As part of a group larger than they'd usually cater for, they coped very well and helped make my birthday meal special. Recommended.

The best little Italian, the food was delicious and full of flavour, the portions sizes were big and the service was lovely.

Popped in on the way through to another job and enjoyed it. Nice restaurant, nice staff and very good food but my only criticism, it was meant to be a chilli dish and I asked for more chilli as I love spicy food but it was anything but spicy ... And I love roasted veg however it was nearly all courgette with a few pepper slices and a couple of mushrooms and I'm not really a courgette fan. Shame as everything was very nice.

We went for my moms birthday we don't go out much but thought it would be a nice treat now the staff was fantastic 👌 but and here comes the but the pizza portion was tiny like a kids size I did ask if they was kids she said that's the generic size for all well it was tiny we have come home hungry the food was nice just not enough especially for the price so now comes the noise there was another party being hosted there a very large one and the noise with the music was to much for us the music was not needed I would advise to have giant partys at certain times as it did not make it enjoyable for us at all witch is really upsetting as we spent alot for kids portions and the noise now if it was just a simple meal out I wouldn't be so annoyed about the noise but it was my moms birthday we just feel a little sad about it I recommend not to go if u don't like loud racket! FYI don't order cola it's flat rola cola it was disgusting 😫

Never been here before. It's obviously the place to go to for large family get togethers as there was 40th, 50th and 60th birthday celebrations going on all at the same time. Beautifully cooked traditional Italian cuisine, delicious!!! But be warned!!! The portions are massive!!! 😄 Staff were sooooo attentive. Would highly recommend!!! Only downside was we didn't get to try the desserts as we were told they needed our table back by 8 😕

Went to E'lupos tonight, mother's day meal a day earlier due to work commitments. The food was beautiful and the staff were so polite and helpful especially with my 3 year old daughter, who they made a bespoke pasta dish for. The restaurant is very comfortable inside and smells beautiful as soon as you go in, most importantly my mother really enjoyed it. Will recommend and hope to visit again soon

Not a very good experience. First time of eating there with a large party of women. We were given a two hour slot to dine but were not given our pre ordered meals until one hour in. Didn’t have time for coffees. Meal was nothing special and salty. Menu is stuck in the 80’s. Waiting staff appeared inexperienced.

Big portions of tasty food. Reasonably priced for the quality.

This is mine and my wifes top place, we go every valentines, both our birthdays and of course our anniversary because we know the food sereved is better than 5⭐️ and we are garanteed to have a great time together. Out of 8 years of going together theres only ever been 1 problem and that was a gas fault on the pump for drinks but that was soon rectified WELL DONE ELUPO'S

Disable toilet which is a must for me being a wheelchair person . Lovely atmosphere, and a very clean place to be. Also got to be best steak I've ever had😋. Can't wait to visit again when I back in Rotherham. Footnote: a very good pint of Boddingtons😂🍻

Fabulous food lovely atmosphere

First time at E'Lupo's and the food and the service was excellent together with the warm atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant made it a really enjoyable evening.

Had an excellent meal at E'Lopo's last night. We went to celebrate family birthdays and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff was so obliging, welcoming and friendly, particularly with our 3 year old grandson. The food was well presented, well prepared and delicious without exception. The only down side was that there was no tiramisu as the had been a problem with delivery of ingredients but there were several delightful alternative options. Would definitely recommend. We have been here before and it never disappoints.

This seems a bad review but booked a table for two Friday night and was really looking forward to it but on arrival we found our table inbetween two large tables and felt very crammed in and whilst this is Christmas time didn't want to feel uncomfortable so we left. The staff were really nice and genuinely disappointed but we will return at a quieter time.

I went to E'Lupo's with my partner last night. Food was okay but not amazing. I was quite disappointed because I ordered Tagliatelle with smoked salmon and it was uneatable. Too much salt. I didn't say anything but I had to send the dish back. I don't think I will come back. My partner did enjoy his dish but his dish didn't have 5 kg of salt in it. A bit pricey for that quality. Not good. Staff was great, very polite and nice.

Very welcoming staff who made you feel at home. The service was first class as was the food, and reasonably priced.

The food is pretty nice but not authentic. Very cream laden. Real carbonara doesn't have cream as the basis of the sauce. Same with the tiramisu - not enough taste, too much cream between the layers.

Very disappointed in this place,had high expectations,but it failed to deliver.....food was ok at best .,..the place itself is a bit rough tbh as were the customers,plus the music was deafening .,not a place to take your partner for a romantic meal,KFC or bk would be better....sorry guys not for me...won't return

Excellent food & service. Nothing was too much trouble & everything double checked for my son who is coeliac.

They squeezed us in at very short notice so thank you for that. Sharing platter for starters was nice and good size. Pizza and pancakes were nice, nothing bad to report, but just nice. It's a small place and the proximity of the next table was far too close. We couldn't hear our own conversation which made it difficult to enjoy.

Carbonara had cream also smoked bacon and parmisan aso I was told which is not italian they use pecorino cheese and spaghetti water to make the sauce and either pigs cheek or panchetta that other than that the food was excellent and the staff was very good.

Good atmosphere,good food and friendly staff.
