Elmham Tea Post in Breckland

What a delightful cafe. We pulled into the car park and the aroma of omlet, bacon and coffee assailed our taste buds. The cafe was clean, kitchen busy and all tables inhabited. The buzz was gentle and welcoming. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. This is clearly a well supported and enjoyed establishment. I will be going back. Thank you for a great treat.

Welcoming staff, great home cooked food - roasted cauliflower soup and scone went down a treat! Dawdled over coffee then light lunch undisturbed. Thoroughly recommend.

Staying in North Elmham for a week, we walked here for Breakfast. We were not disappointed. An excellent full English with black pudding. My wife had poached eggs on mushrooms. Very friendly service, wonderful food.

Cannot fault the Tea Post, we’re often in for drinks and a choice of Cakes and Pastries Staff extremely friendly and efficient. In our opinion cannot be beaten.

Found this amazing cafe just down the road from our lodge We went for a lunch snack of baked potato with coronation chicken and coffee with homemade cakes , beautifully presented and so tasty, the cakes were amazing and so light We were so impressed we booked for afternoon tea the next day and this has to be on of the best we’ve tasted , fresh sandwich were awesome (Brie & chutney, homemade baked ham ) soft and delicious , followed by a light and fluffy homemade scone , fresh cakes, tiffin , macaroons and beautiful strawberries An afternoon tea that was absolutely satisfying You won’t be disappointed this is an amazing , friendly and chilled out cafe that’s definitely worth a visit

A real find, a little gem. Met a friend for lunch, decided on the beef and horseradish sandwiches which were delicious. Accompanied by crisps, green salad with a balsamic dressing and home made coleslaw. Herbal tea served in a filter pot. Charming staff, reasonably priced for excellent quality, we live 12 miles away and will be returning !

We were passing by chance and called in for a cuppa but ended up having breakfast! Mushrooms cooked in rosemary seasalt on gf toast was delicious. Hearty sausage and egg sandwich all served fresh and piping hot. Nice pot of tea and good coffee Staff friendly and polite.

Popped in for breakfast with the missus after a recommendation from a friend. Have to say the full English breakfast was probably the best I've ever had. Everything tasted amazing, not greasy at all like you get in some places! Staff were very welcoming and accommodating too. Will definitely be making regular visits. Hope to try the cheese steak sandwich soon, I've heard great things! This place is a real highlight.

We had afternoon tea in the tea post a couple of weeks ago and it was AMAZING! We are big eaters and we had to ask for a doggy bag to take some of it home. The staff were super friendly and welcoming as usual too.

This is an excellent cafe. Open at 9.00 so convenient, charming interior, helpful staff and good range of food. We like to visit often as part of our walks and bike rides in the area which is very pretty with the river Wensum nearby.

We popped in one weekday lunchtime as we had been promising ourselves a visit for some time. It's a small space with about 30 covers and a small-ish menu. We missed breakfast by 15 mins so went on the lunch menu. The black pudding stack sounded intriguing and will be sampled next visit.

We were on our way to the saxon cathedral and as we hadn't had breakfast stopped here for a coffee and check out the menu. What a surprise - there was a very good selection of food including full english breakfast and a vegetarian breakfast which my husband had and I had eggs arlington. Although I had never heard of this I was told it was muffin, poached eggs, smoked salmon and spinach topped with hollondaise. I love spinach for breakfast and was not disappointed in fact this was the best breakfast I've had for some time. I was also envious of my husband's vegetarian breakfast which consisted of mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns, beans, eggs and yes spinach. Lovely coffee also. Shame I live in the south and this is in Norfolk as I would eat here every day. Breakfast made perfect by the sight of a chicken wandering around the garden over the road.

This was my second visit to the tea room. Today we came for lunch. I had the cheese and ham ploughman’s which was excellent value. The presentation was great and the ham was thick cut and succulent. There were 3 good sized pieces of cheese as well as chutney and a warm ciabatta roll. You get a very big portion so unfortunately I didn’t have room for cake. I had cake on my last visit and told the owner how good they were to which he informed me they are all homemade on site by one of the workers.

Visited the Tea Post for the first time at the beginning of 2019. Considering we only live down the road, I cannot believe we had not been before as it is the best! Have visited a number of times since for lunch and tea and cake. Will be visiting for breakfast soon! Great service, lovely people and amazing cakes!

Great venue, great atmosphere,great staff, great service and great afternoon tea. Sausage rolls, cheese straws, scones with jam and cream, good selection of sandwiches and fantastic selection of homemade cakes. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon with friends for a natter.

We searched for a tea room near to a village we were visiting and found details about this one on Trip Advisor.

The fact that I have been here 3 times this week says it all! I have lived in Swanton Morley for 4 years and didn't know about this lovely tea shop/cafe until last week. After reading the excellent reviews I was keen to try it out. Last week I had the chicken and haloumi salad bowl with a brownie and today I had the best ploughman's plate that was loaded with a variety of deliciousness. I then had a bakewell slice and my friend had the orange chocolate cake which was moist and gooey. She had the Welsh rarebit also. It was all delicious. At the weekend I came here with my hubby for brunch and had the best breakfast ever. Eggs Arlington omg my mouth is watering just thinking about it. He had the full English. Portion sizes are generous, espresso coffees are delicious. Servers all very friendly. Delicious fresh home cooked food and I love supporting local businesses and will be telling all my friends to go here. This is my new go to place. Keep up the good work. Just called in for coffee, which was superb. Next time I'll definitely have something to eat, the food looked really excellent. The tearoom was very comfortable and well furnished, with its own carpark alongside.

Popped in here the other today for a pot of tea and some lemon cake, both of which were delicious. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere, with some beautiful photographs for sale too. The staff were very warm and friendly and really made me feel welcome.

A wonderful tea room between Guist and Dereham perfect for lunch or coffee and cake. Fantastic choice of lunches and always something tasty on the specials board. I'm always spoilt for choice! Would recommend for everyone to go and try.....the cakes are amazing!
