Ellendune Centre Chinese Takeaway in Hart

I’m sorry to say that over the last year or so the food has gone down hill. It used to be really nice but then something changed and the fried rice tasted bland and the food was over cooked. The final straw was when I found a hair in my chilli shredded beef, it just put me right off. I called them to complain and I asked if they wear hair nets in the kitchen and they said no and said sorry and thanks for letting them know. That was it! Sad to say we won’t be eating there again until it gets better.

Awful food , partner asked for extra sauce when ordered and got it back home and hardly any sauce in it, could not eat it . Shop offered me another sauce next time I go in , TRUST ME I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING. Portion was so small as well Do yourself a favour and stay clear of this restaurant If I could give them 0 stars I would

The only thing that is good is the cost which is fairly low. Unfortunately this is probably a warning that the food will be poor, which it certainly is. The chow mein is dry and does not have any sauce on it. Meat is rubbery. Chips are tasteless and reheated. Curry is inedible. Should have been warned by the fact that food was cooked and ready in 5 minutes. Won't be ordering from here again.

Great Chinese food, pleasant staff, positive atmosphere. Great keen prices. HEARTILY recommend it. Phone ordering was easy.

My wife and I have been going to this place for a few times, and I must say the food are excellent. I usually have the Singapore vermicelli, king dul ribs and chicken satay on skewers. We are planning for a takeaway again tomorrow as all visits been excellent and consistent. Thank you Ellendune Takeaway

I have used this Chinese several times and its been great however the last twice have been really disappointing. I ordered sweet & sour hong kong style the chicken was dry and chewy with literally few bits of pineapple and red pepper... not sure whats happened or why the food seems to have dropped in quality but two consecutive poor meals means I wont be ordering from here again

Ordered my food went to pay by card, old women snatched the card out of my hand and shoved it in machine, didn’t give me option to pay contactless (which I wanted to and have done there before) told Her i wanted to use contactless and she said “No you pay now”. So gave her cash. We use this Chinese regularly but given the attitude of her will consider going somewhere else. Was extremely rude to me, needs to remember to treat customers a bit better considering we keep the business open!

I genuinely can't understand some of these glowing reviews. It was edible, but that's it and very good value. But it was just so BLAND! Lemon chicken lacked zest. Chicken and mushrooms was pretty tasteless - had to add our own salt and pepper. The beansprouts with spring onions were supposed to be cooked with garlic but I didn't taste that at all. Definitely won't be ordering from there again which is a shame as it's our local.

Really wish these people would open up to delivery, considering the food is actually good. They’d be the only Chinese delivery in my area too so they’re missing out on an exclusive customer area, but I guess I’ll have to take my custom into Swindon as is more accessible. Shame...

I’m sure this place has been taken over by new owners. Absolutely shocking service. Visited last night (Saturday ) at 6pm, there was a queue out of the door and the lady made us all wait while she answered the phone.She was then shouting at the staff in the back and was quite rude to people. Waited an hour for the food. I will not be visiting here again. Due to the fact of how the service is and the rudeness of the lady behind the counter. Food was average not the best. We have been coming here for 8 years and from now on will take my custom elsewhere.

I visited here while I was in the area on a training course. It was conveniently located en route back to my hotel. My favourite Chinese takeaway is my local back home, which is consistently good and I tend to compare others to this. As with many other similar takeaways, the decor may not be considered modern as they are based on Chinese traditions. For me, so long as it is clean gives me some confidence that maybe the kitchen is clean too. The place looked well kept and the food was very nice though I would score my local half a point more for their crispy chips. Overall I would recommend it as very good quality.

I visited this Chinese after finishing work late on a Friday night. The lady behind the desk was blunt and rude, despite being open for another 30 minutes. The Salt and Chilli chicken was well seasoned but over cooked making the chicken tough and dry. The Beef with Green Peppers lacked flavour and meat was disgusting. I left most of these dishes and won't be returning.

Fantastic food very welcoming and greeting the food I give for this Chinese is 100% the best.nothings to much and service very good and the food is very hot so when you get home it's still nice and hot .

I use this takeaway frequently food quality good and worthwhile, the shop is tired though is looking tired and needs some attention from a customers prospective especially the seating.... authentic menu and recipes, decent portion sizes.. value for money!

My regular takeaway..they are always happy, always busy. Food always piping hot. I always call up first, and always ready when I get there...sometimes they give you a bag of prawn crackers.

The food here is good, great service and good value for money. The spicy salt garlic chicken is a regular choice for us. The takeaways is easy to get to and has plenty of parking.

The Ellendune Chinese takeaway is located in the middle of Wroughton and has a car a couple of good sized car parks next to it, so it is easy to park and pick up a takeaway. The food is typical British Chinese. The prices are cheap and the food is very nice. Based on the food quality, price and location, I would recommend Ellendune. Also, importantly, they have a high (5) scores on the doors rating.

This is our go to Chinese for take out. Order is always ready and correct, food is great and nice and hot. Average price compared to other take aways - what more could you ask for a take away.

Love the salted spare ribs and Chinese prawn curry but have tried many of their dishes and have never been disappointed.

I've tried a few Chinese takeaways in Swindon and this is the best I've come across so far. Good menu, generous and tasty food, which is always hot. Very popular with locals and always busy. Note that they don't deliver but take telephone orders so you can collect. As its so popular, order early on Fri/Sat night as the wait can be up to an hour. Average wait time is only 15 minutes rest of the time.Overall fab Chinese food!

Found this takeaway on trip advisor after a string on disappointing Chinese takeaways in the Swindon area. Busy with locals awaiting pickups (always a good sign), and was rewarded for the punt when I got home. Tasty, fresh Chinese!

This little gem of a takeaway is in the village next to mine. I've been going there ever since I moved to the village in 1998. It only ocurred to me recently that I ought to tell somebody how good they actually are. It's a small, family run business and I believe they have another takeaway in a different part of the town.The prices are EXTREMELY good and I've always been delighted with the quality of their food. I can get chicken chinese style.. egg fried rice and fried mixed vegetables in satay sauce for £12.00.. and that will feed three of us. A lovely chinese meal for just over the price of a pint?.. Now that is what you call value for money!Add to that friendly, happy staff and you have a recipe for complete customer satisfaction!!Long may they prosper!!
