Elizza lounge and bar in Uttlesford

Was struggling to find somewhere to eat lunch that wasn’t a coffee shop as we were leaving we drove past this restaurant and pulled over to go in and we was not disappointed. We went for the set lunch as we had a pre-booked dinner in the evening great choices and the meal sizes were more than enough waiter was amazing and looked after us from start to finish. Food was cooked fresh and an amazing quality and standard. Coffee to finish was also amazing if we are ever this way again we would definitely return. Thank you for looking after us and making our lunch very special .

Amazing experience. Thank you so much! We came to celebrate our anniversary and we were so pleased with everything. Service was great, especially from Ayaz who served us and made some of the best cocktails both of us have ever had! Food was great too!

My sister and I took our Mum for lunch after a visit to Audley End. We hadn’t booked but we were immediately made to feel welcome. Interior is decorated and set out nicely. Food was good value from the lunch menu and what we had was very tasty. Waiters were very hospitable, friendly and we had a lovely chat with them in between courses. We couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Would definitely return if back in the area.

Wide range of quality food options, very well presented in a well decorated and furnished restuarant. Range of good quality wines, a limited range of beer options and wine by the glass. Attentive, friendly but professional staff. Good prices and a tasty meal. Fillet steak was great. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

A nice restaurant. We just had a quick lunch and the food was good. Main let down for us was that they were unable to make a smaller size of a dish (clam linguine) for my 6 yr old who adores clams. This was despite it being cooked fresh and 2 others were also ordering it. Shouldn’t be hard to do!! But we would go back.

What a lovely place. Great menu with something for everyone including a children’s menu. Staff were so welcome and made such a fuss of our Daughter. Food was beautiful, clearly freshly made to order and so tasty. Can’t wait to come back. I understand the restaurant has recently been refurbished and the decor is beautiful, this just added to a great experience.

Food was nice HOWEVER, Upon going for a smoke, one of the waiters came out to me and my friend to say that we need to pay the bill in case we leave without paying … Bare in mind my friend left her bag at our table and my drink was full. We even told this waiter that we are just popping outside and will be returning. NEVER have we had a waiter follow us out and ask as to pay the bill before we even finished.

First time I have visited since the rebranding. Not disappointed. The menu is extensive with something for everyone. Food was served quickly and with a smile. The food was absolutely delicious! We all loved the atmosphere and buzz in the establishment. Recommended

The cocktails are delicious. Tried some new food and it was delicious too. Desert wasn’t the best (tiramisu was bland, in my opinion). Decor was nice and the staff friendly.

I went with my family for lunch on Christmas Eve. I was slightly cautious given there were 7 of us and I had not been before, however, I should not have worried. From the service to the atmosphere to the food, we couldn't fault anything! Even though it was busy, it was so calm, the waiters and staff were so amazing, incredibly friendly and helpful. The food all arrived at the same time, piping hot and amazing! We all had different options for starters and mains from Fish to Chicken to Lamb to pasta and there were empty plates all around. It was such a welcoming and lovely lunch and my husband and I who live locally cannot wait to go back, thanks to you all for starting our Christmas celebrations off so well!

The staff were attentive and friendly! Ordered halloumi for starters which arrived cold . The garlic mushrooms were really lovely but served with the tiniest piece of bread. The main was monkfish which was cooked really well but we needed to eat when we got home. Have sent the restaurant an email but they did not reply sadly!

The food was delicious and the surroundings lovely. The service was wonderful and a special thank you to Tony who served us. Highly recommend.

The 6 of us had a great experience at this restaurant. Our waiter Tony was so attentive and helpful. He was fun and entertaining. He made the experience very enjoyable. The food was excelent.

Had a really good time with friends. Great food, service and company. Tony the waiter worked hard to look after us. And the other staff and manager were really friendly and efficient. Will definitely return. Very nice environment to spend time in.

Really lovely family late lunch on a cold winters afternoon in this lovely restaurant. Great service by Tony - thank you! All of us really enjoyed our meals. Starter faves were humous, meatballs, mozzarella Milanese, feta & spinach pastries. Mains were a tasty lasagne, chicken...

Tony was a great and was friendly and helpful. The food was fab , I a vege so it was great. We will be back

Great food, good size portions, lovely atmosphere, reasonably priced and brilliant service (Tony and others). Our children also loved their food. I hope Elizza is here for many years to come. We will be back.

Had lunch here today with some girlfriends, we all choose different dishes, would rate each one very positively. The staff (our waiter, Tony) were very friendly and efficient, the restaurant has a bright and stylish ambiance, would definatley recommend.

My wife and I found this lovely cosy restaurant was the perfect place for an excellent lunch/dinner. The friendly service was second to none and attentive to detail. We ordered Mussels, Creamy Garlic Mushrooms for starters and things got even better with the main courses...

Very attentive staff an very welcoming by the owner , nothing too much trouble an the food well you could try but you couldn't fault it infact it exceeded expectations an had the wow factor
