Elif in Liverpool

Meat was really soft and tender. I just didn't like the rice.The rice was a little hard and needed more cook and was not fragrant.

I ordered 1 Ali Nazik + 1 Kebab for 55 pounds The food is excellent

We have been customers here for several years'But we didn't come here for a year because of the previous manager..Now you have the best team. Because customer service and ethics come first.Please keep this team. Yesterday was my 5-year-old daughter's birthday. 10 out of 10 in my opinion. From food, drinks to service, everything was flawless. No wonder why it is busy, even during the work day. Make sure you reserve the table ahead of time.

Had a minor problem with our order but the staff went all out and were very lovely about it, would highly recommend if you want some magnificent food :)

I visited after making a reservation. It would be best to make a reservation in advance to avoid waiting. Two people ordered Karisik (2 people). The amount is really huge. There is a lot of rice underneath the meat. The meat is, of course, delicious, and the rice is slightly buttery, so it's soft and goes well with the meat. The owner kept guiding people at the entrance, but it was quite scary. Still, all the staff are friendly.

The brilliance of Elif is well known. The place is never not full. The garlic sauce, freshly baked Turkish bread and sweet-sour-tangy salad to start off with. Then you take some mezze to continue the awesomeness. Later, you dive into the world of kebabs that are grilled yet not charred, feels sun-baked on the outside and succulent on the inside; just a pure delight. Compliment these with Ayran. If you still have some space maybe finish off with baklava. We had an amazing time over there recently and Elif as always never cease to amaze us with their consistency in food quality and service.

Third Edit: Despite a bad experience wiith someone of the staff months ago, I have been back. And I am so glad it's back to it's usual self. Great place, great food and the service is perfect. One of the Liverpool's must-go restaurants at a great price.

The food is ok. The service is good, but if you are going to go there, it is good to make a reservation in advance, otherwise there is a queue especially on weekends.

Omg, best mixed kebab ever had in this country. Warm welcoming and cosy place. The size of the portions are really good. Everything tasted perfect. Tried to finish our sharing platter but it was too much. Helpful and friendly staff. Thank you for an amazing lunch. We'll visit u again when I'm in Liverpool

Great service, Toilets were clean Halal food The few issues were the selection of soft drinks was limited for non alcoholic customers, no parking. But other than that the food was great! Loved the grilled chicken all white meat perfectly grilled.

Elif was my favourite Turkish restaurant. However they refused me service as I was intending to eat alone. It wasn't even a busy evening. This misguided, greedy and narrow-minded policy deserves less than 1 Star.

Best Turkish meal ever in Liverpool, meat grilled so well and piping hot, most meal comes with a side rice and grilled vegies. The bar staff are also so good different varieties of drinks, cocktails, and cocktails. Try the Apple Tea Be ready to wait up to half outside on the queue, it's like a hunt games to get in there.

Went for lunch with daughter and 2 year old grandson. It was the two corse meal an asked if we’d be finished in an hour 15 minutes. Taken to the back room which was quiet. Only one other person in there and two staff who were also eating. All tables next to us empty but yet watched them move a guy from a table after he finished his food but still had a pint to another table to sit a family there. Our food was brought out to us very quickly an although were still eating our starters our mains were brought out to us standing over us with plates, It felt very rushed. Then before we even finished our main, they started brushing the floors under our table and place fresh plates next to us as if to say ‘we need this table back’ an we was within the time they asked us. Refused to pay service charge as we found this really bad. Never going there again although sister elifs were excellent. Bold street No No they literally throw your food at you to get you in an out. Food 8/10

When a restaurant is this good you can’t not write a review. Delicious food, well cooked and simply served, my photo doesn’t do it justice. Great service and lively atmosphere (it was Saturday after all). Be prepared to queue but definitely worth the wait. We will be returning here.

Too noisy....too much pre prepared oily salad....too little meat regarding sized portions....too squashed regarding tables close together .....too overpriced ...too much hype....

The roast was very good very Turkish and the two sauces were very sour and the roast lamb chops and the lamb were very tasty very juicy and the rice on the side was very good the best rice I've ever had in the UK anyway it was a very good experience I would recommend to others

We were walking past in the afternoon and it looked great. Nice atmosphere inside so we checked out the menu . . Then went in to book. We had our evening meal there. Fantastic service 👏 so lovely and we immediately felt the pride the staff have in their restaurant. Our food was delicious ! We had the 4 meze platter which was amazing and so much food ! We couldn't eat all of the bread but we did polish off the salad. The lamb was stunning. The garlic mushrooms were heavenly. We are definitely going back !

Elif is one of the highest rated restaurants in liverpool for a reason. The quality of meat and how it is cooked is outstanding

Ordered the mixed and requested that the original chicken be changed to thighs, i was then charged £20 extra and had the original chicken removed from teh dish, i requested thw bill to be changed but the staff clearly didnt understand the original request and i left unhappy i paid the original bill as it was becoming embarrassing to spend any further time to explain, one of the staff members agreed with me but wasn't enough and likely she will end up getting in trouble over that. been going to elif in lark lane for years and decided to try the town one, not a good example of a franchise as the lark lane restaurant is no1 as never has that ever happened in that restaurant.

Didn’t even get through the front door! Waited outside for 30+ minutes in the freezing cold for the woman on the front door just letting her friends in before us, told the guy who looked like he had authority he just shrugged his shoulders we won’t be going back again, great customer service from Elif! 👏🏻

The value for money and quality is outstanding. We walked out full and satisfied. The staff are friendly, amazing service and the atmosphere is great. Comprehensive gluten free options. People lining out the door waiting to get in. If I lived in Liverpool I would be a regular.

I was extremely impressed with this restaurant during my visit yesterday afternoon. Went in with my nanna who had been there before. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in liverpool, the food was far beyond my expectations :) Seats were comfy, table very clean, and atmosphere in the restaurant was great but quite loud. The open kitchen was good to look at and all the food looked great when it was being cooked on the grill. Toilets are good and are situated at the back of the restaurant. We had the lunch menu at 14.95 for 2 courses which was amazing value for money. My nanna had her usual liver to start with a chicken and lamb main. The liver and chicken were so good. Some of the tastiest chicken I have ever eaten. I myself had the grilled aubergine starter and vegetable moussaka. Our starter came accompanied by the some of the tastiest homemade bread I have ever eaten. Similar to focaccia. And the mains came accompanied by a tasty salad and dressing with carrots, cabbage, cucumber, tomatoes and lettuce. It was definitely a 5/5 dining experience but nothing is ever perfect. The initial greeter seemed a bit disinterested and I wouldn't want to be sat at the back 2 tables if I was a customer as they are situated extremely close to the toilets. But apart from that can't speak highly enough of this restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy Turkish or grilled food and you are in the area. Highly recommend :)

We ordered mixed kebab and Ali Nazik. Except for adana everything was delicious. After dinner, we ordered Turkish tea. Tea wasn’t good and they charged us for tea. As a result, tasty but pricy.

A friend and I went for the lunchtime special menu of 2 courses for £14.95 and was very impressed. I had the Borek and my friend had the Kalamar, off to a great start despite the restaurant being extremely busy both were served in no time at all. Next up for mains I had the Iskender and my friend the Sea Bass, while we waited a lovely complimentary salad (the dressing was amazing!) was brought to the table to nibble on, but again we waited no time at all for our mains to arrive. Both were very generous portions, do be warned though the Sea Bass does come whole - head, tail and bones. The staff were very attentive and friendly without being overbearing and had great knowledge of the menu and each dishes ingredients and origins, nothing was too much trouble. It was a great experience and will definitely go again!

Elif Bold Street is the best out of all of Elif restaurants. All aspects of it blows the rest out of the water. Food is excellent value for money (£14.95 for 2 courses from 11am -5pm. I had sea bass for main and that is £20 after 5pm!! Wine extra). Staff are beyond hospitable, even tho it was very busy they didnt stress. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon

Every time I pass this place it's always busy. Eventually got the opportunity to try it out. Wasn't too sure what to order as they have a open kitchen with BBQ going on. The couple next to us had this massive mountain of food, looked great, so we decided to go with that too. We ordered the Karisik, a mixed meat platter on a bed of rice. Great choice it was too, very tasty, especially the lamb ribs, well seasoned. Seems to be a very popular choice as the kitchen churned out several platters. Overall, fabulous couldn't fault it. Highly recommend and definitely will be returning.

Elif's bustling dining room, often crowded due to its popularity, along with closely arranged tables, hardly offers a subdued dining experience. The staff, though quick and efficient, may not come across as particularly courteous or graceful. It's not uncommon to have burly, boisterous waiters occasionally yelling at each other or bumping into you or your table during your meal. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that Elif stands out as the finest Turkish barbecue restaurant in Liverpool, one that continually draws me back. The quality of the meat is outstanding, expertly seasoned and perfectly charred. The generous portions and diverse menu offer an opportunity to try something new and delightful at each visit. I highly recommend the lamb chops or, for a more comprehensive experience, the Karisik for two, showcasing Elif's exceptional barbecue skills. Will definitely visit again!

Best Turkish in the city centre of Liverpool! Massive portions and the lunch menu is great value for money. The salads, breads and dips they serve before your actual order really sets the standard and I've never had a bad experience here (I've been here at least 10 times). It can get very busy so call ahead if possible.

Service was superb and food was amazing. Everything from lamb chops to chicken skewers and the shrimp guvec, Sucuk (Turkish sausage) was excellent. Definitely worth your time and money.

Go North London to a Turkish restaurant and they will never charge you for bread and salad, this is the most stupid Kurdish restaurant I been at and I am Turkish myself, save your money and go somewhere else....

OmG! Fantastic food at a brilliant price! Excellent service ...best I have had for ages! Have the feta salad starter...loads of olives and cheese...mixed kebab was so full of delicious meat ..couldn't help myself and eat the lot. Bread and dips were fab too. Can't wait to return .
