Big pink elephant with a castle on its back. I'm sure there's a story to that name, but I prefer the mystery.

I have to say if you have a heavy suitcase, then DONT come. there is no elevator and convenient facilities for luggages. I cant understand,a train station, dont realize travellers may come with suitcases. Also the elephant & castle underground station also lack of convenient facilities.

My 4 stars are more for the helpful staff in the ticket office itself than the actual station. Anytime I've bought a ticket the staff there have been really informative and helped me find the best option. The station needs some tlc and there are a lot of stairs. It could really do with a lift or two. Maybe thay will come with the new building works going on.

Their new E&C Square bit with the temporary units look really nice. Its a shame they can't be a permanent fixture cos the wooden structures being a sense of calm and are a good look aesthetically. Area was clean, people are friendly and it's dreamt easily accessible to buses and the tube. Was in real shock to see the old shopping centre knocked down though. I'll be watching that space

Elephant & Castle station is not a London usual train station. Just bit confused.com kinda designed. U have to find out different stairs for all different platforms. Thanks God they demolished the horrible shopping mall which always confused commuters. Station building itself is bit ugly by design, no paint for long time, finding the Card reader. This is main station at the boundary of zone 1 & 2 but no barriers. A lot of druggy crowd which didn’t make u feel safe. Even the service from this station is good. The whole area around station is new built as Morden city 2022 but sad station is same 1960 style. Btw I have travelled many times from this station but didn’t see any staff member yet which is strange 😳

Large 4 platform station serving destinations on Thameslink and other south London services. This station is not accessibly friendly at all, there are A LOT of steep stairs and it's often very busy, if you can change somewhere else nearby it's often easier than it is here. The station is run down looking, but generally it's safe, there's a ticket office, LED display boards, help points, and the view of St Pauls from the platform is unusual if you're a photographer.

I was accompanying my nervous mum to Luton airport and ended up buying tickets from the Elephant & Castle rail station's ticket office. The customer service of the gentleman who helped us was great, offering quicker alternatives as the one we planned and even suggesting to wait before actually going to the platform since this particular service tends to often change platforms last minute. It changed indeed just under three min before schedule departure, and his advice saved me a travel up and down the stairs with a rather heavy suitcase. Happy customer!

My favorite "Elephant and Castle". A major stop over the Northen line, Bakerloo line and National real ...the Cross at the end of the second zone in London. There are buses that go all the way to the city. The large shopping center, where the train station is located, offers everything you need at low prices, there is also a toilet that is convenient to use. Near all entrances and exits there are benches where you can sit for a short rest and enjoy the view, wonderful, and you see in the pictures how beautiful a night is. I recommend everyone! 5 stars!

Station feels incredibly run down, even with four platforms and a ticket office. Trains are prone to overcrowding due to the coach formations and it's a bit of a walk to reach the buses and the tube. The station also lacks step free access to the platforms and has no ticket barriers.

Elephant & Castle is situated in the Elephant & Castle section of London, this station is used by two major national rail corporations Thameslink one of my favourite national rail operators, and Sotheastern trains. Elephant & Castle is a clean and well maintained station, it's used during rush hour often, Thameslink trains come often during peak hours and Southeastern trains are great as well, I would say it's a great station.

No step free access waiting area and toilets closed for some time due to water leak. Local skanks having to use toilets in shopping centre and jump over barrier to get in which they have been doing for years anyway. When ticket inspectors operate at station always entertaining to count how many people travelled without a ticket, normally in double figures for just 1 train.

The Elephant as locally known, consists of major traffic junctions including the A2 (New Kent Rd.) And is connected by a short section of road called Elephant and Castle, part of the A3. The Stations are a bit run down . Some interesting restaurants under the arches.

1 star to both the station and the signposts to the station. I got lost so many times I know make sure to be there at least 10 minutes before the train departure just because I know what it will happen. So confusing. 1st floor, ground floor.... still don't remember.

Good connections to both South and North London from this station. It's a shame that it only has Thameslink though as it doesn't offer the most reliable services. There are good transport connections from this station such as busses and underground (Northern & Bakerloo Lines). There are two entrances - once of which takes you through the shopping mall. The latter being the best entrance/exit in which to use to get to the underground and bus connections.

Horrible station which spits you out into a shopping centre which feels like everything that's worst about the 1970s and probably hasn't had a coat of paint since then. Don't be fooled by the name: it doesn't connect with Elephant and Castle tube station.

With major roadworks now finished & getting rid of the very big confusing roundabouts & underground walkways replacing them with safer ways to get & from the shopping centre is one step closer to improvement & with the Brand new high rise building's being built adding to the Skyline of London still along way to go before it is finished. some of my favourite Restaurants are here. Chinese South American & Polish & Indian a good place to stop & eat before a night out or tourist visit to nearby Imperial War Museum & short bus ride to Big Ben London Eye & many more of London Attractions ect.

They NEVER have the filter coffee despite many advertising boards saying "Filter coffee is back". The thing is all of the other branch will offer you filter replacement at it's price but this store does not. Remove it from your product list if you never have it!

Swift service. Food as with all Prets - decent. It’s a great location, but for the love of god, they have got to stop playing the inane no-name, almost-alt pop music. I love music of all kinds. I’m not even old. But you can’t think or enjoy the atmosphere over the supermarket playlist. Please.

The staff here are very good and work hard. £1.99 is too cheap for a good pint of real ale. Lowering the price to drive sales isn't a good idea. People who drink lager are rarely going to buy ales just because they are cheaper. But real ale drinkers are happy to pay more if it's good quality.
