Electrik Bar in Manchester

Sunday Lunch is amazing! This was already a friendly bar with a nice selection of beers but the recently introduced Sunday Lunch menu is a game-changer. We had the Beef Goulash - absolutely outstanding - best food we’ve eaten in ages. So tasty. The traditional roasts are good too with muscle big Yorkshire Puds. All with attentive, friendly service. Highly Recommended.

Great Sunday lunch here. Good portions, flavoursome and lots of delicious gravy! I will definitely return.

Terrible roast. Meat was really tough and gravy seemed shop bought. Pretty tasteless. Also my beer was flat

I usually avoid elektrik because it's so loud, but the volume was good tonight. I could actually speak to my friends without shouting, which kind of fits the dark atmosphere of the bar better in my opinion.

Empty bar was "full" at 12. Please can you advertise the correct opening times?

I came here for a drinks social and had a great time. There was a nice atmosphere and the staff were great.

We came for the happy hour £5 cocktails (until 7.30) and Quingo (Tues from 7.30ish - quiz and bingo). Great place, cool vibe, great spressy marts. Bar service is really quick. The quiz itself is really accessible and fun with loads of opportunities for prizes!

I’m a very happy customer. I did unfortunately miss happy hour for the Guinness which I have been assured is not a thing, but I felt that it must have been, however the staff corrected me (politely) and were incredibly friendly. I must say that since I originally considered leaving this review - due to the high quality level of service - I have frequented several times - and each of the staff members is more personable than I could have ever have been led to believe and the Sunday night Dj set was - how they say - popping off. The DJ shared the name of the record he was playing, which you wouldn’t get at a northern soul do. All a white label affair at those do’s. I must salute the tattooed woman whom I believe may have been pregnant from my psychic intuition. She was incredibly helpful and pointed me to a happy hour beer that she thought I may enjoy. I must attest, I did! She was a frightfully engaging conversationalist, but she wasn’t afraid to apologise to me when she had to serve her valued customers. Thanks for the memories.

Parmos are on another level. If you’ve never tried one, do it. Being from the north east I’ve eaten a few parmos in my time, and this was definitely up there. You’ll never look back.

The music and vibe were great but unfortunately the bar staff (sorry to describe but lady with tattoos) were very unwelcoming and unpleasant at the bar. On phone when supposed to be serving and generally v unpleasant at bar! Maybe a bad day? Shame because the rest of the experience was great!

Fantastic Parmo's of various kinds, good value and filling. They always have a Deya on which is one of my favourite of the craft breweries, on this visit they had 2 from Deya. But there is a wide choice of drinks and cocktails. My new favourite Chorlton drinking place.

I think this is a great bar- nice atmospheric lighting, good music but not too loud, good selection of drinks at a reasonable price, nice crowd and mix of people, friendly staff. I was visiting from London for the weekend and went twice.

A great bar with some brilliant beers and always a good fall back option for when that super 'proactive' barman at Dulcimer refuses to serve you!

27/06/23: been here a few times over the years, but seem to have not left a review. Great selection on craft ale, although we did have a poor pint, as it was off. Took it back, tasted, agreed and replenished with a different one. Great service. Dog friendly!

Not been in for ages, not very inviting with its dark interior...there were hardly any people in there but it was really hot outside so not a good day for indoor drinking. It's ok

Great service, good range of beers, cocktails and 'specials'. Became a little loud as it filled up.

Bar staff were so hostile, as we walked in one of the female bar staff handed us the menu saying: “you’ve got 1 minute to order”. Then after about half an hour, they didn’t even let us or anyone else in the bar finish our drinks and shooed us out the door saying: “make your way to the door”. They had a needlessly miserable and passive aggressive attitude. Something quite funny as well is that when my friend asked if she could grab a magazine which was free, the male bartender gave her a look of hesitation as if he had to think about the answer. Like he didn’t want to let her have it. If you hate people perhaps don’t work in a bar.

Nice hand pulled beer - limited choice but low prices. Personally I didn't like the pizzas.I Iike thin and crispy. These are like cake. I'm not even sure they are pizza. Beer good, so called 'pizza' not good

I don't think Electrik matches the culture of the other ventures like Volta or freight. However they have a good selection of drinks, nice staff, and interesting events

Having given a poor review of my once favourite bar a few months previously, it’s only fair that I come back now that many of my previous concerns and gripes have been addressed Having been treated like a ginger stepchild by the ownership for a few years, they have finally remembered their roots and shown the place some long overdue love Artwork and DJs are back, including the always interesting monthly one deck sessions Quingo on a Tuesday is always good fun The staff have always been and remain the greatest asset. Friendly fast and effortlessly competent. Sound people Prices are dearer than most locally. A post work happy hour would be a bonus with a cost of living crisis upon us Generally though, it’s getting its mojo back. And I’m delighted ti see it. Well done all and keep it up. Now just sort out the wooden flooring in the street frontage beer garden, it is knackered and a lawsuit waiting to happen!

Came here with my husband and daughter we got the mushroom pizza, the florentine and a side of tots it was amazing, also nice drinks, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff would definitely recommend it. Will be coming back on our next visit to Manchester.

They now only serve pizza. The pizza it self had no flavour, and you didn’t even get free ketchup or mayo for the fries . How can you get pizza so wrong. Such a shame, they used to do a cracking Sunday roast, and now they serve only flavourless pizza. Would not recommend.

Manchester stalwart and Chorlton favourite, Electrik is great place for beers and music. A good selection of different drinks and real character.

Do not take cash which I find is not ideal for everyone.

Nice steady bar of Chorlton. Wide range of good beer, all sorts of people, not super pricey. Personally I find it's much nicer early on; the later it is, the more it's a dancey struggle nightmare.

Once upon a time it was probably the best place in Chorlton. Good food, interesting beers, inspired entertainment and weekend DJ bookings and regularly changing art exhibitions. Sadly, the ownership seem to have all but abandoned the place that launched it all for them in favour of their newer, more glitzy and presumably more lucrative venues. There have been quite a few occasions when they have either not opened or closed early in order to send their staff down the road to the Hilary Step which presumably makes more money for them. No DJs, no one deck Wednesdays and while Quingo on a Tuesday still draws a decent crowd, the whole place has a bit of a tired air about it nowadays. I believe the term is ‘managed decline’. Drinks can be very expensive compared to many neighbourhood rivals. Saving grace is the staff who are a nice and friendly bunch and doing their very best in the circumstances. And the regulars are mainly sound. Come on fellas. Sort it out and remember where you come from

If it ain't broke...or so the saying goes. Really disappointed with the pizza, actually I don't think it was pizza. After many a good night out with the family our 1st return to Electrik post lockers was such a disappointment. Good luck, I hope you can turn it around. No giro/fourside pun intended. Gutted to have lost our friday night, We even had a song for the place. That won't be getting sung any time soon.

A good place to meet for a drink. However, if you only do one thing on the food menu (pizza) then it should be great. It isn't!

In normal times this is the bar in Chorlton that has the most diverse buzz. Open late, good tunes, decent beer. Post COVID, with table service, its a bit quiet and flat. I'm sure it'll be back on form soon though 😊

Great bar! I didn't realise but all the food is vegan and it was fabulous! Pizza was just as good as Ramona in town as well as the tater tots!

First night out (inside) post lockdown easing. Nice crowd and the staff were friendly. Good choice of beers and nice atmosphere. Had a couple of shindiggers and back home. Youngish crowd but as a couple of oldies we didn't feel out of place. I would definitely go back. Their covid stuff was done well and in a relaxed way.

It's a centrally located bar which has been decorated quite nicely. Good selection of beers, though I'm not sure about other types of drinks. Also serves Sunday roasts which personally I don't rate but others seem to love. Also has a smoking area at the back of bar which is shelter and provides electric heating. The staff are pleasant as well.

Drink in here alot as its one of my favroutie bars. Decided to nip in for Pizza last Friday. They are doing there famous pizza Giro every Night at the moment and for only £5 per person. Because of covid they just bring you a board out with what flavours you want on there and if you want more they just bring it out. We had one to start but still felt a little hungry so asked for a small 2nd one, the chef must have forgot and another large one came out. We couldn't finish it but the lovely waitress said take the rest home. The pizza is so good with proper Italian ingredients. Service is good and always friendly. You must go try this deal it's such good value. The beers on tap are good too.

Closed when it said it would be open and frankly thinks more of itself than it is...dull!

Had the giro special,pizza was lovely fresh hot,some lovely choices,but my favourite was black gold,and the pepperoni slice,thin crisp tasty.and the staff are very nice as well 😁

Great service and tasty Sunday Roast. Only criticisms are that the veggie gravy could be thicker and so could the sauce on the cauliflower cheese. Would definitely recommend a visit!

I went for a Sunday roast which we was looking forward too I had the pork which came with no stuffing or crackling and just two small slices not as advertised on the menu portions are way to small my friend had the beef it was too undercooked for them to enjoy it came with three small roast potatoes which are quite tasty the mashed potato was way too watery and we only had spoonful which hidden underneath parsnips not worth the £12:50

The pizza giro is such good value for money! We went on a Thursday which was vegan night (and none of us were vegan) and every single pizza was amazing. The roast dinners here are also insane!

Had a sharing platter. Food was spot on, service was attentive but the £2 charge on the bill for extra gravy is something I've never experienced before.

Great atmosphere - just don't order a Mojito. I've been to Electrik many times, and decided to go there last night with a big group of friends whilst out celebrating my birthday. Two friends simultaneously offered to buy me a drink, and I said I'd love a Mojito. The first drink didn't taste like a Mojito, and the second was literally a Margarita, with salt on the rim of the glass and everything (but my friend had queued up for ages and said he'd be very unpopular with the queue if he demanded a swap, so just took it). They were "free" drinks, so I drank them, but I don't really like Margaritas... I decided to personally order the next one, and thought if I was emphatic that I wanted a *Mojito* it would be right this time. Sadly, not the case. I got the same as the first drink, and confused having not seen the bartender put rum in it or actual sugar, I enquired. She said they don't put rum in it (??? That's like not putting cachaça in a caipirinha). I disputed it, but also not wanting to be difficult, I paid the £7 and drank another drink which wasn't a Mojito and that I really didn't enjoy. So that was really disappointing. Please revisit your Mojito recipe, cuz yours is way off. And now I'll stick to ordering rum and coke, as that will hopefully have rum in it!

The Sunday lunch in Electrik are amazing. Very tasty food, excellent portion sizes and the sharing platters are something to behold. Also a great range of beers., Very friendly and efficient staff.

Really great atmosphere, can get very busy on Friday/Saturday nights but that is to be expected for a popular bar. The pizza is amazing! Selected deals on most days, the pizza giro is amazing with unlimited pizzas of many varieties. It allows you to try types of pizza you may not have thought of before, without having to dedicate yourself to an entire pizza.
