What a hidden gem this place is! It was recommended by a friend so we decided to visit for breakfast. We arrived and it was really really busy! Two big parties in. We were seen to by staff quickly despite it being so busy and we placed our orders and sat outside in the covered area which had a lovely patio heater! We both got a full breakfast and just wow. It was one of the nicest breakfasts I’ve had! Staff were lovely and food superb. Would definitely visit again.

I've enjoyed excellent service here in the past and a recent article in the Yorkshire Post made me decide to plan my walk to have lunch here last Saturday. There were plenty of tables outside, well spaced out and hand sanitizer available which was good. When I arrived a waitress came out with some food and said she'd take my order. Unfortunately I sat for over half an hour watching a few other people eating delicious-looking food and saw another couple get up and leave because they'd not been served. The waitress came to them just as they were going and offered them free drinks and food but they declined and went on their way.I eventually managed to attract a waitress's attention and ordered a takeaway tea and coffee cake, explaining I needed it quickly now as I had to catch a train from Giggleswick station to Leeds, where I'd got a pre-booked seat on the next train and so couldn't miss it. Contactless payment didn't work outside, so I had to pay by cash. After the long wait, I was running short of time, so I drank the tea on the way and was worried that I might miss the train. I just had time to eat the cake at the station before the train came. The cake was delicious, but I'd missed lunch. Very disappointed.

Called at Elaine's on Saturday after New Year for coffee and a cake but ended up having a three course lunch as the menu was so tempting! The service is friendly, helpful and efficient and the food is delicious. We opted for the special soup which was sweet potato and ginger followed by shrimp and crumpets and vegetable nut roast topped with apricots and goats cheese. The nut roast was served with chips, salad and coleslaw and was melt in the mouth perfection. For pudding it was again a split decision so one of went for Christmas pudding and brandy sauce which the other went for the homemade caramel, chocolate shortbread.Very reasonably priced and on a good walking path, we will definitely be back.

The staff at Traddock House in Austwick suggested we do the Oxenber Woods walk on our first afternoon there as a way to kill some time before dinner. The scenery through the local cow fields and woods was absolutely stunning. Within the first couple of miles we came out in the tiny village of Feizor. To our surprise we turned a little corner in the road and came across Elaine's Tea Room before heading up the hill. It was the perfect stop! We had a nice hot cuppa, some hot buttered toast, and homemade pastries. The staff was very welcoming and friendly towards us here. Quite a homey little gem situated in such beautiful countryside. As our favourite stop-off normally en route to the Lakes, Elaine's came up trumps again yesterday as my halfway stop off during a 50.9 mile bike ride as part of my Cancer Research Cycle 300 challenge. In fact, the whole reason I picked that route was so to come and try the Butternut Squash lasagne and it was just as delicious as I was hoping coming up the hill into Settle! As a new dog (s) came in, copious greetings with barking ensued, the doors open and shut continuously letting dogs and cold wind in. The service was friendly, the lunch good for sustaining a walker. We were in Austwick to do the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge. Staying at the excellent Wood View B&B.; Unfortunately, a back injury meant I had to forget the Three Peaks this time. After waving my wife and a friend off for their attempt on the peaks (they did it in 10 hrs 20 minutes) I wondered what to do to while away the time.

Walked a good six miles across the Dales to find this fantastic gem of a place which is popular with walkers. We had a delicious Sunday Roast-chicken, roast potatoes and lovely veg all for a fraction of what we would be charged in London! Friendly helpful service, clean loos and just a nice place to relax after a long walk. We felt well and truly fired up to make the trip back to our cottage by the time we had eaten a summer fruit pudding and cream!

Bustling cafe, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, but perfectly situated on our walk from Clapham to Settle.. Great quality sandwiches, efficiently served in garden eating area.

After reading and hearing such fantastic reviews of this out of the way place we thought it would make a nice day out. So we went on a little cycling trip and ended up at the cafe around 2pm. Crowded, which is a good start. Sat ourselves and waited. Menu on the table, which had in large letters, ask about the daily specials. First mistake. I suspected the menu I looked at was the menu and any specials would be for something extra added to what was on the menu. Anyway. I was not excited by the menu. Mostly breakfast fare. Well I heard they served a most wonderful breakfast, so let's go for it. And a bacon and sausage bap. The sausages tasted as if they had been deep fried, again. The fried bread tasted as if it had been soaked in some cheap fryer oil and not fried thoroughly. One egg, one slice of toast, two sausages, a slice of bacon, usual tomatoes, beans, hash brown and mushroom. £8.50. Sausage, same deep fried, again, and bacon bap for £3.50. Order of chips that tasted as if they had been soaked in some fat before being fried too long at varying temp. I did not see a real menu until I asked for a desert menu. To my surprise here was a menu with real fare offered. So I ordered a cup of tea, which tasted like a cup of tea. But after thinking of the food I had already eaten and how disappointed I was with the whole thing I decided I had best not, possibly, waste any more of my money on desert. Will I be back? Guess

Pity it's in Yorkshire, but you can't have everything!....from an envious Lancastrian! We were welcomed at opening time with freshly-baked scones and delicious coffee. Then a trip to see the fantastic spring flowers nearby. A return trip at lunchtime and we found the place very busy. But service was slick and friendly and the food! The biggest Gammon steak I've ever seen ( big enough for two really) for my wife and a lovely, home baked steak pie for me. Lots of happy customers about....and no sign of staff being anything other than charming, despite their dealing with a crowded caff at peak time. A friendly farewell from Elaine when we left...and we're already planning a return.

Friends recommended this place whilst we were staying at The Traddock so we scouted it out on a very windy, wet morning. We were told to have the scones! Oh my word they were delightful, massive, warm, fresh and the best I’ve had . Try these if nothing else l

We’ve been calling at Elaine’s for years now. It’s a perfect stop on a muddy dog walk around that part of the Dales. Usually we just stop for a cappuccino which is always excellent. Hot and frothy, just how I like them.

We had been to see the Norber Erratics and walked along the Pennine Bridleway from Austwick before arriving, very hungry and a bit wet. The staff were welcoming and all the food was delicious, sandwiches, chips, followed by cakes. Open every day, I can't wait to come back on a sunny day and try those tables in the garden.

We visited Elaines Tea Rooms on our way from Derbyshire to Cockermouth after hearing very good reports of it. From the A65 between Ingleton and Settle we took a narrow lane signposted for Feizor and in about a mile came to the Tea Rooms. There was ample parking both by the Tea Rooms and in the farm opposite. Access for wheelchairs is good. We were there mid morning for coffee and cakes. The choice of cakes was amazing and all home made. The meals we saw brought out for other customers were fantastic and we will certainly go there again and sample their cooking. The grilled gammon looked amazing and a definite must for next time. It was very busy but the service was very good and we didn't have to wait. The staff were very friendly.

Stayed at The Lister Arms for a couple of nights mid week. We stayed in the Lister Barn which is a 2 minute walk from the actual pub. Cosy and warm, tastefully decorated with lovely toiletries - a real gem of a place. The main pub is really cosy, with a gorgeous fire burning all day and evening. Breakfast and dinner here were both really good with large portions. Lots of dogs inside the bar area too which was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

After driving around the Yorkshire Dale's, we were in need of a drink and snack. We came across this lovely little tearoom and we weren't disappointed, quirky and quaint I would say, very friendly, great value for money too.

Fantastic place. Roll with bacon and sausage was lovely. Really good quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I've been coming here on caving trips for 25 years and always either start or finish the day in Inglesport. Love it. The only thing I'd say... bring back the pints of tea!!! And please don't ever stop doing the tiffin, it is the best on the planet.

On arrival the pub does not inspire confidence in the quality of food - but it was really very good. I was dubious about the sizes of sunday roasts after reading a previous review - and to be fair, the plates do not arrive loaded with masses of veg or mash. However, we all left feeling satisfied and it really felt like well prepared, high quality food. The steak and ale pie, and steak and ale yorkie had the same filling, which was superb.
