Elachi in Mendip

It was our 10th wedding anniversary and we’re both very busy at work, Being a week night and shattered we wanted to celebrate but be close by to walk to and walk back home. Walked into frimley town and walked in and no prior booking, service was great, mo was our host and lovely, he recommended stuff and went out of his way to recommend stuff after our original waiter had take our order and suggested stuff that was brilliant and given to us free of charge to try and learn. We have now found our new fav curry place and given this area it’s shocking for good places to eat! We were very happy! Had a lovely meal and will be back for my birthday in December! Simply the best ! Curry is my favourite food and with work I travel all over the country. So I experience nearly every week the good,bad and indifferent curry restaurants. This is simply the best I have visited this year. The food is outstanding as is the service so good I went back the next evening.

Located on the Frimley parade of shops opposite White Hart pub with plenty of parking at the rear (payable 24/7 although sign above entrance (see my pic) states parking free after 6pm!). Our 5yr old grandson enjoys nothing more than a curry and said he really enjoyed his chicken tikka masala and accompaniments. I had chicken madras and it was a bit hotter than I expected! Staff were friendly and have to say we all enjoyed the food but surprisingly there’s no dessert menu? When we visited on a Saturday evening they were very busy with takeaways (free delivery or 15% off for collection).

Great homely food - perfect spice and not over whelming, first time visited and certainly will be going back. Great vegetarian selection and good service.

We visited for the first time NYE with friends who are regular customers, and love the food here. We were not disappointed! We usually stick with our favorite Camberley Asian restaurant, but we will be adding this to our favorites. The food was delicious, fresh and high quality. When ordering the server made recommendations as to what rice would go best with the dishes we had ordered which I've never experienced before and appreciated. The food was brought out quickly, fresh and hot. The food was made with authentic ingredients and an ingredient I had never come across before in my experience with asian food (which I love as a cuisine) When I asked the server what it was he explained and then brought out another sample of the particular ingredient for me to try separately while he explained what it was and how they make and use it. I was really impressed at the attentiveness of the server, he was clearly passionate about the food they serve and he made us feel welcome and valued. We will be back as regular customers!

Delicious food with some great house specials that you don’t find everywhere. A fabulous first visit - we will be back again!

My husband and a few friends went to Elaichi a few months ago on a boys night out and really sung the praises of not only the excellent food, but exemplary service. We live about 25 miles away so waited till getting together with some other friends who live near Frimley. I was really keen to experience it for myself. We visited early on a Friday evening and it was quiet so we had very quick service. The waiter explained that they cook everything fresh and so when I asked if the lamb would be tender he assured me it would. In fact everything was tender - more tender lamb than I’ve ever had actually- and the flavours were fresh and rich. My chicken tikka was full of flavour and my husbands fish starter was unusual and really delicious. I had fruity lamb passanda main and it was exceptional. I thought my husband would find it too sweet but he loved it too. He had Achari lamb and he adored it. Very zesty lime flavour which was great as he loves lime pickle whereas it’s not for me! It went down very well with one of our friends though who had chosen the classic tikka masala. Vegetables sides were really good too and I would say this is possibly the best food served in any Indian continent restaurant I’ve had. The chef is pushing the boundaries for the typical English palate - thank goodness!!!! There are dishes on this menu that are unusual and delicious. Be adventurous and ask for a recommendation from the proprietor as he is also a chef. You won’t be disappointed

Nice. Menu varied and a little bit different from regular curry house. Promising start. Service very good. Food nicely presented and place generally clean. Only down side and kind of spoiled it a bit was whilst the quality of the cooking and flavours was very good, the quality of the meat used was really not. Chicken had quite a lot of gristle. Lamb had quite a lot of fatty bits. Put us off what otherwise would have been a really nice meal.

Friendly service from a good menu. Food arrived hot and tasty but there are a lot of Indian restaurants offering the same level of food. I would and probably will return when in the area again.

I am not a fan of Indian food. My friend loves it so I used to visit the restaurant with her. I really enjoyed the food so much that when fancy it I order it for a takeaway, I order this everytime. The mushroom rice is so fresh and fragrant. The keema naan so light and fluffy. The shaslick so so tasty. Onion bajis are bite size and so flavoursome. Everytime I have been in or ordered it's the same really good quality Thank you so much.

I asked the waiter for his recommendation on dish as I wasn't sure what to get so described what I like and that I'd rather a "special" from the restaurant rather than a standard tikka, etc. which could be got anywhere. I should also note that I have a gluten allergy and almost anything could be catered for me here which is great! His recommendations for both me and my friend were really tasty and very fresh. Only minor comment I would make is the rice is a very small portion - I would recommend you get one rice per person, we shared one between the two of us and it wasn't quite enough. I thought the prices were very reasonable and weren't overpriced at all.

Comimos una comida aquí hace un año, y la comida era adorable. Oído de algunas personas ya que no es genial, pero siempre me gusta probar de nuevo ya que no soy siempre desanime lo que otros dicen si he tenido una buena comida allí. Por desgracia, ojalá me hubiera escuchado a todo el mundo. Una semana para llevar a mediados ordenados ya que mi marido y yo estábamos a casa tarde del trabajo. Nos dijeron que sería entregado en menos de una hora. Una hora y 15 minutos más tarde de nuestra cara, comida insulsa llegamos. El cordero pasanda y pollo madras estaban sin sabor y el pato tikka era blanch un extremadamente seco (sé tikka es seco, de todos modos, pero este pegados a su paladar). No comer allí, lo cual es una pena porque su nuestro local india.

Visitamos como grupo familiar (6 adultos y 3 niños pequeños) y nos sentimos muy bien acogidos, incluso el personal hizo todo lo posible para mover una mesa, así que cabía en el cochecito para nuestro más pequeño (4 meses).La comida era maravillosa y tenían una gran selección, realmente disfrutamos de la bengala Pollo Korma y lo recomiendo encarecidamente.Estaríamos encantados de visitar de nuevo la próxima vez que estemos en la zona.

Hemos estado comiendo aquí por más de 5 años cada par de meses. . El personal es amable y cordial, no se de prisa y se encargan de las peticiones especiales (nuestra hija tiene una alergia, así que este es coco el único restaurante le trust). Te recomiendo totalmente. . La comida es de excelente calidad y un servicio amable, te hacen sentir bienvenido si su sólo dos de nosotros o cuando toda nuestra familia de 10 - 15 personas llega, así que no puedo recomendar lo suficiente.

Tenía un encantador almuerzo aquí, éramos un grupo de 15 comensales, pero nos sirven rapido y amablemente. La calidad de la comida es muy alta, vajilla y cubertería encantador y limpio como es agradable, cómodo y moderno mobiliario sillas de respaldo. No había ningún tipo de queja de nuestro grupo acerca de la comida, todos disfrutamos de nuestras comidas y no teníamos prisa para salir. No hay cobro de servicio a la factura, a pesar de ser un grupo grande.

Conseguimos una frecuente a través de nuestra puerta, publicidad especial Menú de banquetes - muy claramente dicho - De domingo a jueves 12 del mediodía a 2 pm - 6 pm - 10 pm £11. 95 - hoy para el almuerzo del domingo, restaurante, pero completamente vacío - me dijeron que no hay menú de banquetes en el almuerzo - error de impresión! No se molesten en ir de nuevo, tirado gasolina, no disculpa.
