It is always a joy to eat in this restaurant. The food and staff are amazing. A real luxury is to be able to drink Indian wine! It is one of our staple restaurants and highly recommended.

Small friendly modern looking Indian restaurant. Food was somewhat variable. Ku Kuri bindi were delicious. But the tamarind water for the pani puri was unusual (I’ve had a lot) and not very nice. Karachi chicken tasty but the lamb curry was very watery. Black Dahl was tasty but not cooked enough so the lentils were still a bit bullet like floating in a rather thin sauce. Overall average

A very useful local Indian restaurant. The outstanding feature is the quality and attentiveness of the staff. They could not be more helpful. There is a very good selection of food and drink. The portions are quite large and it is worth sharing amongst two one main and two side dishes. The only problem with speed of service, and this is an issue with other restaurants, is prioritising takeaways. Other than that a good local to keep on visiting.

Cracking upmarket curry restaurant with friendly staff. Had a mixed starter and a biryani which was outstanding. Thank you and see you again!

I can not rate the food as I did not get to eat it. I can rate the home delivery service and the attitude towards it, both of which were awful. After many calls the food came 45 minutes late and clearly had spent all of that time getting cold as it was inedible. Took it back and got a refund. Complete waste of time

We had a delivery from this new restaurant nearby. It was not just dissapointing , it was bad. A few small chunks of paneer swimming in what seemed to be spinach soup. A veg biriyani , that was largely rice with very few veg It was one of the worst Indian meals i have had. A pity , as it is convenient , and we would have used it ... but never again !

We visited Elā and Dhanī for the second time this week - and enjoyed another outstanding meal. Everything is fresh and delicious, from the papad (papadoms) and accompanying three sauces to the murgh nawabi tikka, murgh tikka masala, lamb rogan josh to the light, non greasy rice and buttered naan. We ordered an extra biryani dish to take home for the fridge/freezer. Wonderful friendly service. Go visit! 😊

Really great food, the paneer and black daal were both amazing. Friendly service too. The only thing I would say is that it’s a bit bright in there - would definitely benefit from dimming the lights to create a nicer atmosphere.

Ela & Dhani is a lovely new Indian restaurant in Barnes. If you want to have a home-cooked Punjabi meal - this is the place to go. We started off with the Tandoor Paneer & Maharaja Prawns, followed by Kerala Prawn Curry, Goan Fish Curry accompanied by Safran Pilau Rice. All washed down with some Kingfisher Beer. This restaurant has only been open a few weeks and it was packed out last night...don't take my word - go try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Just had our first takeaway from Ela and Dhani, Barnes' new curry house. Absolutely fantastic. Authentic, tasty, genuinely fresh food, delivered quickly by a charming man. Barnes has been waiting for a really good Indian and at last we have one. Our new regular. Thank you Ela and Dhani.

The tikka masala was horrible today. Hardly any taste, and way more sauce than chicken. It was also very watery, when I mixed my curry and rice together there was a big puddle at the bottom of my bowl! The food was also cold when it arrived (all of it) and the chapatti was soggy. Couldn’t even bare to eat it as it was all so soggy and watery and tasteless. Not sure if it’s different chefs as I’ve ordered from here before and it’s been fine but I definitely won’t be ordering again

Super Delicious Curries. Mild if you like it or really spicy options if you like that.
