El Tano Empanadas in South Ribble

Didn't eat on this occasion so can't rate the food. I would note that I concur with a comment I read regarding lack of signage... it's actually quite hard to find! If this is because of some daft rule The Council are imposing, well... Shame on Them! One thing I would suggest though is perhaps to get a rubber stamp for the (very nice & eco-friendly) bags used for the wine we purchased. The glasses we had were so good we bought a bottle! Do you have a website?

Amazing hidden gem! Can recommend to all wine and BBQ lovers (not sure which days the BBQ is on). Great selection of wines. Friendly staff. The steak from the BBQ was delicious and went very well with our red wine. Reasonable prices and lovely atmosphere!

I have been here a few times and thought it time I wrote a review. This is a real hidden gem situated in the old stables in Worden Park. This used to be the cafe, but it has been relocated to a bigger area. El Tano is a wine shop and Argentinian/ Italian cafe. It serves wine by the glass and other drinks and excellent coffee too. The food is the best bit. All home made and centered around empanadas, which is kind of like an Argentinian pasty with various fillings, include vegan and vegetarian options. They also do sharing boards and operate a BBQ outside at weekends if the weather permits. The food is excellent and the homemade chorizo sausages are to die for. It is starting to build a reputation, but many people do not know it is there. This is because some daft council rules mean they have no signage in the car parks! Talk about the council supporting small local businesses, this is ridiculous. They open in the week until 5pm but are open to 10pm at the weekend. Give it a try, the service is great. Use it or lose it.

First time visit last night. Can’t wait to revisit. Brought my Argentinian relatives and they loved it. Authentic foods. High quality ingredients. Excellent wine selection. Decent prices. Atmosphere amazing. Staff attentive and friendly. Dog friendly. Highly recommended

Delicious! The empanadas are very generously sized, with delicious fillings! A range of different flavours, including sweet empanadas! The brownie empanada was delicious, accompanied by a tasty sauce! A range of different dipping sauces too, I had the spicy mayo, and would recommend this! 👌

Dropped in for a try out given the rave reviews by friends, family and others. I have no idea what I ordered or what I ate but it sounded great when the lady explained what was what! I had a breakfast in a pastie and my kids tried out what I can only describe as a cheeseburger in a pastie. The fact that they ate everything in an unfamiliar silence speaks volumes about this place and the food that they serve! Reviews from my kids - better than McDonald's! My 7 year old gave it a solid 14 out of 10 and he has some high demands where foods are concerned! I'd definitely recommend you go! Could not fault the place. From the greeting and throughout the service it was a real treat and an absolute pleasure. Thank you x

Friendly staff and great service. First order for me and the mixed pork empanada was amazing (you only need one) and the patatas with cheddar chimichurri was lovely (even for 2 to share) can’t wait to try the desserts

A Beautiful place for empanadas to sit in or take away. The food is delicious and served with a smile. The couple who own this place are passionate about their food and it shows. Highly recommend the empanadas and I’m gradually working my way through all the flavours! 🇦🇷👍🏼

We got a mix and match of 4 different empanadas and all were amazing and delicious with lots of filling!! The cookies are the perfect sweet treat afterwards so light and crumbly ❤️ thank you for the quick delivery and great food!

The empanadas are fresh and tasty. Package are well thought off. I like the way that are different shape for a different flavour. I love the chicken and also the one with mushroom, chorizo and ham . So glad, you can get these empanadas close to home. So, thank you and cake is yummy!
