It took 30 minutes for us to receive two cold burritos. There was no warning that the wait would be this long and no apology when the food eventually came. Food was very average and cold. Would not recommend. I feel like I have been ripped off

Delicious burritos at a really reasonable price. Convenient location in the centre of Worcester and plenty of choice of meats, customisation of ingredients etc. Will definitely be back

80% of our order was missing. Burritos arrived with no sauce or toppings, just dry rice, few pieces of chicken and beans!! Tasted vile! Also didn’t receive chocolate sauce for churros and loaded fries arrived just as a regular portion of fries with no toppings! Ruined our night, and you can tell that people working there could not care less! Would not recommend to anyone.

Aweful inedible dry rice, dry chicken No Salsa just a dry Pico mix This place has gone down hill and it wasn’t that good before….

Quite possibly the worst Mexican we have ever had. The food was dry, the sauces were terrible and non existent. They had no working toilet to use at all and they had no napkins or wipes for their customers to use. Even Taco Bell is better and that's saying something...

Brilliant spicy food, was served by a ginger young man who pretty much knew what he was doing! Really good customer service!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Worcester for the night and looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite as we had arrived late and stumbled across this place. You go along the counter picking your fillings - I went for a large burrito. There was a good selection fillings and toppings. Some toppings, like quac cost extra but Its the first burrito place where I’ve actually been satisfied with the amount they give you for how much you pay. The portion sizes were very generous and staff very warm and friendly. If I’m ever in Worcester again would definitely go back.

Cool service, amazing food, first time I tried a Burrito it's amazing, special thanks to Vikas who helped me in choosing toppings as I was new to it so I just chose only 2 but the staff helped me with my choice with there suggestions. They could have saved it but they called me to ask me what I want, that's what I called superb and genuine service. Thank you for your care and support. I recommend EL Mexicana to all my friends and will surely visit again on my next trip to Swindon :) Cheers!

I went in on my lunch break today and had a large burrito the chicken was very dry and the rice was rock hard ,I've had burritos from here before and theyve all been spot on but recently it's just gone down hill I've also noticed everything is microwaved throughout the day not impressed at all 👎🏻

Burrito was awful! it was just filled with rice.... it had no meat, no cheese, no fillings or sauces we asked for, the worst thing I've eaten, ended up throwing it in the bin. wedges were stone cold, had about 8 in the bag when i ordered a largee....? nachos were sooooo stale, had no cheese to put on when it stated it online. Worst takeaway I've ever had and threw the whole thing away and got a refund. Wouldn't ever eat here again and people should avoid!

Burrito was ok. Quesadilla was awful and falling apart, it was more like a wrap. Nachos were awful - the cheese wasn’t melted and they were dry and stale. Best part was the canned Diet Coke.

Popped by on the way to get train home from work. Fancies a Burreto so thought I'd dive in and grab something I could eat on the go. Gave up waiting after 10 minutes of watching the poor lad trying and failing to serve a family of four. "Oh heck were out of tacos, sorry - give me 5 while I run upstairs". N.B. This is a Mexican food shop! After giving up and heading off to catch that train I was a bit miffed. But as the smell of burnt oil that probably should have been changed a calendar month back faded away, my confidence grew; I've never eaten food from somewhere that smells so bad and not regretted it!

Staff are in need of further training in organising the efficiency of their food preparation and customer service. They were struggling to manage online orders being collected and walk in customers, the food in the counter needed replenishing and they were so busy/disorganised that hygiene standards and consistency of the food and speed of service was poor. The till was not working and staff were adding the totals up on their phones. There was also some off hand attitudes and rudeness to a frustrated delivery driver. The restaurant has unclear/unclean tables, there was no bin for self clearing and cutlery & serviettes were not available to customers without asking. The food itself was quite tasty but expensive and I would not return. I actually felt sorry for the employees as they were seemed out of their depth and needed more effective management.

Food extremely average & very over priced for what you get, only received part of order (not Deliveroos fault) phoned twice, unhelpful staff, supervisor refused to speak to me, no refund for missing food. Was told I could maybe pop in sometime, not the point when you’ve paid for delivery!

I won’t be using El Mexicans again. Crappy floppy Burritos , which were cold and lifeless. Cold fries which were like wood and tortilla chips so dry it seemed like they had been in the desert. £24. And I probably could have bought 4 McDonalds...

Decided to give this place a go for a late night meal after going out for a few drinks. Staff behind the counter were friendly, and walked me through all the options available when preparing my Burrito. Service was quick, and the food was decent...

Went into el mexicana to grab some quick food today. We were greeted by two love staff members. Food choices were thoroughly explained. Lovely food and helpful staff. We will be back.

My favourite place to get burritos in Worcester. Always packed with flavour and even the regular size is huge. The Mexican fries are amazing and I could eat those every day.

The burrito was good and flavoursome. The service on the other hand was shocking, the man was so rude and unapproachable. He mumbled when talking and was very abrupt. Bad customer service skills.

Wonderful service from the staff working there. They were incredibly helpful, and friendly. Both were wearing masks and gloves. Food was delicious. Thank you for making my son’s birthday meal so lovely!

When I'm hungry and craving food, el Mexicana is a go to for me as I love burritos and latin american food. I've only really had their vegetarian burritos as when I had their tacos and nachos I wasn't too impressed. The customer service tends...

Just enjoyed my first visit to El Mexicana. It won’t be my last. Excellent value money burritos that were tasty and fresh. If you enjoy a bit of spice, try the inferno salsa.

When we’re in town shopping we often pop in to El Mexicana as it’s cheap, quick and something a little different to McDonalds, Subway, Etc. Can’t fault the offering at the level it’s pitched at. Horses for Courses and all that! Worth a try. PS the staff have always being friendly with us :-)

Arrived at this eat in/ takeaway on 30/12/19 around 7 ish. Food looked ok so we ordered. The server overcharged a family member and when she requested a copy of the receipt, the server stated she had binned it and their policy was not to retrieve receipts from the bin. Family member knew she had been overcharged so requested a further print out of the receipt....and guess what - she was overcharged! At this point staff were rude to another customer standing beside us.My family had all requested black beans which had not been drained significantly and therefore were wet in the burritos...yuk so I declined the beans.When we sat down and started to eat all the food was cold and worse we found quite a few hairs in 2 of the burritos at this point I stopped eating as it would put me of burritos for life if I found a few hairs.We felt this was a restaurant that the environment agency should visit as we had concerns about the cold food, staff hygiene and hairs in food.

Burritos are always spot on Generally tasty Only down side is the pricing for the type of environment it is but if you want good reasonably fast Mexican type food then heres your place

Lovely burritos and wraps available. Pleasant change to all the fast food restaurants around the area. Easily located in centre of town but no parking. £6.29 for large burrito. Very nice food but staff could of been a little less rigid on portion control, slightly anal. At the end of the day if you get a scoop and a half of rice instead of a scoop offered does it really break the bank. Would eat here again. No cost to eat in. Soft drinks a little pricey.

Used to really enjoy a burrito with chargrilled chicken until I found out all the meat used is halal. If I visit again I'll have to have the vegetarian option I suppose. I know a lot of people don't really care but I'm a Christian and don't want to eat it, so I would appreciate some non halal meat options as would others who would have to say no for religious reasons.

Lovely veggie tacos and nachos for a decent price, and the place in general has a nice communal atmosphere, feels very mexican.I'm usually pretty good with heat but I must warn you, the medium spice option (two chillies) absolutely blew my head off! Unreal heat, had to drink a lot of water. I'll go with the mildest one next time.

Its been a while since we've been in here but same chatty and friendly staff as I remember from our last visit. Always happy to help with the myriad of choices that you are confronted with.Soft wrap burritos always brimming with fillings, I'd just like to see some better meal deal offers that staff point out when ordering as a regular burrito is £5.29 with no sides or drink.There is a great calorie counter app on their website with comparisons with to other fast food high street offerings.

I came in with my two boys. You can get a child's burrito with wedges and drink for £2.99 which I think is a bargain. The staff offered my son a taste of the meats and the salsa to help him choose.My youngest had the chocolate tacos (basically 2 big chocolate cookies and 2 scoops of ice cream), which he loved but I thought were a bit boring. But for £2.99 for those as well I was a happy mum.

I’ve been to El Mexicana several times before and I am honestly stumped at some of the reviews. I’ve never experienced bad service here. On this particular visit, I ordered nachos with the veggie chilli. The girl who served me immediately changed her gloves - something I hadn’t even thought of but appreciated being vegetarian. I was offered additional toppings - peppers and onions, which I accepted, and beans, which I passed on. I was also offered sour cream and I asked for additional salsa too. She was very helpful and I found her to be warm and friendly in her approach. On previous visits I have had the vegetarian burrito which has been very tasty and faultless. My only criticism is that I wish they would have an online ordering facility like the other branches and similar establishments (namely Mission Burrito in Birmingham). It would make my life easier being hard of hearing. I’ll certainly be back!

Was hesitant to come after reading reviews, but craving was craving a Mexican. I was a very awkward customer asking questions, and unable to decide on what I wanted. The lady servicing me was patient and pleasant. Food is tasty!

I’ve been to El Mexicana before but walked out due to the rudeness of the staff. Today I thought I’d try it because it was a lot less busy than my first try, but again the staff act like they don’t want to be there; the male (I think owner?) is incredibly rude/miserable and female waitress wouldn’t make a mocha because “she didn’t know how to make it”. The Burrito itself was the worst I’ve ever tasted - I had to pick out pieces of chicken as it was burnt and too tough to eat and there was hardly any fillings. I definitely won’t be stopping by again.

I was in the queue at El Mexicana, about to order some food, I observed the oldest member of staff (an older male) intimidating his staff in front of the queue and treating them with absolutely no respect. If you disrespect your employees then you will never have a good team working for you. I felt so sorry for the young boy and girl who were treated terribly. I decided that I was not going to pay for food in an organisation that treats their employees so badly. I think the management needs to seriously reassess their approaches to training staff.

incredible attitude of the girl and the older gentleman I received, I asked for a burrito and all right and when I asked for a portion of nacho I was treated badly because I wanted it as it was in photography in older men had a psychopathic reaction with a very rude actidudine who threw me into the basket the nacho that was preparing but I have remained calm, these people in this place should not work with the public in front of I am very impatient and rude I will not come back

Los burritos aquí son, de lejos, el mejor en worcester y he sido especialmente crítico para los restaurantes mexicanos en Worcester. Me encanta el sistema que es similar a la de metro donde escoger lo va a su burrito. Siempre voy para el cerdo desmenuzado y es una sensación de sabor! ! ! Me encanta la decoración del lugar y los precios también son buenos, especialmente si tienes un descuento de estudiante. El único inconveniente es que a veces tengo que preguntar al personal de lo que he pedido ya que a veces te olvidas de lo que he ordenado a mitad de camino a través de lo que, así que para mejorar el servicio, pero como el buen burritos son sinceramente puedo decir que es un bache sin importancia en la carretera para mí. Un fin de semana en Febrero mi pareja y yo visitamos durante la gran escasez de lechuga británica y no parecía que había sido saqueada ya que tenían quedaron sin una carga de relleno y el arroz estaba recocido y crujiente, pero que venga aquí por lo menos dos veces al mes y sentir todo el mundo tiene días malos y este era una ocasión. The portion size (of the large burrito) would be enough to satisfy even the largest appetite. The sweet potatoes fries are very nice and always freshly cooked to order. Generously filled and the service is generally quite quick. I would recommend.

Excellent value for a quick lunch on the go, not really a place for an evening meal, more street food type of place. Plenty of options and only a quid more than a McDonalds! The food can be a bit dry.

Just went in on the off chance the other night and had a beef burrito with hot sauce and fried sweet potatoes.It was rammed with filling and heavy to lift.It tasted absolutely beautiful and i was very satisfied with the quality of everything.I must also mention the young couple serving had a great atitude to what they were serving and very friendly with it.I will return very soon.

I love nachos so we picked a large portion of those plus a burrito. A little confusing on what is and isn't included, would be the only thing. They both tasted delicious. Meal cost around £10. Bought a can of coke for 99p as well...

This place is relatively new to Worcester however it is really nice and they do have nice food, really enjoy burritos and tacos from here the only gripe I have is that sometimes the fillings aren't as hot as they could be which will be down to the nature of the restaurant, also did witness mixing of cool food and hot food which can be dangerous so that made me opt for something else - don't get me wrong the food is always tasty and nice just needs a bit of TLC now to make it even better - will no doubt visit again

We popped in to El Mexicana one evening prior to a cinema visit. Very helpful and pleasant staff talked us through the choices and we had a tasty and satisfying meal. Good price and prompt service. Well worth a try.

Por desgracia no tuvimos tiempo de probar nada de su menú, pero los churros era excelente. El personal era muy alegre, amable y eficiente. Los platos, todo parecía genial, era muy razonable y fueron preparados con cuidado en frente de usted. Hizo una gran diferencia de las habituales cadenas de comida rápida. Sólo dos inconvenientes, en primer lugar, no tienen tiempo para ir y volver a disfrutar de una comida y en segundo lugar no tienen un outlet en nuestra zona de casa!

Aparecimos para una cena muy temprano el sábado. Hay una selección de relleno para tacos, burritos, etc, pero el camarero era muy servicial, nos estamos hablando a través de todas las opciones y ofrece sabores de todo lo que no estábamos seguros. Despite the queue going out of the door the two servers were on slow-mo with no care in the world. A male server frequently wiped his nose with his hand and did so before serving me. The food was ok but only luke warm.

Yo iba andando pasado buscando comida sana. Me encanta la comida mexicana pero la comida no pase adelgazamiento más comida del mundo. Llegué y me preguntó qué podría haber que era saludable. Me dieron un plato de ensalada hasta los topes. Que encabezó la ensalada de pollo a la plancha. La comida era muy sabrosa, y el camarero fue muy alegre. Realmente fue una comida estupenda.

Sí, es comida rápida pero estaba limpia y ordenada y mucho más opción para vegetariano que un montón de cadenas de restaurantes. chili bowl de verduras con arroz mexicano y un montón de ingredientes. Churros para el postre. Tiene un precio muy razonable. En general nos ayudó a Ward el frío y nuestro grupo tenía una buena noche. Muy fácil acceso, en particular para las sillas de ruedas y carritos.

Food was lukewarm and portions minuscule,the nachos were advertised as 'piled high with toppings' which was a complete lie....they came with the tiniest squirt of cheese sauce I have ever seen and it's a clever ploy to get you to add more toppings at extra cost! Decidimos prueba este lugar ahora se ha abierto hace unos pocos meses. Aunque las opciones de comida (base, abundante y salsa o) no parecen ser lógicamente distribuida en las tablas al principio el personal era muy servicial y nos guió a través fácilmente, así que teníamos una buena selección de nachos, tacos y burritos para nosotros para probar. Con una explosión de sabores y coberturas generosas (guacamole fresco en los nachos era delicioso) todos disfrutamos nuestras opciones. Sin duda es mejor que el tiempo del almuerzo típico que te dan en Worcester pero los precios pueden ser un poco demasiado alta para la mayoría a hacer de este un almuerzo normal Hangout de tiempo.

He estado buscando un lugar para tener buena nutritiva comida sin tener que esperar y El Mexicana ofrece ambos. El personal muy agradable y me encanta la manera en que funciona. Algunas cosas son bastante caras, pero definitivamente vale la pena por la calidad de la comida y el servicio.

En general todo estaba muy buena y era abundante, pero no era algo increíble, y me pareció que era bastante caro para una comida rápida comida de estilo.

Tenía muchas ganas de una buena comida después de ir al cine, con algunos amigos, pero por desgracia nos fuimos a "El Mexicana." El gusto de la comida estaba por debajo de la media, pero fue el ambiente del lugar que era lo peor. Se podía oír una mujer (el jefe?) gritando y ser bastante desagradable hacia las personas que trabajan en la cocina, que nos hizo sentir muy incómodo. Yo no sería capaz de trabajar allí! La comida estaba tibia. No se puede ir allí otra vez, eso seguro.

I was enticed by the idea of the restaurant however once I was there, not only was I poorly treated by the staff, my food was also inedible (e.g. My burrito had hair in it). The atmosphere in this so called restaurant was surprisingly relaxing at first but constant shouts from the boss to her employees put me on edge, I went in completely open minded however I have now come out knowing I shall never step foot in a place like that again due to bad customer service and inedible food.

Yo estaba genuinamente emocionado al escuchar que un nuevo restaurante mexicano estaba abriendo en Worcester, por lo que era tan decepcionados por mi primera experiencia comer en El Mexicana. Pedí el burrito grande por £5,49 , que parecía un precio razonable. Viendo la señora que me sirvió, que era bastante agradable, haciendo el burrito, vi lo que parecía ser rociados una pequeña cantidad de carne de vacuno de chili en la tortilla. Cuando vine a comer el burrito recto después de dejar el restaurante, estaba tibia y después de un par de bocados, me respondieron con una gran obra de cartílago. Yo espero realmente que los propietarios de esta pequeña cadena su juego ya que esto no fue un buen comienzo.

Como nuestro lugar para almorzar regular estaba cerrado nos encontramos caen en un aperitivo rápido en este nuevo lugar de 'bastante.

Después de ir al cine y alimentar a los niños en McDonalds, decidimos que queríamos probar este nuevo restaurante. Como no habíamos estado antes decidimos compartir un burrito grande. La bienvenida del personal era bueno, aunque me hubiera gustado ofreció el proceso explicó a mí. Todas las opciones nos dieron claramente, arroz y frijoles (refried o pinto).
