El Mexicana in South Bucks

Overpriced, £12 for the 'xxl' burrito which just seems standard anywhere else and then it's an extra £1.50! For guacamole; go anywhere else here and get your money's worth it's. Rip off; not even with a drink or fries which a can of coke is £2.50

Such mid food. After travelling ages wanted something comforting. Ordered a naked borito, wings and fries. Naked boritto was dry, bland and chicken tasted off, wings were so dissapointing and had no flavour to the batter. Only okay thing were fries. Honestly dissapointing and overpriced for how bad it was.

I ordered burrito and fries with slushie the best I have had and I been Mexico better than the Mexico street food!! Have to give big shout out to Mahad who serve me we have the same name and great guy recommend giving raise by £2 minimum!!!!

Ordered a burrito with no sauce. Got given a burrito with mayonnaise. Customer service was awful. Walked away with a burrito I could not eat.

Churros were good, but 5 pounds for one churro stick! Also, sprinkles were added when we specifically wanted nothing on top!!

Ordered a large Chicken Burrito with Rice and Cheese, no slaw and no jalapenos with mild sauce. What was served was a burrito with no Rice, no cheese, the wrong beans, full of jalapenos and slaw with a stingy but of chicken. Considering it's an automated ordering system via a computer, the people making it have to go out of their way to make a mess of it. That plus a small side of Nachos was nearly £16 and aside from the chips it all tasted rank.

My burrito was cold, thought I was getting fresh new potato fries. Seemed like they had already been cooked previously. They were over cooked and had no salt on. It was meant to be large... Same size as any burrito I've had before. Would order again, just skip the fries and get from Mcdonald's behind you.

Very slow service. The ordering method is entirely too impractical for a burrito place, it would make more sense to be able to order the way you do at subway rather than at a machine like McDonald’s. The burrito was unfortunately disgusting. The chicken didn’t even taste like chicken, just mush. The sour cream tasted my mayonnaise and overall it was extremely disappointing.

Absolute rip off. I ordered through deliveroo and received the tiniest burrito ever and I paid almost £10?? I was given the wrong drink and the fries were soggy and completely inedible, seem like frozen oven fries as well. Do not order here. Deliveroo are also refusing to refund me despite showing photos.

Rubbish portion size, hard overcooked churros and watery slush. Staff argue with you when you go to complain!

Very slow service indeed. They made my burrito and left it on the side for ages (whilst waiting for my fries to cook) and so it was cold, and when the fries arrived, they too were cold! Your staff don’t seem to be in a rush and I see that you’ve had a lot of other negative reviews - what are you doing about it please? Next time I’ll go to Leon instead.

Order wrap with rise and pork meet, then i open it didnt find no rise no meet just full of vegies and beans. Better go to Mcdonald

I’ve ordered the chilli beef naked rice box. It was so bland and horrible. It was full of beans. No beef or no spice at all.

Both burritos were cold, and the beef one was actually vegetarian. Pork one would’ve been nice if it was hot. Had to heat them up at home and wait longer. Waste of money. Don’t go there unless it’s for the fries. Won’t go again.

Ever since they introduced the automated system and changed the menu the food here is disgusting. Such a shame.

Food okish management is terrible with attitude

Easily the best Mexican food I've had in many years! Everything prepared fresh in front of you so is very quick. It's just a shame it's located in a motorway service station! Would happily eat at an El Mexicana standalone restaurant if there are any about! Ordered the nachos, the beast burrito, the quesadillas and dirty fries. Everything excellent, hot enough and seasoned. Loved the Mexican pickle's sharpness that came through with the creamy guacamole, fresh Pico de Gallo and well cooked rice. Had no issues with the friendliness of staff like in other reviews, so maybe they've been replaced or retrained!

Awful experience and disgusting food. We ordered quesadillas which were cold, soggy undercooked tortillas with a tiny amount of insipid, luke warm chicken and very little seasoning. I didn't even get through my first bite before returning the 'food' for a refund. Eat somewhere else.

Absolutely awful! The iPad kept crashing but eventually took my payment. The staff, who are incredibly rude, said it hadn’t gone through so wouldn’t give me my food. The manager said to provide proof of payment and I’d get a refund, twice I’ve provided screen shots & my bank have confirmed that the payment was taken but el mexicana are still saying it didn’t & refusing my refund! What a way to treat your customers!

Excellent food and quick service but the drinks are overpriced with the burritos and the POS terminals are slow to use and detract from the social experience.

The screen menu wasn't very clear on how many toppings you could add from which section so everyone took ages to order. Probably didn't matter though as there wasn't much taste. It all looked and tasted like baby food. Couldn't distinguish tastes and I don't have covid lol. The sweet potato chips were lovely though and the bottleddrink was okay.

Disgusting burrito and inedible churros, spent £40 for 2 meals and sharing plate of churros. Staff clearly didnt want to be there, got told they were out of rice, food was disgusting and cold, the churros so hard they were inedible, not to mention the horribble hard chocolate sauce that came with them. A horrible experience overall. Should've gotten money back, more than half of the food went into the bin. Avoid avoid avoid

Bought 3 packs of churros today and i am very dissapointed. The churros was so hard and overcooked and so difficult to chew… definitely not going to order again…

Disappointed they have decided to add self service ordering. Slows things down and means we can't ask for the right amount of certain fillings to meet our taste preferences. Will now reconsider stopping here as our go-to meal on the way home on the m40.

Should have grabbed McDonald's. Burrito was cold. When ordering tell them you don't want rice. Otherwise that's what (all) you'll get. Barely warm rice in an almost raw, barely warm wrap, with some onions , not much else . I couldn't taste any beef at all. The whole thing needed some salt badly. Undrseasoned , cold rice in a wrap , with coke for £9 . Never again .

Waited 20 minutes for it to open at the time is states it open’s online (11AM) to then be told by the miserable guy they don’t open for another 25 minutes? Does it open when it suites him i don’t get it? 😂

Worst experience here this evening, my burrito had bits of hard dried rice inside, when I’d got half way through picking out the rice I could no longer enjoy the food and so went to tell the member of staff who served me, he was so rude, he did not care, he said i should have come told him earlier. I said I was not even asking for a refund just to let him know some of the rice was hard, he proceeded to show me some fresh rice that he’d just used to replace the rice insinuating I was lying.. I told him you know full well that’s not the rice you used for me and I left the half uneaten burrito on the counter and asked to speak to a manager about his attitude, he lied and said he was the manager, later admitting he wasn’t and when I asked for his name he said it so fast I could catch what it was and he walked off laughing shaking his head not a care whatsoever.. The most disgusting experience I’ve ever had purchasing food in my life and I would never ever recommend to eat here and to think I wasn’t even asking for a refund!?! Such a disgraceful response to a simple and more than reasonable and fair complaint…. Unbelievable.

If you want to experience the worst burrito then this is the place for you. Despite it not being busy the staff seemed adamant to serve the food as far as possible. This meant the wrap bread was in the toaster for a nanosecond. This resulted in wrap bread being uncooked, chewy in an unpleasant manner. The “large” burrito is a small burrito in any other good burrito establishment, so I expected the filling and taste to be spot on. Alas the taste of the chill beef and the vegetable tasted bland and mediocre. Everyone in the group feel unwell for the rest of the day, not severely but that said it happened. Avoid even if there are no other options!

I love the food here and the people are some of the friendliest I know, always smiling and will have a chat if they have a couple of minutes to spare, it's quite popular. I can not fault it

Poor service , poor taste and not worth the price . The service was extremely disappointing , the guy acted extremely cold and moody. Didn’t care much and just didn’t bother asking us anything.

Very disappointed. Usually we always go for El Mexicana if one is available. The portion sizes were always good. The one in Beaconsfield is serving very small portions even for ordering 'large' burritos and baskets. All of us were still hungry and had to order other stuff from KFC etc. Potentially our last visit to El Mexicana

Poor, bad food. Nachos with a bit of salsa and guacamole from a packet and charged £5 for the privilege. Rip off Britain right before your eyes. Save yourself the sadness and go to m and s behind and buy yourself a bag, which is cheaper and tastier.

Great tasting burritos. Unfortunately i never realised until after visiting it has a 1 star hygiene rating. And ended up spending alot of time the next day on the toilet with a bad case of the splita

Since I hail from Texas maybe I'm overly critical but even Taco Bell beats this place. It is not a reflection of what real Mexican or TexMex food looks or tastes like.

Bad food. No real taste. The meat looked like it had been out for several days. Staff were ok. If the portion was slightly bigger and the ingredients slightly better it would be a decent place. As it is - fail.

Awful customer service.. I stopped here for a burrito with my husband, we both ordered a large burrito, the portions of meat given were very small. I asked for some sweetcorn on mine as I don’t like most of the extras included, but Was advised I would have to pay extra for this, I asked why they couldn’t just let me have a small spoon of sweetcorn included as I had really only had the meat and rice, but he refused telling me that if he did it for me he would have to do it for everyone... despite the fact that I was the only one in the queue. Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion, it would have been a small gesture especially as I had already paid for a large burrito and not had half the fillings, he even got the manager out to tell me that they can not give away sweetcorn for free 🙄. I left not ordering the sweet potato fries I was going to order out of principle. Further to this, the portions were pathetic and the meat was luke warm, perfect breeding ground for Bacteria. My advice would be avoid this kiosk!

Friendly staff, lovely burrito, terrible value for money, £7.44 for burrito & coffee, didn’t have potato wedges as that would have been around a tenner! Meal deal is ok value for £6.50(?) you get burrito, drink & wedges but only Monday - Wednesday! My 1st and probably last visit, shame. Better value at kfc, McDonald’s, Wetherspoons or anywhere else at beaconsfield services. Can’t see them being in business long unless prices are reduced.

No flavour on the ingredients taste very bad. Can't call this Mexican restaurant. Rather go to the McDonald's next door

Very small portions for that money, too big difference between hot and extra hot salsa. They also charging extra for corn. Guy who prepared buritto for me also take my payment and then straightaway he went to do next one without changing gloves... I don't think that I will eat here again I was here 2 times.
