It’s not even a shadow of what it used to be a couples of years ago. None of the staff behind the bar know how to make a decent drink! It’s shocking how wrong they can get even simple drinks like Vodka with ice and lemon and a G&T!! Went there after a long time (having had a terrible experience before)… except this time it was even worse. Over the weekends it’s seems to become a late night watering hole for singles… which explains why none cares about the quality of service or drinks. Not a place for couples… move on!

This used to be the finest pub in BEACONSFIELD for many years. Last night was reasonably pleasant evening until anthrax followed by heavy drum and base was randomly played at top volume on a Wednesday evening at 9pm. I paid 17.00 for 8 tiny wings and chips which the barman was also conveniently eating on shift. Not quite sure what direction the new landlord is taking but evidently it’s the wrong one. Unless of course they running it into the ground so change of use can be applied for after years of negative books. Let’s see. Shame on the brewery also for upping the rent. 6/10. (The fire was hot and the staff nice) Guinness was flat.

Food and drink is fine but pricey. It is Beaconsfield though. The service is mostly fine, used to be better. Some of the security people they use at weekends are nasty little @#£_-& but it's not all that unusual I suppose and crowd control can be frustrating. The pub generally attracts the decent sort of people even if some of them do do coke in the toilets. Solid 4.5 in general

One of the best Pubs in Beaconsfield with a real local English pub feel to it. Inside its nice a cosy with a few sofas round one side or tables for sitting down for a meal. The food is superb also with a good choice of English Pub food. The Swan also has a lovely outside garden area at the rear which is great place to have a drink in the summer!!

Since it changed hands the new owners seem intent on turning The Swan into a dive bar. No atmosphere anymore, original fixtures inside have been ripped out and the kids play area was demolished and replaced with a pile of dangerous rotting wood. Outside bar is no more and the pub garden now feels like an afterthought. No issue with the town having an old man's sports pub, but The Swan used to be so much more.

My partner went to the pub and was attacked/beaten by 3 guys in an area where are no cameras. The staff seemed no surprise as they are locals/regulars and seems like it wasn’t the first time. No chance to call police as his phone was taken and dropped at the bar/somewhere in a pub as I was at home due to family obligations and took me ages to reach out my partner. I’m thankful he got home himself and I don’t have to visit him in a hospital. I’ve been a regular at this pub for quite some time now. The bad reviews surprised me as I could not fault this pub. The food is great, staff are welcoming and friendly and the selection of beer is bang on! Not to mention the new addition of the pool table which is the only in the whole of Beaconsfield and is the cherry on top for my partner and I. The landlord Neil is a great guy and knows exactly what we want to order every time we go. Overall, this is a classic and traditional pub which is very far and few between in Beaconsfield with all the others becoming Gastro pubs. Well done Neil, Connor and Alice!!!

I turned up at this pub as told there was a children's play area which there was but on a Saturday lunchtime, I would have expected it to be somewhat busy but we were the only customers in there (Myself, my toddler and two adults friends). Their website says they serve food but when I ask for a menu I was told they do not serve food and awaiting a chef to start in 2 weeks' time. They should advertise this on their website as my toddler was really hungry so I had to, after asking permission from the manager who said yes because it was for a child (but not for the adults) I could bring food in. When we left we were pleasantly thanked for coming by the manager. Not impressed at all to be honest. Won't be going back. The Stag in Flackwell Heath is amazing by the way!

The Swan got a new owner and closed for a refurb before Christmas 2021. It's just reopened and has exactly the same decor as before. They've just taken out all the stuff that made it good. The amazing selection of gins has been replaced by what you might find on a good day at your local Tesco metro. If you prefer lager and ale, don't worry. At least three pubs on the same street do a better range. And they have a better atmosphere. And The Swan is more expensive. New owners need a rebrand: The Lame Duck seems appropriate.

The food is always incredible and the main reason we come here. Kids love the playground towards the back of the restaurant and service from the duty staff is always polite and kind. The manager on this afternoon (until evening, after spending the best part of £250 plus) from the manager Shannon was the most appalling we have experienced to date. She is not customer centric and tried to charge us, as customers, for a bar mistake for tonic water (we are talking about £1.50). Surely after the time and money we have spend since 4pm until 8:45pm, a small tonic water mistake would be a rounding error. No, not from Shannon, the rude and righteous manager on duty this evening. Shame, that was the only let down for the evening. I would come back, but not if Shannon is due to be on duty!

Good pub but seems to have lost its way a bit recently. The previous Saturday we were the only people in the marquis when suddenly loud country and western music started blaring out. We asked the waitress if this could be turned off or down but she told us that the manager had told her this was not possible as the Swan was now an American themed pub and other guests yet to arrive would want this. Really? We moved table and waited for the bus load of Dolly Parton fans to show but must have missed them. Also 12.5 percent service charge now automatically added to everything so bear this in mind when ordering. It is a shame as a great traditional local pub is in danger of becoming an American themed restaurant that serves pints.

We have eaten at Brasserie Blanc several times and have always been very satisfied with everything. However, our visit on Saturday 19th October for a family anniversary brunch, can only be described as mediocre. My wife had scrambled egg on sourdough with salmon, which contained very little salmon. I had scrambled on sourdough with a side of bacon, the bacon was two small overcooked offcuts and not full rashers. We both felt that the scrambled eggs were dry and over cooked. Our daughter had a full English which she thoroughly enjoyed. I am pleased to say that the coffee was excellent. Sadly this was overall a very disappointing visit. There only appeared to be 6/8 customers so it could not be called busy.
