Brasserie Blanc Beaconsfield in South Bucks

Highly disappointing meal this evening. The mussels still had the beards attached, making them taste hard and horrible. The pork ribeye was pretty much a slice of gammon, disgusting. The kids chicken meal was tough. We also ordered 2 for 1 cocktails and pointed to them as we did, to then be told at the end we ordered them 15 minutes too early and therefore they weren’t honoured. No-one said anything beforehand. Terrible service, no one checked to see how the meal was or how it was after. The manager was rude and blunt. 100% avoid!

The meal was ok, but the allergy menu was very limited and didn't include a pudding. I was ignored when I walked in and our group was seated at a very awkward table in a draft. The food itself was middling.

Brasserie Blanc in Beaconsfield was the perfect choice for a special celebration. We gathered for a 96th birthday lunch, and the experience was exceptional. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and enjoyed by everyone at the table. A standout of the visit was Lou, whose warm and attentive hospitality made the occasion even more memorable. From start to finish, the service was seamless, ensuring the celebrant and all five of us felt truly celebrated. Highly recommended for any special gathering!

Great place for a lunch, especially in January. Good choice of mains on their menu. It is a lot bigger than it looks from the road enterence. Staff are friendly and met us with a welcome smile. I booked online which was easy.

The restaurant was incredibly busy considering it's post Christmas, but the food and the service were exceptional. We had a lovely Sunday lunch in beautiful surroundings. Thank you

Amazing service, lovely food and great atmosphere.

I have been to Brasserie Blanc many times, the staff are always polite, professional and friendly, nice atmosphere and the food in the main is very good, there were 7 people in our party this time and 3 of us had the steak bavette, we all found the bavette was a little too chewy, I have had this steak several times before and always found it perfect in the past. But as usual a very enjoyable experience.

Went with friends, originally booked for the Friday in error when I wanted the Saturday, rang them as soon as I realised and they amended the booking speedily and efficiently. Upon arrival the whole experience was professional and courteous but surprisingly relaxed, with a fairly informal dress code which is always pleasing. The food and wine were all excellent, my wife had the French onion soup and 2 of us had the escargot which I would highly recommend. For mains, 2 had the rump steaks, whilst the other two of us had the trout & hake, all were excellent! For dessert 1 had the ice cream which was fine, but the 3 of us all had the chocolate praline cake which was amazing! Caitlin was our hostess and she was professional, courteous and helpful throughout the evening. All in all a delightful dining experience and we will certainly return.

We have been eating here for the past seven years and never been disappointed. Always consistently good food beautifully prepared and outstanding service. Would be very nice to have the fixed price set lunch menu back !!

My wife and I had a wonderful evening with 2 good friends. The food was excellent, as always, and our waitress , Briony, was delightful.

Had my wedding lunch here and was blown away. Mary was brilliant with helping arrange everything. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue/food/service. Everything was perfect. I will be coming every year to celebrate! Thank you so much to all the staff, especially our waiter and Mary!

Delicious! I ate boquerones, hot smoked trout, oak smoked pork rib eye and the Autumn Still Life dessert. Every dish was beautifully presented and every mouthful was a delight. 😊

A really good place for Sunday lunch with great food and always friendly staff

We recently dined there to celebrate a family birthday. Great ambience and efficient service. However over priced and disappointing food. Cheese soufflé starter was tasteless. Extremely tough and chewy steak. My wife had a salmon dish which at the time she enjoyed. However within 10 minutes of arriving back home she was ill. Restaurant has failed to offer any compensation for this unfortunate event. All very underwhelming be warned!

Don’t go! I went with my family at the beginning of October. The food was mediocre and really overpriced. Steak was chewy and the cheese soufflé was gritty. All disappointing, but forgivable, as the atmosphere was buzzy and lively. However, my mum was immediately ill afterwards with food poisoning. Contacted the restaurant and had a really inadequate and generic response with no compensation offered. Really disappointing experience!

Very disappointed with the Sunday roast. It read smoked outdoor bred Pork ribeye, basically it is a gamon joint! I think this should be worded differently as I thought it would be more like a pork roast and not a lump of gamon. I did express my views to the waiter, however not to interested in what I had to say! The roast potatoes were also hard. The service was very slow! A disappointing afternoon …..

Graduation lunch for my daughter. What a fabulous experience From the moment I booked nothing was too much trouble. Cheese souffle, slow roasted pork with Armagnac & liqueurs for four. Utterly fabulous and would have no hesitation in recommending. First class meal.

We have eaten at Brasserie Blanc several times and have always been very satisfied with everything. However, our visit on Saturday 19th October for a family anniversary brunch, can only be described as mediocre. My wife had scrambled egg on sourdough with salmon, which contained very little salmon. I had scrambled on sourdough with a side of bacon, the bacon was two small overcooked offcuts and not full rashers. We both felt that the scrambled eggs were dry and over cooked. Our daughter had a full English which she thoroughly enjoyed. I am pleased to say that the coffee was excellent. Sadly this was overall a very disappointing visit. There only appeared to be 6/8 customers so it could not be called busy.

I took my girlfriend there to celebrate her 30th birthday. The team were so accommodating helping set up the table for our arrival with confetti and balloons I’d brought. They also gave my girlfriend a complementary glass of fizz and some ice cream with a candle. The food was amazing and such good value for money. The atmosphere was great too. Shout out to our waiter Louis who was great fun and so attentive and kind to us!

Lovely lunch in pleasent surroundings. Food was excellent and service was faultless. The hake grenobloise was beautifully cooked and tasted delicious. Our dessert 'Autumn still life' was a feast for the eyes as well as the pallet. Can't wait to return.

Dropped in for an unplanned dinner last night with my husband and daughter and I have to say that we were all in agreement - it was one of the best meals we’ve had in quite some time. All three courses were outstanding - in particular, the hake was delicious and my husband really enjoyed his pumpkin risotto; and the autumn still life dessert tasted as good as it looked on the plate. Service was a little slow; but we weren’t in any rush and the food and atmosphere more than made up for it! We’ll definitely go back. Thank you!

The new Autumn menu had just been released, so you might be forgiven for some teething problems...but everything was absolutely bang on! Great food, wine & service, plus as it was my birthday, there was a complimentary glass of fizz. What's not to love?

Really average fare. Nothing delightful or special or even decent to look at, the Sunday roast beef was good, the standard menu much less so.

Beautiful ambience on a Wednesday afternoon after 3pm, still thriving and humming with life. Food was lovely. I particularly enjoyed the fish soup and the cheese soufflé looked divine too. Steak cooked to perfection but would have preferred the chef had removed a little more of the thick line of gristle. No big deal. Service was relaxed and polite but not eager, and sometimes a little robotic - the right words were spoken, but not meant with any feeling. All in all, I will come back, I really liked it. Visited again September 2024 and I particularly enjoyed the sea bream. Cooked to perfection. Service lovely today.

Food is good, staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the offerings are competitively priced, and it is decorated nicely throughout. The parking is a bit rubbish, but once you get inside there isn't much to complain about. I'd particularly recommend the duck.

Really poor experience, slow service, small portions, more like a child’s meal,ran out of vanilla and chocolate ice cream, we had 4 children with us that wanted the child’s menu ice cream , unforgivable as surely this should be a standard item. We definitely will not be going back, with all the choices of restaurants in our area, do not go there! I was treating my family and felt so upset at spending over £300 for such a poor meal.

As a loyal customer, I had always enjoyed the quality and service, but this visit was a significant letdown. The overall quality of the food was subpar. The dishes we ordered were poorly prepared, lacking the finesse and flavor I have come to expect from Brasserie Blanc. However, the biggest disappointment was the desserts. They were shockingly bad, reminiscent of something one might find at an Aldi supermarket rather than in a restaurant of your caliber. It was disheartening to see the kitchen let down the otherwise excellent serving staff.

Interesting flavourful food with attentive friendly service at a fair price. Just three of us but no complaints. Without doubt we will return. Huw Walters.

I used to go every month to this brasserie as the food was proper french food , today unfortunately I have been very disappointed same as my companion… food quality very low - the starters for eg cheese soufflé tasted bitter , the cheese was a block in the middle of soufflé, the mains nothing spectacular and the deserts absolutely a joke a tasteless crumble from cheap biscuits with a suspicious mousse and with a 99p chocolate flake called chocolate and orange mousse - no taste of orange 😔and crème brûlée made from supermarket bags 😔😔😔

Excellent meal, loved the decor

Went for my birthday with my family and extended family, 8 of us all together! Was greeting by friendly staff. The restaurant felt spacious, you could hear yourself talking. Delicious food, the staff seemed happy to be there, very funny and personable! We were trying this place out as a potential for our wedding meal and we will definitely be in touch to arrange!

We had a most enjoyable lunch. I could not really fault anything. Also at a very reasonable price.

A beautiful modern venue in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town. We held a corporate event there and it went down so smoothly with delicious canapes and a super drinks selection. The staff were professional, friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great evening. Thank you for contributing to the success of our evening, we'll be back!

I brought my partner here for her birthday. An absolutely wonderful restaurant with beautiful decor, amazing service and delicious, well presented food. The selection of wines is great. The wait time for food was very good. I highly recommend Brasserie Blanc for a wonderful meal.

This isn’t the first time we have eaten here and it certainly won’t be the last. BB manages to serve really good food (consistently good in our case) at a reasonable price with efficient service. We love the Sunday lunches and the quality is great and it’s excellent value for money. Not being a pudding person I usually avoid them however, the pistachio soufflé with chocolate ice cream is outstanding. Please never take it off the menu! Carry on doing what you are doing, BB.

Came here for Sunday lunch. Started off with a cocktail in the bar then moved into the restuaran. Ordered anchovies, snails, crabs bon bons, hake, duck amd champagne chocolate balls. All were outstanding, especially the snails. They sell wine by the carafe and have a large selection of cocktails. Service was fantastic by very experienced wait staff. Will definitely be back. A few more smiles from a couple of the staff would have made the experience 100%. Good value £155 to include all the food above along with 4 glasses of wine, 2 cocktails and 3 beers. 10% service charge added.

Not a cheap place to visit but the service is always excellent and the food very good.

I rarely write reviews, however this is warranted and justified. I’m a regular in The Brasserie Blanc, Beaconsfield and the team (led by Wayne) are always so kind, friendly, efficient and professional. That’s not to mention the food and service is exceptional with high standards. Always a pleasure popping in for the odd G&T and bite to eat.

Oh my gosh, best dining experience of my life! Personally I loved the cheese soufflé! The time it took to get the food ready took a bit of time, but very understandable due to its amazing quality. Will come here again!

Been numerous times here never ever fails to give good food or service pleasent atmosphere. Can't fault the place at all. And the food is very very nice too.

Having eaten here once before and really enjoyed it, we thought we 'd give it another try. The ambiance and décor were great and the staff were friendly. Initial drinks were quickly ordered and delivered. Even though the restaurant was only about one third full, service then became very slow. Even when we finally managed to order, the food then seemed to take ages to arrive. One vegetarian dish was tasty although a bit sparse and the hake (described as served with a sauce) was more like a piece of fish swimming in a lukewarm liquid. We passed on the desert as we thought that it would take too long. Disappointing.

The new spring menu has some delicious additions like the king prawns with black rice and hake with spring vegetables. The quality of the food, the service was excellent.

We went here as a family and loved the experience. All the food we tried was delicious which included the Cheese Souffle, the lamb roulade, the trout and the pistachio souffle. The service and ambience in the restaurant was excellent.. would happily visit again..

Very disappointed with my meal today. I had the celeriac steak main, which was a slice of celeriac about 10 x 2cm, with a bit of sauce, nothing else came with it. I’m sure they don’t serve a meat or fish steak on its own. I feel a mug because the ingredients must have cost less than £1, yet I paid over £15, (and had to stop for a sandwich on route home). Whoever puts the menu together clearly doesn’t understand nutrition or vegan food as it was not a balanced meal. Will not return. How much would a couple of new potatoes and a broccoli florets add to their cost? No one at any point asked how the food was either or I would have told them.

Food is great - However I was told the restaurant had no Dijon mustard!! Only English mustard in a French restaurant. In hindsight I should have asked for someone to go out and buy some as there is a Sainsbury’s supermarket within 5 minutes walk. Call it a first world problem but very poor service

I wrote a negative review after my visit. I then received an email from management offering either 2 free main courses or £50 voucher for the discount which the waitress hadn't deducted from my bill. I replied to the email stating that I would like to have the £50 voucher. I waited a week for the voucher but nothing came through. I chased management 3 times but never got a reply. Why offer a voucher and then not send it. If this is how your customer service works then it's very disappointing. Not only did I lose out on my discount, management never follow up on their offer. Utterly disgusting, making false promises.

Consistently good food, well presented and served. Excellent value

This was my first visit to Brasserie Blanc. I absolutely will not go again and won’t recommend it to any single person who I know to go there. Rolling eyes and long faces from the host/waiter just because I took a bit longer to read the menu; and my slower response due to the waiter spoke too fast so that I couldn’t hear. Today is Mother’s Day, my family went out with me for dinner, but it was spoiled. Will definitely share this bad experience to as many people as possible to warn them off from this place.

Our visit didn't start well when we arrived, to be approached by a young man whose concept of a polite greeting was to say "Hi GUYS". I thought is this really a Raymond Blanc restaurant? We are both in our seventies neither wearing ripped jeans or carrying an iPhone so the term guys was to my mind totally inappropriate. Service was very impersonal to the point where the server didn't even ask if we wanted to order wine with our lunch. Some staff training required here on a number of fronts, Mr Blanc.

Evening meal - fish soup starter, chateau beef, cherry mouse, coffee - all lovely. Very good service - lovely atmosphere - only negative on atmosphere is the noise level - little difficult to converse, particularly if you were on a romantic night out, but still great

Nice place to go. Food was excellent. Service however was hit and miss. Staff were attentive at the start but later we twice had to find a member of staff to get things. Staff also appeared unhappy.

So the space is super nice and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive so top marks there, the breakfast we had was poor though, skimpy portions, dry hard toast, cheap pastries, everything over or under cooked. Maybe breakfast isn't their thing but i would avoid
