Superb food, excellent service, good value. Scallops with risotto were delicious, as was my wife's seabass. Tables spaced out, very pleasant decor. Would thoroughly recommend.

Calling in to Deanes Love Fish in Belfast, to try out the new lunchtime menu, was a delightful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Perched at a window seat to watch the world go by, the informal but stylish dining space is fresh and bright with hints of the seaside in the decor, perfectly mirroring the menu which champions the finest of local seafood and shellfish. We started with a carafe of zingy Chez Deaneo Sauvignon Blanc, crisp, fruity, and perfect to pair with fish. The snack of Crispy whitebait with curried mayo, and the Crab on Toast starter with celeriac, confit onion, and Granny Smith apple were both excellent appetisers. To follow, the generously portioned Fish Pie was crammed with local seafood, topped with a cheddar glazed mash, and served with buttered greens, and the dish of Scampi, arranged beautifully on the plate, was accompanied by chips, tartar sauce, house salad and a spritz of lemon. Deanes Love Fish; excellent quality, an affordable menu, gorgeous presentation, and delicious dishes.

Love Michael Deanes restaurants . We frequent love fish . We used to be served by the young lady who was always helpful and had interaction and looked after you well . Young lady is still there but I think she is now more management . We got this guy who we got before . As soon as I saw him I told the wife if he serves us I’m leaving Anyway , he showed us to our table this was under the air conditioning fan . I asked him if we could move to another table , he said we don’t have any . I spotted one behind us and he said , no it’s gone as the people who booked it booked it ages ago . So it was free the whole time we were there , until we were leaving the couple then arrived We had to freeze and be in the centre of the room . Saving grace was we were served by another guy who was great , Sadly , as that guy is there I won’t be back , don’t want to pay for an abrupt attitude . Funny how a member of staff can put you off going back somewhere . Everything was good but time to give it a miss as long as Michael has staff like this

The best that I can say is that the food was edible and reasonably priced for what we had. Why or why, cannot “fish” restaurants just serve fish. Why is such a beautiful ingredient always hidden behind a sauce or filleted to the point of nondescript. Chiefs make such a fuss about the produce, so let it talk for itself. I don’t want fish curry, I don’t want fish in batter - I want fish

We've been before and it lived up to expectations. It was quite quiet but that made for a very relaxing time. Cheerful, efficient service and very good food. Little things like linen napkins make a difference. We'll be back.

We hadn’t booked but they were very happy to accommodate us even though they were having a busy lunch . We enjoyed tempura oysters followed by mussels and soup respectively. Walked past this place whilst sightseeing in the city and thought "this looks interesting". Booked lunch for the following day and was not disappointed! My husband and I were in the restaurant at 5pm for dinner in August. I had half lobster and my husband had sea bass. The staff were very pleasant. The two meals were poor. The lobster had very little fish inside and the side salad in the bowl was small and dripping in oil and not well presented. My husbands salad was the same and his fish did not taste nice. We both had a beer before our meal which was flat and not nice. My husband did not drink his. I had a glass of wine with my meal which was fine. Not long after my meal my stomach was rumbling. Later that evening my husband said his was the same. Next day my stomach continued to be upset. Hence to say that I will not be back to Deans Love Fish again. I would not even accept a free meal. We have been a few times to Deans on the Lisburn Road. The food there has been good with excellent service. Extremely disappointed

Nice location, arrived and asked to seat at window table. Not my favorite when people passing by observe my plate…. Daily specials not all available, because too many people today…. Then after 5 mins waitress came and said other 2 dishes from kitchen was finish ( my favorite at that time…). Choose the mussels, and she told us mussels are not ad described in the menu but different sources…. All photo in the site are related to dishes not in the menu…… Dishes were sufficiently good, but presented with a not good looking without passion, kitchen should work more on the dish presentation and more on the wow effect. Final chocolate dessert was not Relly dark as described in the menu. Wine was not cold enough. I would give a 5 out of 10. Not back any more. Service good but slow.

My favourite restaurant for a Saturday afternoon lunch , I always have 2 starters just never seem to make my mind up on one , I opted for the fish fritters and the brown crab rarebit £6.50 each if I remember correctly, both really good , my wife had the Whitebait with curry mayonnaise £6.50 crispy and delightful, our mains were a fish pie with greens £18 and a Lobster with salad and fries £27.50 , water £4.75, Chez Deano Sauvignon £28.95 and a French Martini £10.95 , the fish pie was topped with great creamy potato with plenty of fish inside, my half Lobster was cooked to perfection in all a great day out with well cooked food and good service as always wouldn’t expect anything else from Love Fish 👍👨🏻‍🍳
