Our third bottomless brunch, Halloween theme this time, they are not to be missed, great value for money, attentive staff, Sandra, the host is fab and gets the party vibe going! Can’t wait til the next one 😋

Visited on Sunday for birthday celebration. The staff were amazing, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Food came quickly, was piping hot and tasted wonderful. A great experience. Fully recommend!

We attended our third bottomless brunch on Saturday 2nd November and it certainly didn't disappoint. Every one we have been too has been well organised and we have both had an amazing time full of laughs and silliness. We've met some great friends who also regularly attend and it really does promote a fun and friendly atmosphere. Sandra, the host is brilliant, as is the rest of the team but Sandra goes that extra mile to welcome us in and certainly doesn't let our glasses get empty (despite my best efforts!) Would highly recommend.

We love this place! It's the perfect blend of lively, friendly and welcoming. There's always so much going on and the staff are incredible. We went for a kids' Halloween party which was fantastic. Sandra and Robin were wonderful hosts and the kids loved it. Food and drink are always top draw! Thanks guys, we'll be back soon!

Absolutely love this place, though I must admit it is a place I only ever go when I know I have the money. Me and my sister used to go here a lot, they do a lot of gluten free options that taste really good. I've also been here with my partner too. On one occasion we made a food order and sat outside with our drinks. The waitress came over to give us our order and accidentally dropped the fries all over the table. We told her it was ok, and my partner laughed about it saying he would still eat them. But the poor girl was so upset by what she did, she couldn't stop apologising and told us we could get another bowl of fries free of charge. Wow! Accidents happen, and she was very apologetic and kind about the incident. We thanked her profusely. Lovely staff besides that incident to begin with anyways, I've always liked the atmosphere here. I also think it's brilliant for vegetarian options too with regards to pizzas

Got a cheesewurst from here and it was delicious with a side of sauerkraut which I loved. The place looks great the people are nice and friendly i would highly recommend it

I would recommend anyone visiting Chesterfield to go to Einsteins. Food is good and very good value. Great selection of drinks and great coffee. You won't be disappointed.

Great German beer pub with authentic German food, well cooked and presented. Good range of beers served in stein litre measures. Comfortably busy.

Attended Einstens for a wedding reception. I've based my scores on the time we attended and the type function that we attended for. This does not speak for all times of day. Small function room was set out cosily, with plenty of seating. We had access to the main bar too. Drinks service was a little slow, considering the function was small. However, this did not take away from the welcoming staff and the care they took with each customer. Food was hot and tasty with a good variety. Staff ensured food was either replenished or removed quickly. Clean and tidy, although our table was full of empties, prompting myself to clean it twice during my stay. Would definitely visit again.

The staff were friendly and the venue is nice, but the food was very dry, over-cooked and had no taste - overpriced for the poor quality of food.

Boy oh boy! If you've come to Einstein's, you have infact truly found a gem. The bar itself is quaint and well stocked with beverages of all kinds to tickle your fancy. The steins are as cheaply priced as they are large. Personally, I couldn't go past ordering a currywurst. Which was to put it lightly, was just divine. Talking to the bar staff I discovered that they are all top-notch people who would gladly pour you a stein in an upbeat manner with a smile. Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area. There's also crayons and pictures on the back of the kids' menus to keep that one friend busy ;)

Had a few hours to kill on my way through Chesterfield, ended up in here for a drink and decided to get food also. Was not disappointed at all, the food was fantastic and the service very friendly.

Great pub had an amazing burger and live the big stein's of beer.

Came here for bottomless brunch which was a themed Mama Mia tribute! Had so much fun. The cocktails were lovely and we were always topped up with drinks! Can’t wait to book our next one! Thank you!

Dry, double fried pork escalope. One staff member is unable to be attentive. No real atmosphere although nice decor. Presentation needs work.

Can't comment on food or atmosphere as failed to get served despite being 6ft 3in fat and 20 stone, get new bar staff who serve customers in order of queue. Door staff very apologetic and obviously customer focused unlike bar staff. Avoid this place where inside they employ only onanists behind the bar.

We used to visit Einsteins regularly due to the extensive menu and good vegan options, and the atmosphere. So we decided to book it as venue for our birthday celebration when booking I was told over the phone that because we had a party of more than 5 we should pre- choose what we want to order, but being as it was a birthday meal and multiple households we decided against it as the menu is vast enough. When we ordered, two choices of our meals were unavailable, (no buns for burgers ) and after we had paid we was told a further meal was unavailable. This being due to them apparently having 50% off mon-Friday in the daytime, something we were not told over the phone, and would of justified us pre-ordering rather than just being told because we were more than 5 people. The food arrived and was tasty, however the price is slightly too much for what was on some of the dishes, and there was no-one in the restaurant, including staff , so the atmosphere felt a little flat and the service was a bit inattentive. Also on reflection, I’m sure burger buns could of been purchased locally to allow the evening service to run smoothly, as they still had the burgers. When the dishes were collected, we were rather abruptly told yet again that we should of ordered again, when we didn’t even ask the question (quite arrogant and rude attitude) and upon visiting the bar for a last drink the bar staff seemed more interested in their personal phone call than providing “customer service”, and an opportunity to rectify the mediocre evening. I fully appreciate having promotions makes the place busy in usually non-busy times, but it shouldn’t be at the detriment of the evening full-price-paying customers or vibe of the place, particularly if they can’t deal with “said demand” My suggestion perhaps lower the price on dishes, that reflect their content and it will be consistently busier without the need for promotions and it will also be easier to regulate staff levels, and create more consistency between day and evening service. A bit disappointing compared to how it was 6- months ago, but certainly opportunities and feedback to improve on.

Cocktails amazing, staff on point, the food order let them down, was very unorganised.

Food was so so delicious,great portion size .Staff absolutely fantastic,getting served,fixing wobbly table.Thanks.The only low point was tha Magners cider, worst cider I've ever had,My homebrew cider is 100% tastier.There are far better choices of cider on the market, eg Aspalls,Stowford press,Strongbow. Highly recommend having a few options at your great establishment for customers to choose from.Will visit again soon..Thanks.

Just fabulous traditional German fare, very high quality, the strudel and the sticky toffee pudding were real stand out deserts, so much better than usual. The main courses were just sublime, cooked to perfection, good range of well kept beers. Even the toilet facilities were excellent and well kept. We had a lot of food and could have eaten less, but frankly we spoiled ourselves shamelessly.

I love this place! Always fast fast and friendly service, great beers and just a stone's throw from the station! Ideal if you've been walking the local hills/canal, or if you're stumbling back from the Brampton mile 😉

Great food, very friendly staff. The big disappointed was that there's no accessible toilet and I wasn't able to get my client in the men's toilet. 😒

Came in May, was 50% off food mid week, I had stake, it was the best stake I have tasted in a long time, melted in your mouth Husband had mixed grill and enjoyed that too, will definaly be returning again, lovely staff spoke to Sandra who checked everything was okay with out food

Fantastic all around! Booked for a surprise birthday meal and we had Ellie as our waitress. She was attentive and very friendly as well as helping with all our requests. Pre ordered food due to table size and made amendments and service was amazing. The food all arrived at the same time, was served hot and tasted delicious. Truly something for everyone on the menu! Made to feel very welcome and had a wonderful experience. Thank you!

Very inattentive staff, borderline rude. The pizzas were nice but slightly overpriced. The "honeyed halloumi" was dreadful, barely warm halloumi in a puddle of honey served on a sticky plate. Good range of German beers but doesn't quite nail the bierhaus vibe

Came at 5.30 on Saturday, didn't reserve a table but lots were already reserved. Lovely vibrant atmosphere, we ordered the fruit beer which was absolutely incredible. Then ordered an Albert's platter between two (hungry and big appetites!) Wow, we were very very impressed, I wasn't expecting such quality food if I'm honest, we were very pleasantly surprised. Fully recommend the food here, very very nice! 2 pints and the platter cost £35, which for two was absolutely incredible value for such good food. Will be back!

We got there at 6.45 pub was absolutely rammed ,went to bar to get a drink told the barmaid we had a table booked so took my card for a tab ,she went away came back took us into the dining room and never saw her again, wasn't told we had to go to bar to order nothing had to fetch menus ourselves, 15mins later I went to ask a server Logan who was most apologetic and said it was because of the show next door which we knew nothing about ,why do they take the booking if they can't meet them ?? So paid for drinks and left after being told 45mins wait fir food!!! It was my partners birthday absolutely diabolical service not impressed at all !!!

Booked for a group of 10 of us, day before New Year's eve. The atmosphere was great, food was delicious and the cocktails were beautiful. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

The meals arrived and the Waitress said nearly dropped it thrusting my meal towards me, staff was rude , i ate my dinner on my own , should eaten together not happy worst restaurant ever, my partner disabled and made more food ,refused to give to him , you should be ashamed treating disabled man bad

Steer clear if you have any form of Disability the manageress refused to serve me food, mine arrived then she took it away as I'm disabled

Great place to just pop in for a drink or a bite to eat. Especially if you like German. Attentive staff and great variety of drinks and food. Definitely a go to place if looking for a night out a little different.

First visit to Einstein’s on Friday night before watching Simon Brodkin at The Winding Wheel. Pre ordered our food for our party of ten. We were waiting over 50 minutes to receive our food and when it did eventually arrive three members of our party were disappointed with their meals. My wife spoke to Amber, the Manager and she was exceptional at dealing with our complaint. On the whole,Staff were helpful in guiding us on which drink we would like in a Stein and let us sample first. Food was delicious-maybe a steak pie would be better served on a plate rather than a bowl-just a suggestion. Our first visit left us all thinking yes we would return but that was all down to the professionalism and first class customer relations by your manager, Amber. We were all impressed by her and the way she ensured we all left happy and invited us back after the comedy show. She clearly suits that role and deserves recognition from her boss because staff like Amber are rare and need to be appreciated and praised for going above and beyond in their role.

I absolutely love this place. The music is great and fun. The staff so friendly and helpful and the food and beer fantastic. I cannot recommend highly enough and we are quite difficult customers to please. My wife used to run one of the biggest food festivals in the Country so we have a bit of experience in the industry. We only went by chance on a three night holiday and went back three nights on the trot. Met so many wonderful Chesterfield people. Einsteins thank you so much for making us so welcome.

OK.. had a great time at the Rocky Horror Brunch. Sandra was top notch. Our glass was never empty. Rocky horror was silent on the TV whilst normal.music was played. Yes the film has talking but that's what people payed for. Play the film other punters wouldn't have minded. They did after asking played the sound track. Small gripe on a brilliant event. Thankyou Sandra. I was soooo drunk

Attended on a Tuesday night,so is pretty quiet, however staff are friendly and helpful. Their Albert platter sharer was more than enough food for 2 people, we took a takeaway box home with the leftovers. Definitely worth seeing on a busier evening to find out what the atmosphere is like

I hsve been to Einsteins on a few occasions and it never disappoints. Most recently we went for the Dorty Dancing bottomless brunch, was so much fun from start to finish.

There was four of us ,each one of us ordered a different meal ,each meal was cooked and served to perfection. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a enjoyable evening,many thanks to all the staff.

Amazing food, had a little wait for it to all come out but was in a large group. Wasn't very busy but still a good atmosphere. Reasonably priced.

Didn't manage to fulfil our food order. The missing hummus was replaced with garlic mayo🤔 and didn't let us know until it was bought to the table! Shy of Goats cheese on our chosen pizza too. Maybe it was poor menu choices but won't be going back.

I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could! I’m a fan of Einsteins but this weekend, a friend and I did the 80’s brunch. Didn’t really know what to expect but it was so much fun! If you’re looking for a way to celebrate or just to have a fun time, can’t recommend this brunch enough! Cocktails flowed (as did the Prosecco and beer) and the food was delicious (happily recommend smashed avo on toast!). Staff were fantastic too. Can’t wait for the next one!

Been here a few times and food was always good. However the last time we were there the service was really poor... I hope they sort this out as food is good... Some of my guests said they will not return due to the service.

We were in Chesterfield for a wedding and we had a few hours to kill and we’re starving! The bride’s groom suggested Einstein’s and it was definitely worth the recommendation! I had a fuerric pizza with a side of coleslaw! Very flavourful and reasonable prices! You have to order drinks and food at the bar and pay when you do so! Highly recommend!

Having called into Einstein's sister pub (which wasn't serving food) we crossed the churchyard. Absolute gem of a place. Excellent German beer and food. Not what you might expect in Chesterfield. The service was also excellent from the young staff. Word of warning: the food is very hearty. You'll not want a starter.

We visited here after an abysmal pride after party in a nearby venue. Happily, we were greeted by incredibly friendly staff and a very modern and Bavarian venue. There is a plethora of Germanic beers on tap and the staff seemed very accommodating in us sampling beers until we found the right Stein for us! The atmosphere inside is lively and this is certainly carried on outside with an inviting beer garden. Overall, I’d you’re a local or visiting the city as we are, I’d highly recommend a visit to this lovely place!

UPDATED REVIEW: Decided to take a couple of stars off my review score (see previous review below) because the last couple of times we've been it's been a bit of a downer because of the staff. One time i got the impression that they'd all fallen out with each other and this latest time the person behind the bar made it clear that they really didn't want to be there and generally bummed us out. I'm not expecting them to do cartwheels but they could at least pretend to be vaguely interested (to be fair though one of the staff members we spoke to was perfectly fine). Also, apparently they no longer sell the ABK Pilsner despite this still being on the menu, so there's less choice in terms of what's available. MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: We've been here a few times and would really recommend it. Great food and beer and the staff have always been v friendly and helpful. We've only ever been in the day time but there's always been a nice relaxed vibe and the beer garden is excellent too. Can't fault it so thanks a lot Einsteins!

Great drinks and food. We had a problem with my meal but it was quickly resolved and I think the staff went above and beyond. We will be going back.

Spent most of our evening here on a works leaving do, we were given a side room for our team, great feature type wall made from what appeared to be planks of wood.. Good decor! Great food with good sizes! Drinks were priced well and they had a good selection of beer and spirits and wine.. Which I love because I like a flavoured vodka! 👏 👌 Toilets were nice and clean. Staff were friendly and nicely dressed. Would definitely go again and the whole team agreed! Thanks guys! 👏 👌

8 of us visited Einsteins at 17:15 prior to going to see a show in Chesterfield at 19:30. Things started out OK and then gradually went from bad to worse. 2 of us ordered pork knuckle which we were told would take 40 minutes. This was at 17:25. At 18:25 nothing had arrived so I went to chase it up. The lad in charge had to keep apologising as things kept going wrong. It looked like there was a new barman, who actually did his best by keeping fairly calm as the bar became busier. He did however need some support and I asked the lad in charge if he'd consider going behind the bar! A third member of staff just stood chatting at the bar! Re-training needed, but I won't return here.

Came here on a Friday night, staff served us very quickly even though it was fairly busy and they were polite & friendly. Great atmosphere in the place but if you're looking for a quiet place to eat, either choose somewhere else or sit outside. We both had a hotdog and fries, which honestly wasn't spectacular. The food was rather bland and the hot dog/bun was very dry, we also both had to ask for sauces that were supposed to come with it, which she immediately brought to us when asked. We would probably return and try something else off the menu. Salted caramel coffee martini was absolutely fantastic though and my partner loved his mango cider!

Came to relieve the night before with a bite to eat and a small large hair of the dog. Summer Peach cocktail was divine and woke up the food belly which was not disappointed. Jack Daniels bbq ribs NOM. Followed with pork fillet wrapped in Prosciutto with a creamy mushroom sauce, roasted potatoes and wilted spinach. OOOOH NOM!! We will definitely be coming back!!

Unclean & flat beer. Unfortunately you can tell this place is never deep cleaned, also my pint of Jaipur was flatter than John Smith's smooth.
