Excellent service with a smile from the staff, particularly our waitress Evie. Food was tasty and freshly cooked. Atmosphere and decor provided pleasant place to enjoy food with friends.

Great place, great food. Been there on a few occasions and the deals pricing is always unclear. Was not offered my second bottle of wine as the Mon deal was meal & wine. More training is required for staff to clarify deals. What you can and can't have so you re not presenting with an unexpected bill

As always a friendly welcome, excellent food and excellent service. Clean and tidy. A favourite place to eat when my sister and I meet for lunch.

Have eaten here many times. I took my wife and our son here for Mother's day, I have to say we had a lovely time, out waitress was nice and polite for the time we were there. The food was beautiful, from the starter to the pudding. My wife and son had the steak which was very tasty and cooked perfectly. I know some of the reviews aren't great but my experience was very pleasant. I will return. thanks all at Ego.

I went for my birthday meal with my husband and had a hanging kebab. While the food was really nice my experience with the hanging kebab was not! I took the tortilla wrap from the bottom dish and cut the wrap in half. I proceeded to fill the wrap with 2 chunks of chicken and some veg. I was happily chomping away and casually glanced to the side and my kebab had disappeared. All that was left was 1 chunk of chicken and a tiny bit of veg. I looked on the floor and there was the rest of my kebab. I called the waitress over and half expected her to say she would get me a little more chicken and veg. But she just laughed and cleared it away. I had the remaining chunk of chicken in the other half of my wrap but then was left with one wrap with nothing to put in it. Everyone was looking and laughing. The guy next to me took all of his meat off the hanging kebab and put it all on his plate. Note to self: Next time don't leave the kebab hanging!! Put it all on your plate!! It turned out to be a snack rather than my main meal 😩

The service was unacceptable, the waitress did not smile once and every question we asked we seemed to be putting her out. The meal was very disappointing, majority of meals were Luke warm, missing sauce from the mussels and asked for bbq sauce which was given to us in a holder surrounded with ketchup…..the waitress didn’t even notice, I had to point it out to her. There was no pride taken in her role……no one asked if the meal was ok. We will not return, as the price was a lot more than expected for the quality and quantity…….lots more nicer eateries in area ☹️

Nice looking place in a fairly busy area off a motorway but inside looks tired. Starter of fresh bread and olives came with stale bread. We complained and not charged but we do not go out to complain, we just want the meal as described without complaint. The mains in my opinion were overpriced and poorly presented although they were edible. Overall we had what I would expect in a much less expensive pub meal. We would not go again, there are plenty of better options

Family of 3 Sunday lunch. We opted for 2 courses asking the waitress if my daughter’s main could be bought out with our starter. Then her dessert with our main. Was told that was no problem. Our starter arrived and was eaten before any sign of the kids meal. When the kids meal did arrive I asked if our main could be bought out so we could at least have that course together. That didn’t happen either… We went out to eat as a family but unfortunately they couldn’t quite sync our 2 courses. With the bill coming in at over £70 I had hoped for better. Been several times before and not had any issues.

Great spot for food. They had a band playing the night we visited adding to the good vibes the restaurant exudes. A little bit pricey but not overly. Two for one on cocktails kept us very happy. Will visit again.

As ever, another great meal at Bromsgrove Ego! Really great and friendly staff and good quality food. We are a regular! We have yet tohave a bad experience.

An impromptu visit after a day out, and well worth it. We had the lamb rump and beef bourguignon which were delicious, not massive portions, but just right as left room for dessert. Sticky toffee pudding and cheese cake, again both very enjoyable. Wasn’t cheap, but no more expensive than other good pub food. Well worth a visit, just a pity it isn’t closer to where we live, as we’d visit more frequently.

We’ve been going to Ego at the Forest for about 3 years but the standards have really slipped in the last year. Today was the last chance we’ll give it. £79 for two adult and one kids roasts, and one round of soft drinks. Roasts that were no better than a Toby carvery and definitely lacking in portion size. I was appalled at the final bill for what we had. Nail in the coffin for us. Money is getting tighter and this kind of value just can’t be justified.only gave it two stars because the beef was actually delicious. Everything else was mediocre AT BEST.
