Effy in Nottingham

Great coffee. Fortunate to be staying in apartments opposite - so grateful Effy was on my doorstop. An open on a Sunday too. Nice vibe and friendly staff too.

A really lovely independent coffe business. The best coffee in Nottingham, also serving delicious sweet treats, the hazelnut and sea salt cookie is incredible and perfect along side a flat white! Recommended if you need a morning coffee!!

Stopped in at this really nice Coffee House in town. It’s a small and intimate setting with great coffee. Really good quality as we had a range of drinks and some lovely Cinnamon Buns. A great way to kick off the day!

Excellent coffee in this minimalist designed cafe which specialises in coffee. The coffee was delicious and the banana bread we complemented it with was moist and tasty. Staff were friendly and service quick. A great place for coffee in the city.

You will not beat this coffee. The staff and the product I cannot speak highly enough of. The décor and general feel of the business is wonderfully inviting, complimented with fully knowledgeable staff and an array of fresh pastries!

This quaint vibrant little place is the perfect hidden gem in Notts. No thrills or flashy menu, just honest simple good coffee and a selection of absolutely delicious cakes and sandwiches. There’s ample coffee shops to choose from in nottingham but this place is fast becoming my favourite, the latte art is always perfect, so much care always goes into it and it tastes so creamy and rich. Service is always friendly and chilled. The venue gives off modern hipster with a splash of 70s style, quite unique which gives them an edge. Thank you for making this place great, I’ll definitely be coming back!

Lovely grilled cheese sandwich and coffee today. Tea also nicely presented. Would definitely return and the staff were very friendly.

On a relative’s recommendation I visited today. The tiny cafe was full, with two staff on duty. I approached the counter where the barista was making an espresso and the other staff member was waiting to take it. Neither acknowledged me so I waited patiently for them to finish. That done the waiter squeezes past me without comment and the barista began to make two more drinks. No eye contact, no acknowledgement of my presence, no ‘I’ll be with you shortly’. Result: one lost customer. Appalling customer care. My recommendation to others will be different. Plenty of welcoming cafes to choose from.

Such a lovely little coffee shop! Great vibes, really really nice coffee, staff are lovely. So glad that we stumbled across this independent coffee shop. Would definitely return if in Nottingham in the future.

Chose to go to Effy on a visit to Nottingham after reading the reviews of their coffee and the look of the place was a bonus. Arrived about 10am on a weekday so it was reasonably quiet. A little bigger than I thought but as pretty as expected! Ordered a long black and my husband had a latte. We were both really impressed by the quality. The café was lovely and clean as was the toilet. Didn't eat here but the small but impressive menu (with lovely looking vegan options) was tempting. Will definitely visit again.

Great staff, great service, and great coffee. Simple, but perfect! It's not pretentious, and it's located in an easily accessible, but quiet spot in the centre of Nottingham.

Best coffee in town, hands down. Please please get air-conditioning though. It’s stifling on hot days and the poor staff!
