Efes Restaurant in Tower Hamlets

Ate at Efes pizza across the street from restaurant. Never had a Turkish pizza so figured when in London… a little like a flatbread pizza but shaped like a boat. Was not too bad, gave you a couple dipping sauces to go with it.

Food was fine .... £7.90 FOR A COKE! £7.90 FOR A COKE! Did I mention ... £7.90 FOR A COKE! and £7 for Cranberry Juice At Whitechapel; not Oxford Street!! WHAT!?

Delicious! Our first time here but certainly won’t be our last. We were recommended this restaurant by a friend and it lived up to all expectations. Every element of every dish was delicious. The Pulled Beef Ribs with Hummus was stunning!! Friendly and attentive service. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Every time we visit London we eat at Efes. This was our last time. They are too expensive now and the service charge 12% (!) killed the vibe completely. The food is very good, no question but the price is just obscene.

Servizio cordiale, ci siamo accomodati al piano di sotto in quanto sopra era già tutto pieno. Per chi è del luogo, questo ristorante è una buona consuetudine. Per me è stata un'ottima esperienza.

This is one of the best Turkish Restaurants I have been to. The surroundings are pleasing as well as an outdoor seating terrace. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Most importantly the food is superb from a wide ranging menu at reasonably prices. If you are looking for a pleasant dining experience this is the place for you.

Super restaurant , plats de qualité, accueil et propreté impeccable. En revanche je le trouve super cher pour ce qu’on mange , une brochette de poulet un peu de riz et une feuille de salade pour 20£ c est un peu cher payé.

Rien à changer ! Personnel très accueillant et efficace et qui ne pousse pas à la consommation. Rapport qualité prix parfait. Nourriture et boissons comme en Turquie. Et tout ça dans une ambiance très agréable. N hésitez pas si vous passez par là à vous arrêter.

J’ai pris un iskender, je suis vraiment déçue. Rien à voir avec le vrai iskender turc pourtant le restaurant est bien turc. La viande de kebab était pas super bonne. Je vous conseille de prendre plutôt les grillades c’est meilleur. Les serveurs sont souriants et serviables. Une salade est offerte pour toute commande c’est vraiment gentil. We loved the atmosphere and the service was excellent. The food was good but not excellent and I was disappointed that they had no low alcohol beer, very unusual these days. Coke zero just didn't cut it!

This is Turkey outside Turkey! I had dinner here - imam bayildi (baked aubergines) and was immediately transported back to holidays in Istanbul! Very tasty, familiar flavours. I had a snack of olives (my only comment would be to go easy on the vinegar on the olives!), and they also brought two dips and bread just like I always had in Turkey. Delicious meal, will probably go back tomorrow! The staff could be a little friendlier at first. After I took an interest in the restaurant and Turkey, they all opened up and became very chatty, but I felt a bit out of place for the first five minutes or so. The interior is filled with Turkish memorabilia and definitely worth a look around. Plenty of Turks eat here, which is always a good sign.

I booked a table for 14 people for a business dinner. The restaurant emailed me to confirm the booking immediately after. I had to invite a few more people and emailed the restaurant if it's possible to change the booking to 20 people instead. No response 5 days. I called them today (the booking was in one week time) and asked if it's possible to change this or if someone could respond back to my email. I have been told this can be changed to 20 people but I will have to pay £10/person. That was absolutely fine with me as I know you need some sort of clarity when you have a big group of people but I had no bank details/confirmation email to do so. The person on the phone was abrupt and wasn't able to explain how I should pay this if I have no details. Then he just told me he was going to cancel the booking for the 14 people. I agreed it was the best option. I was politely ending the phone call and the person working in the restaurant just hang up on me. Extremely impolite and unprofessional. Wouldn't recommend.

Been to Turkey many times over the years and one of the main reasons is the tasty food The Efes food is as good as that found in Turkey Great food and friendly people

We hadden de Mezes (starters) genomen. Bestond uit Halloiumi, turkse worstjes, cold mix meze met peterselie, sazuka, tzatziki, hummus, russian salade en brood. was erg lekker allemaal en lekkere vlotte bediening.

Stayed at the Hampton by Hilton London City…. Recommended by one of the workers. Food and service was excellent! Would definitely come back.

We pre-booked for an evening meal. Food and service was in general quite good. However, the server's were always checking to see if we had finished - so they could remove our plates etc. They even began wiping the table, more in preparation for the next sitting than cleaning our mess. Finally we were basically asked to leave as they had other reservations. All in all we stayed a little over an hour. I know the business needs to make £, but at no time were we told (either on confirmation or when we were seated) there was a limit on the time. Thought it was poor. And we still had to pay the service charge!

Lovely restaurant. Expensive fit out. Staff very helpful & friendly . Food disappointing. Not like other Turkish food I’ve had. Starter of lambs liver previously cooked and reheated. Dried up and very disappointing. Main of lamb kleftico again disappointing: very tender but lamb ?( or mutton?). Poor flavour . Won’t be going again. Pity as I was really looking forward to trying it .

I stumbled across Efes whilst looking for food and away with work. It looked busy when I walked past so I went in. I wasn’t disappointed!! It had a great feel to it, really friendly staff, great service and amazing food!! The food came really quickly and was great quality. If you like Turkish food and meat dishes I would definitely recommend. I’ll be back

First of all I would like to point out they do competitions but do not announce winners instead delete posts. We decided to visit to see what it was all about. Disappointed, poor service and chicken was pink inside.

The worst place i have eve been. The lamb doner wrap is 10.95 but when you are planing seats in , they did not say anything that is price is different when you are seating in. Please do not go there. This “restaurant “is cheaters!
