Efes kebab house in Shropshire

Quite confused , ordered a burger and some onion rings and they delivered this? Could’ve been a mistake , not 100% sure Wouldn’t recommend

Really rude stuff with bad attitude towards customers, I ordered the food I said to them could u pleas not touch ur nose or any body parts while serving they turn around swearing. I was like ur guys r disgusting rude staff on top the place was unclean o would not recommend this place to anyone to go and get food avoid this shop sham on them and there rudeness

Everyone living in this country has the right to say and this country belongs to everyone living, not just the British, the United Kingdom does not mean a single state, we have endless respect for our veterans and martyrs, do not pay attention to empty words, I don't know which kebab you support but EFES is always the best, only Shrewsbury does this. Not that Shopshire knows either.

To hear that the staff were communicating hate crime towards veterans on Remembrance Day is totally disgusting and awful. These people need to wake up and realise who's country they are in. Or shut up shop up shop and leave! Disgusting and disgraceful behaviour!!!! And they are still doing it as of June 2024! This is totally unacceptable, please share out about this awful takeaway!

Placed order online twice and received emails saying order had been received. Hour and 20 minutes later I phoned up to see where my order was to be told they weren’t doing delivery’s. Was no notification before hand to say that.

Worse place ever, owner told us to leave the shop for taking too long to order and started swearing at us. DONT COME HERE!

Absolutely useless tbh,, rude let alone not on top of there payments,, could of happily been a theft and taken from them but to honest and the order wasn't right,, tried to pay and then charged me more for paying by card in delivery when that wasn't stated in the order,, shame because they do actually do good food but the service t9day was shocking tbh

Like the other reviews have highlighted, I disliked their attitude. It wasn't my first time, but it's safe to say this will be the last one This visit, I thought I'll try their chicken doner meat (pictured here) and settled on the kids box, which is also enough for someone with a lower appetite like mine. The owner wasn't happy and though he proceeded to make it, he reiterated about how it "was for families with kids, who spend over 50 pounds and then he'd just put a small box for the kids, that was it, not for adult people and that he was making an exception for me". The kids deal comes with a drink for 5 pounds, which I was not given and decided not to ask for. A coworker entered the shop, but he still kept passing remarks and talking about how I should eat more calories, that the box was meant for 3 year olds. Embarrassing behaviour to say the least. I get that there may be a cultural difference where Asian men think it is acceptable behaviour, but rude is rude anywhere. 3 stars for the food, its passable and nothing you'd miss

I don't normally leave reviews but after my recent experience i feel its very much needed. I popped in after a night out- It was relatively quiet with 2 staff members on shift. The main server was overly short, snappy and abrupt when taking our order. When asked if I wanted salad (that particular item was actually for a friend) I declined. The main server then turned to his colleague and started talking in his native language and they both started laughing. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out they were being derogatory. Ended up paying quickly and getting out of there. All in all not a very nice experience. Food was ok but there are plenty of other kebab shops in Shrewsbury with far more friendly staff!

The behaviour of the staff is not acceptable.. Rude and no manners. I witnessed one the staff member behaving badly to two ladies.. He said unnecessary comments to me also . I will not go to buy anything from there any more. He will ruin the business I am sure .

Awful. Staff pulled up outside and were aggressive that I was stood on the pavement (out of their way). They then came back out of the shop and shoved me and threatened me as I did not move from even though I was standing in a normal/acceptable position. This place was good in 1995 and they’ve stayed there, poor service, mediocre food at best and would avoid if in Shrewsbury.

ordered a donner kebab. I asked for salad to be wrapped separatel, they wanted to charge me £1.50 but then went on to wrap my chill peppers separately. attitude poor. serve poor

Incredibly rude man, who I think was the owner. I couldn’t hear how much he said my order was, and I thought he’d misheard how many portions I needed, so I glanced at the amount on the Pinpad to check he’d heard me correctly before I put my pin in. He then shouted at me for looking at the amount shouting that if I didn’t trust him I should just ask for a receipt. I tried to explain why I’d looked (& aren’t you supposed to look anyway before you pay for things?) but he just carried on shouting at me which was really embarrassing as there were loads of people in there. He’d also shouted at the lady before me in the queue as he’d got her order wrong and apparently that was her fault, even though I heard what she’d ordered and it was his mistake. I’ve not been in there before & I won’t be returning.

Literally order from this place once a week…food is normally great. Ordered tonight but was cold when arrived so have the restaurant a call to advise. What ensued was a complete joke….from them saying would replace to eventually then saying they’d pick up the food for evaluation! Absolute chaos and frankly a joke. Ended up with a refund and for us to never use again. Your business not mine…crazy…good luck

Real life-saver! We'd just gotten back from a wedding and were starving. It was just past midnight and they were about to close but still made us a kebab. Really nice lad! Would highly recommend!

Went in here yesterday for some food, have to say wasn’t the place we had in mind, but the fish and chip shop we was going to was closed, have to say we are glad we went into here, staff were friendly and food was very nice, was asked if we wanted sauce and salt and vinegar, plenty of choice on the menu and price was fair, I would recommend.

Menus Good, Plenty of selection, Reasonable prices, Nice staff, Fast service, friendly, Hygiene of good standard- in & outside shop!

I wanted cod fish, he gave me a cheap fillet and told me it’s cod fish that was hard and burnt. Food was cheap quality had no taste at all. Pricey aswel, what a waste of money. Will never come back here again!

Had kebabs from here a few times. Always really good. The mixed chicken and lamb donner is huge, more than I could eat. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit for a takeaway dinner.

Order 2 kebabs one small one large delivered 2 small kebabs phone them up instead they said to me sorry they ended the call disgusting service P.S I was costumer since 2008 so I know how looks big and small sizes.

We were fans of this place previously; unfortunately when I called this evening to let them know that they had forgotten the chips on our order they merely said 'remind me next time' and put the phone down on me. I would have thought the professional thing to do would be to offer to bike them round as we are only in Castlefields and long standing customers but perhaps not.

Needed reviving after buttermarket. Mixed kebab was delicious.

When they get your order wrong and can't just admit it but shout at you down the phone then hang up...I know exactly what I ordered I'm a regular.

They do a fantastic Chicken kebab with lovely fresh salad. Pitta was on the small side.

Lamb shish was ok, but half the chunks were chewy. Lamb doner was the reformed meat stuff which I guess is pretty standard for this park of the country. Salad and chilli sauce were very nice. Chilli peppers had a strange taste to them. Would be good to have a chicken and lamb shish combination

Having not visited Efes previously, thought try with a little trepidation based on some Trip Advisor comments.Having a garden firepit evening with neighbours thought ideal quick food fixMy wife found it was friendly telephone conversation upon placing our order and unusually no prepayment required.We ordered 2 boxes of mixed kebabs , chips , salad and flatbread. Upon collection , the owner was very helpful to ensure they had interpreted our order correctly and seemed concerned it came to £23 which I thought appeared to be reasonable value if of course the food was acceptable.We sat outside warmed by the firepits with our neighbours and all thought meats, salad, breads were quite tasty.As there was a good quantity of food in each box we ate half and finished off the rest cold later which was still very tasty.Unfortunately it appears customers have experienced various levels of food quality and service. We can only go by our initial experience and based on this will definitely give Efes another go

Today my fiance (pregnant) Told me she fancies a kebab, so we went to efes, and after the guy who ignored us for 5 min(nobody else was in the shop) Asked what we want, (in a very rude way) we told him what we would like to have, but we forgot to say no onions with the salad, so he told to my fiance(in a very rude way again)next time to think twice before she's ordering because we wasting his time. This was our last kebab in Efes, I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. I can't believe some people they can run a business, with this kind of attitude.😥

Kebabs were ok. Rather greasy . Horrible pitta bread and salad abit limp. Chips were hot and fresh . The men behind the counter are only interested in the girls that come in . My wife found it quite disturbing and she’s no prude . They leer at the girls waiting . Come out of the back when someone else walks in to check them out . Can imagine secret cameras and all sorts going here. Told my daughter and her friends never to go in . These men need checking to see if they aren’t on a offenders list . It’s that bad. Ladies please beware .

Just had my first Efes doner in years and very quickly remembered why it’s been that long. Meat very thinly sliced but rock hard. £9 for a doner and a portion of chips. Could never understand why this place holds a fabled place in the hearts of many. Overrated and overpriced. For the people who call this ‘the best kebab in town’ I can only assume they’ve never eaten anywhere else.

Efes Kebab House has some very mixed reviews ,but I can only say what I found, the chicken shish Kebab was very nice along with the Kofte kebab and lamb shish all cooked to perfection over open coals served with fresh tasty salad...lots of it! The staff aren't the most friendly but certainly not rude, after all it's a Kebab house ! PS it wasn't all for me

Very nice kebab. Only 3 stars because I could only get it with a pitta bread and that needed to be a knife a fork job with a plate. Get some wraps in and then you've have at least 4 stars!

Plenty of food but swimming in grease the cheap Pitta Bread soaked it up thankfully. This is one of the very few times I've had a Kebab sober and they stink to high heaven more so if you have garlic sauce on them. This place is towards the arse end of Shrewsbury, so plenty of the town's wasters pop in from the nearby pubs on there way home. Cash Only.

Rude to their door staff (security) on Friday/Saturday night's, makes them stay after their shift has finished, needs to learn how to be less rude to their customers and make sure their customers orders are correct otherwise leave go back to Turkey and I'm not a racist but they need to be less rude to their customers otherwise they will lose customer and end up closing down

Cant fault Efes the food is delicious and plenty of choice there is something for most tastes it is spotelessly clean and the staff are really welcoming if you havent tried Efes you should you wont be dissapointed
