Efes doner in Tendring

Kebab cold, chip tasted as they where nade hours previous. Will not be using again. Shame, had enjoyed previously.

After waiting almost 2 hours for our food, when it arrives it was completely cold. in fact so cold the food was not edible. I contacted the restaurant and he stated he is on his own. Why would a restaurant take my order knowing how busy he was. likewise the standard of food was horrendous. 5 small pieces of meat on a clogged layer of rice. The salad was a piece of lettuce and a small sliced piece of tomato. At These prices avoid at all costs. I have never seen anything so bad. **AVOID-AVOID**

i never had like tassty food before the guys so honest food very hot and taste was perfect i had a day visit clacton im gonna try again this place perfect 👌👍

Edit this was my previous score 5 star. “Great place, reminds me of the German donner shop, but half the price! Can’t wait to come back!” But now I’m afraid it’s a 1 star after returning, the quality has gone, the taste, standards, it’s now just another kebab shop, what a shame.

Maybe good idea to check where driver going and not deliver cold food cos driver lost

I went. With my daughter. She like lambdoner wrap I aske if they can make small kidmeal portion., I don't like and I wasn't hungry . The manager or owner came. He refused. Didn't even care. The charged 10£ All wrap gone in the bin after when my daughter. Find something hard inside. She was think her teeth broken. Waste. Of money and food

Absolutely disgusting! The food looked like throw up and the chips were burnt. Never,ever, EVER eating here again!

First time using this restaurant order was taken by a rude arrogant man checked my order when I got outside the salad was missing and the sauce was missing took it back no apology when I got home the chicken was dry the only nice thing about it was the salad I hope I don't need to take tomorrow off work with a bad stomach definitely won't be going back and buying anything else from here. Totally disgusting....

Oder regularly, but this time chicken kebab burnt dried out and portion size atrocious even tho I paid for extra. Usually it is above what you expect juicy and great portion sizes but this time has fallen well short.

This place died when the old owners left. From best kebab ever to a bog standard low quality kebab house. I am absolutely gutted

We got delivery and it took about a hour and a half to come the food was not great either and we spent 30 pound on 3 nuggets and chips i would not recommend this if your going out for a nice meal with your family

Placed order for delivery site mucked up changed it to pick up they called once no message left when phoned back told tough pick it up or don't have your food avoid

I have used this Kebab house since it opened last night I ordered 3 classic kebabs all came with normal pittas rather than the nice bread when I arrived home I was disappointed I called the shop they told me that the bread they use now normal pitta I asked if it had been taken over and the gentleman replied yes I put my order in at 7 30 pm when I arrived at 20 05 pm it was not even ready had to wait another 20 minutes we use as a family the business at least once a week big orders safe to the gentleman was not even sorry meat was fatty and very greasy safe to say will not be using effes again

The good wife picked up a take out so we could eat it at our hotel. Chips were great, salad was great, bread was great but the meat was quite fatty to be honest; that was enough to put me off from eating here again.

Generous portions, nice clean restaurant with reasonable prices. Would visit again

Spot on, best doner in Clacton by far, I’ve not tasted anything like it before.

It’s just SLOW SLOW SLOW. By time I got home the food was out off date!!! The food is nice but fuxk me it takes ages. The guy serving is also taking phone orders, and the guys preparing the food can’t read the order receipts properly. There were 2 people eating and me, and I was there forever. Slow, slow, slow, slow, slow slow. If you have a spare 2 hours try it.

Hands down the best doner in the area ordered a few times now and haven't been disappointed.

Sorry but I think efes should stick to delivering food only from their restaurant.the first time tonite we ordered on line it came 15 minutes late and was freezing cold.my brother had no sauces added which I ordered on line.i asked for cucumber but got none.you couldn't pick it up like a kebab because it all feel apart.the beef was like just skin with no meat on it.

I made a telephone order and picked up 20 minutes later. I had a mixed classic efes doner meal, which is what you would deem a normal kebab but this comes in very nice homemade soft bread with a crusty outer, the meat was well cooked and the they use beef in their doner which is lovely, well seasoned has amazing flavour and crispy but soft in places, I personally love this over the soggy meat you usually get elsewhere, the same can be said the chicken meat, crispy and soft parts, the salad was very fresh and I had garlic sauce which was nice and creamy which had a nice amount of garlic flavour and almost minty hint. The value for money is very good, £7.50 (at time of writing) for a meal which includes a fair sized portion of chips and a can of drink of your choice. All cooked fresh and was plenty to fill me up, I eat average sized portions of food so anyone out there that needs a little more might want to opt in for the £2 extra meat option. My only 2 gripes, very minor, I wish there's was slightly more salad and slightly more sauce, but that's my personal preference whereas others may think there's plenty. Very enjoyable and one of the best kebabs I have ever eaten, at a great price for the quality and quantity. And it's all wrapped in paper with no polystyrene containers in sight, I personally love this! Thanks Efes doner, I will be returning.

Amazing food we went for beef doners and it was the best tasting doner. Love the way its sliced thinly how I like it. 4 adults fed and we throughly enjoyed it. 5 stars everytime. We love Efes Bbq too.
