Attended this cafe/restaurant with my family. Seated outside. Nothing was too much trouble and staff were very accommodating and helpful. We ordered: Milkshake - strawberry (son loved this) Pot of tea Queen Charlotte Breakfast King George Breakfast Child’s Breakfast Price £36 - with the state of the economy today, I thought was very good. There are three tiers of breakfast Queen (normal) to Henry (largest) All cooked to perfection. Not greasy and very tasty. Very hard to come across a true family run business these days and this definitely one. Not near the main footfall of holiday maker traffic, situated over the road from another icon premises Marlboro Chip Shop near the harbour. A must visit if you’re in Weymouth. Popular with local residents too. I’ve attached menus for peoples benefit.

We came as a family of 17 and 5 dogs and stumbled across the Edge cafe. We had lovely and incredibly quick service, our dogs were given biscuits, sausage and a bowl of water. The food was incredible, good portions and good value. The staff were really lovely and incredible fast and helpful. Highly recommend.

Popped into this busy little cafe, greeted with a friendly welcome and seated quickly, my partner chose the cheese scone with mushrooms and stilton which she said was delicious, I went for ham, egg and chips which were also lovely. Cafe seemed popular with both locals and tourists alike with many customers known not only by name but order too. Well worth a visit when in Weymouth.

Stopped for breakfast as the menu looked interesting. We ordered a couple of the dishes with poached eggs & hollandaise. We were really disappointed that one of the eggs was under cooked & slimy, the hollandaise was tasteless and the balsamic just tasted really sweet. Sugar has no place on a savoury breakfast. There was no crunch or chew so the whole dish lacked texture. Wouldn’t return.

Thoroughly recommend The Edge to one and all but especially dog lovers! Staff are very welcoming and we love the food. No photos as we were too eager to eat but the Ham, Eggs and Chips was delicious as was the Stilton, Mushroom and Walnut melt that I had. Dog enjoyed his treats too!

I visited Weymouth today with my border collie, Bryn. I sought advice from a very knowledgeable lady in the Weymouth Information Shop. She recommended Edge Cafe as being a dog friendly cafe. She wasn’t wrong. What a wonderful cafe. On entering, I was immediately welcomed by a lovely young woman who, after taking my lunch order, also asked me whether Bryn would like to have a treat, sausage or a bowl of biscuits, free of charge. She was very kind and friendly, she too had a young border collie. My meal was delicious, jacket potato with mushroom Stilton and walnuts served with salad and coleslaw. I would highly recommend Edge Cafe, especially to dog owners and Bryn and I are looking forward to visiting again.

Looking for a nice Jacket Potato, then don't come here. What I had was just half a potato. Not good. Instead go to Thyme Out where you can enjoy a proper Jacket.

Great Dog friendly cafe… we were looking for a dog friendly, independent cafe and stumbled upon ‘The Edge’. Our dog was welcomed with a bowl of sausage and biscuits and a bowl of water. The crab sandwich was so fresh and served with salad and vegetable crisps the avocado on toast with cherry tomatoes and poached eggs was cooked to perfection. Generous pot of tea, allowing for 2 cups each. Staff were very friendly, and the whole atmosphere was warm and welcoming. What a wonderful find.

Been to Weymouth a few times & never stumbled across The Edge Café before. While in Weymouth this time the weather was a bit inclement to say the least. Trying to find somewhere to eat with 2 large dogs is sometimes a little awkward. We found The Edge café with a large outside area which is covered. We asked about being dog friendly, no problem, either inside or out take your pick. Straight away they asked if the dogs wanted water & could they have some dog biscuits as well. Dogs sorted, we ordered our food & drinks. Our food was excellent, Cheese baked potato, crab sandwich on wholemeal & ham, egg & chips. We enjoyed the café so much we re-visited a couple of days later. Overall an excellent café, very friendly staff, great food & a must for dog owners visiting Weymouth 👍

Visited twice this month for lunch. Food is a level up from competing local cafés. You are spoilt for choice with a great menu and excellent specials board. Coffee here is particularly good. Great atmosphere, attentive staff.

I love supporting independent cafes and The Edge Cafe is a gem of a cafe in Weymouth. Located near the harbour bridge the outside seating is a great place to sit and watch the world go by as you tuck into a delicious breakfast or lunch. Visited this morning and enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast - love the addition of halloumi slices- whilst hubby made his way through the King George (medium breakfast ) - it was enormous! Service was fast and friendly, food was delicious and great value. Highly recommend

We were looking for a place to have a quick coffee and slice of cake but struggled to find somewhere we liked the look of in the harbour that allowed dogs, across from the bridge though was this little doggy haven disguised as a cafe! The staff immediately greeted our dog izzy and offered her a bowl of sausage and biscuits and a bowl of water while we decided what to order, she wolfed them down in no time! (Hence no picture) and we decided on two cakes off the amazing home made cake selection on offer along with two coffees. After being served our own goodies the lady behind the til brought izzy over a blanket to lay down on too so that she was comfortable. Belly full of sausages she gladly received this and had a snooze I think any restaurant/ cafe that treat your dog even better than they do you (and we weren't treated half bad either!) Definitely wins our vote We will definitely be returning for breakfast one of the days 😋 Thanks ladies for the wonderful service! Izzy says thanks too xx

Called in here on our final morning of our recent trip to Weymouth. We were met with a very friendly and kind waitress who sat us inside, advising that it was waitress service inside. I noticed that dogs were given their own water bowl, plus another bowl with sausages in! (How thoughtful) I had bubble and squeak with poached eggs(perfect), bacon and cherry tomatoes. It was hot, and perfect in every way, the bubble and squeak was flavour some tasted wonderful. My husband had Queen Charlotte breakfast, which was basically 1 of everything, and said all was very well cooked and tasty. A sufficient pot of tea for 2 to wash it down. A very pleasant breakfast, and reasonably priced too, well done.

Really surprised how busy it was for a cold November day but we could see why . Lovely selection of hot food and so many cakes it made it hard to choose . We had the lamb pasty , pork cheese and marmite sausage roll, cheese and ham croissant and then some cakes , all really tasty. Great friendly staff . Coffee delicious aswell. Also dog friendly .
