08.30 stop. Only unhealthy food available from Burger King, Pret a Manger (very expensive), Costa (very expensive), and Gregg's. M &S was open, but who wants a salad at that time in the morning?

Clearly this site has been recently refurbished and is much nicer than before but sadly customers are paying for it as prices are through the roof. Almost as if it's a "Let's get our investment back tomorrow rather than next month" attitude. Big brand names abound but without the frills of the loyalty programs which you can gain advantage of in the non franchised environment on the High St. I guess it costs money to manage & promote these schemes and again, the Motorway Service opertation are likely to be getting a benefition arrangement if they don't carry these benefits. Using these 'names' regularly on my travels, I have no doubt that the charges on the motorway equivalent are significantly higher. Some things never change. Real improvement in the toilets too following the refurb. Bright, smart decor and clean. This site is truly impressive and a real improvement over the vast majority of service areas in the UK but I just wish they would provide local cuisine rather than the the standard, overpriced takeaways.

Asked if AA still have discount. Had a very opinionated woman with long her who voiced loudly to rest of staff 'we haven't done discount for over 3.5 years and people still come in asking'. Appalling customer service. She wasn't even serving me at the time. Maybe you could just answer 'yes' or 'no', next time and keep your thoughts to yourself. Not the restful service experience I'd come to know several years ago.

We regularly stop here on the way to North Wales. Always busy but clean and tidy and coffee and burger stands keep pace with demand. Our regular use shows our support

Stopped for breakfast with grandchildren. There was nothing here for breakfast for children unless you wanted a cake. The traditional English cafe food has gone and it's all chains now. Clean and tidy but not much use in the morning with children.

Brilliant service area was very busy but place was very clean..was a bit pricey for food so won't be back...

We stopped here to re charge ev at the petrol station. Nice snacks at the petrol station. Average price for electricity.

Absolute joke of a service station. Nothing for coeliacs to eat apart from crisps and chocolate. Had a Diet Coke for lunch. Of course they have vegan stuff everywhere. It is not a life choice to be coeliac. Do better.

I went to Burger King at 10.35 pm and I had my children with me and I could hear all the people behind at the back calling each other swearing words and a lots more besides . I had put my order on at the self order screens at the front and it took them 6 mins before I was seen and then they tried to give me second hand fries recoooked . I wanted to go to get some items from WH Smith’s and it’s closed from 1036 pm till 11.05 while they swapped over shifts and people were getting annoyed with it . We were in a big group and wanted to sit in costa but this was all sealed off for cleaning . And the Costa person did no cleaning at all . The petrol station chargers 43p a litre more than a normal one . And if you sit down the music is so loud , you can’t hear your self talk

This is a big shout out to COSTA, especially Simon who went above and beyond to help me when my car broke down at the services. He was not only kind, but helped me to register my car so that I didn't get a fine for overstaying the 2 hour time limit. He said that I only had to ask him if I needed anything else, and he'd be happy to help. This is just what I needed and Im

We stopped there on route north in our Motorhome. They supposedly have a separate stop for caravans/Motorhome, near the fuel. It was filthy dirty and full of lorries. The path into the main building is long, and to be honest if not used to lorries, dam dangerous, not least because lorries park on the path. And as usual the toilets in the main building are dirty I don’t know how much they charge for a nights stay, but I certainly would not stay there. Not sure I would want to stop there again?

Decent place to have a break. Arrived mid morning and sat at bench overlooking pond. Perfect! Free WiFi works inside main building. Disappointed that we couldn't see rubbish recycling... Everything was dumped into one bin 😒😒😒

What a place. Yes you can buy something to eat or drink but what a place to ponder and rest. Especially in such wonderful circumstances

Total rip off on fuel. Other service stations are not so greedy .. They are just taking advantage avoid

We’ve always stopped here as the facilities are excellent but when my daughter discovered- an hour later - that she’d left her phone there, a single phone call showed us how genuinely kind the staff are. They were running about searching for it and then saved it safely for our return. Thank you all for your caring service.

We used to live these services as they had a special area for caravans and Motorhomes. It was easy to walk to the cafe and have an m and s picnic at the lake. Unfortunately they no longer seem to care and the caravan area...

At long last this area has been given an improvement both externally and internally. The road system used to be a nightmare but is now far better signposted making it a pleasure to drive in and out but the price of fuel? Disgusting. 10p a...

Driving up the M6, arranged to meet a friend at the EDC Motorway Services Stafford Northbound. Lots of free parking, easy to find with good facilities - toilets, shop and café. Good location - hence the stopoff for a meet. All clean and tidy.

Dirty. Floor full of food. Tables dirty. It’s ok to ask customers to put food cartons in the bin. But if there is no cleaning being done what’s the point. Certainly no sanitising of tables being done.

Due to an accident on the way I had to wait for a family member in a separate group to meet up with us there - there is no clear information anywhere regarding how long you can stay and as we it was early morning...

Excellent directions to get in from the motorway. Big car park and pedestrian paths through it. Lots of eating areas and shops. Clean and the toilets also clean.

Called in for a pit stop and a burger king as we had been in delayed fraffic and traveling for 6 hours. Burger king: tables not cleaned; the area was covered in flies? disgusting !electronic ordering screens ran out of receipt/ ticket paper- so no...

Way nicer than other services I’ve visited. All sorts of refreshments available and a small marks and Spencer so I could get bread and milk etc. Clean fancy loos and good grassy areas for children to play or dogs to be exercised on.

Great Dog Friendly Service Station. Stopped here for a comfort break on our way to holiday cottage. Service station has all the amenities you would expect (some closed due to Covid restrictions) Clean & well maintained facilities. Good area available for dogs to be exercised...

I recently visited Costa coffee Cherwell Valley Services Area on 7th August 2020 approximately 10pm.I am milk anaphylaxis and I told the staff this because I think its fair that staff know in advance. I was treated with upmost respect by the gentleman member of staff, he cleaned and sterilised the equipment. I want to take this time to say Thank you for making me feel safe during my coffee break, service like this makes a huge difference to people with life threatening conditions. Have just stopped for breakfast at Stafford services, southbound. We got our breakfast by the noodle bar. We weren't asked how we wanted our eggs. It was served in a polystyrene tray, no problem with that. It consisted of congealed fried egg, greasy hash brown,...

Better than average facilities available but not very clean, had a Burger King which was OK and distancing rules etc were being upheld there. Lot of visitors ignorant of the masks rule.

Called here and I have to agree with previous review. Dirty tables, not being cleaned between customers. A lot of the toilets were also out of order. We have stopped here a lot in the past but will have to be desperate to visit again....

Absolutely horrified when we stopped here this afternoon. Counted in by a lovely young lady but horrified at the number of people not wearing masks despite the govt recommendations.. maybe someone requesting this at the door would help. I know some people are exempt but there must have been a bus load!!!Not all the sanitiser machines had sanitiser in either - not impressed

We only had coffee this time, and the tables were clean. £6.38 for 2 coffees is extortionate. The prices of the fuel on motorways is under scrutiny. The food and drinks should be, too.

Driving up the M6, stopped off at the EDC Motorway Services Stafford Northbound, halfway between J14 & J15.Nice enough M6 Motorway Services - clean & tidy.Free parking for up to 2 hours.Grabbed a coffee from Costa Coffee and a Gluten Free Sandwich from M&S, after a trip to the facilities, what more could you ask for?

Used Burger King, cold very salty chips, nice burger awful coffee. Also Greggs, M&S Asian thing. Should have had the coffee from Costa.

Stopped here as an emergency as my child needed the toilet... Was very clean.. Got our costas and greggs and were on the road again...

Clean, bright, inviting.A good choice of different foods with plenty of seating. Possibly a slightly excessive number of Costas (3).Clean facilities.We arrived at the same time as a couple of coach parties but the place seemed to swallow them up and we didn't notice a queue or lack of seats.So much better than our visit to Sandbach Services on the way south the day before.

Long journey heading North to home from Hemel Hempstead for the weekend. Costa is always reliable and you know what you get. Nice big services with a big Costa seating area. Usual pleasant staff and drinks up to the usual Costa standard.

Filthy toilets, rip - off styled expensive stop. But nice sunny day to roam one's eyes around lovely greenery and aquatics.

All of the above, dirty uninviting & very cold - my husband went back to the car to get my coat for me as I was so cold in the dinning area, colder inside than outside at 7am. Toilets very poor old and dirty, paper all over the floors, flys too, toilet seats that you need to touch to open the lid (1.5litr flush mechanism is ‘ environment green’ however A*) but who wants to touch the seat to lift it!? Some taps do not even work in the sinks and they are old fashioned touch taps. It’s not a good experience.In the shared dining space - most tables appeared unclean. Debris and left overs littered 20% of the tables too. A very attractive outside space, and even the inside had a fair appearance but scruffy seating and unkept facilities. Everything seemed to need a deep clean and better maintenance. The TV that was on was showing regional news channel as London? That puzzled me. - We stopped off at this service and chose it over others due to the higher than average trip advisor rating. I cannot imagine it will keep that rating for much longer unless action is taken swiftly.

we stop for a break,we been there many times and got a vey nice lake to walk around and sit outside with the family

Some services are awful, some are poor and some do what they are supposed to. Well this one falls into that category. It’s well set out with plenty of green and the lake makes it feel much more friendly than some. I will drive past Hilton Park as I know this place feels much better place to stop.

My partner and I went here today. I didn't eat anything as it was too early. My partner however had a breakfast and since then has gone dramatically downhill. To put it bluntly he has had sickness and diarrhea all day and been in bed! Absolutely appalling!!!! He hasn't eaten or drank anything prior to going here, so it could only be from this restaurant, and I am fine as I didn't eat here and grabbed a protein bar from WH Smith. I will be reporting this restaurant

I stopped here for a break whilst on my way north the services were their normal standard with plenty of parking for cars coaches and trucks staff were alright but nothing special and the toilets were ok but nothing special

So I stopped here looking mainly for a cup of tea but I saw a breakfast place - eat and drink co. £11.75 for a plate of absolute crap !! Toast tasted like it had been toasted left to go stale and toasted again. The cook couldn’t fry an egg without breaking the yolk, cold has browns, Luke warm sausage , bacon so thin and dry you could use it instead of your knife, mushrooms looked as if they had been cooked well at some point but turned vile under the lights, tomato was ok and the beans were fairly warm.

One of the best service stations we have used in the recent past. Mc D's was the clean and tidy restaurant you would hope for with warm and friendly staff with the coffee tasting as expected. The tables were clean and tidy and the floor spotless.

EDV Motorway Services Stafford is a clean services with plenty of food and drink options. If you are looking for the larger Greggs it is on the outside with a separate entrance. If you are facing the building straight on, it’s on the left side. There is a little Greggs stand on the inside of the main services but they do not carry everything like the delicious vegan sausage roll. I am not promoting an agenda, they are just mad delicious. I stopped here for a break whilst driving north, The service area was the normal standard dirty toilets and normal canteen standard food

This has to be one of the best services in the country. Large open spaces, Costa drive through and separate sit in. Burger king, greggs, wh Smith, marks and spencer. Travelodge hotel on site.

Visited on way home on a Sunday. Lovely and clean. Good facilities! Friendly staff too. Great seating areas to enjoy your drinks and food.

We had sandwiches and coffee which were OK, but had to clean the table before we ate. It wasn't just the one table as we chose the one that needed least cleaning to sit at.

Travelling north on M6 , you’d never imagine Stafford services would have such a beautiful outdoor space - including a lake with fountain that you can walk around . Even some ducks !

I visited this restaurant for breakfast as there was an offer tied in with the local Travelodge.

Stopped with my daughter and friend for breakfast. Good choice - girls had bacon baguette and I went o Costa. Plenty of tables to sit down. Toilet clean. Big WH Smiths. Good place to stop if you've been on the road a few hours.

Stopped off for a cup of tea before continuing with my journey- I was served by a friendly member of staff by the name of Dawn. A great start to my day.

This motorway service area has numerous eateries and a Spar shop, service seemed prompt at the cafe's, toilets seemed well maintained.

Stopped for a break, toilet clean and tidy. A lot of people were in the services but there were plenty of places to eat and drink. We went in Mcdonalds the staff were very nice and the service was quick

We have just eaten the worst cooked breakfast we have ever had here. Very overpriced (£23 for two breakfasts with coffee), lukewarm, dried out(at 7 in the morning) and poor quality ingredients. We obviously won't be repeating the experience.

We stop here regularly on our frequent trips along M6. After some refurbishment it looks less tired and the new Asian food section offers an excellent Thai curry. Seating new and clean. Need to signpost the way round to the lake more effectively for dog owners. Good variety of shop units.

We popped in here en route to Scotland and headed to the Costa Outlet.

Stopped here on a Friday morning for a coffee break on a coach holiday. So nice to sit outside in the sunshine beside a lake with a walk round it . If only all service stations could be this good .

This is a fairly modern service station, has a range of expensive cafes of various descriptions. Has gardens and a fountain outside which are fairly pleasant, children's play areas. Has a M and S to do some expensive food shopping. Clean and tidy with pleasant staff.

A standard service station, the usuals, WHSmith, Costa, Burger King, all top prices, take your own food and save a fortune.

Travelling with my Mum and Grandparents and stopped for a rest on our 7 hour drive. Amazing service with any issues resolved immediately. Thank you so much guys, you made our day.

This is the first time I have used the Stafford services on the M6 and they are pretty good. Everything is clean and tidy and welcoming which is what you want. Even the Costa coffee and sandwich where reasonably priced!

Usual outlets, toilets well kept. Clean area. Parking area cramped and not particularly attractive, but then what is it for. Access and egress simple.

The view is just great. We like it and that is why we stop there although we know that the facilities are poor and the coffee (COSTA) is expensive and not particularly good. Plus, it is always busy and then it is difficult to find a parking and a place where to sit in the big common area.

We stopped off for a toilet/late lunch break en route home. As it was snowing and had been snowing overnight you would expect the entrance to be wet but no it was nice and dry. The services were clean throughout even the ladies were clean. It was lovely and warm and staff were friendly. We had burgers, from the chain there and they were nice and hot and well cooked, a good put me on til we got home.

Staff at Costa very friendly and helpful and cheerful and warming. Food prices ok. Shame you don't do more healthy food. It would be a better choice. Shame the young lady who served me her name not on receipt. Unless it casher 70026944 HC

Good Value bacon bap for £3 excellent value and good quality bacon. Always room here even though it is owned by Costa Coffee as staff wear the same uniform Good service, staff helpful

A motorway stop is an essential part of a long journey. It should give a chance to use the rest room, to have a refreshing drink, to eat a restorative meal, to check any traffic problems, maybe even buy a paper or a game for the children. Most of these essentials are there wherever you stop, though the quality varies with each station.

Good service station to use after the M6 toll. Highly recommend the bacon baps or breakfast in there was very refreshing before we carried on our journey 😀

It's a bog standard service station in-between Stoke and Stafford. The car park was big enough for plenty of visitors...

Nothing out of the ordinary this service station. Limited range of places to eat. Clean enough place. Seem keen on this idea of shared hand washing areas in the toilets. Has pic nic tables outside a way from the service station.

Doesn't feel like a service station which is great! Plenty of food choices and it was a beautiful sunny day when we visited so got to sit by the lake with the ducks. Downside- bloody expensive!!

Noisy - Had to take baked potato back to be microwaved - Everywhere looks grubby bits of paper, dropped food etc on floor. Cutlery dirty. The dumb waiter which had salt pepper cutlery etc looked disgusting. If you have gone into this services turn round and go on to the next one. NEVER seen such a grubby services

Not a place to stop off. Unfortunately it is not kept in the cleanest of conditions and the food is less than average. On the day we called their fruit juice was not working which cut down our choice.

Stopped off recently whilst on a trip to Southport. I was pleasantly surprised how clean the services were as well as a great selection of food outlets, which were not overpriced as usually found at service areas. Nice picnic and grass area, good for dogs or just to sit and relax before your onward journey. A nice experience.

Plenty of parking spaces, clean toilets, WHSmith was handy to grab a book, burger king was quiet so I could grab a dirty lunch quickly and greggs did a decent cuppa much cheaper than costa. Thumbs up from me.

Well the food was hot but extremely average and expensive. Costa coffee is good but expensive as you would expect. There's a WH Smith and a M&S food outlet which is probably the best place to get food to eat other than the typical Moto service area food. It was clean & tidy as was the toilets so not all bad really

Motorway service areas are never that good and this one isn't either...That said it was clean and there was plenty of parking.There are all of the usual outlets and lots of seating.If you need to stop it's probably better to stop here than further north

Stayed overnight in my truck and the showers were cold, terrible!!! I asked staff in WHSmith if they can put hot water on, nope!

This services is better than most and has a good range of places to eat and outside seating - but you can't get back in once you are out! a reasonable pit stop.

Clean and compact service station on the M6, all on one level, so disabled friendly. A big duck pond round the back, watch the kids don't fall in!

I stopped here en route from London to Scotland. It's a good size and inside there is a good-sized M&S food store, WH Smith and Costa as well as hot food.It is clean, including the toilets, and a bright airy atmosphere inside. As always, service station prices are very high -but that's understandable and expected.

Just your average motorway services, the usual stuff and facilities, reasonably clean and tidy and convenient.

Favourite service station, good for a pit stop and catching a brew and Scooby snack whilst watching the ducks.

We bought breakfast at Costa and sat outside on the decking by the water on a beautiful sunny morning. Felt more like midsummer than mid September. Coffee and muffins were very good and this was a very pleasant start to our mini break. 

Some services on the M6 make you question where you went wrong in your life to have made such an epic decision fail to stop there. Others, make you question why all services can't be as good as this. Stafford Northbound falls thankfully, into the latter.it's a nice half way stop when visiting relatives up North and the sweeping driveway entrance feels like you have made a wrong turn somewhere, especially when you see the fountains and manicured grass. The management clearly take pride in these services and look after it, and first impressions count.I'm not quite sure that 3 Costa Coffee places (4 if you count the express machine in WH Smith) are quite needed, but perhaps when they are busy they are.The guy that served us in WH Smith was lovely and personable.The toilets were clean, washbowls were not clogged and there was soap in the dispensers. A rarity in these modern times. Generally this place is really a lot nicer than the average service stop so if you are travelling up North on the M6, if you can cross your legs and hold on, skip past Hilton services and stop at this one.
