What a great shop! So much variety of truffle flavours, small and large bars in milk, white and various darks! Also delicious hot drinks with homemade hot chocolate - what’s not to like? Homemade salted caramel jars are also a personal favourite! 100% recommend.

I do not cook at all when The Penny Black is open ! I feel really sorry for cafes and restaurants like this ! It's not their fault that they are unable to open up at the moment still ! The Post office is an integral part of the Burry Port community and as such will have struggled to retain their loyal clientele! Not everyone is,driven by price but as I intend to eat there 3 or 4 times a week , still, I'm very grateful that the prices are priced really realistically , as I'm single and only on my works pension, still ! Lol x Thanks for all the care the staff gave given me since moving to Burry Port/ Pembrey. South Wales. Th

Only came across this hidden cafe with a community spirited hostess on our way back to South Wales & were smitten by how friendly and accommodating they were. If anyone in your group has a hidden need, for example avoiding cafes with a cabinet full of coca cola cans, Croes y Ceiliog at Llanwrda has the solution, making you feel like a family member. Their tasty home made food too = return visit a definite!

Went there may 2025. Was going to go for a meal and a drink, but discovered that they no longer do food! Had a nice pint of Coors and a bag of crisps! Under new management at present so in a period of transition. Beautiful old building, but just lacked an atmosphere. Hopefully new owners will inject some cash and make it what it should be, a great country pub. The landlady did however allow people to order a takeaway to the pub and eat which I thought was a really nice touch.

Went on a recommendation and it didn't disappoint, traditional food cooked by two lovely sisters, a must visit when you're in the area. Closes at 3pm.
