Echo 3 Coffee House & Roastery in Darlington

Visité con mi hija en nuestra búsqueda habitual del sábado para probar bollos dondequiera que terminemos. Este sábado necesitábamos visitar Darlington así que le preguntamos al dueño de una tienda local dónde estaban los mejores bollos y aquí fue donde nos recomendó. Pequeñas mesitas de café de un par abajo unos cuantos más arriba, pero visitamos antes del almuerzo y nos sentamos enseguida. Aunque era temprano no quedaban bollos de fruta, lo que fue decepcionante, así que solo conseguí probar el bollo de queso - chocolate caliente de lujo, pero no crema, así que hija un poco decepcionada Hicieron bollos calientes si se les pedía un bono tan bonito. El té estaba en una tetera que es preferible, pero era muy fuerte. Algo de agua caliente podría haber ayudado. Podría haber preguntado. Supongo. Los precios eran buenos Servicio aceptable - no es el servicio más rápido cuando está en cola. Había una gran cola afuera cuando nos fuimos, así que presumimos que a veces está bastante ocupado.

My fave coffee shop since moving here. Very reasonably priced coffee and friendly staff. Generous with syrup and oat milk available. Extra seating upstairs but I've managed to sit downstairs each visit. In one of the cute little alleys. I've been with a friend and alone and felt very comfortable. The cakes look amazing but I haven't got round to trying them yet! It's just very cute and very lovely. Also they have a wall of Polaroids of the dogs that visit 🥺

What a hidden gem! Fantastic coffee and the cakes are amazing. Super friendly staff and Star Wars memorabilia to boot! Being a huge fan myself it’s a very welcome surprise. Overall get yourselves down there for great coffee beautiful cakes and friendly service. Also dog friendly 🙏🏼

Absolutely love echo 3 coffee. But the beans for home and also pop in for cappuccino’s Helps that I am a Star Wars nerd but the coffee is the best in my opinion. Love it. Keep it up. echo 3 to echo 7 do you read me Han old buddy ?

Definitely the best coffee in Darlington and possibly the whole of the UK! They roast their own coffee beans there and the flavour is intense yet smooth and rounded . We enjoyed several delicious americanos accompanied by equally excellent homemade fruit scones!! Cakes looked incredible too. To be highly recommended, we will definitely be returning on our nest visit to Darlington.

One of the best places in the region for proper single origin coffee. As a former barista, I really aprpeciate their quality of coffee and crafstmanship. I go almost twice a week at minimum and yet each time the coffee is exceptional. Never had a bad coffee, and the long line of customers even on weekday mornings is evidence of this! Also the wife makes most the cakes and they are delicious! I wish them every success!

Best coffee in town by far. Cakes are very good (and generous). Also, it's about half the price of a chain coffee place!

Visited a few times always had a warm welcome from the lovely staff working there. Place is clean child and dog friendly. The coffee is excellent and love the tea loaf and scones. Always go when I'm in the area

Visited here on Easter Saturday with friends the coffee shop is Dog friendly, kid friendly lovely coffee and clean/nice atmosphere. My step son was very impressed with the star wars memorabilia

A little gem hidden snuck down Clarks Yard in the heat of Darlington. Packed with tasty treats, and great coffee with options for vegans. Loved the decor. The staff were very polite and friendly, and very good price too. Coffee was velvety and delish!

Best coffee in Darlington by a mile. The only coffee shop in the uk I’ve visited that does a long black. No extra charge for plant based milk. The regular queues show you how good this place is. 2 coffees, a couple of cakes will cost you at least half the price of a chain coffee shop and is much nicer.

I regularly visit here to grab a takeout or sit in for a number of reasons- they have the best coffee (simples!), the range of cakes is great, the cakes themselves are scrumptious and you get a proper piece (very important!) , the assortment of drinks available for my kids to chose from (currently love the iced tea!) plus my kids love to sit and play one of the many board games together. The service is always top notch, they’re dog friendly so my dog always gets a biscuit too and I’ve never been disappointed!!

Best mocha on this earth is made at echo 3, lovely staff and the prices are unreal. If anyone is in town they should check out this coffee shop. I am a customer for life!

They are a bespoke coffee house that roast their own beans. Coffee is to die for but they also have some scrumptious and unusual cakes, and you get a decent sized portion of cake for a really good price. It’s also next to a brilliant artisan bread maker too

What a wonderful place this is. All kinds of sweetmeats, in a very much 'off the main drag' bijou coffee house that make the best Mocha this reviewer has ever had. The Star Wars themed decor is excellent as well.

Visit often for some me time. Has a friendly , comfortable, unrushed feel. Staff very accommodating, service always with a smile. Their tea loaf is amazing. Soya latte is perfect!

I’ve been in twice and want to like the place, but the owners are not very friendly at all. The alleyway it is in is nice but apart from that, it’s not a welcome experience.

First visit unusual decor. Wooden furniture looks very rustic, boarded walls with Star Wars Memorabilia not my scene. Coffee freshly ground very nice. Popular venue.

Popped in here with my daughter as a break whilst shopping, nice atmosphere, coffee was lovely, my daughter was very impressed with the hot chocolate she had. Would definitely recommend a visit, I will certainly be going again soon.

This small but beautifully formed cafe is tucked away in the heart of Darlington’s town centre. Situated in Clark’s Yard; this is one of the narrow lanes that connects Skinnergate to High Row. We attended on the recommendation of our daughter and we weren’t disappointed....
