Delicious icecream, made on the premises. Lovely service too by all the young friendly staff. And don't forget the focaccia sandwiches and sweet and savoury crepes and waffles. Love this place!!

I cannot recommend highly enough taking a box of your favourite flavour home. Ours is salted caramel and a scoop at the end of a meal is a great pleasure.

What a gem!! If I lived here, I would come every week until I tried every single flavour!! They also do other sweets. And,!!!!!! Whole desserts for dinner parties!!! I had rhubarb gelato and coconut gelato in one pot. It was amazing!! And very reasonable. The gelato is made on site. The staff are really nice.

Phenomenal ice cream. Great range of flavours, many unusual. We had coconut & tropical blood orange, tumeric & chili pink grapefruit, bergamot & pink peppercorn Pannacotta & passionfruit Yum!

There is a good selection of ice creams on offer including some which are suitable for diabetics. However I visited on Saturday afternoon (11.12.21) and a very miserable and unhelpful young lady who would clearly rather have continued to play around with her mobile phone than bother to serve customers attempted to serve me. She was clearly lacking in knowledge about what she was presumably supposed to be employed to do and luckily was ably helped out by a young lad who saved the day !! Perhaps some of the staff would benefit from a customer service training course plus better knowledge about the products they are dealing with ?

Really like this place. Lovely waffles and icecream. Shame it's not open later in the evening when people are more likely to be out. I wanted to bring my kids later (it's Friday today) but it closes at five.

Visited on a hot bank holiday Monday afternoon. The staff seemed to be going through the motions and friendly but very slow. There was no real system and the three/four staff chopped and changed between some random cleaning and taking orders without any sense of efficiency. Good gelato and quality product. I would recommend a trip but not if the queue has reached the door - you will be there an age.

Wonderful ice cream, not to be missed!

We called in here with our dog, very friendly staff. We ordered coffee and black forest crepes which were quick to arrive, beautifully presented and tasted heavenly, the coffee was good too. Think we might be back for an ice cream, they'd got several unusual flavours like violet, im hoping tastes like Parma violet sweets.

Very tasty! If it wasn't expensive, it wouldn't be a treat.

The staff was very welcoming, and everything was really clean. The decorations were also lovely, but the best bit was that everyone had to have their hands full when they came out of the store, because there were too many options that it was almost impossible for anyone not to buy anything!

Ice cream was very nice - my husband says! BUT I really don't like ice cream & there was nothing nice for me to indulge in! I appreciate things are challenging during COVID-19, but it would a nice touch if you could think of the ice cream hater who is accompanying the ice cream lover!

No gloves or masks worn by staff. If you want people touching their hair then your food whilst breathing all over it go for it. Shocking lack of basic hygiene needs to be addressed immediately.

Gorgeous home made gelato, plus a huge selection of it, and great coffee. You can even watch it being made while you're seated. Well worth a visit. Strongly recommend the Kinder Bueno gelato as well as their raspberry sorbet. Delicious. Staff always polite and friendly and will always allow you to sample before you buy something. Good to see some new additions to the menu: Light snacks, cocktails and soup for the winter. This place is wonderful.

All homemade ices of a huge variety, in cups, cones, with chocolate, sprinkles, sauces, or buy your own complete one for a party...what’s not to like?!

A favourite place for a treat for the boys and my little girl...great choice of Gelato ice cream, sorbets and much much more! Great value for money, the staff are all lovely and Phillipa who makes the ices is knowledgeable and always friendly and welcoming.

Great variety of ice cream flavours but not much atmosphere. Should have gone when the weather is hot and lots of people want ice cream!

Lovely waffles, light and delicious however rather sweet (which is to be expected). Very nice Italian ice cream which was very refreshing alongside. Banoffee waffle is particularly recommended. Apart from their Ice-cream and waffle/crêpe toppings it would be nice to have a wider selection of hot dishes.

Good iCE cream if a little dear

Stopped in here for a treat after exploring the castle and Abbey. Ooh, how delightful it was, a great selection of flavours and variety, so soft and creamy and ever so tasty. We chose to eat our ice cream in the shop which was clean, bright and airy. We'd definitely visit again!

After a morning shopping up and down the high street, then a very pleasant lunch near the Abbey, I made my way back to the car park and decided to keep cool in the shade with a raspberry sorbet cone from Ecco Gelato. A wide choice of flavours makes life difficult...but finally Great decision!Quiet, impeccably clean ice cream parlour as only the Italians could deliver.Bravo!

Fantastic Italian style ice cream parlour. The range of tasty ice creams and sorbets is astonishing and the opportunity to see them being made on the premises makes this an interesting as well as a tasty visit! Coffee is also excellent band, whilst we haven't yet tried them, the desserts look amazing too! A fantastic find which, despite it's somewhat unassuming exterior, hides an absolute gem

Nice flavours, especialy jaffa cake one. extremly poor, un appetising presantation on ice creams. Waffles average. Got pushed to order (menu confusing). Took 15 min for waffles to come. No nhs discounts, below average ice parlour

I go for the waffles. Absolutely love them and the Gelato is really good. Fully recommend going if your looking for somewhere to chill out in the afternoon. Would have given 5 stars but I'm not a huge fan of the seating. Literally the only reason.

The ice cream is nice but very expensive and the cafe is very modern with lots of steel and plastic and when we went we were the only people there so the atmosphere wasn’t very good and it was also very hot inside.

I don't come here often yet it is always a lovely treat coming to choose your favourite flavours of ice cream. Expensive - 2 scoops £4 yet worth it. Good choice of flavours - tonight was pineapple and honeycomb. Generous scoop portions. Good place to come for dessert having had a meal elsewhere.Pleasant friendly service.

Very hot day so ice cream seemed like the obvious choice! My partner and I ordered £7 worth which amounted to 3 scoops. Mine was handed to me On a cone with a large blonde/grey hair hanging down from the ice cream, I pointed this out to the young assistant , who pulled out what was now a long hair, and proceeded to hand it back to me!!!!!! No comment made but obviously thought that was acceptable, so much for food hygiene courses. I said it had turned my stomach and required a fresh scoop. It was ok but nothing to shout home about. Won’t be returning even if it is a hot day!

Could take dog in and atmosphere very relaxing. Loved the decor music and plastic chairs. Unusual. A bit "London"

Found this company via a vegan fayre they were at. The shop is very nice, it is big and has lots to pick from. They have a wide selection of gelatos with vegan and diabetic gelatos to pick from. I had the black forest vegan waffle it was fantastic. Lovely place. Feels like it should be in a city centre like Bristol or bath but it's in a quaint little village which looks like it would be lovely to visit.

Had a take away, to be honest probably better to eat in. Waffles fell apart, no cutlery given. Glad I had my own spork.

I visited today with my wife (who is a Coeliac) and we had fantastic waffles. It was really nice to find gluten free waffles, but to also be able to have the normal, dairy ice cream and didn’t just get given a completely free from dish.

Great ice cream treats and excellent coffees seved in a somewhat cold and impersonal environment. Needs a design update to make it more cozy.

Ecco Gelato is fantastic! A massive range of delicious ice creams and reasonable prices. Staff are all polite and friendly youngsters. They even have dairy free options which is brilliant. Interior is always clean with funky lights and displays. Well behaved dogs are allowed and they even have a few toys available for small kids.

Hay mas opciones de postre y lugar para sentarse, pero comprar un helado e ir a pasear a ese pueblecito tan pintoresco se antoja y disfruta. Tip, el de chocolate obscuro y el de chocolate blanco son muy buenos... pero hay mucho mas igual de ricos!

Amazing ice cream, delicious! Visited twice and both times, the staff seemed unhappy. Seating area is lovely but do not like looking into the kitchen, a little awkward for both us and the staff member! Overall would definitely recommend and visit again!

Nice little ice cream parlour that accepts dogs. Bit pricey but the ice creams and sorbets do taste good. The tables/chairs area is a bit bland/soulless to be honest but at least it isn’t tacky like the dessert places with black and hot pink/red decor.

Really nice ice-cream and sorbets, that you can also have with a waffle or a crepe. The kitchen where they make their product is right in the store, with picture windows so you can see what goes into it.

The ice cream is very much basic, you could get the same quality in the supermarket for a much much cheaper price. I thought it would be three generous scoops but I was wrong. The milkshake was horrendous and I had to leave most of it because it tasted so bad.

Impromptu stop here by a guest from Italy who was staying with me. She was excited to see proper Italian ice cream in the UK. She ordered waffles to take away, there were three members of staff serving. After about 5+ minutes another member of staff asked her if she was okay, she said that she was waiting on her waffles. It turned out that the member of staff who took her order and money hadn’t even started making them but had continued serving other customers until she had to be reminded by the other member of staff! We waited for at least another 20 minutes. Her order had been blindly ignored and all we got told was ‘sorry about the wait’! Not the best customer service, as this is not the first time I have had things ‘forgotten’ about. I would expect more considering the amount of hard earned money I am parting with! I will definitely not be recommending Ecco Gelato any more.
