Eat Saigon in Tower Hamlets

Super tasty noodles! Situated just next to Spitalfields market, a lovely restaurant featuring authentic Vietnamese food. Will defo visit again

My partner stumbled on Eat Saigon just a stone's throw from Commercial Rd, at the back of Spitalfields Market. Arriving at midday, we were lucky to be the first people to order lunch. Shortly afterward, the restaurant was filled with locals and office workers ordering theirs too. The food was incredibly good and reasonably priced by London standards! We both chose rice bowls that were packed with meat or tofu and veggies. Great service and super speedy. It was so good we visited again 2 weeks later. Highly recommended!

Always consistently good and very reasonable in comparison to those around it. Chicken and rice and pho always good. One of the few places that seem to have resisted smashing the prices up ridiculously.

I always get the chicken or pork with rice and it’s really tasty and good value for money, with a lovely little salad alongside. Good portion sizes and always very quick. Would recommend.

Popular little place with a steady stream of regulars collecting takeaway lunches whilst we were there. Food was average, Prawn Curry £7.40, Bun Hue for £8.40. Unfortunately there was a hair hanging out of one of the Pork Spring Rolls, but it was replaced.with a suitable apology.

Just had a really delicious tofu banh mi sandwich from here. The tofu was generous and well cooked, the other fillings very fresh and the bread was perfect- very crunchy. I will definitely be back!

Pretty decent food at a good price. Very tasty. Be careful that you actually receive what you order though. My meat roll, when opened, was actually 5 blocks of tofu (I think) 4 kilograms of shredded carrot and a half cucumber. As I was back in the office when I opened it, it became the worlds most expensive bread roll. Pity.

I don’t this place aspires to be anything but average. There are a lot more food choices in this part of town. I’d wanted to try this place for a while. It’s always 80% busy. The Bánh mì was ok. I’ve had better and more authentic elsewhere. Prices are reasonably good for this part of town. Go here only if you’re tired and want to sit and eat and you can’t find a Prets or EAT Recommended? Er, I don’t think so.

Lots of unnecessary plastic for eating in. Summer rolls were loosely wrapped and fell apart. Some bits of unidentifiable animal bits that had the texture of shoe soles.

Wandering about in my lunch break and came across this restaurant. Had Vietnamese chicken curry which was yummy and good value at £6 - I will be back!

classic pork banh mi was ok, baguette itself was average, pate had good flavour. coffee was ok too, could of been stronger in flavour. ok overall snack. will come back to try other menu items tho.

Only ever ordered a vegetarian tofu curry from Eat Saigon. Taste of curry is very mild, neither great or bad. The vegetables and tofu in the curry also taste just okay. The counter staff are very brusque, though not unfriendly. The price is about average for this kind of fast food takeaway establishment in this part of London. The portions are generous however. One oddity is that the staff are all clearly Chinese, but selling Vietnamese food. Maybe they're Vietnamese of Chinese origin.
