Eat Inn at Churchills in Wiltshire

Haven’t been here for sometime but the service and the staff were absolutely amazing. The manager Matt greeted us and had great banta. I observed another member of staff Millie who provided amazing service to this little boy and helped him choose what he wanted and gave him a personal service, Miya provided outstanding service each time I went to the bar and placed an order and was so helpful with my enquiries. The food was outstanding came out hot and fresh the desert I had cookie dough. Sharer was amazing for one.

avoid avoid avoid we booked table then ended up standing waiting before any menber off staff came to us .we were then shown to a dirty table ,left sat no one came to take order in all been in there 40 minutes before we got a drink .meal arrived .warm and nothing like photo on menu i have put a complaint into head office .who said would look into ,have given whens best to phone me to chat still nothing so avoid avoid avoid

Had my daughter’s 6th birthday in wacky warehouse she had a great party! Grace and Henry were very helpful everything ran smoothly and they couldn’t be more friendly and helpful to all the guest would definitely recommend having a party here. 😀

Great atmosphere at a quaint little pub in Swindon. Food was good and Hazel was most attentive, making the whole experience a wonderful affair.

As a large family group with some food allergies we had a great lunch catch up combined with soft play pit stop for the kids. Grave was so helpful in ensuring our needs were met and in customising our food options to meet an allergy, we would definitely stop by again.

Popped in for a couple of drinks and some Katsu Chips with my Daughter. Very nice place, never been before and hopefully will be back one day. Would recommend those Katsu Chips!

We came so the kids can play together whilst they wait for dinner and that’s exactly what happened, Grace in the wacky warehouse part was amazing, really personable and great with the kids, you can tell she loves her job!

Went to soft play area today the grandkids had such a great time,we were well looked after by Olivia, very friendly and helpful,Matt the manager was very welcoming,there is a craft area which is brilliant for winding down the kids ,well stocked with lots of pens paper and things to glue ,all in all a fantastic place for the kids ,good for us great coffee , children entertained themselves

I had a meal last night with 5 friends. There was a limited menu on due to staff shortages. Even though the staff working were obviously busy due to lack of staff they remained cheerful and welcoming. Order was efficiently taken and food all arrived as ordered. I ordered the Hunters Chicken which was lovely. Thanks to Charlotte, Hazel and Jack for trying so hard to make the experience pleasurable. Jack even offered to take a photo for us when he was obviously busy. Hopefully next time we visit there will be a full menu choice and a full quota of staff.

We had a lovely time in the Wacky Play area. It was nice and cool on a very hot day outside. The children could play without me worrying about getting too much sun! They have also set up a lovely craft room. We went in half way through and the children absolutely loved it. Thank you Olivia for making it a lovely morning for us from the service to the craft area.

First time I'm leaving a negative review on TripAdvisor, but honestly the service yesterday was absolutely shocking and the food was terrible. Even my custard was cold with my pudding, the place wasn't busy and yet service was incredibly slow and inconsistent. Was also surprised that we still had to pay entry for the play area even though we were dining at the restaurant, so much potential as a lovely decorated pub but sadly everything else let's it down

AVOID had a birthday lunch for six arrived at 12.45 ordered drinks arrived promptly and ordered starters all fine then didnot receive mains for over 45 mins Food was either overcooked or in one case only the sides arrived and when questioned said it was fajitas not coming out so ended up with no dinner And more worrying one of the party orders vegan and gluten free what arrived was beef burger Poor customer service think they need more staff training

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime with our nephews. The food was good and served hot. There were a few things unavailable but there were plenty of other options to choose from. Added bonus of Blue Light card accepted with a 20% discount! Our server Aga was very friendly and helpful, especially with the boys.

We booked in advance for lunch for six people. Received a phone call the day before to be informed that they would only be serving Sunday roast - no problem we will still attend. Arrived at 1.30pm, promptly ordered drinks and food and waited, waited, waited…. 45 mins later we were informed they were running low on the meat for the Sunday lunches and offered an alternative which we accepted. Again we waited….45mins later were then informed that they had completely run out of food and we would not be getting our lunch. We were offered to choose a burger instead. So we waited a total of 1.5hrs with promises of our food coming soon and ended up leaving having not been served any food at all. We had all had one coke each and was £22 for the privilege. Absolutely disgraceful way to treat customers and diabolical service. We certainly will not return and

stayed here for 2 nights--cant fault the hotel pub had it's staff problems & limited food available but the manager [ sorry dont know his name ] & the chef bent over backwards to accommodate us with a T bone & fillet steak [ both of which were cooked to perfection ] top marks for these staff --all very friendly

Absolutely brilliant for the children to play whilst the the family can then eat together. The young gentleman named Harley working on the kids play area was especially brilliant with all the children. Playing games whilst still managing his job. Hats off to him!!

A great breakfast, and Harlie was fantastic in the Wacky. Went over and above to help, also making sure the equipment was checked regularly.

I went for a lunch with my friend to the pub. They were struggling with walk ins so we just sat at the bar and decide to have a try. Aga helped us a lot allowing us to have a meal ! The food was great. Will be back again !

We booked the hotel and were looking forward to a meal after a long journey. We received a call to say the kitchen was closed due to staffing problems but we could order something in from Uber Eats. However the bar manager - Alga (??)) - an unsmiling, rude and officious lady had other ideas. She told us we could not eat this food we had been advised to order in the bar and that we were “lying” about the call from her colleague!!?? The kitchen was closed and the place was empty. Our kids were hungry and desperate for food and a relaxing drink. But no, we were told we had to leave if any food arrived from outside!! Locals told us the place is struggling and it’s very common to have unhappy guests like us!!. Avoid if you can, the glossy marketing pictures do not show the rude attitude or poorly run nature of this place. Avoid at all costs!!

Nice service and decent menu. Food was good, and came really quickly. Jodie served and was really friendly. Didn’t feel rushed, despite eating solo on a business stay and being on my laptop. Really convenient if you’re staying in the hotel.

Lovely school night treat for me and my little one. Food was lovely (and quick) and a Jodie was very attentive and patient. Found some paper and colouring pencils for my little one (as dad hasn’t provided any entertainment). All in all, we will be back and will bring the rest of the tribe next time.

Me and my family visited this pub last Mother’s Day 2023 so my family thought we would book again this year, never again. Visited a couple of times at the end of last year and was a much better experience but did not recognise many of the staff members this time around and the service was absolutely terrible compared to previous visits, the old guy I assume is the manager as he was in a shirt was rude and arrogant and did not make any of us feel welcome. A couple of us on the table had the beef roast dinner, was very chewy, the vegetables looked like they were from the day before and had about 3 roast potatoes which looked to be the size of a pork scratching to put a positive the only nice thing on the plate was the Yorkshire pudding. This was nothing like what it was like when we visited last year and if I would have known it would have been this bad I wouldn’t have bothered.

Disappointing food. Breakfast was quite dried up and luke warm and bacon undercooked and fatty. Good location with parking.

A great place to take my child in the whacky play area. The service was great and very poilet and welcoming. Ella that was working was very nice and great with my child along with the other kids. She couldn't do enough for you. Keep up the good work we will be back soon.

I visited The Churchill with my mother for lunch - we were greeted by friendly staff that showed us to our table, they checked we were happy with our location and offered an alternative chair if it would make my mother more comfortable. Danielle our server was very friendly and helpful, explaining the menu to us and taking our orders - I wanted to change my meal slightly and this was accommodated without a problem. The food arrived promptly; I ordered the rainbow grain salad without the char-grilled vegetables and substituted with fresh ones instead - this was absolutely delicious and such a generous portion I couldn’t finish it. My mother ordered the grilled salmon fillet with baby new potatoes and lemon and chive sour cream dip and despite having a small appetite ate everything on the plate and said it was delicious too. Sadly we were too full to eat a dessert! Danielle really enhanced our lunch treat - a big thank you for being so helpful and kind.

We go to wacky warehouse alot to let the little one run off some steam. Ella and Jodie are the girls that are in there and oh my they are absolutely brilliant. So helpful and professional manning all from party's to food order to drinks to looking after the kids playing could not fault them and all the other staff at The Churchill are a pleasure to deal with and the food is lovely. Nice chilled environment. Love popping here for a visit. Your staff are a credit to you.

The good is great quality and there is a good selection. They are child friendly and make an effort with the children. Jody who looked after us was fab, she made ordering simple and made sure we were looked after through our whole visit. Soft play is great too! Will deffo return!

Myself and my husband couldn't believe the way that the so called manager was speaking to his staff!! Wasn't a very relaxing dinner at all. The staff were run off there feet and were very pleasant except for one lady I think they called her agger that was barking orders at a young lad across the restaurant while dealing with us it made us feel very uncomfortable and there was no need for the way she spoke to him very rude and embarrasseing he was clearly working very hard. People skills are definitely needed!! No complaint about the food.

Nice atmosphere, clean and tidy although toilets were smelly and in need of a clear up. Food was nice, service excellent with very friendly staff, Jackie was incredibly helpful, chatty and wanting to strike up conversation which was great. Stayed in hotel twice now and have stopped on way for both work and pleasure from Northampton to Cornwall and Wales for drinks/food a number of times. Definitely recommend.

After a terrible breakfast a couple of weeks ago. We were invited back for a lunch or dinner. We decided on an early dinner. What a difference, Jodie waited on us, and she was a gem. Friendly and efficient. We will be back.

The pub/restaurant was a lovely place to be for lunch with our two dogs. Dogs are very welcome here with a bowl of water offered by staff. We had a lovely lunch, we did have a wait of 30 minutes for food but the staff were very apologetic and friendly. The food was lovely. Staff are so warm and friendly. Highly recommend

A group of us meet here most months for a lunch. What makes the place really outstanding is the lovely staff. Yesterday we were served by Carol, who was charming, but then they all are. We had brunch in the wacky warehouse for a child's birthday and it was perfect. Not so big that you lose your kids but still big enough for them to enjoy. Food was lovely, pancakes, and Jodie and the team were very helpful and welcoming.
