Food here is good every time we go. Good variety of dishes to order, decent selection of gluten free options. Large portions and high quality.

Popped in to The Thatch Inn today for lunch, having moved out of the area 18 months ago. There has been some decoration since my last visit and the Bar and Dining area very inviting. The menu was extensive and suitable for all tastes and every occasion. There was a nice vibe today as other customers were enjoying lunch. If you are looking for a long slow lunch or a quick snack, this is the place to go. Our lunch was very enjoyable and I thoroughly recommend sausages and mash and triple chocolate brownie with ice cream. Well worth a visit and we will certainly return very soon. Thank you Thatch Inn for a great lunch and looking after us SO well.

A lovely place to eat with friendly efficient staff. Everything is freshly prepared and beautifully presented. You need to book as it gets very busy and no wonder with the quality of food on offer

The food was excellent and so was the service. We had Beef & Ale pie and Cod & Chips followed by sticky toffee pudding. The portion size was spot on as was the price. We would recommend a visit a visit to the Thatch Inn.

Letting a Child drink in your publandlord said himself you can drink aslong as you don’t get too drunk. Absolutely a disgrace. Police have been informed 15!!!! And was told she could be served long as she doesn’t have too much. Place needs to be shut down, AGAIN!!!

We are at the Thatch there was a wide menu range from homemade soup (v), devilled whitebait, devilled kidneys and homemade hummus and pitta. For main, slow roasted pork belly with mash and cabbage, field mushroom and grilled halloumi burger. the choice of meat, fish and vegetarian was good. We didn't have desert as we were too full.

Staff seemed lovely, starters were great, main course for three of us was great, mine was a tough bit of meat which I didn't eat and spoiled my night, pointed out my cut but not consumed meat when waitress cleared table, couldn't care less, again my brother in the chair to pay for the meal pointed out dissatisfaction with the meat dish, couldn't care less response but a very quiet sorry about that response. A great shame

We didn't eat anywhere else locally on our 3 day trip because the food at The Thatch Inn was SO good! A really nice selection of starters, mains and desserts, freshly cooked and served with a warm smile!

Table booked for 7.30 this evening and our food arrived at approximately 8.45. It wasn’t busy and surprised it took so long. We asked why and the waitress said people were having beef Wellington - so. My food, pork chop, was mediocre and not particularly warm. We have been here several times and we reported that the toilet pan in the Gents was smashed in February and it still has not been repaired. Pretty poor I think. 8

Barista named Evie spent 5 whole minutes talking to her friend and made 5 customers wait longer than need be. After her long conversation, she finally got to her long list of drinks and was unable to handle them without asking for help. At least the Tiramisu Frappuccino was delicious, but she did not make it..

This restaurant is an absolute godsend, I’ve been vegan for six years and I’ve never had a takeaway that I could order from until I found this takeaway, I absolutely love that they do vegan options such as kebabs burgers and curries… I’ve never been able to find This in Gloucester Prior to this, As someone who’s ordered a few times from here, I have found many dishes that I like including the kebabs, Especially the chicken tikka and the chicken sides, However I have one slight problem with the labelling on the takeaway websites. On Deliveroo it is not clear the difference between the vegan dishes and vegetarian ones, on some of them they aren’t labelled as vegan or vegetarian, which is very confusing as a vegan as I don’t want to eat something which isn’t 100% vegan…. Some will say “vhicken” But will not actually specify if this is vegan or vegetarian. Also, I found out today that the chips are vegetarian and not vegan which really confused me as they served as a duo with many vegan labelled mains, But it is not clear that they contain milk or labelled as non vegan ! and this upset me as I’m a vegan and I have ate them before, I would’ve never wanted to if I knew that they were vegetarian and not vegan! I would love it if going forward each and every individual dish on Deliveroo could be labelled as vegetarian or vegan clearly to save this mishap or even have separate menus for vegan any vegetarians Asda is a big difference between the two, And for many, veganism is a very touchy subject and most people will not be happy to be served milk / dairy . The same as I wasn’t
