Fabulous on all accounts. Food was simply delicious. Definitely will be returning. The prices are on the higher end for this area, treat yourself, worth it!

We chose this restaurant for its apparent Asian food experience,, which we were very disappointed in !! The starters of aromatic duck which was for 2 ppl to share...was only enough for 1,, it was bland ,and arrived chopped to bits and not on the bone as the picture shows....my partner chose the crispy mushrooms .. a flour dense coating with very little taste of mushroom.....the mains were,, Japanese katsu with chicken,, the chicken was underwhelming with a minimum amount of katsu sauce,,ordered 2 sides rice &chips....rice was lovely,,, chips were far too salty !! My partner main was chicken & prawns pad Thai,, was OK ........ there is a 10% compulsory service charge on your final bill !!!!! Not worth the money we paid ,,we won't return or recommend...

Food is OK.. nothing special. The chocolate mandarin desert was quite good though in fairness. I can see why there has been some criticism of the service. We were made to wait in the bar well past the reservation time despite the restaurant being quiet. I think the host must have went for a round of golf. I told the bar staff about the delay and they didn't seem to care. When the food was bought out the waiters/waitresses didn't appear to know who had ordered what. Probably should be a 2/5 but the restaurant has a lot of young staff which you have to take into consideration.

The food was great but there were several issues regarding the service. 1. The staff do not seem to know the drinks menu. For example, the Nojito mocktail offered a choice of apple juice or Captain Morgan's 0% alcohol rum. My partner requested this with the latter option. The staff later served the cocktail with a shot of the rum in a separate glass. 2. We felt ignored and constantly had to wait to get attention from our waitress Lexi. When clearing the table after our mains, she did not ask whether we would like any dessert. So we spent about 20 minutes trying to get her attention for us to then ask. 3. The bill did not include the 20% discount featured on the date we had booked, never mind the fact they had charged us for the additional rum that we never requested (as above concerning the mocktail). 4. Regarding the discount above, I had originally sent a message to Celtic Manor on their general contact form (since the restaurant does not have an email/phone number listed on their site) and I never once received a response. Quite honestly I find this extremely bad customer service. To conclude, with all the above issues we experienced, we were not at all happy that we were asked to pay service charge when the standards were below expectations for a supposedly reputable establishment.

We had a delightful evening at the PAD restaurant, enjoying the Monkey King menu by Larkin Cen. The restaurant had a lovely relaxed ambience and was very clean and well presented. The menu was fantastic, it was difficult to choose what to order as it was all so tempting. We decided to go for the taster menu to get a great selection and it did not disappoint! We also added a couple of bao buns as we couldn’t resist. We enjoyed every dish - particular favourites were the prawn toast (such a delightful mouthful!) The lamb cutlets were cooked to perfection, and the beef Rendang was the best I’ve ever had. The pork belly melted in your mouth and I’ve never had tofu as silky as this. Not to mention the custard bun - what a wonderfully rich, sweet vanilla custard! To top it off the service from Ming was wonderful, she really cared about our dining experience and made sure everything was to our liking. To top it all off, we had the pleasure of talking to Larkin which was lovely. He is such a talented, yet humble chef! We highly recommended it and would love to return.

It took over 5 minutes standing at the front desk to get seated. I said it was my birthday and was told we'd get a free drink, which never arrived. Nothing was taken off the bill either. I don't expect free stuff, but why mention it in the first place... My food was brilliant, but my partners pad thai was pretty tasteless and disappointing. Luckily I had enough to share with her, but overall the experience left a little to be desired, especially as it was a 30th birthday celebration. We also had to amend the booking due to golf being delayed by bad weather, and I was charged a £40 booking cancellation fee, which was eventually refunded. The staff also seemed pretty clueless with some requests.

Food poisoning! I ordered the Pad Thai dish along with a few other dishes during our meal. Unfortunately, due to bad prawns in the Pad Thai my stay at the Celtic Manor was cut short due to food poisoning. This was very upsetting. After complaining to the Celtic Manor, the manager at the reception desk refused to offer any refunds/ assist us in any compensation, the manager later walked off from us with attitude mid conversation. This caused us more stress than necessary as my partner is currently pregnant. Do not recommend.

Loved our experience at Pad, 2 adults and 2 young kids who had a few nice options given one is very fussy. The set menu was everything we love about Oriental food, amazing takes on prawn toast, beef rendang and my wife LOVED the chicken soup. Classy experience and a nice chilled atmosphere. Would definitely come again if we visit Wales.

Food was absolutely amazing! Recommend the pork Bao Bun and the duck pancakes Our waitress Havin was super sweet and attentive she really took the Time to see whether everything was okay with the food and if we need any other drinks! Only criticisms: Drinks took quite a long time to get to us Some staff members were not as professional/trained as some when dealing with customers

Went here for valentine’s set meal service was a little slow. They took ages to serve drinks and a 40 minute delay between course. Food was good but desert wasn't the best.

Cancelled at the very last minute, no idea how the food is but the customer service is absolutely shocking.

So accommodating as we were on a tight schedule and could only make a late reservation. So glad we didn’t miss out because our meal was outstanding …. particularly the Bao Buns, both savoury and sweet.

I really don’t understand the poor reviews on here - we have dined here twice and both times have been exceptional. The service is fantastic - particularly Ming who is always helpful and very knowledgeable on the cuisine and how to best enjoy, and the woman who I assume is the supervisor (I think her name was Leanne) who despite dealing with some horrendously rude guests was still friendly and kept our section of the restaurant a little quieter after hearing we had had a stressful week. The food is very high quality and tastes superb although potentially some people find it a little spicy compared to usual British cuisine. The reality is it is part of the Celtic Manor Resort - it isn’t going to be cheap - so if you’re looking for a cheap night out head somewhere else.

A lovely evening at Pads, looked after, made to feel special - great Staff in particular Ming and Leanne made us feel welcome and cared for. Highly recommend for an evening out.

Trying to find the place in the maze they is the Celtic Manor is quite the experience. Good was ok but nothing special.

I read the reviews before coming here and they were very mixed so we weren’t sure what we would get on the day. But we were so glad we went! Ming was so helpful from start to finish. We ordered lots of dishes to try and we weren’t sure of the sizes but she was very helpful and knowledgable about the menu. The food was delicious!! Fresh, well cooked, flavourful and the Katsu sauce was out of this world. It’s made fresh in their kitchen and you can tell. I wish I had the recipe!! I have nothing to fault this place for. It was clean, friendly and attentive and we will definitely be going back.

Overpriced and didn’t taste much better than a microwaveable Tesco meal. The staff were friendly and helpful, but that was about it. There’s something seriously wrong with the toilets which made me almost sick - hundreds of flies. Absolutely vile.

Delectable. The food was truly unbelievable, I had the Korean Steak and it was throughly enjoyable. I loved the restaurant itself, the decor is asian inspired and spacious. The staff are so lovely and attentive and it’s not extortionately priced, I can’t fault it.

Visiting Celtic Manor Golf Resort, we had a booking for this restaurant for an evening meal the food and service was First Class,

hotel wants to think it’s 5* and may have been at one time but the management have lost the plot and definitely don’t understand customer service, that’s the biggest issue, it’s no better than bad 3* I avoid the place, never used to but don’t like giving them my money 😩😩😩

No wow factor. A very average meal in a very average restaurant. The menu clearly hadn't been updated for some time, the menu online also had cheaper prices than in the restaurant. Braised octopus wasn't soft, how it should be in a bao so was hard to eat. Very underwhelming experience for what is quite an expensive restaurant. Phó or Wagas would be better value for money.

We had an amazing experience at the Pad this evening. From the moment we got there we were made to feel so special. It was our 10 year anniversary and the members at the Pad made it extra special. From the complimentary champagne to beautiful card, chocolates and the overall service it will always be remembered. The food was delicious! A very big thank you to Kelsey for such exceptional service. Thank you for helping my husband to also present me with my gift.

We had the most wonderful Xmas Eve lunch. Food was requisite, service excellent and a great atmosphere. Very highly recommend.

A little cold inside. First waitress not particularly welcoming or friendly but she did mellow. Second waitress much more light hearted. (Possibly shift change?) Table not ready had to wait in window seat. Not great value for money but quite a pleasant ambience.

Our first, and certainly not our last visit to this pub. We booked it on a friend’s recommendation and met up with my sister and her husband. It was perfect. Great staff, fabulous food, we shall be back with our four grown up children as soon as you reopen post lockdown 👍

Lovely food and great environment to relax and enjoy

Popped out for Sunday lunch while kitchen being renovated. Lovely part of Hampshire to walk to build up an appetite. Peat Spade didn’t disappoint. Roasts good and fish too. Puddings excellent. Service top notch and friendly. Ambience of a country gastropub suffers from the mandatory COVID spacing. That is the only mark down. Not sure what can be done in that regard.

Food excellent. Good service. Only problem was portion size. A bit mean. We had to have pudding because we were still hungry.

The service was brilliant very friendly and helpful. The dessert I enjoyed most ... was the chocolate fondant the lemon in the ice cream made it really good and would order that again. I would definitely visit again ...would like some music it was very quiet but enjoyed lunch.

Peat Spade is always dependable, great food, nice bar and beer, always a good choice.

I love the Peat Spade and come often, however this time I was disappointed. As always, the service was great and very friendly. I ordered a rare steak and got a medium to overdone one. I sent it back and the next one was raw. I rather felt the chef was sending me a message - probably not but that was how I felt. I did not send this one back but wish I had. Sorry, I won't give up but I did not leave happy. Nick M

Co vid efficient. Service very good without being obtrusive. Food of a high standard..menu reasonable considering the situation.

We had an early dinner after golf at Leckford and a pleasant walk around Stockbridge. It was early and there is a pandemic, but we had a lovely experience. Friendly welcome, very peaceful, attentive service and excellent food. We were the only diners (it was a Tuesday) which wouldn't suit everyone, but we loved it.

Delicious food and very friendly staff, however had to wait lengthy times between courses, then had to leave 5 minutes after dessert had been finished.

My Mum, Dad and I booked to go here during the week and it was soooo lovely ! The food was amazing! The lamb and white bean main was utterly spectacular and the banana pudding - my goodness! Songs should be written! We all had a lovely time and the people working there were super too - would absolutely recommend!

Only one fault, the artisan bread, as alot of white bread included. However, both the pork and beef roast were sublime. Excellent staff, with great buzzy ambience, but very safe. Highly recommend.

Great pub feel with proper Sunday roasts. Dropped 1 star on the food because the perfectly cooked Rib of beef was unfortunately over salted for our palette but everything else was superb. We had 3 vegetarians in our party and they had a good choice of mains. Definitely returning, Can’t wait to rebook!

Never been here before but loved it! The young lady who greeted us and explained everything was very helpful indeed and was so cheery and smiley - even with her mask on:) Food was delicious and choice was just perfect, even the veggie choices were created with imagination and the gnocchi was absolutely just what was needed on the day. We were seated near the door which was quite noisy due to repeated instructions being given to everybody who entered BUT then felt we could chatter without worrying about our noise levels too! We left feeling very satisfied and agreed we WILL be back so thanks to all at the Peat Spade Inn :)

Lovely country pub with much better than average food.

We lunched with friends and were all of the same opinion that The Peat Spade is worth a visit. Our meals were very good, well prepared and tasty. Service again was good, efficient and friendly. Importantly, during these Covid times we all felt safe and that everything that could be done had been done to ensure a safe environment.

Overall the lunch was excellent, as it has been on previous occasions. The only issue, as previously, is being bothered by one or two flies. Better pest control would improve the experience,

Despite booking early we weren't able to sit outside. It seemed random how tables were allocated.

Service and food were outstanding, glad when the menu is changed to accommodate more dishes. Look forward to a return in the near future.

Haven't been in for a few years but proved to be a good refuelling stop on way back from bike ride. Very happy with food and drink choices - wife said chicken burger was especially tasty. All Covid stuff was nicely in place but would have preferred servers to have worn masks. Definitely won't leave it so long before next visit.

Our first visit to The Peat Spade. We were very late for lunch or early for dinner, 5.15 on a Sunday. Didn’t have any expectations, the food was perfect a proper beautifully cooked roast and a delicious crumble. We sat in the garden and enjoyed the September sun. The service was excellent, friendly and relaxed. We will return soon.

A real hidden gem outside the hustle and bustle and tourist trap of Stockbridge. A lovely pub, with a decent menu and excellent beer garden. All you could want on a sunny Sunday afternoon, the Sunday lunch was excellent.

Beautiful building and interior. Food absolutely gorgeous, I had roast chicken and the chocolate brownie for dessert. Service was excellent. Toilets very nice and very clean. Will certainly visit again.

We had a warm welcome and prompt service, the food and wine were excellent with a really great Sunday roast and proper puddings.
