There was a problem with the card machine. After trying for 5 mins still not fixed. Manageress came to tills and started shouting at staff and then at me(!). I left and ate elsewhere and will never return.

Tried numerous sandwiches/wraps/hot foods from here and haven't tried one i have disliked yet! It is worth noting that they don't have a lot of Vegan options, but plenty of veggie! If you order a matcha, be aware that they do use syrup as well unless you specify otherwise.

When we arrived in the city district we just wanted a quick bite to eat so came in here. Lots of fresh sandwiches, soups and pies to choose from. I was surprised to see quite a few of these within a small area and not a Pret in sight.

had breakfast here - staff friendly , helpful but disappointed in the bacon roll for breakfast. Roll was stodgy and bacon just warm, coffee-latte was fine. did not eat the bacon roll -gave up after a couple of bites

This branch of EAT gets a lot of traffic, and perhaps therefore they don’t feel that customer service is important; please note, it is. Yesterday I ordered a main without the garnish or the rice (a no dairy, low carb option) and therefore paid full price for half a meal, I wasn’t remotely disgruntled with that at all as it was exactly what I ordered - what I didn’t expect was to be openly laughed at by the server. Not once, but twice. I was so offended by the whole episode that I threw my lunch immediately in the bin and walked out. Not what I would expect from a huge chain usually very consistent in speed of service and staff.

Saturday morning breakfast: Coffees were quite good, niece enjoyed her croissant, but my sister and I were disappointed with our bacon & egg rolls: barely luke-warm egg and rather dry bacon served in a bun with absolutely no relish or garnish - I've had far better at McDonalds or a street vendor. Disappointed as have previously eaten well at other Eats. Conclusion: don't go in on a quiet Saturday morning - the food has probably been pre-cooked and is just waiting on a hot-plate until served.

Ordered for delivery a best of both worlds meal deal and a pastrami steak box. Turned up stond cold and the pastrami in the combo was miniscule compared with the other. Considering it cost 24 pounds for a single burger chips and a tiny little piece of pastrami I feel ripped off and disappointed. Wont be returning.

Completely dead despite it being a busy night out. Menu prices are only visible if you hold the page at a certain angle that catches the light - maybe that's why it was an £80+ meal for one?? Food completely underwhelming- starter calamari (three rings) rubbery and a dip that was way too glutinous....for nine quid!! Main course steak served on a cold plate - tasteless and uninspiring. Blue cheese sauce like nothing blue cheese related that I've seen before...I think it's out of an Aldi squeezy bottle of 'blue cheese sauce'. Also really glutinous and unappetising. Wine was mediocre, cocktail was meh, service good but felt like they wanted me out asap. No surprise it was so devoid of customers.

£4.50 for an oat flat white. Served with a frown.
