I was last here 5yrs ago and the new revamp is 10x better, still a massive choice of food plus a kids section for nuggets and sausages chips, and also a very good dessert section, and you just keep going round and round till youve had your fill. The bar is well stocked and although the bill was £49 including drinks, i think its very good for the amount of food you can get, great evening

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little apprehensive, but I always say don't judge a place on other people's views. We were booked in for 6.45 and were shown to our table,we had several plates between us, and the food was very good, nice and hot with a good variety, they were constantly refilling the dishes. The restaurant was full, so other people must like it. The staff were pleasant and polite, always clearing your tables. Our 6 year old granddaughter was with us, the £10 we paid for her was expensive as she only had a few chips and small some dessert. Overall it was a nice evening and I would go again.

5/5* definitely recommend coming here! we came on a Saturday around 3pm food was fresh and consistently being restocked when near empty staff are great and come and collect plates and clean tables asap once someone has done with their stay! we ate around 3/5 small plates each and a desert for £20.99 the food isn’t super salty and doesn’t become overwhelming meaning you don’t walk out feeling really pogged not sure what the bad reviews are for this is a great chinese buffet and not many more in the area!

This was my first time here, and even though I arrived just after 12 noon, which is when it opens for the noon meals, the place was already busy with people queuing to get in. This usually means that the food is going to be good, well this turned out to be true the food was good, and their was plenty of choice. Both my partner and I started with a soup, I added noodles to mine, then we filled our plates with what we fancied meaning that we had differing mixes; and we then went back for seconds choosing the foods that we had liked, and then we had cake, fruit and ice-cream for afters. We both ate too much but it was too nice to stop eating before we were full. Not good for diets, but we will go back!

Group booking was plentiful to choose from and hot food full of taste definitely worth the money. Recommend. Deffo worth a visit

Absolutely awful !!! Went for mother in laws birthday ! Hardly anything there … what was there was dried up. Everything tasted the same…. Crap … Desserts also rubbish someone had run off with the chocolate fountain and just left a muddy puddle Save yourselves some money and don’t bother

Definitely won't be returning. The food was like dog food no taste to any of the dishes. Greasy.. Dirty floors. Glasses were dirty

Went for valentine's evening. Took 3 teenagers with us so it wasn't a cheap night. Far too many people. We got seated upstairs even though we had pre booked, this meant carrying plates up steps to our table. It was that full it was overly warm inside. The que for food was ridiculous that the kids didn't bother getting much. Felt like a cattle market where they had literally tried to squeeze as much money out of one night without a care to their customers. Has definitely put us off going back. Should have stayed in and ordered a take out and saved a load of money and actually had a full meal

The first time we visited this restaurant. When we got there, the waiter was absolutely not polite and immediately asked what kind of drink he could bring... "Ok, step back" our jackets were still on and we didn't even know where to sit... But finally we managed to sit down. There was no drinks sheet on the table to let us know what drinks were available."like a pub" the food was simply disgusting only the middle heater worked where there were only leftovers of dry chicken dishes. I can honestly say that I do not recommend this place to anyone. We paid the full amount of £13 per person and got nothing but dog food.

Booked a table, turned up to be queuing from the door for 30 minutes. Total chaos. Left without eating after still not being seated.

Booked a table for 4 people for saturday 27 Jan 24 well in advance. Booked for 7pm and turned up at 6.45 to find a huge que of people outside. Seems they had got things very wrong. Said they had allowed walk ins so people who had booked couldnt get in. eventually found someone from staff at 7.15 who said we would have to wait about 30 mins. We left and got a take away. Not good when you have boked but they didnt seem to care. Lots of people complaining. Dont bother going at weekend or even thinking booking will help

All the food tasted so dry and old, like it’s been stood there a week and slightly reheated, Nothing at all was sizzling fresh or even appeared hot, even the chips would break your tooth, sweet and sour balls appeared to be three times fried and old as did everything else. They insist you pay before you dine, I understand why, if I’d have dined first, I’d have left after a couple of mouthfuls. We travelled over an hour to get here and I couldn’t wait to leave. There used to be a really good All you can eat at near this location so was hoping for the same. Not this one. Absolutely the worse Chinese All you can eat I’ve ever had. Maybe it’s because we went on a Wednesday so nothing was fresh. Dessert section was rubbish, looked like frozen Swiss roll, cheap frozen cut up deserts, and not a lot of choice, very bland, even the ice cream was cheap and bland like, choice of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry and just cheap big tubs, no quality. Around the desert area is just a plastered wall that’s not decorated?? Only thing I enjoyed were the noodles…. And leaving! No atmosphere and didn’t see a staff member smile all night. Sorry but not good enough at all.

One of only a few chinese "all you can eat buffet " left near to us so we were keen to try when it reopened. We were very impressed the food was hot, very tasty and constantly topped up, there was just so much choice l defy anyone not to find something they didn't like. The place was cleaner than an operating theatre and the staff couldn't have done more. Will definitely be going back, the chocolate in the fountain is delicious

Came here on a mid week evening with some friends. It was busy but we were seated and served quickly. The food was really good; plentiful, steaming hot and regularly replenished. A wide range of dishes to choose from and a good selection of desserts. The waiters clean your plates and glasses away very quickly which is a bonus!

got here for opening at 12pm, to a bus load of school children also arriving, we went in got seated, then the chaos evolved, 45 school children stood queuing at the side of our table so we got up and moved, then having to queue behind 45 school children to get lunch took nearly an hour, refusing to wait anymore we asked for a refund which was refused! Will not be coming back again!

My nana took me here as I'd never been before. We had a table booked. Upon arrival the car park was extremely busy and very tight spaces. We entered to see how busy it really was! We had to wait as they didn't have a table ready. Greeted by the host I was disappointed as there was no friendly welcome or greeting, just rushing around and quite abrupt. He asked if we wanted a table upstairs or downstairs.... My nana was with me with w walking stick?? This is why we had to wait as they didn't have anything downstairs. We weren't asked upon booking if we wanted upstairs or down or had someone disabled in our party. When ready the host told us to go to table 18 and pay at the bar now and off he went. There are some missed skills here! I had no idea where table 18 was, neither did my nana but eventually we found it. Paid £5.99 for a Jack Daniels & Coke! Never again. But.. what made up for everything was the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic! Super friendly, really on top of their job roles and very helpful. Consistently smiling. The food offerings were exceptional, great tasting food with plenty of options for all! never seen a Chinese buffet so big with lots of options and plenty of dessert options too! I've never had so many plates at a buffet before and I really cannot wait to go back! This is a must visit!

If I could give place zero stars I would! Absolutely awful & the place is filthy.... all tables, sides & surfaces were sticky & mucky. There was food & built up grime on majority of walls, blinds & skirting boards! Extremely over priced for what you get. Please don't waste your hard earned cash here, environmental health needs to close this place down before someone becomes really ill

Great food, lots of choice, worth the price. Went here mid week for the dinner menu, we arrived without booking just before 5 and the queue was to the door but went down quickly. The restaurant did fill up almost entirely by half 5, this was during school holidays and there were lots of families with kids, so it might be quieter other times of year. All the food was fresh and literally steaming hot. There is a really good selection of popular dishes and everything we had tasted great. Most of the food around the outside line was free of sauce (which you can choose to add yourself) so there are good options for kids or picky eaters. The central island has most of the dishes in sauce. There are signs above which gives the ingredients / allergens for each dish, though you may have to double check as they're placed above and not always in order but it is usually obvious which is which. We each had 2 full plates and everything we tried was fresh and tasty, very similar to take-away food but for the amount we had it was more worth the cost than ordering in at home, and you get more variety, better quality and all hot and fresh. There is also a dessert section, this includes some small bite-sized cakes and pastries, some larger options, an icecream machine, scooped icecream, fruit and a chocolate fountain. Staff were attentive and took finished plates away very quickly and all were polite. There were lots of staff moving about so if you needed something it is easy to get their attention. The bar is also central to the majority of tables if you want additional drinks. The only downside we noticed was some of the other clientele, the table behind us had a large party of all very young children including a baby, and the one adult with them allowed them to throw food around and all over the floor, for the entire duration of their stay, adult seemed to think it was funny the baby was bashing the table with a spare rib (who gives a baby ribs?) and did not clean up after themselves. Once they had gone staff were quick to clean up the huge mess (felt very bad for them!) But just to be aware it's the kind of place this isn't unusual, pot luck where you get seated and the atmosphere is quite loud with lots of children (not the restaurants fault though). Overall I'd definitely come back, food was good and fairly priced, and they do have a cheaper lunch option available on weekdays.

Don’t bother booking a table. My niece picked here to have a family meal for her 21st. We booked a table for 7pm and I got there about 10 to 7 with balloons and things for the table so we could be set up when she got there. I told the host we had a booking and he just said wait here, in the entrance, and walked off. He kept coming back and taking in couples and people who hadn’t booked and left me stood there. After about ten minutes I stopped him and asked if our table was ready and he said I’d have to wait for one to be available. I asked what was the point of booking if that didn’t reserve us a table and he just replied ‘I can’t leave a table empty all day just for when you come in’. I don’t know how they manage to run a business, most restaurants will make a note of bookings and if they have a table booked at 7pm, they will leave it empty from about 6.30 or 6.45 so that the BOOKED party have a table ready. He was completely unhelpful and arrogant even when I explained it was a special occasion (although I think the balloons would have made it obvious). We ended up leaving and going to harvester who very kindly rearranged some tables so we could have a meal there. Would not recommend going here if you care at all about customer service

Had a booking of 20 people and everyone was already sat down inside, the queue went down the car park with at least 30 people waiting. We went to the front of the queue and let the man know we had a booking and everyone was sat down but he said you need to join the queue and wait like everyone else. By the time we got in everyone had eaten a course. When we finally got to the front the man checking everyone in was full of attitude and doenst know how to deal with people. The manager couldn't care less. There was a long queue to get to the food and some poor people had the queue going past their table it must have been so awkward for them. Food is terrible and even the kids don't like the jelly. Was like a block of rubber with no flavour. Will never step in this shambles again

Haven’t been here for years and I don’t tend to be one for Chinese as I’m pretty simple but my friend kept begging me to go for the buffet with her. I reluctantly went and wow was I suprised at how much they had in different ways I easily smashed 3 plates with how nice it was I couldn’t get enough don’t get me started on the chocolate foundation wow

The last time I visited here was probably 2007 and it was lovely back then. I had heard bad reviews since so had stayed away. However, a couple of weeks ago we decided to visit for a couple of family members birthdays and was pleasantly surprised. Apart from the lady trying to charge us an extra £40 no idea how, we had a good night. It was quite expensive and they charged the kids adult prices, this is the case if your child is above the market on the height chart, even though they hardly ate anything which I thought was wrong. There was plenty of choice in food, it was hot and very tasty. The puddings were a bit of a let down and not very nice. The drinks were quite extortionate and as much as I didn’t mind paying as soon as we walked through the door it wasn’t easy to then order another drink. I’m sure at some point we will be back as there aren’t too many Chinese buffet restaurants around.

First time back after the re- opening and having read all the reviews was a little cautious. We had booked so on entering the very pleasant lady on reception explained that we would pay first including drinks and then be shown to our table. Strange but in a busy establishment but it's one way to beat the " runners". To be fair it was a little light on chinese decorations and very remotely resembled a staff canteen, having said that the place was spotless clean, the staff happy and ready to help. We though the food delicious, it was hot and appetizing and pleanty of variety, enough to satisfy all tastes. We ate too much and nobody wanted breakfast. If you like a menu written in French for unrecognisable food then this is not the place to go, however we shall be frequenting again very soon

Not bad but absolutely disgusting prices for beverages got my daughter some tap water what she asked for but ask for a little black currant and it cost £3 i said are you kidding no it was probably the cheapest nastiest blackcurrant they could buy £4.80 for cider which was reasonable compared to the diluted tap water it wasn’t much to write home about

The food was well cooked, server hot and there was loads of choice. We have seen some very negative reviews before we went but are not sure if they went to the same buffet? Drinks were ordered at the door and you were given a table number and left to enjoy your food. Plates were cleaned as soon as they were empty. Wide selection and some good flavours as well.

Paid £33 for prawns that was like mush, every main meal was dried up, it was really bad, the ice cream was a off white colour, the food tongs were to hot to use, won't be going back just wasn't right at all, apart from the water

We booked a table for 6 a few weeks ago for the 4th of December. On arrival I took my wife to the lift to go upstairs As she has a broken leg. On getting upstairs I told the waitress we had booked a table for 6 for 7-30 and she just shrugged his shoulders and said "you need to pay before you come upstairs" I replied how can I pay if we don't know what we had ordered yet? I was told to go downstairs as talk to the receptionist. I went downstairs and spoke to the man in reception and explained I had booked a table for al a carte upstairs and he told me the al a carte upstairs was off due to shortage of staff! There were no tables free downstairs so we had nowhere to eat. Then I saw my wife who told me the person upstairs had demanded she had to pay before sitting at a table. What a horrible place this has become, not a phone call telling us that the al a carte upstairs was off. Avoid like the Plague, very disrespectful.

Coming at 8.30pm on a Sunday night was probably the issue here... food wasn't terrible but have had much better, even in the same place.Staff watch you as the evening ticks on so they can clock off, but I wouldn't leave quick despite them making us feel uncomfortable.Some foods were missing, some desserts were just taken off so they could tidy.Just below average.

Me and my friend always come here and usually enjoy it however this time was different. My friend who is a vegetarian thought she was getting veg spring rolls as what the label said when she bit into the spring roll it had meat in it. Then when we complained he went and checked and said someone swapped the label and nothing could be done about but having paid £40 and then for my friend to be put off eating this is disgusting think it’s time to find a new all you can eat.

Nothing good to say about here. Pay on entry should have set off alarm bells really. I literally couldn't eat any of the food. I basically paid £37 for 2 diet cokes. Probably the worst food I have ever seen. Cold bad quality meat in something called a sauce but resembled coloured oil. Dry noodles and cheap icecream. Dirty crockery. Not a place I can recommend.

Shocked!!! Has this place been taken over? What happened? We booked a table but arrive a little early, theres no waiting area now. Then we are led to the counter where we have to pay immediately, know what drinks we want as fast. We paid then told table number so we had to try find our own table.Food dismal, workers leaning right over you to collect plates no covid care :0/We won't be returning and certainly would not recommend!!!

We visited today (29/10) for the lunch Buffett. On arrival the man wanted to charge me for my 3 year old & my not even 1 year old baby. I told him they wasn’t eating. He rudely said ‘not a single thing?’ I said no. We got told to go to this table which was cramped in between other tables so requested to move. He made us sit somewhere we didn’t want. After this my partner ordered a pint. The drinks were delivered to our old table & we had to move them ourself. He sat us infront of the counter so he could make sure my children wasn’t eating anything. I think it’s outrageous to charge £6 for a baby in the first place! We’ve been to Buffetts before and gave our baby a chip or a cracker , never been asked to pay £6 for the luxury! We felt intimidated when eating , there was THREE staff watching us at all times literally just to make sure. When they brought my partner his half a pint over, he said he ordered a pint, he took it away to replace it and said ‘you only ordered half a pint’ when he didn’t at all, so rudely said you have to pay £1,90 extra. We then asked a female member of staff to shut the blinds as the sun was in our eyes. It was like we’d ask for the world. Never have I been made to feel so crap in a restaurant! I think you need to train your staff to be polite & not rude and reconsider charging for babies! Absolutely ridiculous! They also was watching people eating whilst pointing and laughing. Absolutely vile place.

Been twice in the last month and it's lovely. Only one slight complaint is that some of the food could be a tad warmer. But doesn't put us off coming back.

Turned up at 8.30to a half empty restaurant told despite it saying on here they are open till 11 that the kitchen closes at 9 god help anybody that orders a collection after 9 as its probably cooked by the cleaner

I must give credit to whoever made the website, it looks like a decent place on there! What an absolute dive! Came for tea today for the first time, I can quite happily say I will never step foot in the place again! It looks like a community centre, or a care home lounge. Staff are extremely rude. Plates were dirty, dried up curry on the side of the plates. Even the customers were dressed like they were on the school run. Trackys and leggings. Honestly, I cannot believe how nice the website makes this place look! What an absolutely disgusting place.

We queued to get into the restaurant for 25 mins when we got to the front of the queue we were told we have to pay in advance! £15.90 each… We accepted this even though I have never been asked in a restaurant to pay before I eat! The food was terrible! The soup was stone cold, all the food not in a sauce (noodles, chips, spring rolls etc) were dry and inedible, the meats that were in a sauce (sweet and sour chicken, beef curry etc) were all tough, the duck was overcooked, and the pancakes were very thick! And I found hairs in some of the dishes! No COVID procedures in place! I understand the pandemic is almost over however I still expect some safety precautions to be in place. The tables are placed extremely close to each other, I was in a queue of around 20 people to get food, there are no sanitising areas near the food station (so you are touching the same utensils to serve yourself food as everyone else!), and to get to the buffet area you have to weave in and out of all the people queueing to come in to the restaurant! AND when I explained to one of the waitressing about the food and how disappointed I was in it, I got a very rude response of “well it isn’t my fault!”, then she walked off!If I haven’t have had to paid when I entered the restaurant I would have walked out! I was absolutely disgusted! I will not be returning!

I have been to loads of Chinese all you can eats, just like most Yorkshire people i love all of them. But this one was actually top quality! All of the dishes were steaming hot and absolutely delicious, i will definitely be going back quite regular.

We originally rang up to ask how long the wait is and how much it would cost and we got told “doesn’t matter about the price we will see you in 10 minutes”. Once we had got there we had to pay on arrival and it was £35 for 2 people, we got seated next to the bins and the table was really sticky, once we had gone to get the food we were stood in the line but next to other people who were eating which was quite awkward. Once we had moved up the line a lady come round and shouted excuse me and then put her hand on my back and pushed me out of the way, we then sat down and was constantly stared at by staff, once we had finished our plates to say the staff weren’t busy it took them a while to clear the table, we then went up to get another plate for the same lady to come round with big metal plates to then push me out the way again and nearly burn my arm. It felt very rushed and intimidating. We waited 15 minutes for someone to come and clear our table again and bring us our drinks that we had originally ordered and by this time we had been sat down for over an hour. Nobody would answer you when you tried to speak to them and all the workers had there’s phones either in their pocket or hand. Very poor professionalism, would not waste your time nor money going to this place as it just seemed that once they got your money they didn’t care what happened to you. Will definitely not be returning!

This place has no atmosphere or character to it, it's focused on to service as many people as possible at low cost. Tables for 2 are positioned in awkward places where everyone passing through bump into you with lower parts of their bodies. Not very comfortable so we asked to be moved. It was a busy Saturday evening so queue to the buffet was long. Food was nice, slightly overcooked but tasty, usual Chinese buffet menu. Desserts were not great, some muffins that looked like purchased from Lidl, jelly was tasteless. Very big minus for the coke. It was diluted and there was no gas left to it. Absolutely terrible and unacceptable. Next time I would order bottled drink.Overall it's OK place to visit but nothing fancy.

What a rip off. This was my grand daughters favourite restaurant and we would visit every time she came to stay. Our last visit what a shock. Since the refurbishment and lockdown the price for an adult has gone up to a ridiculous price and the children’s price I could feed 30 children as there are those that do not eat a lot and others that do but not at 8.50 per child under 1.3 meters. It is a shame as their food has improved 100% and if it was not so expensive we would go a lot more often. I do understand that there are people who pile their plates up and then leave half the food which is disgusting and they should be made to pay for the food but not penalise those of us that only eat what we want and children who do not even eat 4.00 pounds worth of food. Sorry very disappointed

Food was disgusting and didn’t look fresh.Staff were useless.Whilst I was having my first plate, one of the staff decided to scrape leftover food into a tub in front of me.Best thing about that place was the pint of Carlsberg.If you want to avoid been poorly don’t come here!

Poorly managed and no basic hygiene measures in place at all. Haven't folk and businesses learnt anything this past 18 months? Went tonight 31.07.21 around 6pm and everyone serving themselves using tongs. No gloves to use at the buffet to serve your food like the signs asked you to use. No hand sanitizer in use at any of the food serving areas (take your own), people just picking with bare hands out of the food trays. Kids fingers in the desserts at the serving area. Worst of all wenr to the loo to wash hands on our way out and saw a guy who had just been in the cubicle at the toilet leave the toilet without washing his hands to go back and join the buffet queue. Never mind Covid, Gastroenteritis will be more of a worry. In contrast places like Cosmo, make you sanitised your hands and wear a glove as you pick up a plate to keep hygiene standards as high as possible. That aside, £38 for two people plus two soft drinks is a bit of a rip off. Some food clearly from the lunch sitting as rock hard and dry.

Came here for the first time recently. We arrived at 4:45pm just after it opened at 4:30pm and we had to sit and wait around 20 minutes as the buffet wasn’t ready. Didn’t bother us but maybe open at 5pm instead to make sure everything is out ready. Loads of choice and managed to try some new things. Some items lacked flavour and it’s not the best Chinese that I’ve been to, but it wasn’t too bad.

We have been here many times and have always enjoyed it in the past. We have visited twice during this Covid era and have to commend the staff for their hard work. They place is well set out and clean, the staff are wearing masks and gloves and the food is as good as its ever been.

Upon arriving and being seated we noticed the cleanliness was not up to standard in the current situation were all in it was also freezing. Me and my fiance attended with my mother and her elderly friend.Not all staff were wearing masks n gloves whilst serving us our drinks n food. The sides n counters opposite our table were disgustingly filthy with dust and old food. When eating our dinner they was rushing us as to what we wanted to order next. Because it was table service we ordered off the menu which was wrong and with items missing everytime it arrived. The lady who brought the food was very rude and just chucked the plates on the table needing my mother to catch it before it fell on the floor. My fiance was left a good 10 minutes with clean cutlery after requesting it. My mother was drinking English tea was was luke warm. After ordering some boiling water for it we watched it just come from the hot tap behind the bar. All the food that arrived at the table was cold. Desserts was a very big let down too. Was just shop bought Swiss rolls cut up and rice crispie buns.I regret not taking pictures as proof Overall not a very nice experience and will not be returning

This is my favourite go to place when I fancy Chinese food and after a last bad experience with the new covid restrictions I was going to leave it a while before returning, but having seeing a new review on here that they had changed the system I thought I’d return.We eat and go so weren’t too bothered that when we arrived it was just a little over half an hour to closing. It was empty apart from one other couple finishing off. Staff were really friendly and directed us to the buffet saying if there was anything else we wanted that there wasn’t enough off to let them know and they’d sort out more and explaining about wearing gloves but there was plenty left. You could obviously tell that some things understandably had been out a while because it was a little dry but it was still hot and as tasty as always. All in all a fabulous experience made more so by getting to the till and the cashier explaining that they are still offering a 30% discount. We couldn’t eat half the food for that price from our local takeaway.

Have eaten here on several occasions. The food selection is good, always hot and plenty of it. The service is good and the staff are always clearing empty plates ready for the next round 😂.

We came on Tuesday evening, we had to wait outside till our table was ready but this wasn't a problem at all. Drinks arrived quickly after ordered. When we went up for food it was back to self service, we have to wear masks when collecting food and disposable gloves are given out to get food. Which i think is a brilliant idea. The food was lovely, fresh and constantly being filled up. Only bad point was not the restaurant but other parents letting their kids run riot.

We went to Easter court with the family tonight. And was shocked how long we had to wait for our meals the Queu was ridiculous so we had to get 2 plates saves going back. And the the second plate of food was flat cold. Would not recommend going till it all gets sorted properly.

Brilliant food choice and most of all the young members of staff were fab as for the rest enjoyed our family visit this evening 💙

I agree with the last review, the system here doesn’t work and it wasn’t even as busy as it could’ve been. This is one of my favourite places to eat and we visit regularly but after my recent visit, I’ll wait until things go back to normal even if it’s next year.Stood in the entry area ten minutes despite being dead on time for our reservation bunched in with lots of other people also waiting. Was taken to our table eventually and ordered drinks. Went to wait in the queue for the buffet which had around 8 people in it and waited and waited for around 20 mins before we could go into the area, we noticed people had two plates so as not to que about 20 mins again. Only one member of staff in there serving the three of us.We had to say what we wanted and they served some onto your plate. Some things they gave you lots off and some things hardly anything, so I seemed to end up with lots of my least favourites and hardly none of my main go to items and it felt awkward to mention it. By the time we got back to our table and started eating most of the food was cold because the food had been on our plate a while (took us about ten/fifteen minutes to choose our food) We noticed that the dessert section wasn’t manned and it was pot luck if someone noticed you and served you. We tried to order another drink and the girl said yes I’ll come in a minute and never reappeared. A better plan would be to do table service and let customers choose what they want and then bring it to them which would limit the waiting around and everyone would be sat at their table too and at least could drink their drinks. Ours were warm and going about flat after half an hour of faffing about.I’m sorry I have to write this review because I really like this place and the staff are really lovely here but it was an absolute shambles. Hopefully they’ll think of different ways around the problems.

New way of serving doesn’t work. Obviously they have to make changes due to covid to protect themselves and everyone else but this just seemed too much and spoiled the whole ‘all you can eat’ beget experience.So firstly we booked via phone. No one said you need to bring a mask. There was 5 of us and they met us at the door to tell us we had to wear a mask in the restaurant whilst walking about. This is fine but if I knew that the kids bass to wear them too I could have bought enough, however had to buy more at 50p each.We then got into the entrance and required to use hand sanitiser (good) they said ‘read this’ pointing to two ages of rules on the wall. A second later they said follow me - we didn’t get a chance to read anything!We then was asked what we wanted to drink before even sitting down. No drinks menu or prices in sight. We filled in our details for track and trace. This did not confirm what our details were being used for but I presume it was this was for.Donning our masks as requested we went to get our food and got scolded by a bloke for looking! Like naughty little children we were told we were not to touch anything. Apparently that was what was on the sign that we were ushered past on the way in. They took us 1 by 1 round the buffet area with us pointing to what we wanted. That in itself would not normally be an issue. We have been to a few carverys where this has worked well. However it doesn’t here.There is far too much here and you can’t see what there is like with a carvery that is all out in front of you. It was rushed and you didn’t get a chance to ‘browse’ or try different bits.I really do see why they are doing it this way but to do it properly they need a lot more staff, a better layout for the buffet as there was a long queue forming and the chap serving was impatient and the whole experience felt very awkward. There was also waiting around for puddings. This was a bit of a void area as not manned. Just felt you couldn’t go up and try as many bits as you would normally, especially when there is a big queue - which consisted of numptys queueing across the whole width of the .restaurant and right next to your table.Think it would be better if they either supplied gloves so you could continue to help yourself (as you already have a mask on) or you fill in a tick list of what you want or they go ala carte.We wouldn’t go again unfortunately. I just don’t like the way it works but also the food wasn’t that hot either and wasn’t the best.

The staff are so lovely and the food is amazing - vastly improved in all areas since re opening - would recommend to anyone, it's delicious!

Visited again yesterday for the first time since it’s been renovated, lovely food, nice and fresh and always topped up.

Sadly 2nd visit was no improvement to first visit. Food appears to be drenched in oil. May be it’s just my taste but would not recommend.

Went for a meal with our girls for our 22nd anniversary. One is fussy. Reasonable choice, could improve vegetarian options. Broccoli, beans and vegetables were delicious. Crispy Seaweed was perfect. Good range of desserts. Planning our return journey

Went for saturday lunch. Loads of choice all warm and fresh!! Well worth the money so much improved from my last visit

visited saturday evening 1 st feb , the place was full but we had booked and were seated right away, chairs were great and comfy.we had not been for a long time and can say we all enjoyed our meals , my wife would have just had half a dozen soup bowls if we let her , my grandson who can be picky at times woofed his food down which included a steak cooked while he waited,between us six we must have tried most of the dishes and nothing really dissapointed , all had a really good time,,,,,,,great food and good selection .........over the years of coming here i dont think we have had a bad time...........people who criticize i think are expecting a la carte food for bufffet price.....we have always said we would try the a la carte but are happy to just enjoy selecting the things we choose when we choose...........shredded duck and seaweed were GREAT

We've visited this restaurant many times over the years and the standards did deteriorate,however,since the refurbishment I have to say it's now back as good as it ever was.The buffet is fresh, plentiful and tasty,and excellent value for money.Service discrete and with a smile ... thanks all for giving us back a great place to eat.

Visited for lunch, there were quite a few people in actually for midweek which surprised me. There wasn’t much to choose from (which I would understand if it was completely dead) but the food included cocktail sausages, chicken nuggets, chips and meatballs.. which I didn’t expect to see at a Chinese buffet? Anyway, the actual Chinese dishes were cold and there wasn’t much there. The chicken wings and ribs and some other starters were nice. My sister asked someone for some clean tongs for dessert as there wasn’t any for the particular dessert she had chosen and she told me it felt like she was “asking for the world”. Anyway, all in all it wasn’t brilliant. Would I return? No.

We came on saturday evening, 4 adults a teen and a child. Even though it was really busy we were seated quite quickly. The food was hot and well replenished constantly. We all had plenty to of choice, from chicken nuggets for the children to duck and pancakes, ribs and soup. The mains were delicious also with plenty of choice yet again. The pancakes that were made fresh were a hit with the kids, as well as the chocolate fountain. I thought £90 for 6 was really good value and we shall return again.

Had a meal here over the Xmas period it was cold and very limited variety of food couldn’t recommend this to anyone else

Visited tonight for the 1st time in a while . There has been a huge improvement .

We pre-booked for 21st December (thinking it would be busy so near to Christmas) however at 8.30am we were the only two there! Food was hot, fresh and plentiful. Staff were friendly and very attentive. My only personal gripe was paying extra for visiting on a Saturday? Normally we visit during the week when it's £12.99 each for the buffet. It appears that on a Saturday it goes up to £14.95 (although the food was no different on a Saturday?)

We come here, 12 of us, every December for a buffet meal - 7 years now - my Christmas treat to my family. Food is better than ever, lots of choice, even for me. I have non coeliac wheat intolerance so cross contamination isn’t an issue for me, but allergens are clearly marked on each buffet item, meaning I can easily avoid wheat. Lovely food, more meat choices than last year - several different flavour/ types of rib, seafoods, salt n pepper prawns were lovely, plenty of veg on offer, fresh fruit, ice cream and even a chocolate fountain. Restaurant has been refurbed and is more restaurant and less canteen than before. Food counters are better designed and cleanliness is plain to see. Plenty of staff, attentive service. Our bill for 12 was just £193.00. As ever, we will be back. Thank you again.

The eastern court became the New Easter Court and it was always good and Im plaeasd to say that since it was under new management that the experience of buffet chinese food is still first class in terms of choice and taste and quality

I’ve eaten here several times before. But this is the first time I been since new management have taken over and it’s been changed inside. The duck was very dry and I didn’t enjoy it. There wasn’t as much choice as there used to be. It was clean and the staff were quick to clean your table but felt like I was being rushed. I burnt my hands a few times on the utensils to get food. It’s not safe for children to get their food. Then when we went to pay they tried to charge us for drinks we didn’t have and an extra meal. We got them to remove the drinks but all they kept saying was don’t understand. It it was plain to see on the receipt 3 meals not 2. I got fed up of arguing and walked out. It was my birthday and they ruined it. I won’t be going back. I spoke to a friend about it and she said they tried to do it to her. So check your receipt when you pay

This restaurant has recently reopened and is off to a good start. The food is good and staff are pleasant. Everything seemed clean and organised - worth a trip!

We drove past in the way to junction 32 and decided to go back for lunch. £8.50 all you can eat at lunch was a brilliant price, and the choice was really good. Plenty of starters including duck pancakes, chicken and sweetcorn soup and spring rolls. 5 or 6 main courses and the same in deserts, there wasnt any boiled rice out but we asked and they brought it to the table fresh for us. Theres plenty of space and it shows you what variety they will have on the evening buffet, which we are going to try next Time I think. The tables were clean and staff nice and attentive, sometimes too attentive tho trying to take plates when we weren't quite finished. Not a problem tho. A nice pleasant and we will be back, next time with our fussy teen daughter.

Following a complete makeover of this place a while ago I expected the food to be improved but somehow they concentrate on presentation than quality, it is bland and easily beaten for quality by nearly every take-away in the area so despite trying it three times since its rebirth we won’t be going back as it simply isn’t good enough anymore!

The place is ok and no better the entrance and the first thing you see is a badly cared for fish tank poor , the food was just acceptable but a little cold staff where friendly couldn’t recommend really it’s just ok for the price

Food is very good but the table staff are rude and rush around too much. The tables were being emptied before guest had even left the tables.

This is a very busy restaurant. Good choice of well presented food. Good salad bar, excellent desert with choice if fruit. Good chocolate fountain. Bar with plenty of choice. Would highly recomend, we will go back. All you can eat for £14.50.

Visited at lunchtime and were met by very friendly staff. There was a good range of food on offer and it was all freshly cooked and very tasty. The food is placed in the serving dishes in small amounts and replaced frequently so it never gets dried out.

Not true what everyone saying it was lovely and the guy that owns it. His business is suffering from fake new spread over social media .

Came here last night with family and had a really good meal. I’ve visited Eastern Court previously but not been back for ten years. It was always fairly good but the buffet no is excellent. Huge choice and ideal for anyone with a huge appetite. I take the point made by a previous reviewer that a lot of the buffet options are very salty but there are less salty, healthier options on the menu. We all went home contentedly full with a bill for three adults and one hungry child, food and alcoholic drinks under £70. Very good quality and very good value. Went here for the first time and couldn’t believe the choice compared to China city it’s unbelievable,!the food is much better here and the staff are much better too

My son wanted to go here to celebrate his birthday at a chinese restuarant, he chose to go here. We have been here many times for years, but this was the worst. Most of the dishes had an unbelievable amount of salt added. And I mean bucket loads, I could never eat that much salt in a week. I came away and felt quite ill for the rest of the day, bloated and this was the least I'd ever eaten there. The tongs were mega hot and I burnt my hands many times trying to put the food onto my plate. Won't be going again! And one very rude older chinese lady shouting and shoving in to fill dishes up that weren't even half empty. Seriously no need to shout or carry on like that! The table was sticky and my husband saw someone just brush another table down with a dry cloth rather than wipe it with a wet cloth, no wonder!

Very disappointed this time. The upstairs restaurant wasn't being used due to technical problems so we had to sit downstairs. It was very noisy and the table and seating were very sticky. The salt and pepper squid starter wasn't as good, maybe it was a different chef. We felt the waitress was rushing us to pay and leave.

Prawn toast was soft.. some of the rice was hard like it wasnt cooked.. burger was hard complained to staff & staff member rolled her eyes& had a stinking attitude. There was black bits floating in my cup of tea looked inside tea pot& it had loads of bits in & teapot was dirty yet again same staff member gave attitude & slammed fresh tea pot onto the table. I am shocked 3rd visit & the last one it shall be after the visit i had tonight. 1st & second visit food was scrumptious & staff were brilliant but seem to have gone down hill now

I took my daughter here as a birthday treat, having been recommended to visit by a work colleague. We fancied Chinese food and, as I am a greedy pig, an all you can eat buffet seemed a logical choice.We were not disappointed. Although it was a Thursday evening the restaurant was quite busy but with plenty of capacity for casual visitors. The decor is pleasant, light and airy and the restaurant is clean. We were shown to a table, served drinks and invited to help ourselves to food. There is a wide selection of foods for every palate and it is hot and fresh. There seems to be a good selection of drinks available from the bar (I was driving so stuck to Coke) and my daughter praised the gin drink that she had.Two drinks each came to almost £18 but you expect to pay over the odds in such a place. Overall we were both very happy with our visit and will go again.

We decided to take my two children here to try the all you can eat buffet. Not only were the staff friendly and helpful but they were great with the kids. The food was delicious, plentiful and presented really well. There was so much to choose from. The decor is beautiful and the free flow design makes it easy to navigate. Prices were brilliant and we can't wait to go again.

I was delighted when we went back for a late afternoon buffet at Eastern Court. We had been, when it had reopened. There had been very little variety of food and it wasn’t that tasty. BUT, this time the place was buzzing, the variety of starters, mains and dessert had increased AND it tasted lovely! The sweet and sour dishes, chicken and prawn dishes were gorgeous. The chicken tasted fresh, not processed, like many serve up. I wasn’t keen of the soups. That chocolate fountain, which I spooned onto my profiteroles and ice cream and fresh fruit, was to die for! And, usually I don’t bother with puddings. But, theirs were hard to resist. The kids loved going back and covering the marshmallows. You could tell they’d done it before, many times. The children there on Friday were enjoying the food and they were very well behaved, taking their turn and helping younger children to dip the marshmallows, or fruit. I was very impressed with them.

Shame really, we used to go here fairly regularly before it closed for a refurb and I believe change of ownership.We decided to see what it was like. We really really wished we hadn't ....

Beware as this has been given a ZERO FOOD HYGIENE RATING! Why would you eat there and risk it ? You are play ing with your health, it should be shut down.

The food was cold not much option seemed like it had been stood a while, Felt sick afterwards will not be returning!

People advised us that recently this restaurant had received a 0 on their hygiene inspection/review last month.. I googled it and found it to be true! However, I didn't let this put us off going and I'm so glad! I mean, they would have to have upped their game or they would have been closed down.. Right? Right!. Selection of food was absolutely phenomenal for a chinese buffet and there were things on offer that I've never had before (lamb dishes for example!) And it was all of really good quality too. The decor and layout is lovely and it's such a better atmosphere and experience than it was before. I really cannot say a bad word about our meal today. My other half said the toilets were spotless too. I am impressed

Went for a quick bite with family. Food was hot and tasty, and the staff were efficient. Very clean surroundings including the toilets.

Arriving more than two and a half-hours before the advertised closing time, we were very disappointed to find we were not getting the normal service, yet had to pay full price. The grill was being packed away and cleaned up. No more fresh food was being added to the buffet bowls. The music was turned off, the carpets were being flipped and rolled up, the manager was wandering around like a camp warden staring at the remaining diners, as if he were willing them to get up and leave so he could close down for the night. New guests were welcomed half an hour after our arrival (more than two hours before advertised closing), and we confirmed with staff that the advertised hours were correct.
