Great Takeaway Delicious Chinese in East London....Love It!!!!!! Staffs are humble n friendly....Loved it!!

I have seen some havoc reviews about this place, but now this place has changed and literally i like it, now its totally fresh and hygenic

Absolutely disgusting! The rices are both STALE not fresh at all. AND YOU GAVE ME GRAVY INSTEAD OF SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE. Wont be supporting your business anymore. Absolutely vile food tonight and had to throw half away AFTER noticing the sauce spread over our food was TASTELESS GRAVY!!!

This was one of the worst experiences we have had with a takeaway. I am vegetarian and both dishes i ordered came with. chicken in when I am not able to eat meat - if this was an allergy this would have been a serious problem. I am now fearing that I will become ill as I have not eaten meat for 12 years - really. disgusting service as they bartered with me for a. refund and even asked for the dishes back because they did not. believe I was telling the truth!! Terrible quality and service - do not order from here!

East ocean avoid waited over a hour for delivery when turned up freezing cold sweet n sour sauce like jelly . Told them come and take back £40 of food . Because we tried a chicken ball took money off for the chicken ball we tried . Horrendous

Chicken balls taste wierd, sweet and sour sauce not the average colour, curry chicken very oily, tasteless chicken pieces.

Sorry but the quality and taste of food was really bad.

Best Chines Takeaway, they're food is always up to standard and tasty too, hence i am always re ordering from them. As long as they are keeping me happy i am continuing to eat from them.

Chicken curry was spot on really tasty Large egg fried rice was overpriced for the size of the carton intact expensive the price they charge for rice is ridiculous Id be expecting half the price for the large carton and not £4.30 the chow mien bog standard the large bbq sauce was a polystyrene small cup, it was flavourless would have been as well with a cup of hot water and the shredded chilli beef again had not much flavour, by all means this isn't the cheapest chinese, its nothing to write home about if you are going to state large potions then make them LARGE not standard size Id hate to see the tiny cartons the regular sizing is at this place really disappointed in the sizing compared to the pricing really

I used to look forward to my chinese but in the past few years East Ocean is a Hit or Miss. Unfortunately ystrdy was a Miss. Just not as tasty as before :-(

Unfortunately the vegetarian meals are Infact cooked with the same oil used for pork, chicken, lamb etc so not suitable for vegetarians at all. The order was sent back via the driver but the the away didn't even contact us. Disappointed.

Overall food was good. Hot and came earlier than expected.

Asked for the food to come at 9:45 because I was travelling back from the airport, they delivered it 30 minutes early without any notification. Very annoying.

Delivery took 2hrs to reach me , having in mind I'm leaving 1mile away from the restaurant!!!! Unacceptable

Food that came was wrong and tasted bad. Chicken (if it was even chicken) was tough and felt like I was eating on cardboard. Terrible. Was also 15 minutes later than the app said.

Food arrived cold, chow mein very greasy and curry sauce and sweet and sour sauce we re both congealed blobs in pots. Never again

Not the first time I have ordered from this place but the first time I've found a pebble in my food 3/4 of the way through. Really concerning as I could have damaged a tooth and not exactly sure how or why there was any type of stone near the food prep area.

Gave us the wrong food, I asked them to change it and also change the correct part Of the order as it will be cold before the other bits arrive and they still manage to mess it up. Second time Iv had bad experience with this place and no apologies either.

Awful service. Left note saying that we did not wont any vegetable on chow mein however turned up with vegetables. Asked for curry sauce was giving sweet and sour. However when phoned to tell them they was rude and told me i would have to pay for the new items. DISGUSTING. I have ordered from these a few times and this is the last.

Really not impressed........ My food turned up 30 mins late & the food was cold!! I rang them 3 times to be told my delivery should be with me!! Will never use this take away again & I advise others to go elsewhere!! I didn't even get an apologie!!

Delivery man was polite and food came before expected time. Ordered Singapore fried rice, Seafood food rice and mixed sweet and sour balls - everything but the balls were nice. The balls had been fried for way too long and were hard to bite into. Its always one thing or another with East Ocean

Rang restaurant asking where order was and they advised there was no such order. In the mean time we put something in the oven, and then the order turned up....a bit frustrating

Duck was so cold n hard could not be eaten and was thrown away!

The food was quite a long time in coming and then there had been an apparent substitution without anyone checking it was ok. Chicken and Pork dishes were both a bit to wet with very slimly flavoured gravies. Rice was slightly overcooked. OK - but not close to perfect

Ordered 60 pounds worth of food and after calling 3 times order turned up 1 hour and 45 minutes after the order was placed I refused the order and sent it back this as appalling and considering I have ordered from here 2/3 times a week for over a year is not acceptable clearly no appreciation for loyal customers

Food came within 20 mins, really impressed with that. The chicken chinese style had no taste and was horrible, I threw the rest away. The Singapore fried rice has been consistently great and seafood fried rice was really nice.

Superb quality food, hot & tasty. Quickly delivered to us at the Travelodge ExCel. Will order again when we are next in London.

We've tried a few Chinese Restaurants around our area (London City Airport) but after a few bad experiences we now almost always use East Ocean. The food is great - the Sweet & Sour and special Kung Bo chicken are personal favourites - and the delivery time is always super prompt, and the delivery staff are very friendly. I highly recommend them!

Oh wow! I ordered the food at 7:15pm and it arrived at 7:45pm! It was hot and extremely tasty!! If i had to give a negative it would be the prawn and sesame toast it was a little over done!

Possibly the most tasteless Chinese meal ever.Chewy chilli beef , soggy seafood rice (with not much seafood) and greasy pork chow mein. Another one to avoid , not cheap either.

Whilst the food arrived relatively quickly, the quality was poor. I found it slightly more expensive than other chinese restaurants in the area yet the food was pretty bad. The only item that had flavour was the hot n sour soup. The rest was tasteless and certainly wasn't fresh. Ignore the good reviews for this place, i will never order from them again. There's so much better out there

Waited nearly 2 hours for food to be delivered and the delivery driver didn't apologise and didn't care.

House special fried rice was delicious. Chicken Chinese style was a nice piece of breast but fairly tasteless. Overall arrived in a reasonable timeframe and was nice.

The food was delivered nearly 30 minutes later than originally stated, on phoning to enquire they were helpful and apologetic - as was the delivery guy. The food was still hot, and of average quality. I think I shall be looking elsewhere for Chinese in my area.

The best takeaway Chinese food!

Quantities were very good, however my lemon chicken was just a chicken in a plastic box with a lemon..

An hour and a half to get a very simple order, three phone calls and the food really wasn't that great when it finally arrived - much better places out there. The delivery guy had had to drop off four other orders before he got to me. Don't believe the delivery times on the website, nor the lady who tells you the driver is 5 minutes away.

Delivery guy was rude, and looked shifty. Food was very oily. House special had too much rice and less of the other. Completely got bumped. Other little things ordered was OK. Like the sweet corn crab soup and spring rolls, which is the stuff you can't get wrong. Overall very average. The delivery guy needs to watch what he says, maybe not be so nice next time. Oh I mentioned that already.

Absolutely shocking!!! waited around 1hour 45 mins, After calling numerous times to enquire how much longer it would be he kept saying "driver is on his way" and was in no rush to continue talking to me and quite promptly ended the call. Finally the food arrived.... cold, fast food standard followed by excuses why it took so long.....
