I recently tried the Sweet and Sour Chicken from Good Friends, and it was a delightful experience. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, while remaining tender and juicy on the inside. The sweet and sour sauce had the ideal balance of tanginess and sweetness, coating each piece of chicken generously without being overwhelming. The accompanying vegetables were fresh and added a nice crunch to the dish. Overall, the Sweet and Sour Chicken was satisfying and flavorful, making it a great choice for a quick and delicious meal.

Okay food but licked there finger when cooking and very slow

I ordered from this place for the first time. At the time of ordering I specifically asked for as little oil as possible in my special chow mein and special fried rice, when I took delivery of the order and opened them, you could literally see the rice/chow mein swimming in oil. Couldn’t eat it all went in the bin

Very friendly gentleman who served us. The food was fresh, hot and tasted amazing. Well seasoned with a nice spice! Will definitely go back for more!!

Awful customer service!!! Got my order wrong twice in one night. The food was disgusting and I don't believe the chicken was real chicken. I advise that their meat should be tested by the trading standards. When I called to tell them I was not happy with the order, the lady was ignorant and rude. I asked to speak to the manager and was told the manager does not speak my language. I will NEVER order from these people again!!!!!!!!

DON’T ORDER FROM THEM!! The Worst customer service EVER for a take way restaurant., the lady that answers the phone was disrespectful, rude and has an attitude problem. She told me she wouldn't be refunded me again for order she got wrong and then put the phone down.... They don’t deserve any stars. Hygiene terrible I found a gold teeth cap in my food... I guess they were chatting over the food or spitting in my food.

Wrong order taken/ raw meat given the woman who answered the phone was abrupt I ask to speak to the manager as my food was delivered they said the The manager doesn’t speak my Language which by the way is English. I’m unable to make a complaint about raw meat in my food. This restaurant should be shut down immediately !!! I will be reporting this to trading standards

Ok I been here a couple times just for convenience and it was mediocre Just ordered a special curry no seafood as I’m allergic and got this I was a chef for a while and I’m not even sure if what’s in the picture is meat It was Basicly mushrooms and onions and whatever the hell that stuff in the picture is I wouldn’t even give to my dog Ended up wiv a Maccies Avoid avoid avoid

Do not order the roast duck with plum sauce absolutely disgusting. The sauce was not even a plum sauce is was some thick ooze. This place has been going down for sometime. I will no longer be ordering from this takeaway shop again. When call them to express that they must of sent me the wrong meal, they said the chef said it was correct and put the phone down. So just wasted my money.

Terrible service/customer service. Said food and delivery would take an hour and a half. After that time I still hadn't received my food. I rang 5 mins after latest time. They said the driver was on their way. 10 minutes later I call again as still hadn't arrived. They said they will be a further 10 minutes (still no apology). I then rang up 10 minutes later, 3 rings it took me before they picked up. I asked for a refund (still no apology), they put the phone down on me 3 times, not confirming that I have asked for a refund. I explained I had 5 kids to feed all under 10. (Quiet and yet still no apology). I then rang again and they said the man was outside, which was yet another lie as I was outside. I mentioned refund again she said we can't, you have to do it through just eat (still no apology). I will never use them again! Utter shambles of a place, rude and and unprofessional!!!

Twice now I've had issues and it's from their wrongdoing. First was hair in my food - got all the way home, had to call up to notify and had to drive back to get an exchange, there was NOTHING ADDED for good will gesture by them for this. Second was the wrong order, by a young girl taking the order, I ordered salt 'n' pepper ribs as always, again only finding out they had given me purely dry ribs (no salt 'n' pepper seasoning at all) once I had driven home. I called up and was told I "won't get anything free" but will get it swapped only if I returned the wrong item. Despite this requiring an additional drive there w/petrol and back at cost to the customer. She told me "but you said you wanted them dry". Of course I want the ribs 'dry', this is a rubbish excuse she used for getting the order wrong, that I said I wanted them dry. Salt 'n' pepper comes dry not wet. But that doesn't mean I don't want them to be salt 'n' pepper ribs anymore. I think they need to work on their understanding of the answers to their questions. One thing doesn't negate another. Me saying I want the ribs dry doesn't mean I no longer want them to be salt 'n' pepper if that's what I initially specified. It's just education. They seem to be hell bent on minimising their costs while putting customers costs on the line without offering anything in return when they get things wrong. This is greed and not best practice. If you make an error that requires a customer to be at a loss, you as a business must go above and beyond, they must learn this lesson. It alters the experience when they argue and make you eat their food mad at them, and they don't see that the customer makes their business Oh and in 2023, they still only take cash and not a card machine? I wonder why that is. Given the amount of business they generate, the cost of running a card machine is not the issue, maybw it is easier to fiddle the finances - it is very inconvenient for customers when many of us are cashless

This Chinese takeaway restaurant is one of the best in the area. Their food is consistent in flavour and service. I would definitely recommend.

Awful - would not recommend. My flatmate ordered the Singapore chow mein and chicken balls and has been violently throwing up for the past day with terrible food poisoning. Chicken balls, upon inspection, after eating a few, we had realised were very undercooked. The vegetarian Singapore fried rice was very bland and dry - tasted very stale. The vegetable spring rolls were soggy and oily. Wouldn’t even give this place a one-star rating given how unwell it’s made us, and certainly would not recommend.

I have been coming for the lat year looks clean at the front but the kitchen doesn’t and I just saw one of the kitchen staff picking chicken from the floor when getting orders ready, I’m definitely not going back.

Amazing service even if they forgot my item customised, I was very surprised by the quality of attention and service by Audrey and how she served me. Working in the hospitality business I know people that are good are hard to find especially with customer care and complaints but my complaint was dealt professionally and with awareness of fault and apologetic. They change the order from the deliver several times. So of you ordered for 8pm, if you are lucky you will have it at 9.30pm... And of course the quality of the food gets bad

Their food is excellent, but one guy who answered the phone got my order wrong three times even the delivery guy was fed up re-delivering. Told the guy at Good Friend what number my meal was on the menu and still he got it wrong. Ended up with nothing to eat. Not so Good Friends after all haven't been back since. Update-August 2022 The only way that you can guarantee that the food is of an excellent standard it is better to go there in person. Ordering by apps means that a meal is probably rushed along with everyone else's delivery orders.I have now updated my score to five stars😊

Ordered take away in store. Staff took the time to understand and customise my Szechuan Chicken dish to include a generous portion of Sichuan peppers. Very tasty! Also enjoyed the King prawn fried rice. All done in 10 minutes.

No replacement could be sent as we are”too far” but yet they delivered it to us and the beef is there but its very tiny! Mate its just batter with no taste i couldnt eat it so had to place another order else where. Do Not shop here save your money worst Chinese ever!!!

Have decent vegetarian options that are super tasty, fast takeaways and although it might be a bit difficult for take the orders, this palace is a hidden Chinese gem in Stratford. ❤️

I ordered sweet and sour pork balls, steamed prawn dumplings and banana fritters in syrup, I had some issues with my phone number but the restaurant was very friendly and made sure everything was okay, the delivery was fast and the delivery guy was very nice too. As for the food everything was good, the prawn dumplings were specially tasty and the portions aren't small!

Been ordering from Good Friend take away for many years now,I've gone to others for just a change,nowhere near as good so come back to Good friend again! Very good value for money,very good variety of food,and though I don't mind waiting they always deliver within half hour,One time we had bad thunder and lightening and pouring down and he still made it within time!

The crispy duck is amazing,noodles and rice are good,not very impressed with the sweet and sour pork hong kong style-batter and meat were ok, but had too many onions and the sauce was not to my taste. Good overall, I will order from them again.

Really good food, expect the duck with pineapple was very over done but overall the restaurant service 10/10, note you have to tell them if you want crackers or a drink!! But they were great and sorted it quickly. Would order again. Overall like an 8.5 out of 10

I often order my food from good friends foods always lovely however tonight I've been trying to get through to them for over 40 mins and the line is constantly busy.. when I finally get hold of them the lady was rude she has no customer service what so ever it's not the first time she's been rude the lady has no manners at all.. I find it very disrespectful to be spoken to In the manner I have been.

Food was hot and quickly delivered but just wasn’t all that tasty. Crispy shredded beef had a weird fishy flavour to it. Roast pork chop suet was passable.

This place has the worst service. I ordered food and they delivered the wrong food. I called to inform them of This mistake, a lady answered saying we are closed and put the phone down. The food was surprisingly very tasty. The best surprise was how nicely cooked the Szechuan king prawn was. It was juicy and large. Only slight complain is everything was a tad salty. Will order again!
