What a gem of a find Earsham Hall Tearooms was. I wanted somewhere out of the ordinary to have lunch as a surprise for my sister's 70th birthday as we were en route to somewhere else and this was as perfect as it could be. The food was incredible, the service was impeccable, the setting perfect and all the staff were amazing. The banter we had with the staff made the visit and we cannnot recommend this highly enough. We shall definitely return and it can't come soon enough.

Such a wonderful cafe, warm and wonderfully friendly staff catered for our gluten free needs as well. Amazing atmosphere, freshly cooked food, from the menu or specials board. Today the mushroom stroganoff and macaroni cheese was scrummy. Great value for money you can choose from toasties, sandwiches, soup etc. Cakes selection to die for. Just love this place. You may want to book ahead as it does get busy.

Well, today was an odd one. Called into Earsham Hall for lunch, probably my 4th or 5th visit. There were several tables free. I ordered the special of bacon, sausage and egg bap. I got served a strange sweet brioch roll. Eggs was overcooked, sausages and bacon were tasty. When we went to pay we were handed a card and told we should have booked!! On leaving we were told "Oh, good there are people in the shop waiting for this table". All a bit odd. I'm not sure I'll be going back.

This place is unrecognisable to how it used to be. The setting is beautiful and the shop is of a high standard. Unfortunately once you step foot into the tea room all ambience is lost. Tables are starkly placed around the room with Covid barriers still up creating no atmosphere. It doesn’t feel clean and the marble tables and chairs are just so out of place. Smells of bacon when you walk in which is off putting. Limited menu which is the overpriced for the quality. Just awful compared with the exciting food options available elsewhere locally. Definitely won’t be back unless there are big changes. Suggest the owner visits other stately home tearooms for some inspiration and to get an understanding of the quality that should be on offer.

What’s the heck has append to this previously lovely place. I cannot believe it has now let itself down so badly. I went there with a group of friends having told them how wonderful it was, only to find the new decor had lost some of its old world charm, and as for the menu or should I say what menu, only a few items on the blackboard and sadly none very appealing. I apologized to my friends and suggested that we leave, but we decided that now we were there we would just make do. So please, please sort out what appears to be a problem here so that once again we can return.

Called here for brunch expecting it to be much the same charting and eater friendly place as when last called. Ordered food and cappuccinos to go with. Possibly the worst coffee we had ever tasted, tepid, weak and watery with undissolved bits of possibly chocolate floating about on the top. Quite horrible.

Very polite and pleasant. Drinks arrived without delay, unlike the sandwiches which may have been waiting for the hens to lay the eggs...waited approx 30 mins by which time drinks were cold!No offer of salt/pepper condiments. However the sandwich was very nice and almost worth the wait.Requested the bill which took a further 20 mins! All in all nice courtyard, nice polite ando helpful staff, very nice food.....the wait....well if you have time...possibly worth the visit!

We spontaneously booked this one off evening dining experience, having been tempted by the mouth watering menu of a coffee and scone Sunday morning visit a month or so back. We were not disappointed. Fabulous front of house welcome and service, great atmosphere and setting. Food and wine faultless. All very reasonably priced for quality received. Left feeling very full but happy. Only criticism was the uncomfortable chairs. They looked great and in keeping with the environment but hard as.... Saw Earsham’s planned roasts online. We went for Roast Beef day today -£16 for two courses. It was delicious. Vegetables were buttery and the gravy was especially tasty. Plates weren’t piled high - it was just enough food to then be able to enjoy desert; rich brownies with a caramel sauce. Jason was a charming, attentive and funny host. We wandered off rather hungry and browse the shop not very hopefully we would get to have lunch. As we wandered we then heard the words. We happened on Earlsham Hall while on a longish bike ride, spotted the tea-rooms and cafe sign, and we're so pleased we did. Had some of the best eggs benedict we've had for a long time (they're impressively generous with the hollandaise sauce) and ate them sitting in the sun in the attractive courtyard, close to the craft and gift shop too. Friendly staff, space to relax for a little while, and enough others around to give the place some atmosphere without it feeling crowded. Visited here on sunday 1st May 2016, which was the day of the Classic Vehicle Rally & Country Fayre show. I had previously looked at online menus a few days before hand, however upon entering the tea rooms there was no menus to be found. The cafe was very busy but I managed to ask a staff member where the menus was, and was pointed towards a board with about 6 items on. Very little selection and most of it was hot food, no snacks/toasties/sandwiches except just one. The menu inside did NOT match what is available online. It wasn't clear if the tea room had waitress service or not, or if you had to go to the counter to order. The latter proves difficult for someone who is on their own, as there are only about 6 tables and if you join the long que of people you will likely end up loosing the table... In the end I just decided to get a slice of cake. But this also proved a messy set up - there were several cakes laid out on a table but none were labeled as to what they were, there were no prices, it was unclear on if you just helped yourself and take it to the counter, and I wasn't sure if you could take away or not. So in the end I had to que up to ask all this. Turns out the cakes are £2.20 a slice, you can take away but you can't help yourself, the waitress gets it for you. I had a slice of victoria sponge, it was a fairly big slice and not bad tasting. However, I feel this little tea room could be a lot more successful if it was just a little more organised. I still don't understand why the menus do not match what they advertise online; although from looking at other reviews I am wondering if this problem only occurs on Sundays. If you are not a regular it feels very messy and over whelming. Staff were okay but didn't go out of their way to help or overly friendly. I would give this tea room another chance on a different day as I hope this would just be a one off and possibly due to the demand of people from the show, but going on my experience today I would only rate this average unfortunately.

Visited with my mum for lunch, after normally visiting for savoury tea. It started bad when we walked in, no hello!! We sat down and order was promptly taken, my mums cappuccino came out cold, it was replaced with a (warm cappuccino) with no saucer or spoon or even a sorry, I had a toasted sandwich which was average supermarket bread, no one came to check with the other cappuccino was ok or the food! no lovely bakers bread which we had before. I felt the specials board needed more of a variety, when we last came it had lovely specials such as (spaghetti bolognese, all day breakfast, scotch egg salad, sausagmeat plait) this time I was very disappointed. We called in for coffee while visiting the lovely homeware and furniture show room. However, the staff in the tearoom seemed happier chatting to each other rather than greeting and seating clients. We weren't sure if we had to seat ourselves or order at the counter and it was difficult to get attention to solve our dilemma. Once we were settled, the cheese and fruit scones were great, probably nicest ever. But helpful if cakes etc were listed and priced on a menu rather than being displayed at the counter and elsewhere for selection. Another gripe was that it was almost impossible to get information re their full afternoon teas - eventually we were able to speak to the (apparently) one member of staff who could help us, but some written information on the tables with the menus (or some staff training) would have made the exercise less convoluted and I must say, less frustrating. We were interested in booking afternoon tea for a small group of friends, but are a little reluctant after this experience.

School hols and bored child. Let's go to the tea rooms for home made soup and sarnie a and his favourite sausage a nod caramelised onion roll. Greatly disappointed to find no longer my favourite foods. I had a lovely salad however which was very tasty and varied but oh how I missed my comfort food. Lovely staff.

The standard of food at the tearooms is exceptional. The food is freshly cooked with a variable menu and the service is excellent. Once a month they do a special dinner menu which is very good value.

Having been here with my family for breakfast and , indeed for a " pie night " I would recommend highly . Food is cooked to order so fresh and tasty every time , specials board is varied and cake selection to die for . The scones are freshly baked and enormous , delicious and fluffy . Staff are friendly and efficient . All in all a light relaxing atmosphere with friendly welcoming staff .

We went to Earsham hall to look at furniture. We decided to have a drink and bite to eat while we were deciding on which bit of furniture we wanted. We are glad we did!The tea room is bright and airy.. It has a good menu with a board for specials. The staff were lovely, friendly and attentive. You do have to wait for your food but it is done as you order, not pre prepared. The delightful thing is they do not make you have all the

This was the first visit for lunch since the new owners have taken over, the decor is much nicer now especially the seating area outside. We did Ladies that lunch! we said we would like a coffee first and than order lunch later, which was no problem. We all ordered the Roasted Vegetable Lasagna, they apologized as it was still in the oven and may be a little time, which was no problem as it gave us more chatting time!! It was worth waiting for as it was delicious. The staff are very friendly especially the owner, will definitely be going back.

I love visiting Earsham Hall Pine warehouse/shop. Afterwards we usually have a meal or a snack in the Tea Rooms. Results have been quite variable. The daily specials are the best thing on offer, followed by the cake selection. It's the service which changes so much. One of my main complaints though has been cold plates and hot food. The problem could be staff training or cramped cooking space.

My Mother, sister and I have started visiting the properties in the "Invitation to View" brochure with Earsham Hall being one of them. These are dwellings not open to the public normally but are usually open once a month by invitation! (Google Invitation to View for more information) We were warmly greeted by the owner, Annabell, who gave us a 2 hour very informed history and tour of the building before we were led into the tea rooms where we were greeted by Jill who served all 21 of us a delicious afternoon tea which included ham and cream cheese sandwiches accompanied by a salad garnish and fruit scones with butter, jam and cream - divine - all in a wonderful setting! Jill has now included her Christmas menu on her web site, which will also be available in the evening, and informed us of the Christmas market which she has organised at the hall for the last ten years is to be on Wednesday 3rd December from 6.00 pm. This is definitely worth a visit as lots of the outer buildings of the hall are crammed full with delightful items to purchase. Well done to the family for working so hard to keep the building by diversifying in various ways.

I have visited Earsham Hall Tearooms many times and the food is always good. Anything that comes with their gorgeous fruity salad is particularly good. Service is a bit slow at the moment but this is a temporary issue due to maternity leave. The wait is worth it. Sandwiches are always full of filling.

I haven't been to the tea room for many years, having moved away from the area, but as I had always been consistently impressed by the quality of the food and friendly helpful staff here, I decided to take my parents today for morning coffee. We were very disappointed with the choice and quality of food. We arrived half an hour after opening but there were no fresh scones or fresh cakes - what we did have was dry. Would not recommend to friends - although from previous reviews it looks like this may be a problem mainly on Sundays.

Having been to the tea rooms some years ago and always having had exceptional food and service we were shocked by the tea room. We went on a Sunday, late morning and there was only one other family there which should have been an indication as it was always full before. There was no menu on the tables, nothing on boards and the waitress said there were bacon, egg or sausages available in a bap. With little option that it what we went for along with cups of tea. The bacon bap was awful ... the bread roll was the cheapest type of roll available from supermarkets with a sparse amount of bacon in it, not good at all. The tea was a run of the mill cheap leaf tea, nothing exceptional. We were disappointed to say the least and that was overtook with shock when we went to pay. Since we had not received a menu or any form of price list even for drinks, I think my husbands mouth hit the floor when we got the bill. The sign says they do Sunday lunches but when leaving at noon nothing like that was prepared and the tea room was empty.

Sitting in the courtyard outside this lovely cafe in Earsham Hall, near Bungay you could be anywhere in the world. Expect a warm friendly welcome every time and lovely homemade lunches and cakes. Then after lunch have a slow walk around the adjoining shop to find that gift that you won't find elsewhere.Highly recommended.

I came with my wife and my little girl and despite some noice she made, the stuff was very friendly and helpful, good quality, delicious and original food, from the salad we had, the main order and the cakes, we were there in winter as well and it was also a warm place to share some quality time with your partner or small family.

This may be off the beaten track but well worth a visit, they do the best scones around even beating my beloved John Lewis (Norwich) ones. There is an excellent choice of light lunches which change on a regular basis and then the normal selection of sandwiches etc. The dinning area is warm and cosy in the winter and there is out door seating for the summer. I love this place so go and try it!

Dreadful ‘brunch’ experience Extremely poor customer service, one menu for 3 people, lack of interaction and information with a misleading menu. States they had a ploughman’s sausage roll which when we order we were told it wasn’t available. No signs as to what the cakes were, asked, the one we wanted although there were some on display were then ‘unavailable’ Ordered 2 diet cokes as husband is insulin controlled diabetic, 2 large glasses of coke arrived, I took a sip, and questioned what coke it was to be told she had indeed served us ‘normal’ coke….potentially very dangerous!! When the diet cokes then did arrive they were half the size of the original ones… There was also no ice. Cheese scone ordered, arrived dry and solid. There were only 3 other people in the cafe besides us 3, and we waited a ridiculous amount of time for food and drinks. When the toastee arrived rather than walk an extra few steps she lent over the banister, and 2 of our party to pass to me at the far end of the table when she could of just walked round and put it down in front of me. Overpriced and food disappointing compared to other local cafe’s. This was the first time we had visited and it will most definitely be the last. Give this terrible establishment a very wide berth!

Such a wonderful place. The cakes and pastries are absolutely top notch. Also, usually find it difficult to get decent coffee in this country, but the coffee in Teles Patisserie is so good, really rich and flavoursome. Realky friendly people too. I'd fully recommend a visit.

My first time back for 6 years when Carorline still used to serve the "Naughty breakfast" in their old premises across the road. Now replaced by 3 others which includes the "Large breakfast "which is a feast. Consistent quality over three visits in a fortnight & a lovely warm welcome every time. Worth a trip all the way from Africa.

Arrived at 15.32 to be informed not taking any orders as they had “Turned the machines off”. Was only two of us, didn’t even ask if it was a soft drink we wanted but still managed to re issue a hot drink to another visitor that had cows milk in rather than Soya. Hostess who greeted us was quite abrupt and rude.
