Great little pub. Quality beers and nice gins and wines for the ladies. Closes early, so don't leave your visit until last orders.

Cosy tiny pub with great selection of craft beers. Decent prices (unlike many craft beer places down south). Lovely calm vibe.

Fantastic place Visiting the town as a couple to play golf and were recommended early doors from a local. Had gin and local ales - all beautiful. Went really well with one of the scotch eggs, which was amazing. Great, warm, attentive staff and bustling friendly atmosphere for a Saturday night. We will be back.

Visited this place in January . Dark and dingy inside down an alleyway with just a couple of senior gentleman inside. Landlord looked like he didnt want to be there. Miserable and on his phone all the time. Better places in Daventry than this.

I Have been a regular customer at Early Doors since it first opened. Although it has changed hands the quality of the beer is Just the same. It still remains a real little gem with its traditional old fashioned pub feel. No bar games or loud music. Great to meet and have a chat with your friends.

We have visited this place a couple of times now and have really enjoyed the atmosphere. Good selection of beers and cider but I am gin fan and I am totally catered for.

Lovely place with a great selection of ale/cider and gin. Lovely owners. Only thing is, that it should be open on a Sunday for a few hours ;). Other than that, definitely recommend!

We have started going for a couple of pints in the evenings before a meal out recently having heard only great things. We've not been disappointed yet. A small but friendly 'micro' pub with a great choice of bitters and ciders as well as spirits, soft drinks and wines so no one is excluded. Managed to get a chance for a lunchtime pint and have something to eat. Was very quiet on a Thursday lunchtime but not sure if this is the norm. We had the scotch egg, pork pie and cheese board between 2. It was nicely presented and more than enough for us - although we didn't leave anything! Good tasty cheeses (5) and a rustic pork pie rather then the usual you get in the shops. Scotch egg was delicious, not too herby as often is the case. We're converts and if you like it simple but good, great beers and ciders - you should try it.

Caroline and Neil really have cracked it. This pub has at least 6 real ales on tap straight from the barrel as well as 3 local ciders. No lager,no jukebox, no dartboard, no pool table. Just a good old fashioned boozer where you go for a drink and conversation.

When working in Northamptonshire I occasionally stay in Daventry as it has a couple of good short let rentals. Unfortunately quality pubs are in short supply. But then last week we stumbled across Early Doors. What a breath of fresh air.

This little pub really is a gem, a diamond in the rough! The main focus is on real ale with up to 6 beers usually available, however, ciders, wines and gin are available for those who prefer something different. The ales are normally procured from local suppliers and served straight from the cask. A great place for friends to meet and chat without any of the normal chain-pub distractions. A limited range of bar snacks are available but a visit to Early Doors for me is food for the soul.

After visiting this tiny little pub the first time, I've not hesitated to go back again and again. The welcome is friendy. I think the furniture is all recycled - for example, the bar front looks like it's made out of old doors. There's a good choice of fairly local real ales that are presented in their casks, beer-festival style behind the bar. Wine is also available. There is a limited choice of 'grazing' food also on offer, but I haven't tried it. The place really is quite small and so there are only a limited number of seats. But there is also a table just outside the door in the mews. It's a welcome change of scenery from the likes of the national chain pubs.

If you are a real ale lover, this is the place for you. Normally about 6 different ales to choose from, with a different choice almost every day. Almost all the ales are from small Brewers, from about a 30mile radius, and served straight from the barrel. Local ciders, soft drinks, wine, and tea and coffee also available.

We visited the outdoor restaurant and pizza bar. The bar area had a really nice holiday vibe where you could sit outside overlooking a stunning showjumping arena. The staff were very friendly who quickly served us and took our food order. We had soft drinks and vegetarian burgers, with chips and homemade slaw. It was delicious and competitively priced. We'll definitely return soon, even if to just drink and take in the atmosphere.

A proper pub/restaurant in West Haddon. Our first visit on Thursday evening, met by welcoming and friendly staff. How good to see a menu of interesting and diverse dishes. And it did not disappoint. We had starter of Ham Hock Terrin, followed by the Beef short rib and The Brisket pie both with fresh vegetables. All well cooked and presented by an obviously competent kitchen. Everything was exellent. The food and drinks were very competitively priced and the whole place had a good vibrant atmosphere. We will be back soon to try some of the other mouth watering dishes.
