One of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had. Great service, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. The pork belly was fantastic. Food was really good value for money and plenty of it! Throughly recommended and will return.

Popped in for a quick lunch with our 15 month old daughter after visiting the nearby national trust property. The staff were fantastic. They were really accommodating to help our daughter, and keen to help in any way. The food was delicious, served in a good time and all lovely and fresh. We will definitely be returning.

Had a lovely family meal at the Yorkshire Grey. The food was fantastic especially the steak which was cooked perfectly and such good value. Well worth a visit and we’ll definitely be back.

Absobluminlutely fabulous - this was my 2nd visit and I'm sure it was better than the 1st if that's possible. The Sunday lunch was totally gorgeous. Great portions, lots of delicious roasties, seasonal veg and huge Yorkshire puds. I even had gluten free Yorkshires which was a lovely surprise. Great staff, very chatty and accommodating, All round wonderful Sunday experience well done team YG.

I had not been to this pub for nearly 25 years when it was OK. We ended up here as our original choice was closed for a private function. I am not sure how long it has been open in this open plan configuration but it works well a very roomy and pleasant room. The staff are really helpful without being overbearing. The service was excellent as was the food, the portions were very generous which made the experience even better however after a shared starter and a main course we were all to full for a sweet so settled on a coffee. The draught beer was good too. All in all a supberb lunch at a fair price. We will return at some point

Very good Sunday roast and desserts. Meals could’ve been a tiny bit hotter but were otherwise fantastic. Lovely friendly staff. Draft ales are well cared for.

We were staying in Upton and visited the Old Anchor pub, where we enjoyed puddings that had been made at this establishment. On leaving the pub we decided to find the shop in order to buy puddings to take home. Delicious homemade steamed puddings are available to buy from the shop or online. The puddings are all made on site using traditional methods and are big enough for 2 people to share. Currently they are £3.60 each or three for £10. We bought 3 of course and our only difficulty was choosing from the huge range available. They freeze well so no need to eat them all at once!
