Could be a good pub, but with some people f-ing and jeffing and a slow barman, it made it a bad experience. I'm not rushing back.

As I've never been to this pub before, I thought I'd pop in with my big sister. As a birthday treat I had my favourite cheeky pint of bitter, that was purfik I must say. The Service was great, the pub was spotless and people very friendly. We sat outside in the beer garden as it was a fabulous sunny day. The bowling green looked fantastic, I had to look twice to make sure it was real! As I was in a rush, I sadly didn't have any food here, but hope to next time. I believe they do live music here, so can't wait to visit then. As Arny says, "I'll be back"!

I would just avoid this place. The staff are rude and don’t understand they’re working in hospitality. Locals will stare at you if you’re not from there and the whole vibe is wholly unfriendly. Save your money.

Recently been renovated and is lovely inside with a bowling green to the back......Nice clientel and staff will go back and try the food but the drinks are nice and crisp with sports on the TV

Turned up on foofball night. Place has had a subtle but modern upgrade. Staff were very pleasant. Lots of people having food, and i have to say the food always looks great. Looking forward to having the sunday roast soon. Also there was a live band who were also very good. Ile be back soon

Walking in it was quite busy, alot of people in the actual bar area. We were greeted by the landlays dog who was adorable.... There was a little room of to the left which was a dining room. We ordered the steak pie, fish and chips and curry (the picture of the steak pie didn't do it justice). Hands down the best value meal we've had this year. Will definitely be back!

Returned again this week. Best food ,best staff, best beer garden , simply the best.had a lovely roast dinner today. Dog friendly

Just felt I had to write a review of this little gem ! I drove down from Liverpool to see my friend for the day and I fancied a roast dinner! He said I know just the place! We arrived and the staff gave us a good welcome ordered our meals we had a choice of four meats and sat down we hardly waited and our meals arrived its was delicious! We then decided to order a desert you have to try the Bakewell Sponge cake with custard I have never tasted anything so lovely! I think I would go back just for that! The lady on duty came and asked us if everything was to our standard as she did with our main meal ! Lovely quaint pub with a beautiful bowling green to view ! A little gem xx

We have been coming here for over 5 years and love the place normally coming and sitting out back in front of your bowling green. In the past they hadn’t served food at the pub and thought they were missing out of something here. We eventually got to try your Sunday roasts (we’ve been wanting to come for a while), it was excellent value and both struggled to eat it. Though homemade Yorkies and roasts made it feel homemade liked we had cooked it (ps great compliment) with a lot of veg. It felt like homemade and we both loved it. The staff were very welcoming and we will be back. Thanks

Nice little pub who started to do decent food quite recently. Very friendly owners and staff, a great firework display is normally put on and cannot speak any more highly of the beer garden and bowling green... perfect on a summer's afternoon. Great for putting the sport on with screens dotted all around too.
