Fresh & hot fish and chips. Had it delivered and the portion size was massive. Fish was fresh and all very hot. Compliments were due definitely be ordering again.

I go there when my wife gives blood down the road. Tonight it was quiet, beautifully clean and with new menu boards. Ordered cod and chips x 2. All cooked fresh and when the cod was being wrapped up, it looked good. But when we got home and eat the meal, the cod was spectacular, crisp skin and beautifully flaky fish, a triumph. The chips were good as well! Great place, thank you.

Very quick service, food was ready cooked, but it was hot and tasty. Cheaper than our local fish and chip shop. There were signs all around the shop saying please wear a mask - yet the server was not wearing one! It also was cash only, no credit or debit cards taken.

The delivery driver banged on the front door like a bailiff 😡 the fish was swimming in grease on the bottom but the batter was so hard and burnt on the top,i literally cracked it open only to find a small dry grey in colour piece of fish,supposedly cod🤔inside. The chips were Luke warm. I called the shop to tell them how dissopointed i was and to inform them that i was going to leave a review. The guy who answered the phone did offer me a free meal the next time we ordered, i declined.

Today I had the unexpected pleasure of experiencing a battered sausage and chips takeaway. The chips were cooked perfectly and the sausage was a good sized and well battered example. I'm led to believe from the friend that purchased the supper that the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. After many disappointing chip shop experiences over the years I was very pleased that this supper found it's way to me this evening. It has restored my faith in the world of fried food. Bravo to you. I will certainly be singing your praises and recommending your good selves to others in the future. Jon

I wanted sausages and chips on walking in the shop I see the sausages that must have been there a good hour, so I thought I'd have a large cod which was more batter than fish over cooked as was the chips, and not very hot .worst fish and chips have ever had.

Delicious fish and chips, medium fish size was more like large, big portions of chips and the vegetable roll tasted lovely, not over greasy, recommend

Delicious fish and chips packed in paper. Staff is really kind and friendly, they gave us free drink during waiting for the order. The space was clean, prices are really good and location is amazing.

Food is absolutely delicious since the new owners took over in September. Always cooked fresh , the family always comment on how crispy and golden the batter is on the fish and sausages. Portion sizes are always generous. The staff are all friendly and ready to help with any requests.

Best fish and chips I had for a long time. I requested a thin batter haddock extra crispy and it was perfect. Usually when I ask for a thin batter most of the fish and chips places refuse to do it. Couldn't be more satisfied. Five star all the way totally recommend.

Only go there as it's the nearest and open Sunday's. Now for the third time of going they can't even warm a pasty up. It was warm in parts stone cold in other parts and I mean cold. Also undercooked chips same as most other chip shops (that is not a compliment)

After hubby bought home double fish chips ate tried then saw smelt rotten off fish and chips made us both vomit and diarrhea for week safely say never buy or go back and hope someone can let council environment health know for us report them as sell rotten fish food to public someone could die if ate get food poisoning

We hadn’t been here for years but decided to try it again last week and it was delicious. Crispy batter, lovely fish and fabulous hot chips. The guy serving was friendly and helpful, keeping us smiling as we waited.

My parents used to go here until I introduced them to Oysters Fish & Chips and now they won't go anywhere else.

Been choosing Smith and jones recently because they've been spot on. But tonight, oh my god what happened! The chips must have been sitting there since lunchtime. Hubby bought them at 8.20pm. I'm actually a little scared we'll get sick. Thrown most of it away. I won't be using them again any time soon. Hubby did say they were quiet but that's no excuse for poor quality and standards.

Never again brought 2 portions of battered sausage and chips last Saturday the sausages were off , went back today to complain, and didnt even get an apology . Will be using MANOR PlAICE from now on, even if I have to drive there it will be worth it

Absolutamente chocante! ! Paga en tarjeta cuando pedimos, esperé dos horas! ! Probé llamando varias veces sin respuesta. Terminamos conducir allí para ser recibidos con actitud! ! No se me ofreció un reembolso aunque pagado para la entrega. Las patatas fritas eran frías y quemar cod estaba pasada y lleno de espinas. No lo recomiendo y no volver a utilizar! !
